A
Hello
to
the
people
of
Chelsea,
we
are
at
the
Walnut
Street
synagogue
in
Chelsea
for
the
Founders
Day
celebration.
We
have
a
very
distinguished
man
right
here.
He
is
the
president
of
the
Walnut
Street
synagogue,
very
instrumental
in
this
great
event.
Mr.
Edmund
Rose
welcome
and
tell
us
all
about
this
events.
Thank.
B
You
this
is
a
day
to
celebrate
the
founders.
We
put
a
team
together
to
identify
them
through
genealogical
research
on
them
and
then
contact
them.
We
have
over
250
people
over
a
hundred
descendants
and
it's
a
way
of
honoring
the
past
and
building
for
the
future,
and
we
want
people
to
know
what
it
was
like
in
the
early
1900s
when
they
came
to
Sheol
and
sat
in
the
seats
that
their
grandmother
and
grandfather
sat
in
okay.
So
how.
B
We're
up
to
about
carry
we're
up
to
about
two
hundred
and
fifty
plus
we
will.
You
know
from
two
to
three:
everybody
little
Moo's
eat
some
food.
Three
o'clock
we'll
go
up
into
the
main
sanctuary,
we'll
have
two
noted
speakers:
one
will
be
Norman
Finkelstein,
a
Chelsea
boy,
the
other
will
be
standing.
Samuel
Gruber
a
noted
historical
preservationist
who's
been
to
the
synagogue
a
couple
of
times
and
has
documented
much
information
here.
Okay,.
B
Kind
of
tongue-tied,
and
so
there
are
a
lot
of
people
if
I
name
them
all
I
I
would
be
remiss
if
I
left
somebody
else
so
I'll
just
say
all
the
committee's
worked
hard
to
get
us
where
we
are
I.
Think
when
you
videotape
it
you'll
see
all
the
people
that
are
here
from
all
over
having
a
wonderful
time.
You're.
C
A
D
250
or
more,
it's
amazing
to
see
all
these
people,
you
wonder
where
they
are
in
the
holidays,
but
thank
God.
They
people
have
come
here
and
they've
seen
the
place.
The
museum
is
going
to
be
something
special
and
upstairs
I've
been
to
Israel
four
times,
I've,
never
seen
anything
that
compares
to
what
we
have
up
here.
Point.
A
D
E
You
know
you
gotta
admire
B
for
continuing
to
support
the
synagogue,
even
though
he's
he's
not
here
but
he's
Chelsea
he'll
always
be
Chelsea,
no
matter
where
he
lives.
You
know
and
that's
the
way
Chelsea
is
you
know
we
come
back
and
we
support
everything
that
goes
on
in
this
community.
You
know
I
mean
it's
been
as
Chelsea's
had
a
great
one.
Chelsea's
you
know
has
improved,
but
it
doesn't
have
the
chemistry
of
the
people.
When
we
were
growing
up.
That's
one
of
the
things
that
is
lacking,
counsel.

A
F
It's
great
to
be
here,
it's
great
that
the
committee
got
together
and
did
a
Founders
Day
we're
celebrating
the
Founders
Day
by
speaking
to
some
of
the
members
is
something
they've
never
done.
They
wanted
to
recognize
the
founders
and
their
families
and
I'm
honored
to
be
here
to
play
a
part
of
it.
As
you
know,
I
love
this
place,
I've
been
here
many
times,
and
you
know
I'm
very
religious
and
I
believe
that
we
can
all
learn
from
places
like
this.
It's.

I
It's
wonderful
to
be
here.
It
brings
back
wonderful
memories
as
we're
standing
here
in
the
Walnut
Street
synagogue
I
see
the
the
Aron
Kodesh,
which
is
the
arc
that
was
once
belonged
to
the
Elm
Street
synagogue
and
that's
where
my
grandparents
prayed
at,
and
so
it
brings
back
just
wonderful
memories
being
here
and
knowing
that
I
have
a
connection
to
my
grandparents
and
to
my
father,
who
also
grew
up
here.
I
A
I
Lot
of
your
former
friends
from
Chelsea
I
am
I'm,
seeing
a
lot
of
people
seeing
people
the
gal
per
family
right
over
here,
who
also
belonged
to
the
Elm
Street
synagogue
and
I've,
also
I'm,
very
friendly,
with
Bert
Friedman,
who
and
I
who
grew
up
here
in
Chelsea
and
we've
become
very
good
friends,
and
so
it's
just
a
wonderful
day
to
celebrate.
It's.

A
K
Absolutely
a
beautiful
event:
I
wish
I
could
take
credit
for
it,
but
all
the
credit
goes
to
the
board
to
Eddie
Madras,
to
Richard's
Abbot
to
Herbie,
coopersmith
and
I.
Don't
want
to
name
names
because
I'm
gonna
forget
someone,
but
this
was
a
push
by
the
people
by
the
congregation
and
there
they
get
to
see
the
fruits
of
their
labor
after
a
year
and
a
half
of
work
on
this.
What's
it.
