At

it
was
my
honor
and
privilege
to
be
able
to
announce
ask
that

Parents,
community
members
in
attendance,
I'd
like
to
welcome
the
2022
chs
graduates,
families,
faculty
and
staff
and
friends.
I
would
also
like
to
thank
dr
beta
school
cabinet
school
committee
members,
city,
councilors
dignitaries,
assistant
principals,
teachers
and
staff
for
ensuring
our
students
have
been
supported
over
the
last
12
years.

Thank
you
at
this

I'd
like
to
introduce
tom

Thank
you

about
that.

Once
again,
I
do
apologize
without
further
ado
senior

president

F
F
H
First
off
I'd
like
to
begin
by
taking
a
moment
to
express
my
sincere
gratitude
on
behalf
of
the
senior
class
to
all
the
people
who
made
it
possible
for
us
to
be
sitting
here
in
these
chairs
today.
That
includes
families,
teachers,
guidance,
counselors,
coaches,
lunch
ladies
and
especially
our
custodians
who've
all
helped
provide
a
safe
learning
environment
for
311
graduates.
H
F
H
Lastly,
I
want
to
give
a
special
thank
you
to
my
ap
literature
teacher,
miss
kalkova
for
her
support
in
helping
me
revise
my
speech
today
to
speak
with
you
all
for
those
of
you
that
don't
know
miss
kay
she's,
the
five
foot
tall
ukrainian
lady
on
blue
third,
with
fully
tattooed
sleeves,
who
can
probably
deadlift
twice
their
entire
body
weight
she's
the
teacher
whose
door
is
never
closed
and
will
place
the
sticky
note
on
your
desk
because
she
just
knows
you're
about
to
have
a
kanye
moment.
Miss
k.
H
H
My
goal
today
isn't
to
make
you
think
about
who
you
have
to
be
when
you
leave
high
school
or
the
responsibilities
you're
going
to
have
to
face
when
you're
handed
your
diploma.
My
goal
is
to
help
you
all
understand
the
importance
of
acknowledging
both
the
grieving
and
joyous
moments
that
have
encompassed
your
high
school
experience.
H
For
these
next
few
minutes,
I'm
gonna
ask
that
you
place
yourself
in
a
very
specific
time,
close
your
eyes
for
a
minute
and
center
yourself
in
a
moment
during
these
past
four
years,
where
you
felt
joy
for
each
of
us
this
moment
will
look
really
different.
Some
of
us
may
be
thinking
about
the
bus
ride
back
home
after
a
win
or
the
satisfaction.
After
watching
this
auditorium,
curtains
close
up.
F
H
When
I
was
writing
a
speech,
I
initially
wanted
to
write
about
the
fonder
moments
most
of
us
had
in
high
school
and
to
look
at
the
bright
side,
because
I
wanted
to
give
a
light,
positive
speech
to
you
all
after
the
chaotic
last
four
years.
However,
as
I
re-read
and
revised,
I
realized
that
our
high
school
experience
was
anything
but
conventional,
like
we
really
just
facetimed
each
other
from
our
bedrooms
for
an
entire
year,
and
what
other
class
in
history
can
say
that.
H
H
H
F
H
Good
or
bad,
we
all
built
reputations
and
stories
and
experiences
that
shaped
us
into
people
who
are
able
to
take
on
problems
that
many
adults
don't
see.
Our
class
has
had
to
take
on
the
unprecedented
school
closures
deal
with
the
grief
of
those
we
lost
to
the
pandemic
and
face
the
tensions
brewing
and
erupting
as
we
confront
centuries
of
racism
and
inequality
all
while
trying
to
persevere
through
our
own
mental
battles.
H
Unfortunately,
these
problems
hit
some
of
us
much
harder
than
they
hit
others
and
to
those
in
the
audience
who
are
currently
grieving,
overstimulated
feeling,
hopeless
or
alone.
I
know
that
things
may
be
hard
right
now.
You
may
be
feeling
sad,
but
you
do
have
reason
to
find
hope,
because
please
believe
me
when
I
tell
you
that
this
feeling
is
not
forever.
You
have
to
acknowledge
your
condition.
F
F
H
H
F
H
H
B
I
I
D
I
I
This
class,
ladies
and
gentlemen,
show
their
perseverance
in
spite
of
paying
a
year
and
a
half
on
remote
learning,
almost
two
years
away
from
our
school
and
each
other.
This
meant
for
many
of
you
not
spending
time
with
your
friends,
having
worries
that
no
other
generation
at
your
age
has
experienced.
I
I
I
I
I
I
would
like
to
end
with
this
quote
in
your
life.
You
will
miss
a
speak,
trust
the
wrong
person
under
react.
Overreact
hurt
the
people
who
didn't
deserve
it
overthink.
Nothing
at
all,
self-sabotage
create
a
reality
where
only
your
experience
exists
growing
perfectly
good
moment
for
yourself
and
others
deny
any
grunt
doing
not
take
the
steps
to
make
it
right
feel
very
guilty.
Let
the
guilt
eta!
You
hit
rock
bottom.
B
I'd
like
to
make
a
quick
announcement,
we
just
got
informed
if
you
are
parked
at
floramos.
They
are
gonna
tow
and
so
again,
if
you
are
parked
at
floramos,
please
move
your
car
as
they
are
calling
the
tow
trucks.
F
B
All
right
without
further
ado,
thank
you
both
to
glendi
and
osma
for
your
speeches.
They
were
wonderful
without
question.
B
It
is
my
privilege
and
honor
to
introduce
not
only
a
good
friend
but
my
mentor,
dr
beta.
J
F
F
J
And
I
remember
whispering
to
your
principal
I'm
a
little
concerned
about
the
chandeliers.
We're
literally
doing
this
at
spinelli's.
You
guys
were
having
so
much
fun.
F
F
J
F
J
Before
I
begin
before,
I
begin
to
say
to
share
all
your
accomplishments,
I
do
want
you
to
stand
up
and
say
thank
you
to
all
your
families,
your
friends
we
can
you
could.
We
could
not
have
graduated
312
students
without
our
families
and
our
friends.
Families
are
our
partners
so
graduates.
If
you
could
stand
up
and
give
a
round
of
applause.
J
The
class
of
2020
includes
2022
includes
312
students
as
of
last
night,
the
12th
312th.
This
includes
39
students
from
chelsea
opportunity,
academy
and
eight
students
from
the
chelsea
virtual
learning
academy.
This
is
the
first
year
that
we've
had
the
chelsea
virtual
learning
academy
and
we
have
eight
students.
J
J
This
includes
specific
college
grants
and
scholarships
tuition
assistance
grants,
pell
grants,
john
and
abigail
adams,
scholarship
and
various
community.
Scholarships
such
as
the
chs
scholarship
that
the
chs
scholarship
committee
oversees
the
inverse
and
versant
scholarships
city
of
chelsea,
scholarship
and
chelsea
resident
and
community
scholarship
fund.
B
K
D
D
D
K
K
D
K
K
D
K
K
And
lastly,
everyone
is
up
here
said:
do
not
forget
where
you
came
from
and
how
do
you
show
that
to
the
world?
You
show
it
when
you
go
into
the
workforce
or
you
go
off
to
higher
education
or
the
armed
forces
when
somebody
asks
you
where
you're
from
never
say,
boston,
greater
boston,
massachusetts,
don't
generalize
that
tell
them
that
you
are
from
chelsea
massachusetts
and
be
very,
very
proud
of
that,
because
we
are
proud
of
you
and
your
biggest
cheerleaders
are
in
this
very
community.
Thank
you
very
much.
Everyone.
B
L
L
Okay,
who's
hungry
who's,
hot.
Yes,
I'm
with
you,
I'm
with
you.
So
what
I
want
to
say
is
very
quick
fast
because
there's
hunger,
we
are
tired,
sleepy
and
today's
a
day
to
celebrate
and
so
I'll
be
quick
who
listens
to
bad
bunny.
L
L
I
promise
I'm
going
to
keep
it
short.
So
that's
all
I
have
to
say
actually
there's
one
one
more
thing
I
want
to
say
we
often
celebrate
our
academics
where
we're
going
after,
but
one
thing
I
want
to
celebrate
today
is
a
diversity
in
our
schools.
I'm
going
to
call
off
a
couple
of
countries
and
if
you
hear
your
country,
I
want
you
to
rep
really
loud,
and
I
want
you
to
scream
okay
and
if
I
forget
help
me
out
yes
all
right.
Well,
I'm
gonna
start
with
puerto
rico.
L
L
So
I'm
sure
I
forgot
a
couple,
so
apologies
for
that,
but
team.
I
want
to
celebrate
diversity,
be
proud
not
only
that
you're
from
chelsea
but
from
your
individual
countries,
be
proud
of
your
nationality,
be
proud
of
your
race,
your
culture
and
bring
that
everywhere
you
go,
bring
your
authentic
self
to
a
job,
to
a
college
classroom
to
the
military
to
a
vocational
program.
L
B
At
this
time
it
is
my
privilege
to
ask
that
jeffrey
poinsey.
Please
come
up
to
the
stage.
M
And
the
only
way
I
could
think
of
proving
to
myself
and
to
my
peers
that
I
was
the
best
was
to
strive
to
be
the
top
of
my
class.
But
in
doing
so
I
made
the
mistake
of
depriving
myself
of
other
needs
and
other
aspects
of
life
that
are
just
as
important,
maybe
more
such
as
my
mental
health
or
my
future
or
my
the
relationships
that
I
let
go.
D
M
M
And
that's
because
when
I
thought
about
my
life
after
high
school
after
I
didn't
really
have
a
schedule
after
everything
that
I
worked
for.
I
realized
that
I
couldn't
see
myself
in
in
the
real
adult
world
and
it
terrified
me
to
think
about
all
the
time
that
I
wasted
on
things
that
now
I
realize
don't
even
matter
to
me
anymore.
D
M
This
past
year
has
been
one
of
the
best
I've
ever
experienced,
and
it's
been
one
of
the
most
meaningful
years
of
my
life,
even
through
all
the
hardships
and
obstacles
that
my
family,
my
friends
and
myself
have
gone
through.
Oh
man
and
overcome
one
of
the
things
that
I
did
recognize
was
the
relationship
that
were
worth
saving
the
passions
that
I
have
the
hobbies
that
I've
gained.
M
That's
all
my
classmates,
regardless
of
how
you
spend
your
time
until
this
point,
regardless
of
whether
you
have
regrets,
regardless
of
whether
you
have
a
plan
for
the
future
or
not
make
sure
that
whatever
you
work
towards
after
this,
you
actually
want
to
know.
No
one
can
tell
you
what
to
do
from
this
point
on.

I
would
like
to
acknowledge
the
six
graduates
who
are
unable
to
attend
the
ceremony.
The
same
work
and
family
commitments
that
prevented
them
from
regularly
attending
school
also
impacted
their
ability
to

We
