when
the
covid-19
pandemic
hit
our
community,
the
city
of
Boulder
paused
its
collection
process
on
unpaid
water
utility
bills.
The
utilities
department
recently
announced
that
it
is
resuming
its
standard
collections
process,
including
shutoffs,
related
to
non-payment
of
water
bills.
The
shift
is
in
line
with
other
Utilities
in
the
region
that
have
resumed
collections
on
their
communities
over
the
past
year,
avoid
fees
and
water
service
disruptions.

at
your
account
in
a
while,
now
is
a
good
time
recognizing
the
hardships
that
covid-19
created
for
many
payment
plans
and
financial
assistance
are
available
for
community
members
who
may
need
help
paying
their
bills
in
partnership
with
the
Boulder
County
Housing
Authority,
the
city
provides
utility
bill
assistance
through
the
emergency
rental
assistance
program.
There
is
also
American
Rescue
plan
act,
known
as
arpa
funds
available
to
residential
utility
customers
with
past
due
balances,
who
have
experienced
a
covenanting
hardship.

cancer
is
the
leading
cause
of
cancer
death
among
men
and
women
in
the
United
States
lung
cancer
counts
for
more
deaths
than
colon
cancer.
Breast
cancer
and
prostate
cancer
combined
Boulder
City
Council
declared
November
2022
as
lung
cancer
awareness
month
during
the
November
3rd
council
meeting
and
emphasized
the
importance
of
getting
screened.
November
is
lung
cancer
awareness
month.
According
to
the
CDC
lung
cancer
is
the
leading
cause
of
cancer
deaths
among
both
men
and
women
in
the
United
States.

Screening
for
lung
cancer
for
high-risk
individuals
using
a
CT
scan
can
lead
to
the
earlier
detection
of
lung
cancer
and
save
lives,
reducing
the
mortality
by
20
percent
when
compared
to
screening
by
chest
x-rays
organizations
such
as
the
American
lung
cancer
screening
initiative
are
committed
to
educating
about
lung
cancer
and
lung
cancer
screenings.

for

Thousands
of
ballots
were
sent
out
last
week
to
registered
voters
in
Colorado.
Voters
have
different
options
on
how
they
can
participate.

their
ballot
in
they
can
drop
off
their
ballot
in
a
24-hour
ballot
Dropbox
or
if
a
voter
wants,
they
can
just
go
in
and
vote
in
person.
If
that
is
their
preference,
all
ballots
must
be
received
by
7
pm
on
Election
Day,
November
8th.
If
you
have
not
registered
to
vote,
there
is
still
time
in
Colorado.
Voters
can
register
to
vote
or
update
their
address
up
to
and
including
election
day.

County
would
like
to
remind
voters
that
elections
in
Colorado
and
Boulder
County
are
secure.

tradition

lighting

star
began
in

and
has
kept
alive

to
the
Armed
Forces
both
past
and
present.
