Description
City of Charleston Committee on Ways and Means 12/21/2021
A
A
A
We
pray
for
our
police
chief
as
he
undergoes
trying
times
right
now.
Let
him
know
many
people
are
praying
for
him.
We
thank
you
for
happy
deliveries
in
our
community,
like
councilmember
ross
and
his
wife,
and
driver
and
family
keep
our
staff
in
your
embrace
and
let
them
know
that
we
appreciate
them
david.
We
just
don't
say
that
without
them
we
couldn't
run
this
city.
These
prayers.
We
bring
forth
in
your
name,
let
us
all
say,
amen.
B
B
Thank
you
now
we'll
move
on
to
the
minutes
for
december
7
2021.
So
I
moved
and
properly
seconded
any
discussion.
All
in
favor
say
aye,
probably
going
to
be
one
of
the
shortest
meetings
we've
had
in
the
wild.
I
know
because
right,
12
minutes,
item
number.
Three
planning
preservation
is
sustainability,
moved
improperly.
Second,
any
discussion
all
in
favor
say
I
I
have
it
item
four
moved
and
properly
seconded
any
discussion.
D
We
took
up
several
items:
items
a
and
b
are
related
in
regards
to
a
mo
memorandum
of
agreement
for
the
city
in
morrison
yard,
dealing
with
the
presentation
of
a
construction
of
a
sidewalk
on
the
east
bay
street.
I
saw
it
morrison
drive
side
where
this
project
is
being
completed
and
it
included
also
a
permanent
easement
for
the
construction
of
that
sidewalk.
D
That
was
approved
unanimously
in
isolde
for
items
a
and
b.
Second
item
c
was
a
request
for
the
mayor
to
execute
the
revised
contract
today
between
the
commissioners
of
public
works
and
the
city
for
the
purchase
of
2.5
million
dollars
for
the
property
located
at
56
murray
boulevard.
I
think
we've
already
taken
up
this,
and
this
was
a
an
adjustment
with
that
contract.
D
Julia
is
available
to
answer
your
questions
for
us.
That
also
was
approved
unanimously
as
well,
and
I
still
moved.
D
Item
d
was
an
item
that
was
on
our
previous
agenda
and
we
brought
it
back
for
consideration.
This
involves
the
agreement
for
the
dedication
of
50
click
right
away
for
property
owned
by
mr
millings.
It
was
a
sidewalk.
D
D
We
had
an
annexation
to
increase
council
member
appel's
district
by
another
constituent.
This
is
property
as
a
lot
located
at
2221.
He
thinks
he
can
do
that
by
having
children,
and
this
is
another
way.
E
D
The
item
on
executive
session,
we
defer
that
for
discussion
by
full
council,
but
in
a
a
lot
of
part
of
this
city
council.
That
would
be
my
report,
mr
chairman,.
E
Just
given
that
we
rolled
right
through
that
agenda,
I
I
just
wanted
to
shout
out
to
a
couple
of
folks.
E
One
would
be
the
rotary
club
of
charleston,
because
this
30
thousand
dollar
grant
is
addition
to
the
50
000
that
we
got
from
them
last
year
and
it's
all
for
increased
training
for
our
police
department
and
that's
a
terrific
commitment
of
the
rotary
club
of
charleston.
So
we
want
to
thank
them
wholeheartedly
and
particularly
since
they're
in
the
room.
I
want
to
thank
don
cameron
and
art
milligan
and
the
leadership
also
of
we'll
talk
about
them
in
a
little
bit
of
what
the
charleston
housing
authority.
It's.
