it's
been
nearly
a
year
since
the
tragic
event
that
occurred
in
the
south
boulder
grocery
store
on
march
22nd.
This
week
the
king
super's
table
mesa
location
unveiled
the
redesigned
grocery
store,
which
reopened
its
doors
to
the
public.
On
february
9th
the
table
mesa
location,
which
has
been
the
cornerstone
of
the
south
boulder
community
for
the
last
49
years,
was
redesigned
with
feedback
from
king
super's
employees
and
community
members.

The
store
now
features
more
natural
light
and
an
open
feel
a
suggestion
made
by
community
members.
A
memorial
garden
will
also
be
added
to
commemorate
the
10
people
who
lost
their
lives
in
the
march
22nd
mass
shooting,
also
included
in
the
store's
redesign,
is
a
large
mural
of
the
flat
irons
painted
by
a
local
artist.
Other
updates
include
a
large
floral
department,
an
expanded
produce
section
and
an
updated
starbucks
kiosk
wednesday's
reopening
ceremony
included
a
performance
by
cu's,
marching
band
and
remarks
from
governor
jared,
polis
and
boulder
mayor
erin,
brockett.

may
of
2021
boulder
city
council
made
a
unanimous
vote
in
favor
of
beginning
the
work
for
forming
a
library
district
to
stabilize
its
decreasing
budget.
A
library
district
advisory
committee
has
since
been
formed
and
they've
put
together
recommendations
in
forming
a
library
district.
These
recommendations
were
presented
during
the
february
8th
council
meeting
demand
for
library.
Services
has
never
been
greater.
In
2019,
the
library
saw
over
1
million
visitors
between
all
locations.

transfer

the
buildings

the
other
assets,

governance,
how

library
district
would
be
governed
by
a
board
of
trustees
and
how
they'll
be
appointed
incorporation
into
the
boulder
valley,
comp
plan
and
community
engagement
around
this
topic.

team

colder
snow
doesn't
stop
bouldering
from
commuting
on
their
bikes
around
their
own
two
feet
see
how
boulder
celebrated
this
year's
bike
to
work
day.
Winter
bike
to
work
day
is
part
of
a
statewide
celebration
and
includes
16
free
breakfast
stations
hosted
by
local
companies
and
organizations
in
boulder
and
longmont
participants
are
encouraged
to
pledge
to
ride
which
helps
the
city
and
county
measure
the
impact
of
biking
in
the
boulder
area.

supports
both
the
city
of
boulder's
transportation,
master
plan
goals
and
the
counties
as
well.
