A
A
Welcome
to
inside
Boulder
news,
I'm,
Ashley,
pearl,
increasing
awareness
about
and
consumption
of,
locally
produced
foods
is
the
goal
of
a
new
website
launched
this
week.
The
shed
Boulder
County
isn't
just
a
website
about
food.
It's
also
a
unique
collaboration
between
nine
public
and
private
entities.
We.
C
Farmer
in
Boulder
County,
it's
really
important
to
see
this.
This
group
come
together
and
kind
of
bring
in
there's
all
these
great
things
happening
with
local
food
all
over
the
county,
and
this
group
kind
of
is
able
to
bring
everybody
together
at
the
same
table
and
get
this
website
launched.
That
kind
of
highlights
all
the
great
stuff
us
went
on
in
boulder
county
in
this
kind
of
a
hub
where
we
can
all
come
and
get
information
share
ideas.
The
website
is.
D
Designed
to
do
a
few
things,
certainly
it's
meant
to
educate
people.
We
want
to
make
sure
that
folks
know
about
where
they
get
their
food
and
we
were
there
to
give
them
information
about
that.
It's
a
place
to
to
bring
together
all
the
different
pieces
of
what's
going
on
in
local
food,
we
have
a
lot
of
exciting
things
that
are
going
on,
but
sometimes
one
hand
doesn't
know
what
the
other
is
doing.
A
A
E
Latino
chamber
is
very
important
because
we
are
the
liaisons
to
the
Latino
community,
so
we
represent
a
buying
power
that
is
usually
not
being
tapped
by
the
general
population
and
we
are
the
bridge
to
the
population.
So
we
have
a
lot
to
offer.
We
continue
to
grow.
So
what
we
want
the
general
community
to
know
is
that
we
continue
to
grow
and
we
need
to
be
taken
seriously
and
now
that
we
have
a
space,
we
have
so
much
more
to
offer
classes
workshops
meetings.

Now,
like
farmers,
market,
different
kinds
of
festivals,
and
in
fact
this
weekend
we
have
the
boulder
creek
fest,
which
is
a
great
opportunity
to
come
down
to
the
Civic
area
and
really
see
the
activity
and
the
types
of
events
that
happen
now
and
how
that
will
be
enhanced
through
the
improvements
through
this
to
a
ballot
item.
So
if
you're
here
and
you're
in
the
Civic
area,
please
feel
free
to
look
around
and
see
some
of
the
ways
that
the
creek
flows
to
the
side
and
the
creek
path
can
also
visit
our
website.

Day
offers
lots
of
reasons
to
come
to
the
Civic
area,
including
the
ever
popular
annual
duck
race.
Thousands
of
rubber
ducks
will
race
down
Boulder
Creek
to
benefit
the
expand
program
which
stands
for
exciting
programs,
adventures
and
new
dimensions.
The
program
serves
hundreds
of
children,
youth
and
adults
with
disabilities
and
provides
them
opportunities
and
community
recreation.
The
race
will
take
place
at
4pm
on
May

the

spent
their

I
think
it's
an
important
way
for
us
to
get
out
there
the
things
that
the
services
of
the
fire
department
provides
for
the
community.
It's
also
an
important
way
for
us
to
interact
with
the
community
in
a
completely
non
emergency
fashion.
Allow
them
to
see
who
their
firefighters
are.
It
allows
us
also
to
share
with
them
some
practical
skills
that
they
can
use
in
the
event
of
an
emergency,
or
even
before,
preparing
for
emergencies
in
their
own
homes.
