By
our
policy,
officers
have
to
qualify
quarterly
four
times
per
year,
with
the
handgun
out
of
those
four
quarterly
qualifications.
They
need
to
qualify
for
the
shotgun
twice.
Those
qualifications
are
a
fitness
for
duty
requirement,
so
the
officers
must
qualify
at
those
scheduled
qualifications
and.
A
A
B
Yeah,
there's
there's
two
major
divisions:
one
is
the
the
design
of
the
building
for
the
neighborhood
that
we're
in
and
the
environment
and
then
the
protections
that
we
built-in
for
the
employees,
the
first
one
about
the
design
of
the
building.
This
range
is
underground.
So
it
captures
the
sound
there's
products
and
in
the
range,
the
walls
and
the
ceilings
that
also
captures
the
sound.
B
The
other
protections
are
for
the
officers
that
come
in
in
here.
Whenever
possible,
we
use
a
reduced,
lead
or
a
lead-free
ammunition,
so
that
reduces
the
exposure
to
the
employee
and
to
the
instructor
we're
able
to
capture
the
bullet
in
the
bullet
trap
and
back
and
we're
able
to
recycle
those
products.
I
might
add
for
the
instructors.
We
also
go
through
a
hearing,
testing,
they're
tested
annually
for
hearing
and
their
blood
is
tested
for
a
lead
level
test.

We
do
in
the
city
of
Boulder,
we
work
with
open
space,
Rangers
the
environmental
group
and
the
da
investigator
group
out
of
the
Justice
Center,
and
then
we
also
have
a
special
relationship
with
Broomfield
Police
Department,
where
we
share
range
time.
They
come
in
to
our
range
at
least
once
per
year
and
use
it
for
low-light
shooting
and
in
turn
they
let
us
use
their
outdoor
range
for
rifle
training
and
SWAT
training.
That's.
