What do I tell my family to do and what do I do they asked me what I do I? Keep it simple, I just say what I do is just mapping.

So my name is Leonard Huggins I'm, a GIS coordinator for INT Innovation and data and focusing on Solid Waste. Services really means geographic information systems. It's really a mapping type of technology, for example, collecting garbage.

We need to know where trucks are going and so GIS helps to do that process in the city, there's over 231 000 residential units or addresses that's been serviced so on a given day, you're looking at probably 45 000 residences, that's being collected on a given day and it could have like I, say: multiple services.

From the solid race side, every single driver has knowledge about the route. That's unique, and so I gather information from the driver about their route. That would make it more efficient and so I build that into the route. And when you look at it, it takes first of all attention to detail as a skill, because you have to look at the minute things that you can't ignore.

You also need some technology skills and some analytical skills for this job, because balancing routes you have 60 tracks that you are sending out there every day to pick up, 45 000 stops what would happen if we didn't have the technology that we have today, um somebody may get to a heavier area and pick up more tonnage with which may seem to be heavier, but they may only do 600 stops that's fine, but somebody will have less drive time.

May pick up more right and the the balance. So we're able to do that balance without that technology. It will make it difficult to do that, balancing for all 45 000 houses all at once and be able to do it in efficient and timely manner. So what does a good successful week looks for me? Well, it looks when really what happens on the ground is what was projected with the routing application.

I have a projection that okay, this driver should complete the route within Say by between 3 and 3 30, and they fall within that Gap or just within that. That's a really successful week, because it means that the metrics that we're using and we we done- we have gathered, really helped.
