Would
just
like
to
say
happy
new
year
to
everyone
and
I
hope
everyone
had
all
our
students
and
teachers
and
staff
had
a
wonderful
break.
I
am
honored
to
be
your
superintendent.
I
have
listened
and
learned
for
five
months
now,
and
there
is
just
so
many
great
things
happening
in
Chelsea,
public
schools
and
I
look
forward
to
building
on
the
successes.
So
that
way
we
can
ensure
that
our
students
have
a
bright
future
and
that
they
are
prepared
to
be
successful
in
the
21st
century.
C
D
Good
evening
welcome
new
members:
you
should
all
have
the
indicators
of
success
in
front
of
you.
This
month's
report
is
quite
quick
in
that
we
only
have
monthly
data
new
data
and
the
mobility.
So
if
you
could
start
on
page
three
about
attendance,
you
can
see
that
grades.
One
through
eight,
are
on
track
for
our
goal
and
all
have
a
year-to-date
attendance
above
95%,
kindergarten
and
pre-k
are
very
close
with
93
s
and
we're
still
again
working
hard
at
the
high
school.
D
D
This
month,
year-to-date,
we
have
42
students
who
have
dropped
out.
That
is
two
more
than
last
year,
but
as
you
can
see
from
the
chart
in
the
middle
of
the
page,
we're
improving
from
where
we
were
from
2015
through
2018
the
we
have
had
10
students
drop
out
this
month.
Two
more
were
regular
education,
students
and
eight
more
were
ell
students.
D
Please
turn
to
page
seven,
where
you'll
see
that
the
two
of
the
ten
students
it's
spread
pretty
equally
across
the
four
grades
and
they
all
have
location
unknown,
which
means
that
we
were
unable
to
ascertain
from
them
what
their
plan
was
or
they
left
school
and
we
don't
know
where
they
went.
We
were
unable
to
catch
up
with
them.
On
page
9
will
be
our
last
piece
of
data
for
tonight.
These
are
mobility,
and
you
can
see
that
for
the
month
of
December
we
had
nine
more
students
move
out
than
in.
D
D
We
are
up
a
hundred
and
ninety
one
students
from
when
we
started
the
year
and
that's
about
a
hundred
less
than
last
year
in
as
far
as
in
and
out,
but
overall
we
are
at
twelve
point
two,
whereas
last
year,
at
this
time
we
were
at
thirteen
point
eight.
So
it's
a
full
point
and
a
half
below
the
mobility
rate
of
last
year,
which
is
good.
E
C
I
also
receive
reports
monthly
and
what
I
do
is
I,
follow
up
with
the
principals
and
say:
okay,
here's
here
are
the
students
that
I
have
and
I've
been
like.
I
will
speak
to
the
principal
directly
and
say:
okay,
tell
me
the
story:
what
do
you
know
about
the
student?
And
so
that's
that's
when
I
get
the
story,
because
we
want
to
make
sure
that
we're
encouraging
our
students
to
stay
in
school
as
much
as
possible.
C
A
We
have
a
second
great
moving
right
along.
We
don't
have
any
unfinished
business,
so
we
are
moving
right
along
to
new
business
consideration
and
action
to
accept
one
