A
Charlotte
Center
City
continues
to
hit
it
out
of
the
ballpark
when
it
comes
to
economic
development
and
we're
not
just
talking
stadiums
and
sports,
but
a
whole
lot
more:
more
hotel
rooms,
retail
and
office,
space,
entertainment
and
housing.
This
growth
and
development
continues
to
attract
people
to
the
area
to
live,
work
and
play
over
the
last
15
years.
The
population
of
20
to
34
year
olds
has
grown
by
more
than
300%
in
South
End
and
uptown
Charlotte's.
A
B
Good
to
see
cranes
back
in
the
center
city,
because
that
means
jobs,
and
that
doesn't
just
mean
jobs
for
the
Center
City.
That
means
jobs
for
the
entire
region
and
one
of
the
hardest
industries
that
was
hit
during
the
recession
was
the
construction
industry.
So
to
see
the
skilled
labor
come
back
and
building
these
beautiful
new
buildings
is
helping
the
whole
region
regarding
the
economy,
so
the
Center
City
success
is
also
success
for
the
entire
region,
all
the
way
to
rough
pretendin
or
to
Cleveland
County
or
to
Rowan
County.
