start
off
this
week
with
your
2017
election
wrap-up.
There
were
six
measures
on
the
ballot
for
the
city
of
Boulder
and
five
seats
for
city
council.
Two
incumbents
will
return
to
City
Council
Mary,
young
and
Sam
Weaver
won
reelection
and
will
serve
four
terms
on
Council.
Three
additional
community
members
will
also
join
Council
this
month.
Joe
Crandall
and
mayor
by
Nagel
will
each
serve
a
four-year
term.
The
fifth
councilmember
Cindy
Carlisle
will
serve
a
two-year
term.

that

Cindy
was
on
City
Council
in
the
1980s
to
see
how
the
votes
lined
up
for
all
the
council.
Candidates
are
to
see
the
results
of
other
City
and
County
ballot
initiatives,

The
Boulder,
County
Recycling,
Center,
operated
by
eco
cycle,
has
long
served
the
communities,
recycling
efforts
and
they
say
big,
advocate
for
zero
waste.

Recently,
the
facility
received
upgrades
to
the
way
it
sort
its
material
opening
the
doors
to
new
items
that
can
now
be
recycled
before
the
optical
sorter
machine
plastics.
Of
different
kinds
had
to
be
sorted
out
by
hand
at
the
Boulder
County
recycling
facility,
a
tedious
task
that
often
took
up
to
11
people.

the

you

give
them
a

normal
business
hours

daylight
savings
makes

commutes

partners
will

handing
out
free
bike
lights
at
multiple
locations
around
the
city.
The
next
time
that
of
bike
lights
will
be
on
November
13th
from
4
to
6
p.m.
at
the
goose
creek
path
and
30th
Street.
The
last
one
will
be
at
the
rate
back
collective
from
4
to
6
as
well
on
the
16th.

unable

attend
the
giveaway
event,
you

get
your
hands
on
bike
lights.

Late
last
month,
27
citizenship
candidates
from
12
different
countries
took
an
oath
of
allegiance
and
became
US
citizens.
One
of
those
now
US
citizens
is
a
research
assistant
at
cu-boulder
from
Havana
Cuba.

with

who
spoke
about
his
journey
to
achieve
the
American
Dream
and
what
it
means
to
him.
