An
auspicious
occasion
it
is
I,
don't
know
about
the
rest
of
you
but
I.
Imagine
like
me.
It
has
been
a
lifelong
dream
to
meet
his
holiness
and
to
hear
him
speak
in
person,
and
here
he
is
this
morning.
Blessing
us
with
his
presence
in
Boulder
and
I
would
be
remiss
in
not
bringing
some
gifts
from
Boulder
to
the
Dalai
Lama.
Your
holiness,
we
are
a
bike.
Loving
community
yesterday
was
bike
to
work
day,
so
we
want
to
make
sure
he's
well
protected.

improvements
are
on
the
horizon
for
one
of

most

locations,
plans

the
Chautauqua,
pedestrian

lighting
improvements
project
will
be
shared
with
the
public
at
an
open
house
on
June,
twenty
eighth.
The
event
will
showcase
how
feedback
from
the
community
has
helped
to
refine
project
details
and
will
give
the
public
a
sneak
peek
at
the
improvements
that
will
be
constructed
later
this
year.
The.

Intent
of
this
is
really
to
show
that
it's
been
a
very
collaborative
process
between
the
city
and
the
public
as
far
as
soliciting
feedback
and
using
that
feedback
to
really
help
guide
us
into
developing
what
this
project
really
needs
to
look
like
this
project
was
really
designed
to
improve
the
user
experience
for
the
park
in
the
open
space
access
is
is
very
difficult
for
anybody.
That's

other
areas.

will
take

from

to

in

project
will
begin
this
fall
and
is
expected
to
be
complete
by
spring
of
2017.
The
boulder
police
department
has
teamed
up
with
the
city's
Parks
and
Recreation
Department
to
develop
an
exciting
new
program
called
boulder
stars.
We.
E
Partnered
with
the
recreation
center
to
look
for
a
way
that
we
can
connect
with
our
youth
in
a
positive
way,
so
officers
are
now
looking
for
children
between
the
ages
of
3
and
18,
and
we're
looking
for
kids
that
are
just
doing
the
right
thing.
Wearing
a
bike
helmet
following
crosswalk
rules,
just
being
an
overall
good
citizen
and
we've
already
found
that
Boulder
is
full
of
them.
When
we
find
these
children,
we
give
them
a
citation.
E
The
citation
is
a
star
because
we
feel
like
they
are
shooting
stars,
and
this
voucher
entitles
them
to
one
free
visit
to
any
of
the
city's
recreation
centers.
So
they
can
go
swimming,
they
can
go
to
the
reservoir.
They
can
play
basketball.
It's
just
a
great
way
to
acknowledge
the
great
kids
that
we
have
in
Boulder
follow.

This
is
our
16th
year
of
being
a
part
of
the
fireworks
and
and
working
together
with
the
city
of
Boulder,
and
the
University
just
makes
it
a
special
event.
There's
so
many
events
during
the
fourth
of
July
here
in
Boulder,
and
so
many
fun
things
to
do,
but
it
kind
of
all
culminates
with
the
fireworks
and
being
up
in
the
stadium
and
the
mighty
twisters
and
the
sing-along
event
that
they
have
and
then
and
then
all
the
fireworks.
At
the
end
of
the
day,
it's
just
a
great
way
to
celebrate
the
fourth
of
July
gates.
A
For
the
fireworks
show
will
open
at
8pm
an
admission
is
free.
Fireworks
will
begin
as
soon
as
it's
dark,
which
is
approximately
940
p.m.
free,
hop
and
buff.
Bus
services
will
be
provided
from
downtown
city
parking
garages
and
the
29th

Mall
to
folsom
field
and
back,
although
there
are
events
throughout
the
month
of
June
to
celebrate,
walk
and
bike
month
in
Boulder
bike
to
work
day
is
the
one
that
steals
the
show.
This
week
more
than
60
breakfast
stations
across
the
city
brought
thousands
of
participants
together
for
food
drinks
and
plenty
of
smiles.

If
you
missed
it,
there's
still

of
