Lions
are
no
stranger
to
Boulder
and
its
surroundings.
That's
why
the
city
of
Boulder
was
a
big
point
of
focus
for
a
recent
study
conducted
on
these
mammals
for
the
past
10
years,
Matt
Aldrich,
a
Colorado,
Parks
and
Wildlife
researcher,
conducted
a
study
investigating
mountain
lions
along
the
Front
Range.

F
City
boulders
urban
wildlife
management
plan
has
an
objective,
which
is
to
increase
public
awareness
on
how
to
minimize
conflicts
with
mountain
lions
and
I
would
say
well
one
of
the
primary
conflicts
with
mountain
lions
and
boulders.
Is
they
eat
pets,
pets
or
prey?
You
know
their
primary
food
source
is
deer,
but
they
eat
old
whole
suite
of
small
mammals
into
a
mountain
lion,
a
little
dog
or
a
cat
is
prey
just
like
everything
else.
So
what
we're
the
best
way
to
minimize
conflicts
is
to
understand
mountain
lions.
Understand
why
they're
here?
What
are
they
doing?
