Inside Boulder - Eldora Ski Resort
A
A
B
It's
boulders
backyard
ski
area.
Everyone
knows
that
we're
just
21
miles
west
of
boulder
canyon
and
our
ski
season
is
mid-november
really
through
mid-april.
When
we
go
strong
from
beginning
to
end
this
past
weekend,
beginning
of
January,
we
had
a
fantastic
weekend,
so
snow
conditions
are
fabulous
right
now
and
lots
of
people
are
coming
well.
C
B
Know
it's
everybody.
You
know
it's
the
Telemark
skier
that
comes
from
Boulder,
the
cross-country
skier,
the
snowshoe
er,
its
people,
kids,
families,
it's
it's
just
about
everything,
but
I
would
say
that
really
our
strong
point
in
this
market
is
the
family
yeah.
We
get
kids
up
there,
we
get
moms
and
dads,
and
it
really
is
a
wonderful
place
for
people
to
put
their
kids
into
to
ski
programs
and
learn
to
ski
programs.
Learn
to
snowboard
programs,
learn.
C
B
B
Ninety
percent
come
from
the
local
area,
ten
percent
our
destination,
skiers
that
come
from
Nebraska
and
Kansas
and
Texas.
Primarily
they
drive
here.
They
load
up
the
suburban,
they
pack
up
the
family
and
they
they
come
to
eldora
for
34
days
and
stay.
We
also
get
the
business
traveler.
Somebody
that's
staying
here,
maybe
came
in
for
some
business
and
it's
going
to
stay
over
another
night
and
they
decide
to
add
in
a
day
of
skiing
as
well
excellent.
A
B
There's
a
variety
of
lodging
opportunities
here
in
Boulder,
we've
got
the
the
high-end
hotels
and
we
have
the
more
modest
priced
hotels
and
we're
very
affordable
for
families.
So
there's
with
that
range,
it
gives
us
a
people
really
great
choices,
just
to
stay
so
families
again
come
in
with
their
Suburbans
packing
they'll
they'll
fill
up
a
hotel
room
and
they'll
stay
for
a
couple.
Three
four
days:
Rob.
C
B
Know,
Boulder
really
is
our
heart
and
soul.
That's
that's
our
number
one
customer
and
having
an
office
in
Boulder
it.
It's
really
hard
to
say
what
the
economic
impact
is
necessarily
of
that
office,
but
it
sure
is
a
convenience
for
the
boulder
families
to
come
in
and
get
their
season
passes,
sign
up
for
programs
by
lift
tickets
and
whatever
it
is.
We
want
a
store
right
in
the
heart
of
our
market
and
and
that
store
really
provides
that
you
know
the
the
economic
impact
you
know
it's
hard
to
put
it
into
dollars
and
cents.
B
You
know.
Certainly
we
bring
in
millions
of
dollars
in
the
winter
time
into
the
this
community.
When
you
know
the
lodges
aren't
really
full
there
when
a
hundred
percent
occupancy,
maybe
in
the
winter
time,
but
in
the
the
excuse
me
in
the
summertime,
but
in
the
wintertime
it's
much
less
than
than
that,
and
we
helped
fill
some
of
those
rooms
and
certainly
they
come
in
and
they'll
spend
money
in
the
restaurants
and
they'll
spend
money
in
the
ski
shops.
But
I
think
the
real
you
know
advantage
to
have
an
experienced
a
half
an
hour.
B
Is
that
quality
of
life
for
people
that
live
here
in
Boulder?
You
know,
kids
are
going
to
grow
up
here
and
they're
going
to
learn
to
ski
they're
going
to
participate
in
some
of
our
programs.
They
can
take
the
rtd
bus
up.
Have
you
ever
been
to
the
rtd
bus
station
on
a
Saturday
morning
and
seeing
all
the
people
being
dropped
off
to
to
make
their
way
up?
Boulder
Canyon
to
go
skiing,
so
I
think
it
really
becomes
a
quality
of
life
issue,
quality
of
life
for
people
in
the
wintertime
they
live
here
in
Boulder.
