D
C
All
right,
it
looks
like
we're
waiting
on
councilmember
Waring,
who
is
dialing
in
as
we
speak,
just.
B
C
Sounds
like
we
got
everybody
and
so
I'll
go
ahead
and
call
today's
City
of
Charleston
real
estate
committee
meeting
to
order
it's
3,
30
May,
8th
2023
and
let's
get
things
started
off
today
with
an
invocation
from
none
other
than
council
member
shade.
A
Thank
you,
Mr
chairman,
and
so
over
the
weekend
we
like
again
were
privy
to
news
more
mass
shootings
and
doesn't
make
a
mass
shooting,
but
an
individual
who
decided
to
apparently
drive
his
vehicle
into
a
refuge
of
folks,
seeking
with
seeking
Refuge
into
our
country
and
I
believe
we're
at
200
and
something
mass
shootings
in
America
and
2023.
A
A
With
these
events,
I
hope
our
country
comes
together
at
some
point
to
address
real
solutions
to
gun,
violence
and
hatred.
That
seems
to
be
divided
into
our
great
land.
We
ask
God's
intervention,
we
ask
for
peace
and
we
pray
for
those
survivors
that
they
will
have
at
some
reconciliation
in
some
some
peace
throughout
this
this
whole
entire
process
amen.
B
C
Thank
you,
councilman
Shane.
That
was
very,
very
good.
First
item
up
on
the
agendas
approval
of
the
April
24th
2023
minutes
can
I
get
a
motion.
Second,
all
right
moved
and
properly
seconded
any
discussion
hearing.
None
all
in
favor,
please
signify
by
saying
aye
aye.
A
C
Opposed
the
eyes
have
it
first
item
up
on
the
agenda.
Is
an
authorization
for
the
mayor
to
accept,
on
behalf
of
the
city,
an
exclusive
and
permanent
sidewalk
easement.
This
is
over
in
my
district
over
by
Country
Club
and
Folly
Road.
B
E
Can
you
see?
Yes,
you
can
see
the
The
Quiet
on
the
screen
yep
okay,
good
afternoon,
everyone
so
as
the
Charleston
County,
Parks
and
Recreation
Commission
will
be
installing
sidewalks
here
along
a
portion
of
Country,
Club
Road
attached
to
a
cloud
Plantation
and
then
down
here
along
folly
and
as
part
of
this
process
tell
O'brien
has
already
signed
a
maintenance
agreement
letter.
The
city
would
agree
to
maintain
this
sidewalk
once
the
county
builds
it,
and
so
the
county
is
asking
that
we
accept
a
permanent
easement
for
that
purpose.
C
B
Well,
I
was
just
going
to
comment
how
nice
this
will
be
it's
across
the
front
of
the
county
park,
property
that
big
open
field
and
then
and
there's
a
if
you
look
at
the
map
when
you
cross
that
next
street
to
the
South.
B
That's
where
they're
building
a
new
refuel
station
and
it's
it's
got
some
nice
sized
magnolia
trees.
Anyway,
it
looks
like
it
would
be:
a
a
wonderful
pedestrian,
walkway
there
and
yeah
all
along
in
front
of
those
trees
down
there
and
there's
no
sidewalk.
So
this
will
really
create
some
connectivity
and
I
think
councilman
Propel,
you
you
push
to
add
a
sidewalk
across
the
street,
that's
an
on
another
matter
or
project
or
part
of
the
refuel
one.
So
I
I
was
just
going
to
comment.
This
is
all
good.
C
Absolutely
thank
you.
Mr
Mayor
and
I
see
councilman
Waring
had
a
question
but
I.
D
C
Wonderful
and
councilman
Shades
got
his
hand
up.
A
I
would
just
be
remiss
in
councilman
we're
wearing
his
time
to
be
complaining
about
sidewalks
and
maintenance,
but
you
know
we
get.
We
get
tabbed
with
the
maintenance
on
these
things
and
the
another
government
agency
pawns
us
on
us
and
all
those
comments
are
right
on
it's
a
good
idea.
I
get
all
of
that,
but
I
just
didn't
want
to
y'all
to
think
that
my
silence
is
I'm
weary
from
my
prior
positions
on
these
maintenance.
C
C
Absolutely
any
other
questions
or
comments.
I
I
agree
with
the
mayor.
I
think
this
is
wonderful
and
we've
got
a
whole
lot
of
improvements
coming
to
this
part
of
James
Island
right
there,
where
May
bank
and
Folly
Road
all
kind
of
come
together,
and
it's
a
very,
very
exciting
time
over
in
that
part
of
James
Island.
C
C
Motion
moved
and
properly
seconded
all
in
favor,
please
signify
by
saying
aye
aye
any
opposed
hearing,
none
the
eyes
have
it.
Thank
you.
Miss
Copeland,
next
item
on
the
agenda
is
an
authorization
for
the
mayor
to
execute
a
permanent
utility
easement,
and
this
is
in
favor
of
CPW,
and
it's
for
a
portion
of
the
right-of-way
for
think
you
pronounce
it
Doty
Street
yeah.
D
C
E
Just
just
real
quick,
this
is
actually
just
a
paper
in
the
existing
uses
that
are
the
existing
utilities
that
are
already
in
the
ground.
As
you
can
see
here,
we've
got
water
and
sewer
that
run
from
Courtney
drive
all
the
way
down.
Center
of
Dowdy.
C
Good
deal
good
deal
and
is
this
incident
to
any
kind
of
Redevelopment
or
any
kind
of
project
or.
B
So
I
miss
that
Julia
is
this
like
an
after.
After
the
fact,
the
lines
have
been
there
for
a
long
time.
They
just
never
had
the
easement.
Yes,.
C
All
right
any
further
questions,
discussion,
I
I,
don't
know
if
we
have
a
motion
in
a
second.
Yet
on
this
one
yeah.
C
C
I
just
got
to
pull
this
up.
I
just
got
to
take
it.
Take
it
head
on,
do
who
do
we
have
from
staff
to
give
a
few
remarks
about
this?
One.
E
C
Good
deal
well
we're
not
going
to
stand
away
in
the
way
of
culture
at
the
real
estate
committee,
so
I
think
we
have
a
motion
on
the
floor
moved
and
properly
seconded
any
further
discussion
hearing,
none
all
in
favor,
please
signify
by
saying
aye
aye
any
opposed
hearing.
None
the
eyes
have
it.
That
concludes
the
non-annexation
portion
of
our
proceeding.
We
have
six
annexations
up
today.
D
Approval
second,
the
death
of
all
items:
councilman.
A
C
F
Yeah
sure
so
all
of
these
are
residential
except
item
number
two
is
1080
beats
Ferry
Road.
This
is
about
a
hundred
foot
strip
of
land,
one
acre
to
open
up
areas
across
the
minor
Street
Bear
Swamp
Road,
without
impacting
land
owner
CWS
of
that
parcel
and
their
current
operations
on
that
parcel.
But
the
rest
of
these
are
single
family
residences
in
West,
Ashley,
Orange,
Grove,
Estates
and
Silk
Hope
neighborhoods,
but
happy
to
answer
any
additional
questions.
C
D
C
E
C
Absolutely
any
further
discussion
questions
before
we
vote
on
all
six
of
these
annexations.
C
All
right
hearing,
none
all
in
favor,
please
signify
by
saying
aye,
aye
aye
aye
all
opposed
hearing.
None
the
eyes
have
it
that
does
it
16
minutes,
councilman
shaven.
A
So
Molly,
if
I
could
Mr
table
I
could
ask
Molly
to
look
into
that
piece
of
property.
I
think
the
mayor
had
mentioned
before
that.
There's
a
abandoned
house
that
is
right
across
the
street
from
the
parking
lot
of
the
Carl
Richardson
Park
and.
A
What
I
know
there's
been
some
push
before
on
that
councilman
I
know
you
you're
familiar
with
that
that
land
there's
such
an
eyesore
to
that
beautiful
Park
that
we've
just
opened
up.
If
there's
anything
else,
we
can
do
to
maybe
give
a
little
bit
of
a
push
or
incentive
or
something
to
look
into
that
and
accident,
or
even
even
purchasing
that
property.
I
I,
don't
know
it's
just
just
sort
of
sticks
out
like
a
big
sore
thumb
with
that
beautiful
part.
A
B
So,
council,
member
and
committee
and
Molly,
the
the
property
in
question,
is
in
the
county
from
what
I
understand,
because
I
first
called
Dan
riccio
about
it
to
to
clean
it
up,
maybe
I
shouldn't
say
online,
but
his
his
staff
painted
some
attention
with
the
owner's
permission,
regardless
they're
they're
out
of
state
owners,
and
we
have
given
the
name
to
staff
to
at
least
ask
inquire
about
their
selling
the
property
to
the
city.
So
so
we
are
in
fact
asking
we're
pursuing
that
good.
D
I
want
to
thank
the
mayor
for
that
I've
actually
been
by
councilman
shade
and
to
me
it's
actually
been
voted
up
because
it
was
just
kind
of
wide
open.
D
You
know
that's
why
so
it's
at
least
been
folded
up
for
little
kids
not
to
go
in
then
you
know
possibly
get
hurt
or
something
like
that,
but
I,
that's
no
Mission
man,
I
I
wish
we
had
just
gone
ahead
when
we
did
vote
years
ago
to
invoke
eminent
domain
on
that
and
taking
that
property
as
well,
but
hopefully
they'll
be
willing
to
sell.
A
F
It's
certainly
on
our
radar,
so
thanks
for
the
reminder
and
we'll
keep
looking
into
it,.
C
Absolutely
absolutely
well
good
deal
any
other
comments
for
good
of
the
order.
D
Did
anybody
go
to
the
ribbon
I
guess
a
groundbreaking
for
oh
man,
the
park
off
Old
Town
Road
that
the
county
is
doing
yeah.
B
A
Was
present,
it
was
a.
It
was.
E
F
C
Yes,
absolutely
absolutely
and
Charlestown
Landing
is
a
great
place.
B
C
C
D
C
Good,
it's
very,
very
modern,
that's
great!
They.
D
Got
a
black,
so
I
I
did
go
to.
You
know
how
people
call
it
Sunrise
Park,
but
you
know
Peter
Dimitri
Park,
oh
yeah,
on
yesterday,
and
there
were
some
display
bullets
or
storyboards,
where
you
could
look
across
from
James
Island
to
the
peninsula,
that
you
know
depicted
certain
historical
buildings
and
all
of
those
things
are
gone.
Who
did
a
storm
or
something
knock
it
down
up?
Anybody
know
what
happened
to
him.
Are
they
going
to
be
replaced?
It's.
D
You
know
when
you
go
to
when
you
go
towards
the
The
Dock
of
the
pier
at
Sunrise
park.
There
were
some
storyboards
that
you
could
see
that
could
you
know,
would
point
in
whatever
Direction
the
cathedral
was
in
and.
B
B
Yeah
yeah,
so
we've
I'm,
pretty
sure
Jason
has
already
ordered
the
new
ones,
and
maybe
they
took
the
old
ones
on
out
of
the
way
they
had
become
very
weathered
and
a
little
hard
to
read.
C
All
right
good
deal.
Well,
we
covered
some
good
ground
today
and
I'll
see
some
of
y'all
at
Public,
Works
and
I'll
see
the
rest
of
y'all
tomorrow
at
80,
broad
great.
