Description
City of Chelsea, La Collaborativa
A
A
A
We
do
this
every
year,
then
we're
we're
going
to
go
through
the
slash,
really
quick
and
we're
actually
going
to
be
pulling
out
the
200
participants
that
will
be
part
of
the
program
this
year.
Okay,
again
welcome
everybody.
We
thank
you
for
being
with
us
today.
Okay,
we're
going
to
the
first
one,
actually
we're
going
to
skip
on
this
one
and
every
year
we
have
almost
650
applicants,
but
we
only
have
the
pleasure
and
of
hiring
200
youth
Peter.
Yes,.
B
We
try
to
maximize,
and
we
want
as
many
youth
in
Chelsea
to
have
an
opportunity
with
us
as
possible.
Unfortunately,
we
were
very
grateful,
but
at
the
same
time
limited
to
only
have
200
positions
open
this
summer
and
we've
had
650
plus
applicants.
So
that
is
why
we
do
the
lottery
process.
If
your
name
is
selected
as
part
of
those
200
you'll
be
asked
to
come
in
for
an
interview
and
find
a
position,
a
cohort
in
a
program
that
works
best
for
you
talk
about
your
availability,
your
goals,
all
of
those
types
of
things.
B
B
A
A
D
A
The
second
one,
the
city
hall,
internships
and
City
Hall
and
the
other
Chelsea
there
was
an
acting
this
year
as
well:
soccer
Without,
Borders
football
season,
carpentry,
apprenticeship,
cafeteria,
mentorship
development
with
the
Chelsea
reach
program,
the
the
San
Andreas
next
one
is
stem
pre-med
and
biotech
cncs
Technologies
mathematics.
A
Some
of
the
original
activities
that
we'll
be
offering
as
well
is
Workforce
Readiness
training,
youth
leadership,
skills,
financial
literacy,
weekly
mental
health
sessions
and
wraparound
Services
College
and
Career
coaching
training
and
preventing
dating
and
sexual
violence.
I
think
that
is.
A
Okay,
so
these
are
some
of
my
services
again.
The
purpose
of
our
program
is
not
only
to
keep
our
youth
busy
for
the
summer,
but
to
be
able
to
start
building
the
future
for
them,
get
them
ready
for
what
life
it
has
to
offer
for
them.
Okay,
before
we
move
on
on
to
the
on
to
the
lottery
post,
we
want
to
introduce
the
city
manager
net
key
formulations
that
has
some
good
some
some.
D
Good
day
to
everyone
where
the
city
of
Chelsea
is
really
pleased
to
partner
with
the
collaborative
and
this
important
Endeavor,
the
city
does
two
things
in
the
summer
youth
program,
one
the
city,
council,
votes
funding
for
the
program
and
that
funds,
both
supervisors
and
youth,
who
work
in
the
program.
So
we're
really
pleased
to
be
able
to
do
that.
The
second
thing
we
do
is
we
hold
internships
in
City
Hall
for
the
students,
so
we're
really
happy
to
have
the
students
here.
D
D
E
When
I
see
somebody
in
September
2023
I
remember
the
day
that
we
created
a
program,
it
was
the
morning
of
September
11
2001..
We
were
right
here
at
nine
o'clock
in
the
morning
talking
about
what
a
bad
summer
we
had
with
no
jobs
and
how
important
it
was
to
create
a
year-round
deployment
program
of
Summer
Youth,
Employment
Program,
so
it
has
been.
It
has
been
exactly
22
years
of
this
program.
E
Not
only
do
they
work
in
Chelsea
city
government,
their
police
officers
in
our
Force
Kevin
De
Jesus
is
a
fire
department,
a
young
person
that
went
through
the
Summer,
Youth
Employment
Program,
so
I
mean
we're
building
professional
careers
in
our
community
and
that's
exactly
what
we
want.
We
want
our
youth
to
be
the
next
class
visit,
the
next,
the
next
night
kid
or
Peter
and
William.
That's
what
we
win
so.
E
E
E
E
E
The
Bridget
Ochoa
okay.
C
E
Will
continue
to
pull
out
names
publicly,
it
will
pull
out
200
names
and
everyone
else
goes
into
the
waitress.
E
B
So
again,
we're
watching
if
you're
watching
this
this
is
the
live
lottery
for
the
summer
youth
employment
initiative.
So
we're
picking
200
names
from
the
lottery.
There
was
over
600
applicants,
so
we're
going
through
and
picking
the
names
we'll
be
asked
to
come
in
for
an
interview
to
secure
a
position
with
us
inside
and.
A
A
A
A
A
A
A
And
we
just
want
to
remind
everybody
that
this
is
the
summer
youth
employment
initiative
Lottery,
where
we
hired
200
youth
every
year,
just
because
your
name
isn't
called
on,
doesn't
mean
that
you
don't
have
an
opportunity
to
get
into
the
program,
and
just
because
your
name
was
called,
doesn't
doesn't
necessarily
mean
that
you
got
the
job
remember.
This
is
for
your
interview,
so.

C
A
Families
in
our
way
to
transition
into
tier
3
lottery,
give
us
a
second
I'm,
just
going
to
put
the
names
into
it
and
again
welcome
to
the
summer
youth
employment
initiative
Lottery,
where
we
choose
200
youth
to
participate
in
our
summer
program
out
of
600
youth.
If
your
name
is
not
over
600
Youth
and
if
your
name
is
not
chosen
in
a
lottery
that
doesn't
mean
that
you
don't
have
a
chance
to
get
into
the
program.
All.

A
Thank
you
to
everybody,
the
parents,
the
youth
who
will
apply
to
the
job,
our
facilitators,
our
staff,
our
donors.
None
of
this
is
possible
without
you
guys.
We
want
to
thank
City,
Hall
city
council,
everybody
who
Who's
involved
in
this
process
again.
Our
the
point
of
this
is
to
keep
all
you
busy
right,
not
just
only
to
keep
them
out
of
trouble,
but
to
be
able
to
provide
them
build
a
future
for
them
right,
it's
very
important
for
us.
So
thank
you
guys.
