Envision Charlotte has four pillars that we focus on energy, air, water and waste, and we have goals set in each of those pillars. Well,.

The first program that we launched was around the energy pillar when.

You're, reducing the amount of energy, a building is using a water and it's using not only lowering its environmental impact, but you're also impacting the bottom line of those businesses. And we.

Actually had 61 buildings of the 64 largest downtown commercial buildings, sign an energy pledge to reduce their energy use by twenty percent, put shadow meters in the basement of those buildings. And then we tracked our progress over the last few years. When.

You're, looking at the generation that's moving to Charlotte, they want cities that are practicing what they're preaching and are leading by example and I. Think envision Charlotte really helps us to do that and.

We have seen a sixteen percent decrease in energy use, which is unprecedented, so.

For energy waste and water, we want to reduce the usage, at least for energy and water by twenty percent. We want to decrease the amount of waste we're sending to landfills by twenty percent and on the air side, we're looking for projects that are going to help us improve the air quality in Charlotte. In vision of America is basically taking envision Charlotte and replicating it in ten cities across the country. So.

We'll have the opportunity, with the White House's support to not only tell people about the model we're using how its successful but to work with ten other cities across the country and major corporations that are involved in the Smart City space. So.
