we
address
questions
prior
to
the
meeting,
as
well
as
have
briefings
that
are
going
to
be
coming
up
on
important
items
coming
up
in

future,
so

ahead
and
call
us
to

the
first
thing.

report

the

people

if
you
have

we

work

counsel
giving
staff
the
authority
to
take
whatever

means

you
might,
you
won't
come
back
to
us.
Should
there
be
some
type
of
misunderstanding
with
with
you
and
the
property
owner
is
correct.

authorizes
us
to
move
forward,
but
it
would
be
boarding

This

be
a
last
last-ditch
effort.

if
we,

wouldn't

misunderstanding,

communicate
and
over
negotiate

process

update

the
2040
comprehensive
plan.
A
two-year
outlook
and
taiwo
will
lead
that
discussion.
This
is
a
commitment
that
we've
made
to
you
to
come
back
to
you
continuously,
to
give
you
updates
on
where
we
are
with
the
community
engagement
piece
as
well
as
the
timeline
for
both
the
2040
plan
and
the
UDL,
and
tonight
we
also
have
chief
Putney
and
Angela
Charles.

I'm,
just
gonna,
walk
us
through
a
few
slides
today,
but
our
focus
on
really
just
a
few
of
them
as
we
go
towards
the
end
of
the
presentation.
But
tonight
I'll
give
you
an
overview
of
where
we
are
today
and
where
we
plan
to
be
in
the
next
22
months
or
so
of
the
plan.

Give
you
a
summary
of
our
community
engagement
activities,
and
this
is
new
in
terms
of
what
we
see
as
beginning
to
come
out
of
the
plan
with
regard
to
certain
themes
and
also
a
policy
framework
and
then
I'll
share
with
you.
What
a
two-year
projects
schedule
looks
like
the
manager
talks
about
talked
about
the
comprehensive
plan
and
the
unified
development
ordinance.
So
I
will
share
with
you
how
those
two
work
together
over
the
next
two
years.

This
so
again,
just
to
kind
of
reiterate
for
you
you've
seen
this
slide
here
before,
but
this
is
really
talking
about.
The
comprehensive
plan
has
been
a
guiding
light
if
you
put
it
that
way
for
a
city
that
really
determines
our
goals
and
aspirations
for
the
future.
It's
not
just
about
the
largest
piece,
but
what
are
those
are
the
things
that
the
land-use
really
connects
with
and
connects
to,
such
as
the
facilities
and
services,
environmental
sustainability
parks
and
greenways
transportation
plants
and
things
of
that
nature.

So,
while
the
Comprehensive
Plan
addresses
the
built
environment
as
we
know
and
effectively
the
layout
of
a
city,
it
really
does
help
to
shape
where
we
live,
where
we
play
where
we
walk
and
where
we
do
business
on
a
day-to-day
basis.
But
what
does
Charlotte
look
like
or
will
look
like
in
the
next
20
years?
That's
the
question
here,
but
as
we
answer
that
question,
though,
is
I
also
want
us
to
know
that
we're
not
answering
it
in
isolation,
there's
a
lot
of
good
work.
That's
been
done
in
this
community
today.

With
regards
to
smart
planning
with
regards
to
certain
policy
documents,
there
is
also
some
good
planning
efforts.
Ongoing
right
now
and
Sunday
will
continue
to
go
on
into
the
future.
So
what
you
see
on
this
slide
in
front
of
you
is
really
telling
the
story
of
the
comprehensive
plan
is
just
one
piece
of
that
and
it
has
to
connect
with
all
these
other
policy
documents,
such
as
a
strategic
energy
action
plan.

plan

the

mobility
plan.
