A
B
Transportation
system
in
Boulder
has
really
come
from
this
Community.
The
ideas
that
we've
had
around
the
hop
service,
the
Skip
service,
the
the
eco
pass
program,
the
neighborhood
past
program,
what
the
bicycle
system
works
like
and
acts
like
a
lot
of
those
ideas
and
a
lot
of
the
inspiration
for
those
projects
and
programs
and
services
have
really
come
from
the
boulder
community.
So
we
really
value
the
community
helping
us
as
we
continue
to
refine
our
transportation
options.
A
primary
focus
for
this
transportation,
Master
Plan
Update,
is
to
look
at
our
Complete
Streets
system.
B
Can
you
take
the
regional
bus,
the
local
bus?
Can
you
ride
your
bicycle?
Comfortably
walk
comfortably
drive,
you
know.
Is
it
an
efficient,
complete
set
of
travel
choices
for
the
community
and
we're
looking
again
it?
Well?
How
do
we
provide
those
Complete
Streets
in
a
way
that
works
for
Boulder?
There.
A
C
Are
here
at
ww,
boulder,
transit
design
com,
where
we
have
built
a
designer
transit
system
tool
where
people
can
work
to
prioritize
where
they
would
like
the
city
and
rtd
to
invest
our
resources
now
and
in
the
future?
So
when
you
go
to
the
website,
there
are
several
categories
that
you
can
click
on
to
spend
your
budget
once
folks
have
seen
and
gotten
familiar
with
the
different
categories,
you
can
actually
get
some
detailed
information
on
what
are
some
impacts
that
you
can
make
in
those
categories.
C
You
click
on
what
you
would
prioritize
and,
as
you
click
each
category,
you'll
see
at
the
right
side
of
the
your
screen
a
build
up
of
your
overall
benefits
of
the
transit
system
that
you've
built
and
once
you
get
to
$25,
it
will
tell
you
that
if
you're
going
over
you've
broken
your
budget,
your
budgets
been
exhausted.
So
you
have
to
go
back
and
try
to
get
to
the
exact
$25.
C
So
it's
really
a
fun
way
to
take
a
look
at
seeing
how
you
would
mix
and
match
expensive
priorities
and
ones
that
are
maybe
not
as
impactful
but
they're
a
lot
cheaper
to
implement.
So
it's
really
an
interesting
way
to
see
how
we
as
transportation
planners
kind
of
go
about
prioritizing
the
things
that
we
can
accomplish
within
an
existing
budget.
This.
A
C
Have
a
lot
of
online
activities,
we're
really
doing
more
and
more
online
community
input,
because
we
want
to
provide
opportunities
for
people
to
be
involved
anytime
of
the
day.
So
this
the
information
that
we
are
pulling
from
this
tool
will
be
combined
with
all
of
our
community
outreach
to
really
help
create
a
long-term
vision
for
transit
in
Boulder
to
help
us
reach
our
sustainability
goals,
our
climate
commitment
goals
and
overall
transportation
goals
to
change
the
way
that
people
are
getting
around
in
Boulder
from
now
and
in
the
future.
Great.
A
Well,
this
is
an
excellent
way
to
get
started
on
that.
Thanks
for
showing
us
the
design,
your
transit
system
tool
will
be
online
through
June.
The
city
will
then
analyze
the
results
in
July
and
present.
The
overall
TMP
update
to
council
in
late
2013
there's
something
different
about
the
crosswalk
at
49th
and
pearl.
A
familiar
voice
is
helping
the
visually
impaired
safely
cross
the
street.
A
D
Have
offices
on
the
south
side
of
40
parkway
here
and
they
work
with
clientele
to
train
them
to
return
to
the
work
place
after
various
injuries
and
other
impairments,
including
some
of
their
clientele
with
visible
disabilities
and
so
forth.
Often
they
ride
the
bus
to
get
here
and
so
as
part
of
journey
they're
going
to
need
to
use
this
traffic
signal
that.
D
We
thought
wouldn't
be
fun
to
get
some
sort
of
celebrity
holder
voice
to
to
provide
those
messages.
So
I
thought
about
that.
For
a
few
seconds
and
the
name
of
Bret
Saunders,
the
eminent
kvco
DJ
came
to
mind
and
so
I
contacted
mr.
Saunders
and
he
very
graciously
offered
to
assist
with
this
effort.
It.
E
A
E
Fact,
I
don't
know
if
I'm
the
official
voice
of
Boulder
I'm
not
really
a
store
at
80
sounding
so
I,
don't
think
it
was
really
like:
oh
no
official
voice,
but
it,
but
it's
thrilling.
It's
exciting
and
it's
kind
of
nice
to
be
I've
memorializes
at
the
right
work,
because
that
would
suggest
that
I'm
dead.
But
it's
it's
nice
to
be
sort
of
pseudo
immortalized.
In
that
way,
right.
E
A
Crosswalk
costs
about
a
thousand
dollars
to
retrofit
with
the
audible
message,
so
adding
the
system
to
an
entire
intersection
would
cost
four
thousand
dollars.
The
city
will
evaluate
the
new
signals
to
make
sure
they're
working
as
intended
before
adding
more
locations
around
Boulder
time
is
running
out
to
save
money
on
your
energy
bill.
For
a
few
more
days,
Boulder
County
residents
can
schedule
a
deeply
discounted
home
energy
assessment
through
the
energy
smart
program
after
May
fifteenth,
the
assessment
will
jump
from
ninety
dollars
to
135.
A
The
cost
pays
for
a
technical
expert
to
evaluate
your
home
and
pinpoint
energy
wastes
and
leaks.
You
also
get
time
with
an
energy
advisor
who
helps
guide
the
often
confusing
steps
of
home
efficiency
projects
visit
energy,
smart,
yes,
calm
for
more
information.
This
morning,
boulders
finest
ran
and

to

this.
F
Is
our
annual
Boulder
Police
Department's
torch
run
for
Special
Olympics?
We
have
over
13,000
Special
Olympic
athletes
in
the
state
of
Colorado
alone,
so
it's
our
privilege
and
honor
to
represent
the
law
enforcement
community
in
this
area
to
celebrate
the
abilities
and
courage
of
our
Special
Olympic
athletes.
As
you
can
see
to
my
left
and
right
and
behind
me
are
several
of
the
local
Special
Olympic
athletes
from
our
region.
