Welcome

Boulder
I'm,
Jocelyn,
Evan
Daniel,
originally
developed
as
a
response
to
covid-19
outdoor
dining
in
Boulder,
has
been
expanded
through
October
2027
as
part
of
a
five-year
outdoor
dining
pilot
program.
Thanks
to
American
Rescue
plan
act
funds.
The
city
has
been
able
to
offer
a
subsidy
or
discount
on
infrastructure
leading
costs
for
participating
restaurants.
They
began
being
installed
earlier
this
month.
There
are
currently
24
participating
businesses
in
the
city's
outdoor
dining
pilot
program.
A
A
The
24
participating
restaurants,
17
will
have
their
outdoor
dining
infrastructure
in
the
public.
Right-Of-Way
and
seven
will
be
on
private
property.
Eight
restaurants
will
be
leasing
their
infrastructure
through
the
city,
while
the
others
will
be
purchasing
compliant
infrastructure
on
their
own.
There.
B
Are
three
options
available
for
eligible
businesses
to
participate
in
the
program?
Two
of
the
options
are
for
those
that
are
in
the
public
right
away.
They
can
either
purchase
their
infrastructure
individually
as
long
as
it's
compliant
with
the
program
rules
or
they
can
lease
from
the
city
paying
that
annual
infrastructure
fee
and
then,
lastly,
is
for
those
on
private
property,
so
they
can
purchase
their
infrastructure
individually
if
they
want
to
expand
onto
private
property.

Global
climate
Summit,
this
December,
a
three-day
Summit
addressing
the
interconnectedness
of
Human
Rights
and
climate
change,
find
out
what
it's
all
about
from
December
1st
through
the
4th,
the
United

human
rights
and
University
of
Colorado
Boulder
will
be
co-hosting
the
right
here
right
now,
global
climate
Summit.
It's.
C
Intended
to
really
convene
local
experts,
policy
makers
and
and
even
Congress
members
to
think
about
how
we
transform
what
our
really
Global
discussions
into
ways.
Our
country,
our
state
and
even
local
communities
can
think
about
how
to
examine
climate
change
through
that
lens
of
Human
Rights
experts.
A
From
around
the
world,
in
their
own
backyard
will
gather
to
discuss
climate
Justice
impacts,
obligations
and
solutions
tune
in
to
the
engaged
locally
series
to
hear
City
staff
and
Colorado
experts
talk
about
local
climate
and
human
rights
issues,
as
well
as
solutions
that
can
be
replicated
and
skilled
elsewhere.
Our.
C
Panel
is
going
to
explore
the
the
critical
connections
between
say
our
natural
systems
and
climate
stabilization
and
resilience
we're
going
to
talk
about
the
connection
between
our
housing
inequities
and
climate
disruption,
including
its
extreme
heat.
We
are
also
going
to
be
able
to
draw
the
important
connection
between
housing,
inequities
and
climate
driven
impacts.
A
D
Have
a
long
history
of
environmental
activism
here
in
the
city
of
Boulder
and
we've
been
working
on
climate
change
for
decades
and
in
fact
we
just
renewed
and
increased
a
climate
action
plan
tax.
So
we
think
there's
a
real
natural
relationship
between
this
conference
and
the
city's
values
and
the
work
we've
been
doing
for
a
long
time.
