The City of Charlotte is expecting big things from the Carolina Panthers this season, fresh off their trip to Super Bowl 50. And no one is more excited about football season than Charlotte firefighter and former NFL player Kemp Rasmussen.

of
similarities
in
the
fire
service
and
in
football
you
know
the
camaraderie
that
you
have
in
the
firehouse
and
also
in
the
locker
room.
There's
a
lot
of
similarities
there,
and
just
guys
you
know
cutting
up
joking
around.
You
know
there's
a
lot
of
that
going
on
here.
My
name
is
Kemp
Rasmussen
and
I
am
a
firefighter
for
the
city
of
charlotte
I
played
for
the
Panthers
in
2002
through
2005
and
then
played
out
in
Seattle
in
06
plate
and
50.
A
Some
games
got
played
a
super
bowl
played
in
two
NFC
championship
games.
It
was
a
lot
of
law,
hadn't
had
a
lot
of
success,
got
hurt,
had
it
had
a
couple
knee
surgeries
and
that
was
it
retired
from
the
NFL
and
now
in
fireman,
my
favorite
part
about
being
a
fireman.
Is
that
it's
an
active
job
and
it's
never
the
same
day
twice
we're
out
doing
something
different
every
single
day,
it's
not
sitting
at
a
desk
or
in
an
office
and
we're
always
out
it's
a
physical
job.
You
know
getting
sweaty
getting
dirty.
