Well,
for
many
years
that
I
lived
in
Chelsea,
we
have
a
fruit
stand
and
I
just
wanted
to
do
a
different,
take
on
the
fruit
selling,
so
I
have
a
grandmother
and
a
whale
out
in
her
garden.
I
just
picked
tomatoes
from
elders
got
in
the
other
day,
so
it
kind
of
got
inspiration
from
that
she's
in
her
garden.
She
has
different
fruits
around.
Some
of
my
inspiration
came
from
the
Caribbean.
That's
where
I'm
from
so
I
just
wanted
to
incorporate
some
of
that
and
basically
yeah
draw
from
from
healthy
eating.

The
livable
communities
challenge
grants
are
innovative
opportunities
for
communities
to
have
quick
action
projects
which
involve
the
community
as
a
whole
and
bring
awareness
about
our
communities
as
a
whole.
Being
a
place
for
people
to
grow.
Up,
grow
old
and
live
successful
lives
as
long
as
they
can
and.
H
We
love
it,
you
know
in
particularly
AARP.
We
all
know
the
organization
for
our
advocacy
work
nationally,
but
more
specifically
about
communities.
It's
an
important
feature.
We
want
to
make
sure
everyone
is
able
to
enjoy
the
community
to
to
the
fullest
ability,
be
it
walking
the
streets
when
you
can
no
longer
drive
being
able
to
enjoy
your
spaces
around
you
and
being
able
to
again
connect
with
your
neighbors
and
everyone
around
the
community.
Well,.
G
That's
one
of
the
things
about
Chelsea
is
a
lot
of
people,
don't
have
cars
and
they
rely
on
public
transportation
and
to
walk,
and
Division
Street
in
particular,
is
a
major
passageway
for
people
to
walk
and
there's
a
number
of
senior
buildings
there.
It's
sort
of
a
the
straightest
shot
is
down
Division
Street
to
get
to
here
in
the
Senior
Center.
That's.
H
Awesome
yeah
see:
that's
that's
a
good
point.
That's
why
we
love
this
project.
Taking
that
thoroughfare,
which
you
know
may
not
have
been
the
greatest
of
areas
or
sites
being
able
to
add
some
color
to
it
with
the
art
that
you're
doing
here
today
and
again,
engage
in
the
community
is,
is
wonderful
and
just
adding
that
color
will
change
the
outlook
on
community
as
a
whole.
So.
G
H
Arp
is,
as
a
whole
is
a
nonprofit
organization
we
advocate
for
our
50-plus
residents,
our
I
should
say
citizens
and
I
really
encourage
the
community
to
get
involved.
Arp
is
dedicated
to
making
sure
our
communities
are
great
places
for
people
of
all
ages
and
yeah.
So
that's
that's
what
it
is
volunteer
opportunities
if
you
want
to
volunteer
it's
about
being
active,
staying
involved,
be
it
through
fraud,
scam,
protection,
fighting
Medicare
or
funding
to
protect
Medicare
Medicaid,
lowering
prescription
drug
cost.
G
The
Division
Street
neighbor
way
is
a
multi-block
project,
we're
starting
with
the
first
block
between
Hawthorn
and
4th
Street,
and
we're
looking
to
bring
public
art
all
up
and
down
the
street
to
make
it
a
more
welcoming
place
for
people
to
walk
and
to
bicycle,
not
just
for
cars
passing
through.
So
folks,
who've,
maybe
seen
that
the
cities
in
the
mists
of
repaving
the
street
and
probably
once
the
potholes
aren't
there
to
slow
the
vehicles
down.
G
We're
hoping
that
the
public
art
will
alert
drivers
to
know
that
this
is
a
place
for
people
not
just
for
cars.
So
the
project
is
incorporation
with
a
group
called
neighbor
ways,
design
and
they've
been
doing
neighbor
ways
all
over
the
Greater
Boston
area
as
a
way
of
bringing
communities
together
to
do
other
kinds
of
transportation
to
sort
of
recognize
about
bicycling
and
walking
in
our
downtown's.
So
we're
very
appreciative
of
the
support
of
the
city
of
Chelsea
and
City
Hall,
as
well
as
AARP
that
help
provide
funding
for
the
project.
