start
this
week
with
your
2018
election
wrap
up.
There
were
two
ballot
issues
for
the
city
of
Boulder
and
five
ballot
questions.
So
here's
your
results.

This
week,
Colorado
made
history
by
electing
the
nation's
first
openly
gay,
governor
and
Boulder
native
jared
Polis
ballot
measure
to
see
which
would
place
a
new
tax
on
oil
and
gas
developers
past
on
Tuesday,
with
76%
of
Bullard
voters
in
favor
of
the
measure.
This
tax
would
cover
the
cost
of
environmental
and
health
impacts
resulting
from
oil
and
gas
development.
Also,
on
the
ballot
this
year
was
the
sugar
swing
beverage
tax
ballot
measure
2d
will
allow
Boulder
to
distribute
the
tax
money
generated
from
the
sugary
drinks
to
health
equity
efforts.

measure
was
approved
by
64
percent
of
voters.
If

is
hosting
an
ecosystem
summit
to
focus
on
climate
change,
solutions.

Riding
at
night
in
the
city
of
Boulder,
without
a
light
could
receive
a
fine
up
to
$50
city
staff
and
partners
will
be
handing
out
free
bike
lights
at
multiple
paths
along
the
city.
The
next
handout
will
be
on
Tuesday
November
13th
at
the
goose
creek
path
and
on
Wednesday
November
14th
on
Broadway
and
Euclid,
from
4
to
6
p.m.
on
both
days,
lighten.

giveaway
events,

bike
lights
by
stopping
by
the
globe

offices
or
come
in
recycles
more

the
light,
and
the
boulder
campaign
can
be
