all
things:
Boulder
I'm
Jonathan,
Daniel.
Two
years
ago,
the
city
of
Boulder
joined
a
unique
partnership
to
guarantee
that
238
apartments
would
remain
permanently
affordable.
These
housing
resources
are
important
in
an
area
where
rents
are
increasing
rapidly.
The
apartments,
however,
were
in
need
of
updating,
and
this
week
we
got
a
peek
at
the
results.

City
contributed
to
ten
point:
seventy
five
million
dollars
to
the
acquisition
of
all
three
properties,
all
of
which
up
for
sale
on
the
open
market
with
this
purchase,
the
city
was
able
to
guarantee
they
would
remain
permanently
affordable,
but
affordable,
doesn't
have
to
mean
shabby
from
the
beginning.
The
partners
were
committed
to
major
updates.
We've
been.
C
For
a
little
bit
over
a
year,
renovations
started
a
little
bit
before
that
a
lot
of
our
residents
got
to
stay
they
qualified,
so
we
didn't
even
have
to
move
a
lot
of
people
around,
so
they
got
to
stay
and
see
their
own
apartments.
They've
been
in
for
years,
just
improve.
Every
unit
was
given
new
floors.
Cabinetry
Hardware
the
bathrooms
got
some
beautiful,
subway
tiles,
and
just
you
know
anything
that
was
needed.
It
got
even
down
to
you,
know
nice
door
handles
on
everything
they
didn't.

Downtown
Boulder
is
a
bustling
place
with
employees
who
work
a
variety
of
shifts.
Those
who
drive
a
some
additional
challenges,
such
as
parking
thanks
to
a
temporary
program.
These
employees
will
now
be
able
to
purchase
19
permits
in
two
designated
parking
garages
from
now
until
the
end
of
December,
the
saint-julien
parking
garage
and
the
15th
and
/
garage
will
allow
downtown
nighttime
employees
to
park
at
a
reduced
rate
Monday
through
Friday,
with
a
permit.
The
experiment
is
in
response
to
feedback
from
downtown
employees
and
businesses.
This
nighttime
permit.
A
D
Although
all
of
our
full-time
employees
downtown
have
eco
passes
that
are
paid
for
by
the
city
of
Boulder,
through
the
Department
of
Community
vitality,
bus
service
isn't
always
great
at
2:00
a.m.
or
at
midnight.
You
know
people
may
or
may
not
feel
comfortable
at
that
time
of
night
biking
or
walking,
or
some
of
the
other
ways
that
they
might
get
home
permits.

The
Boulder
Public
Library
is
a
big
believer
in
the
personal
and
professional
growth
of
all
its
patrons,
and
that
includes
our
little
ones
through
its
1000
books.
Before
kindergarten
program,
children
are
getting
immersed
in
the
wonderful
world
of
reading
meet
Cameron,
while
he
may
just
be
three
years
old.
Cameron
has
read
more
books
than
some
half
in
a
lifetime.

It's
back
to
school
for
cu-boulder,
with
thousands
of
students
moving
into
housing.
While
many
students
live
off-campus,
the
university
offers
freshmen
dormitories,
and
this
required
the
inspection
of
almost
six
thousand
rooms.
A
More
than
six
thousand
freshman
and
32,000
degree-seeking
students
start
classes.
This
upcoming
Monday
August

move-in

The
last
couple
of
months,
the
city
has
offered
a
free
shuttle
service
for
visitors
wanting
to
access
your
taqwa.
The
pilot
program
was
implemented
to
address
parking
and
access
challenges
at
the
popular
open
space
destination.
With
the
end
of
summer,
the
program
is
coming
to
a
close
Sunday.
August
27th
is
the
final
day
of
service
and
the
new
Vista
High
School
lot
is
already
offline,
because
school
is
back
in
session
during
the
pilot
shuttle
ridership
average
that
around
1,800
people
each
weekend,
staff
is
analyzing
the
data
and
will
update
Council.

This
fall
community
members
can
still
provide
feedback
about
the
shuttle
pilot
by
visiting
the
website.

officially
a

which

will
start
to

Color

unfortunately
lose
their
spring
liveliness,
but
this
is
a
great
chance
for
gardeners
who
like
to
plan
ahead.
