Hill.

stole

idea.

Bunker
Hill
created
with
East
Boston
neighborhood
health
center.
They
created
a.

Multi
cultural
program
essentially
to
certify
individuals
to
translate
to
be
medical
interpreters,
so
we
said
well
that's
a
great
program.
Many
works
for
people
seeking
care
at
East
Boston.
We
want
a
similar
program
like
that
Tufts
Oakland,
so
we
created
what
we
called
the
multi
multicultural
service
program
and
that
program
trains,
our
call
center
staff.

if

Tufts
health

if
you
prefer

likely
to

qualified
certified
through

middle
professionalism,

navigate

access
the
workforce
training
fund.

about

local
businesses

access
the
workforce
training
fund
and
maybe
find
some

those
resources

the
chamber
and

Chelsea
Chamber
Foundation

working
together

develop
this

programs

treatment

assistance

that

program

the
natural
sure

to

truth

despite

work

done

organizations

Capitol's
minority-owned,

are
still

more
likely

turns

or
calories.

they're
afraid

it's
even
worse
for
Latino
women,
business
owners
and
it
gets
even
worse
for
black
entrepreneurs.

why

it
matter

resources
are
here
to
try
bridge
that
racial
wealth,
Catholic
bills
and
what
happens
once
you
don't
get
capped?

truth
is,
as
we
look
at
businesses.
After
and
after
Hispanic,
male
old
businesses
are
still
likely
to
be
half
the
size
of
a
white
gold
business
and
if
we're
talking.

the
inner
city
capital
connections,
but
there's
a
lot
of
eyes.
A
lot
of
sees
and
I
will
keep
you
moving
on
that,
but
we
started.
We
started
25
years
ago
with
the
work
of
dr.
Michael
Porter
out
of
Harvard
Business
School,
because
there
was
a
lot
of
conversations
about
inner
cities
or
urban
cores
in
country
over
360
cities
that
will
classify
having
populations
of
over
75,000
people
high
levels
of
unemployment,
high
levels
of
poverty
and
25
years
ago.

of
those
places
would
kind
of
forgotten
it
wasn't
a
bank
of
downtown
Roxbury
at
all.
It
wasn't
a
brandish
down
there.
Today,
you'll
find
two
and
two
more
coming
in
in
the
next
year,
so
there
is
suddenly
a
rebirth
and
dr.
Porter
looked
at
it
and
said
they
are
thriving
business,
ISM
they're,
not
just
thriving
in
many
cases,
they're
also
businesses
that
are
bedrocks
of
this
community
provide
employment.
They
provide
work,
they
might
hope
for
those
communities
and
that's
what
creates
one
and
we
created
a
our
first
program.

the

challenge

most
business
owners
was
not
just

access
to
capital,
but
the
knowledge
of
talent,

you've

an

our
national

in
the

owners

Boston
that
has
a
wealth
of
resources.

have

capital
providers

Boston
and
sometimes
it
becomes
difficult
to
know
which
one
to
approach.

programs

Chelsea
we
really
do
try
hard
to
engage
local
businesses

small

difficult,

we
continue

try

working

closely

Chamber
foundation
in
order

improve
the
programs

put
out
to
small
businesses.

these
most
recent
pilots,
that
we
have
for
both
technical
assistance
and
for
the
store
for
improvement
may
go
a
long
way
towards
actually
convincing
small
business
owners
that
the
city
really
is
trying
to
meet
their
needs.

those
programs
are
direct
rent
programs
very
little
barrier
to
entry,
little
barrier
to
apply
and
we're
trying
to
get
money
out
the
door
quickly.
