Description
City of Chelsea, Chelsea Public Schools, Visit to the City Hall
A
A
That
makes
this
place
run
as
smooth
as
possible.
Bye.
B
Everybody
good
morning,
so
all
the
seats
behind
us
is
where
the
city
council
sits:
hires
the
city
manager
manager,
so
I'm
the
active
city
manager,
because
our
last
city
manager
left
in
their
own
for
a
new
city
manager
right
now.
So
you
might
think
of
me,
like
your
principal
okay,
the
principal
runs
your
school
coordinates.
All
the
teachers
coordinates.
All
the
gym
activities
coordinates
the
nurses
everybody
works
together
to
make
your
school
run,
we're
the
people
that
all
work
together
to
make
the
city
run.
So
counselor
Robinson
is
the
head
of
the
city
council.
B
C
B
B
B
They're,
the
guys
they're
they're,
the
team
that
does
audience
kind
of
emergency
yeah
on
a
day-to-day
basis
and
then
all
the
rest
of
us
are
sort
of
operation.
So
so
why
don't
we
go
through
and
just
introduce
yourselves
your
title?
How
long
you've
been
in
the
job
and
how
many
people
work
for
you.
D
E
Welcome
Steve
staff
here
of
the
city's
Emergency
Management
director
and
911
director,
so
I
can
write
two
hats
I've
been
here
three
years
now:
I
have
about
20
people
under
me
and
my
staff
and
on
the
Emergency
Management
side
of
the
house,
I'd
be
able
to
disasters.
After
all,
the
Departments
are
prepared
make
sure
you
folks
are
safe
on
the
nine
on
one
side
of
it.
Obviously,
by
folks
in
the.
G
My
position
is
Code
Enforcement,
but
I
also
do
a
double
job,
and
that
is
one
where
I
help
educate
students,
because
our
job
is
to
shut
Fighters
off
and
respond
to
emergencies,
but
I
like
to
focus
on
teaching
kids
how
to
prevent
emergencies
from
starting
so
yeah.
It's
an
honor
to
be
here
with
you
guys.
C
So
I'm
a
captain
on
the
police
department
but
I'm
representing
the
chief
and
what
the
chief
does
is
overseeing
the
whole
department.
Obviously
he's
been
on
37
years,
I
went
to
the
academy
room,
so
I've
also
been
on
37
years,
so
it
would
take
like
three
of
anyone
in
the
front
row
to
make
the
amount
of
time
I've
been
on
the
job.
C
What
we
do
is,
basically
we
respond
to
Quality.
We
call
9-1-1
for
emergencies.
The
police
respond
to
those
calls,
but
also
when
I'm
here
I
used
to
hear
one
of
the
police
still
well,
they
arrested
bad
guys.
We
took
away
more
women
right
because
we
know
if
you
sit
there
right
now
and
you
think
about
your
worst
action
so
far.
If
we
all
can
bottom
that
doesn't
Define
who
we
are
right,
we're
a
lot
more
than
that.
H
Hello:
everyone,
my
name
is
Jeanette
Cintron
white
I'm,
the
city
clerk
for
this
city
of
Chelsea,
but
I'm.
Also,
the
Parking
Clerk
I've
been
with
the
city
for
21
years,
but
I've
only
been
the
city
clerk
for
six
and
so
in
my
office,
we're
both
City
Clerk
and
parking.
So
on
the
city
clerk
side,
we
handle
all
aspects
of
all
aspects
of
the
election
for
voting.
H
Death
certificates,
marriage
certificates,
people
do
get
married
in
my
office,
they'll
apply
to
get
married.
We
do
that.
We
do.
We
do
open
up
office.
So
when
there's
a
new
officer
or
a
fireman,
a
fire
person
firefighter,
we
haven't
taken
old
and
we
usually
do
it
before
their
families.
We
do
the
swearing
ends
of
board
and
commission
members
I
think
we
do
dog
licenses
in
my
office
business
certificates
at
all
zoning
decisions.
H
H
K
J
K
J
J
I
have
a
fancy
name
called
city
solicitor.
I
have
been
here
on
November
20
years
at
the
city
of
City
attorney
about
15
years.
I
became
also
school
council.
That
means
I
represent
your
teachers,
your
administrators,
you,
so
that
no
one
violates
your
rights
as
students
I
represent
so
in
the
school
department.
I.
Make
sure
that
you
get
your
education
I,
make
sure.
J
J
You
to
make
sure
you
are
safe
while
you
are
on
school
campuses,
so
you
can
get
an
education.
That's
what
the
law
department
does.
There's
about
three
of
us
for
the
school
department
on
the
city,
Side
I
make
sure
all
of
them
stay
in
line
ethically.
They
all
treat
everybody
the
same.
Every
rule
that
law
and
program
that
they
come
up
with
my
job
is
to
make
sure
it's
legal
and
it's
Equitable
and
it's
fair
to
everyone.
I.
J
Whenever
they
make
new
ordinances,
which
is
the
way
we
live
and
how
we
live,
whether
or
not
how
you
put
your
trash
out
when
it
is
picked
up,
the
city
council
has
draft
laws
and
rules
around
your
day-to-day
living.
I
will
do
those
to
make
sure
they're
fair
and
do
not
violate
any
any
of
your
rights,
and
we
also
do
licensing.
So
if
you
want
to
open
a
restaurant,
you
go
to
the
licensing
department.
J
If
you
want
to,
you
know
how
some
of
our
restaurants
are
now
eating
outside,
they
have
to
get
licenses
to
do
that.
So
and
all
other
types
of
businesses
have
to
have
licenses
in
the
Commonwealth
in
the
Massachusetts,
so
that
department
is
also
under
my
office,
foreign.
K
Er
I
take
care
of
the
finance,
so
we
will
move
forward
in
my
office.
I
think
you
met
one
of
them
downstairs
who
was
telling
him
that
she
paid
to
save
his
bills,
so
we
do
that.
We
also
set
up
the
budgets
we
report
on
all
of
our
expenses
and
all
of
our
revenues
to
our
oversight.
Authority
of
dor
and
to
the
outside
Auditors
you've
met
all
of
these
other
department
heads
and
they
told
you
what
they
do.
We
stand
behind
them
with
the
finances,
so
we
give
them
all
the
money
to
spend.
K
We
ensure
that
they
spend
it
the
right
way.
We
track
what
they
do
and
we
report
what
they
do.
Our
function
ensures
that
our
local
sex
authorities
are
happy
with
performances.
We
have
high
ratings.
You
go
to
the
city
website,
you'll,
see
our
reports
on
the
city
website
and
we're
proud
of
that
work
that
we
all
do.
L
Great
good
morning,
everyone
thank
you
for
being
here.
My
name
is
Alex
I'm,
the
director
of
Housing
Community
Development,
so
our
department
has
about
14
people
and
we
do
a
lot
of
work
to
support,
creating
new
jobs
for
residents,
helping
businesses
start
up
and
thrive
in
the
city,
creating
parks
and
playgrounds,
improving
our
transportation
system
and
also
producing
housing
that
families
and
individuals
can
afford
in
the
pathways.
As
part
of
our
our
mission,
we
assist
the
city
council
with
policy
so
as
consoles
crafting
policy
to
create
new
housing
or
to
improve
your
neighborhood.
L
L
Community
groups
in
the
city,
so
working
with
volunteers
to
the
parks,
preserving
the
environment,
things
like
milk,
cream
and
other
places
of
the
city
that
are
you,
know,
sensitive
environment
locations
and
also
we
look
to
prepare
for
climate
change.
So
a
lot
of
our
work
happens
with
a
forward-looking
focus,
so
we're
looking
10
years
out,
20
years
out,
trying
to
predict
what
the
city
might
look
like
and
what
your
needs
will
be
at
that
point.
So
we
can
be
proactive
with
the
work
that
we're
doing
so
I.
L
K
I
F
K
I'll
start
a
job
is,
is
to
assure
that
the
math
is
in
the
right
places,
so
we
have
to
make
sure
that
we
report
every
time
somebody
has
the
budget
to
set
up.
They
have
categorize
that
they
are
allowed
to
spend
from,
and
we
have
that
Authority
from
city
council
city
council
approves
the
budget.
The
budget
is
about
200
million
dollars
a
year,
and
the
city
council
proves
that
buckets
to
each
department.
K
We
in
audible
have
to
make
sure
that
those
buckets
obtain
provide
expenses
in
the
right
categories,
so
the
challenge
is
to
make
sure
that
people
in
other
departments
know
that
and
comply
with
that,
and
then
we
help
them
with
that.
The
most
rewarding
part
of
the
job
is
when
we
get
high
marks
from
our
oversight
authority
to
see
that
in
the
reports
that
I
have
in
my
hand-
and
you
see
them
in
the
website-
we
have
27
consecutive
years
of
a
plus
grades.
G
The
most
recent
worst
fighter
was
in
1973,
like
half
of
the
whole
city
burnt,
and
they
had
to
use
the
Williams
School
kind
of
like
as
a
line,
because
that
building's
made
a
brick
and
they
put
the
fire
trucks
on
each
side
and
just
made
a
huge
wall
of
water
and
everything
on
that
side
of
the
Williams
school
burned,
but
they
were
able
to
save
everything
on
this
side.
Well,
that
was
April
October,
14th
1973.
C
J
J
Prior
blocks
or
roadblocks
from
those
of
us
who
didn't
look
like
everyone
else
can
now
become,
lawyers
can
now
become.
Auditors
can
now
become
lieutenant
in
the
fire
department
or
in
the
police
department.
So
it'd
be
interesting
that
all
of
you
know
that
it's
going
to
be
easy
for
you
to
choose
the
jobs
or
the
careers
that
you
want,
and
no
one's
going
to
look
at
the
fact
that
you're
a
female
or
that
your
skin
color
is
different
than
someone
else's.
J
I
have
to
know
what
the
code
for
the
buildings
I
have
to
know
what
the
new
Finance
laws
are
and
to
be
able
to
give
back
with
advice
for
my
legal
opinion
to
all
of
these
department
heads
who
then
have
to
use
those
laws
to
make
sure
that
they're
programmed
in
their
day-to-day
activities
are
facility
law.
The.
J
My
job
is,
they
get
their
work
done
every
day.
I
know
that
Chelsea's
doing
everything,
ethically
and
in
compliance
with
the
law,
because
my
office
has
given
the
right
type
of
legal
advice.
So
when
a
new
project
is
started
by
planning
or
when
the
fire
department
has
created
a
new
scheme
on
how
they're
going
to
train
people
into
the
building,
I
know
that
I'm
giving
the
right
legal
advice.
J
C
D
Foreign
Dunn
is
talking
about,
but
one
of
the
things
that's
really
hard
for
me
is
helping
keep
the
city
clean.
Does
we
go
out
every
single
day
and
pick
up
trash
and
200
barrels
on
the
street?
We
have
a
guy
that
uses
a
a
leaf
blower
to
blow
the
trash
into
a
bag.
We
do
this
every
single
day
to
help
keep
the
city
clean
and
then
sometimes
I'm
out
walking
to
get
lunch
and
I
see
someone
just
throw
a
plastic
water
bottle
on
the
ground
or.
I
D
F
I
F
K
So
I
have
a
question:
if
someone
can
answer
I
mean
you
met
one
of
my
co-workers,
I
think
downstairs
and
the
cafeteria
she
said
she
ran
into
her
name
is
Ariana
and
she
pays
all
the
bills
for
the
city
she
works
in
my
department.
She
told
me
that
she
was
a
triangle.
Student,
too
and
I.
Don't
know
what
that
means.
Can
someone
tell
me.
A
G
And
actually
that's
one
of
the
best
parts
of
my
job
is
every
square
that
you
guys
played
everywhere,
that
you
guys
come
on
and
riding
bikes
I
did
that
too
I
grew
up
here.
I
ran
down
Broadway
and
from
here,
and
it's
an
honor
for
me
to
do
my
job
and
help
protect
the
place
that
I
grew
up
in
and
it's
helped
me
have
many
special
experiences
in
my
career.
G
G
So
it's
really
awesome
that
I
can
be
here
and
with
my
co-workers
and
share
this
time
because
you're
chosen,
which
else
you
you
know
the
unity
in
this
room-
is
strong.
K
I
could
add
one
more
thing
to
all.
Last
time,
I
grew
up
in
y'all,
see
my
brother
and
I
grew
up
with
Chelsea
on
Armor
Street
and
I've,
been
with
the
city
for
27
years.
I
think
he
mentioned
37
years,
so
we've
been
here
a
long
time.
This
is
our
hometown.
Let
me
take
pride
in
it.
So
we're
happy
to
see
every
one
of
you
that
are
doing
the
same
thing.
