From YouTube: School Committee Meeting of 4-13-22
Description
City of Chelsea, Chelsea Public Schools
A
A
Thank
you
team.
I
welcome
us
to
our
first
in-person
school
committee
meeting.
It's
been,
I
believe,
two
years,
and
so
it
feels
great
to
be
back
in
this
room
and
be
able
to
hug
my
colleagues
and
and
what
I
call
my
family.
So
I'm
really
really
happy
to
see
everyone
yeah.
We
have
a
lot
to
discuss
today
and
we're
really
excited
to
get
through
this
agenda
and
so
without
further
ado,
we
will
begin
tonight's
meeting
first
item
on
the
agenda.
C
Yes,
I
have
two
comments:
one
person
in
person
and
one
to
read
awesome.
So
I'm
reading
a
comment
from
mr
o'regan,
who
could
not
be
here
tonight.
C
He
says
I
believe
it
is
time
to
make
masks
in
chelsea
schools
optional.
The
numbers
have
been
low
for
a
while
give
the
children
the
option
of
wearing
masks,
and
hopefully
those
children
that
decide
to
wear
a
mask
are
not
criticized
for
doing
so.
Hopefully,
my
fellow
school
committee
members
agree
it's
time
to
make
masks
optional.
Thank
you,
shauna
regan
thank.
B
Hi,
my
name
is
maria
taxiera.
I
live
on
library,
street.
I've
had
four
older
kids
go
through
the
chelsea
school
system,
and
now
my
six-year-old
is
at
the
elc
in
chelsea,
and
I
too
am
here
to
speak
on
that
the
mask
mandate
be
removed
in
the
schools.
It's
been
removed
in
so
many
other
places
right,
including
revere.
B
I
have
family
that
go
to
school
there
and
they
their
masks
have
been
removed,
and
I
read
that
over
90
percent
of
chelsea
residents,
5
and
up
are
vaccinated,
and
I
can
tell
you
when
I
pick
up
my
child
from
school.
She's
crazy.
You
know
she's,
like
not
comfortable.
You
know,
she's
had
this
mask
on
her
face
all
day
and
and
she'll
say.
Oh
finally,
I
can
breathe.
B
You
know
and
I
can
see
the
change
in
her
behavior,
just
the
hyperactivity
and
there's
a
lot
of
research
that
that
shows
that
it's,
it's
not
really
protecting
giving
at
least
the
type
of
masks
that
the
children
are
wearing
right
now,
giving
them
that
full
protection,
but
it's
definitely
hindering
them
socially
health-wise
and
as
a
parent
I
see
it.
I
see
it
on
my
child
and,
if
not
lifted,
at
least
optional,
for
families
to
allow
parents
to
make
that
decision.
There's
a
lot
of
information.
B
That's
out
there
there's
a
lot
of
changing
information
all
of
the
time
we're
all
like
trying
to
make
the
best
choices
for
our
children,
based
on
all
the
research
based
on
all
the
information
that's
out
there,
but
with
the
successes
of
where
chelsea
is
at
right
now,
especially
when
it
was
hit
so
hard
in
the
lower
number
of
cases,
and
you
guys
having
to
have
your
first
meeting,
let's
think
of
our
children
as
well,
and
give
them
that
opportunity
to
have
some
normalcy
during
this
time.
A
D
E
E
E
Obviously
we're
not
good
enough
until
we
have
all
kids
every
day,
but
you
know
what
we
look
for
is
to
be
steady.
Nothing,
big
changes,
I'm
not
going
to
go
through
each
grade
level
and
there's
not
one
grade
level
to
really
be
specific
about
unless
the
school
subcommittee
or
dr
beta
has
any
questions
on
it.
But
as
you
can
see
across
the
board,
we've
remained.
You
know
in
the
90s
high
80s
grade
11
some
of
the
high
school
areas
remain
a
concern
that
we
continue
to
provide
interventions
and
try
some
different
things.
E
E
E
Don't
quote
me
on
the
64,
but
I
know
it's
in
the
early
60s,
so
that's
been
a
big
increase
from
where
we
were
at
before
and
many
of
those
kids
what
we
are
finding
at
the
high
school
and
some
of
the
other
places
is
they're
more
appropriately
fitted
within
the
cvla.
E
D
G
So
we'll
go
through
the
same
things:
we've
gone
through
for
the
past
few
months.
Covet
19
status
with
case
counts
for
the
full
month
of
march,
we'll
go
over
just
to
make
sure
people
are
still
aware
we're
still
conducting
our
testing
program.
We
have
in-school
options
and
take-home
rapid
tests
as
well.
We'll
talk
a
little
bit
about
our
vaccination
rates,
which
are
still
steadily
climbing
and
some
masking
updates
we'll
share
some
survey
results
and
then
we'll
turn
it
back
over
to
dr
abader.
G
So,
as
you
can
see,
we
had
that
big
spike
with
omicron
back
in
january,
late
december
and
january,
and
our
accounts
have
remained
low
ever
since.
So
these
are
our
case
counts
for
students
and
and
the
entire
month
of
march.
We
have
only
had
seven
positive
student
cases
for
staff
similar
patterns.
We
did
have
a
total
of
22
staff
cases
over
the
month
of
march.
G
There
was
a
tick
in
the
last
month
of
last
week
of
march,
but
it
jumped
right
back
down
in
the
first
week
in
april,
we've
gone
through
this,
so
we
do
have
in
school,
covid
19
testing.
G
Kids
are
getting
their
kids
and
students,
staff
are
getting
their
test
kits
to
go
home
and
they
report
they
self-report
our
12
to
15
year
olds
and
our
16
to
19
19
year
olds,
we're
at
a
95
vaccination
rate
for
those
groups
of
students
and,
as
you
may
recall,
the
5
to
11
year
olds.
That
was
not
approved
until
november,
and
then
we
really
didn't
start
to
see
numbers
tick
up
until
december.
G
During
the
month
of
march,
we
did
hold
two
clinics
at
the
complex
and
we
were
able
to
vaccinate
not
only
students
but
their
family
members
as
well,
and
at
the
high
school
we
held
a
clinic
on
the
seventh
for
chelsea
high
students.
Only
so
we
have
some
masking
policy
updates,
so
the
cdc
announced
on
february
25th
that
masking
in
schools
and
buses
is
now
only
recommended
in
areas
with
a
high
level
of
covet
19..
G
So
the
new
recommendations
no
longer
rely
only
on
the
number
of
cases
in
a
community,
but
there
are
three
new
measures
to
think
about.
So
new
coveted
related
hospital
admissions
over
the
previous
week.
They
look
at
percentage
of
hospital
beds
occupied
by
coveted
patients,
as
well
as
new
cases
per
100
000
people
over
the
previous
week.
Deci
did
lift
the
mask
requirement
in
schools
back
in
february
february
28th
and
the
city
of
chelsea,
not
the
school
system,
but
the
actual
city
lifted
the
indoor
mass
requirement
back
on
march
4th.
G
G
So
we
did
conduct
a
survey,
so
basically
it
was.
Would
you
like
to
make
masks
optional
as
soon
as
possible,
or
continue
the
mask
mandate
until
the
end
of
the
school
year?
We
had
20
about
2
600
participants,
57
percent
of
which
chose
to
make
the
masks
optional
on
their
survey
and
42.9
percent
wanted
to
continue
the
mask
mandate.
So
that's
the
total
aggregate
results
as
we
break
it
down.
G
Our
family
members
are
our
parents,
parents
and
guardians
we
had
1280
of
of
those
complete
the
survey
581
or
about
45
chose
to
make
the
masks
optional
and
699
or
54
would
like
to
continue
the
mask
mandate
until
the
end
of
the
school
year.
G
But
then,
when
we
talk
to
our
students,
it's
a
little
bit
of
a
different
case.
64
percent
of
the
students
would
like
the
masks
to
be
optional
and
about
36
percent
would
like
the
masks
to
remain,
and
our
staff
was
a
little
bit
more
on
the
side
of
making
them
optional.
We
had
825
staff
members
complete.
G
The
survey
about
71
would
like
the
masks
to
be
optional
as
soon
as
possible,
and
roughly
29
percent
would
like
the
masks
to
continue
to
be
mandatory
through
the
end
of
the
school
year,
and
with
that,
I'm
going
to
turn
it
right
over
to
dr
ebata.
D
I
am
recommending
recommending
that
we
lift
the
mask
requirement
for
all
students
and
staff
vaccinated
or
unvaccinated
when
indoors
and
on
school
buses.
Effective
may
9th
maps
would
be
optional
in
school
buildings
and
on
buses.
The
reason
for
may
9th
is
it
gives
people
an
opportunity
to
come
back
from
vacation
a
good
two
weeks
and
then
lift
the
mass
after
that,
because
we
know
that
people
will
travel
during
vacation,
and
so
that
was
something
we
took
into
consideration.
D
So
again,
mass
would
be
optional
in
school
buildings
and
on
buses,
and
the
exception
to
this
would
be
that
any
person
that
is
returning
from
a
positive
coping,
19
diagnosis
after
day
five
that
is
required
to
wear
a
mask
or
any
person
visiting
our
school
health
offices
at
the
bottom
there
you'll
it
should
be.
I
don't
know
what
happened
with
the
formatting,
but
that's
okay.
It
says
if
kovid's
rates
should
increase
in
the
city
of
chelsea.
A
H
Although
I
ultimately
agree
with
the
superintendents
and
the
community's
community's
recommendation
to
lift
the
mass
mandate
to
make
mass
optionals
within
the
school,
I
advise
us
to
be
cautiously
optimistic
in
the
coming
months,
as
we
are
still
subject
to
spikes
of
covid
as
the
new
variant
as
new
variants
form.
This
past
january,
as
a
classroom
teacher,
I
dealt
with
more
than
half
of
my
students
absent
from
school
for
several
weeks
and
an
overwhelming
amount
of
faculty
and
staff
out
due
to
covet
infections.
H
If
we're
to
consider
the
sustainability
of
teaching
where
to
consider,
we
need
to
continue
to
have
concrete
plans
in
place
to
support
our
teachers
and
students
when
these
coveted
spikes
happen
in
the
future
and
all
I
appreciate
all
the
community
members
that
continue
to
advocate
on
the
physical
and
mental
well-being
of
our
students
and
teachers
throughout
this
pandemic.
Thank
you.
I
Just
to
be
honest,
thank
you
just
for
transparency
purposes,
and
so
people
just
have
an
idea,
dr
beta,
if,
hypothetically
speaking,
the
masculine
mandate
was
lifted.
As
far
as
the
schools
is
concerned,
how
soon
we
could
we
have
the
masks
back
reinstated
as
far
as
you
know,
would
we
be
able
like,
even
if
it's
not
within
our
regular
meetings
like
if
we
see
other
numbers
are
spiking,
would
we
be
able
to
call
a
special
meeting?
Would
you
be?
D
Vote
absolutely
so
what
we've
done
in
the
past
during
this
pandemic
is.
We
have
called
special
meetings
when
we
needed
to
address
issues,
and
I
believe
that
the
school
committee
has
done
an
amazing
job
of
responding
to
cobia
19
in
the
context
of
chelsea
in
the
city
of
chelsea
city
of
chelsea,
we
were
hit
hardest
during
the
pandemic,
and
so,
as
a
result
of
that,
we've
had
to
make
decisions
that
were
quite
different
than
other
communities
during
peaks
and
in
the
valleys
of
the
last
last
two
years
and
part.
D
I
believe
part
of
this,
and
one
of
the
reasons
why
we're
still
in
mass
is
because
we're
we
listen
to
our
community.
So
anytime
something
does
come
up.
We
can
call
a
special
meeting.
I
work
with
our
school
committee
chair
and
we
work
together
and
say
I
think
it's
time
to
have
a
school
committee
meeting
and
we
we
have
that
authority.
D
D
D
Is
this
what
I
would
want
from
my
child
and
that's
how
I
lead,
and
so
I
have
a
perfect
piece
about
making
the
recommendation
that
I
am
making
tonight
if,
in
fact,
the
cases
should
rise,
we
will
we
would
tara
garcia
and
I
would
regroup,
we
would
call
special
meeting
and
we
could
reverse
we
pivot
and
we
pivot
and
we
make
the
right
turn
and
the
left
turn
and
that's
what
we
do
and
I'm
very
proud
of
our
school
committee.
We
have
done
an
amazing
job
during
this
pandemic
as
a
team.
D
J
So
at
our
last
meeting
I
suggested
that
we
continue
requiring
mask
until
the
end
of
the
semester
and
then
base
our
decision
for
the
fall
on
patterns
that
we
see
over
the
summer.
I
still
think
that
that's
the
best
course
of
action
and
the
one
that
best
protects
our
students
and
staff
and
their
respective
families.
J
The
last
time
we
had
this
conversation,
I
think
things
were
looking
better
than
they
are
now.
If
we
look
at
the
cdc
numbers
and
the
actual,
like
the
testing
numbers,
things
look
somewhat
similar.
But
if
we
actually
look
at
the
wastewater
data,
it
puts
us
right
where
we
were
around
thanksgiving
of
last
year
right
before
the
gol
micron
source
began.
J
It's
unclear
whether
this
kind
of
small
increase
is
going
to
lead
to
another
surge
of
that
magnitude
or
if
it's
just
gonna
die
out,
and
you
know
not
happen.
I
hope
the
latter
happens.
But
one
thing
I
do
know
is
that
the
city
of
philadelphia
just
reinstated
their
mass
mandate
and
I'm
almost
certain
that
they're
not
gonna,
be
the
only
ones
to
do
so.
J
My
preference
would
be
that
we
be
cautious,
stay
the
course
and
respond
after
we
see
what
happens.
I
wouldn't
want
us
to
come
back
next
month
or
even
in
a
couple
of
weeks
to
yet
another
surge
and
have
to
reactively
reinstate
our
mass
mandate
instead
of
proactively
preventing
cases
by
keeping
the
mandate
this
pandemic
is
not
over.
J
What
we
do
know
is
that
there
are
many
people
who
are
experiencing
cognitive
issues
after
having
covid
the
research
on
its
cognitive
and
developmental
effects
on
children
is
still
in
its
early
stages,
so
we
literally
don't
know
what
the
impact
could
be.
I'm
not
here
telling
you
that
I
know
what's
going
to
happen
to
people,
I
don't
know,
because
nobody
knows
right.
J
So
that's
why
I
think
we
should
be
cautious
what
we
should
have
done
from
the
beginning,
and
we
I
mean
society
is
to
keep
masks
everywhere
else
and
to
do
away
with
them
for
school,
but
unfortunately,
decision
makers
at
the
state
and
federal
level
as
much
as
they
said
that
they
were
putting
children
first
didn't
so
now
we
have
to
deal
with
their
lack
of
responsibility
and
do
what
we
can,
and
that
is
to
keep
our
kids
safe
using
the
one
intervention.
Besides
vaccination
that
we
know
is
incredibly
effective
and
that
is
masks.
J
A
Awesome
team
I'd
I'd
like
to
share
a
perspective
from
a
teacher
myself
in
the
classroom.
I
like
miss
cabral,
am
a
teacher
and
I
work
over
in
east
boston.
A
Students
are
ready
for
this
mask
mandate
to
be
lifted,
of
course,
not
all
and
staff,
of
course,
not
all
as
well,
but
I
think
giving
our
numbers
and
given
what
has
been
presented
during
tonight's
meeting,
I
feel
incredibly
confident
in
our
team
to
lift
this
mass
mandate
and
to
give
our
families
and
students
an
option
to
choose
whether
or
not
to
wear
a
mask
we.
I
am
so
incredibly
proud
of
our
city
with
our
vaccine
rate
and
yeah.
I
trust
in
our
families.
J
This
is
not
a
blanket
statement,
but
kids
are
often
not
as
good
at
calculating
risk
as
parents
are
and
we're
seeing
that
the
number
for
parents
is
actually
a
majority
for
keeping
masks
on.
So
just
want
to
highlight
that
and
then
a
second
point,
if
we're
going
to
lift
the
mass
mandate,
I
would
just
like
to
have
us:
have
a
conversation
around
when
masks
come
back
on.
I
just
want
to
make
sure
that
we're
clear
on
like
what
that
looks
like
and
what's
gonna
like
what
is
the
turning
point,
I
I
just
wanna.
J
I
would
like
to
see
us
have
an
idea
of
what
that
is,
so
that,
when
it
happens,
we
know
that
masks
are
coming
back
on.
Instead
of
having
to
reconvene,
have
another
conversation
about
whether
it
should
happen
and
then
having
a
vote
on
it.
I
think
it
would
just
be
really
important
so
that
we
can,
you
know,
respond
as
quickly
as
possible.
K
Hello,
everyone,
my
name
is
valerie
creighton
and
I
am
a
senior
student
representative.
It
is
so
nice
to
be
here
in
person
to
meet
most
of
you
for
the
first
time.
Currently
we
are
in
our
third
quarter
of
the
school
year.
Students
have
taken
the
mcas
ap
students
are
preparing
for
ap
exams
coming
up
in
may.
The
drama
club
had
some
amazing
shows
of
their
production
of
the
25th
annual
performance,
putnam
county,
spelling
bee
the
teen
action
project.
K
A
club
and
internship
here
at
the
school
is
partnered
with
the
school's
video
production
team
to
record
video
interviews
of
community
members,
ranging
from
teachers
students
to
even
some
school
committee
members
to
promote
mental
wellness
month
in
may.
I
had
the
opportunity
to
interview
mr
jimenez
today,
and
it
was
so
nice
hearing
about
mental
wellness.
From
the
perspective
of
an
adult,
I
think
many
students
don't
think
about
how
the
adults
who
support
us
takes
care
of
their
own
mental
well-being.
I
am
very
excited
to
see
how
the
project
turns
out.
K
Last
friday,
I
had
the
opportunity
to
represent
the
high
school
at
the
state
student
government
day
event
as
a
supreme
court.
Judicial
delegate,
it
was
so
much
fun
listening
and
giving
my
own
testimonies
on
two
bills:
around
healthy
school
lunches
and
voting
for
the
ages,
16
and
17.,
two
seniors
in
our
school's
track.
Team,
jeffrey
and
emanuel
have
broke
records
by
running
a
25.2
in
a
200
meter
and
throwing
a
42-9.
J
K
K
So
I
think
it
would
be
really
nice
to
reconsider,
extending
them
the
mandate
until
the
end
of
the
school
year,
just
to
see
what's
going
to
happen
after
this
this
summer
break,
and
also
this
upcoming
break
in
next
week,
just
to
make
sure
that
we
are
safe,
because
we
don't
want
to
jump
into
things
that
we
aren't
completely
sure
about.
I
think
just
having
a
little
bit
more
time
to
kind
of
see
how
things
are
going
to
play
out
would
be
very,
very
helpful
and
keep
our
community
safe.
D
Okay,
so
what
I'd
like
to
do
now
is
do
the
personnel
update,
as
you
can
see
here,
we've
had
several
new
hires
38
caucasian
31
hispanic
25,
black
and
6
asian
pacific
islander
resignations,
retirements
and
terminations.
We
haven't
had
too
many,
but
you
can
see
the
list
there
and
then
promotions
and
transfers
on.
The
second
report
you
have
is
our
enrollment.
We
are
steady
at
6190
students.
I'd
like
to
commend
these
reports
to
the
record.
Please.
A
Great
all
righty
team
consideration
and
action.
I'm
sorry
consideration.
Oh
yeah
consideration
and
action
to
make
masks
optional
in
school
buildings
and
buses,
effective,
may
9th
2021
2022
explanation.
A
vote
from
the
chelsea
school
committee
is
required
in
order
to
go
through
with
the
recommendation
of
the
superintendent
to
lift
the
mask
requirement
for
all
students
and
staff
vaccinated
or
unvaccinated
when
indoors
and
on
school
buses.
Effective
may
9th
masks
will
be
optional
in
school
buildings
and
on
buses.
A
C
Consideration
and
action,
I'm
sorry
consideration
and
to
make
an
option
to
make
mass
optional
in
school
buildings
and
buses
effective.
May

miss
cabral.
Yes,
ms
alfaro,
yes,
ms
kovas
karavaya,
yes,
miss
hernandez.
Yes,
ms
zavit,
yes,
ms
garcia!
Yes,
mr
jimenez,
no
miss
villas!
Yes
with
seven
in
the
affirmative,
one!
No
and
one
absent.
A
Seven
in
the
affirmative,
the
motion
carries
next.
We
have
consideration
action
to
move,
to
authorize
a
district
to
continue
to
maintain
the
operation
of
the
chelsea
virtual
academy.
Beyond
2021
2022
school
year
for
an
additional
three
years,
explanation
per
deci
regulation.
The
school
committee
must
vote
to
maintain
operation
of
the
chelsea
virtual
learning
academy
beyond
the
2021-2022
school
year.
Roll
call
please
consideration
and
action
go
ahead.
Mr
jimenez,
I'm
sorry.
J
Are
we
is
this?
Are
we
moving
cvla
or
try
clva
off
of
escrow
grants
for
this,
or
is
this
continuing
on
us,
sir?.
D
I
can
answer
that,
mr
himmet,
so
right
now
it
is
on
sr
grants
and
next
year,
it'll
still
be
on
sr
grants,
but
when
we
applied
originally
last
year
we
had
only
applied
for
one
year.
There
was
a
application
that
you
could
on
the
application
apply
for
multiple
years.
We
only
applied
for
one
year.
Jesse
is
saying
for
us
to
continue.
We
just
we
need
a
school
committee
vote
to
continue
operation
when
we
built
the
budget,
our
sr
3
budget.
We
built
this
into
that
right
now.
A
A
H
C
A
A
in
the
affirmative,
the
motion
carries
next.
We
have
consideration
and
action
to
accept
the
recommendation
of
the
superintendent
to
approve
a
series
of
field
trips
to
mount
cardigan
in
new
hampshire
for
eight
chelsea
opportunity,
academy,
students
and
two
chaperones
on
may
4th
5th,
11th,
12th,
18th
and
19th
explanation
this
year.
The
chelsea
opportunity
academy
is
offering
the
opportunity
for
students
to
participate
in
the
outdoor
experience
course,
which
provides
students
with
the
chance
to
learn
more
about
hiking
and
camping
out
of
state
field.
A
J
J
D
So
and
every
other
school
system,
I've
worked
in
any
time,
it's
a
out
of
state
field
trip
or
overnight
it
has
to
go
through
school
committee
due
to
insurance
and
so
day-to-day
you
won't
see
the
day-to-day
field.
Trips
and
actually
we
haven't
had
very
many,
but
normally
it
does
because
of
the
insurance.
The
liability
and
everything
overnight
and
anything
out
of
state
will
come
through
school
committee
every
they
have
to
submit
normally
30
days
in
advance
the
day
to
day,
if
they're
going
to
a
science
museum
that
doesn't
go
to
school
companies.
C
Thank
you
real
quick,
please
consideration
and
action
to
accept
the
recommendation
of
the
superintendent
to
approve
a
series
of
field
trips
to
mount
cardigan
in
new
hampshire
for
eight
chelsea
opportunity,
academy
students
and
two
chaperones
on
may
4th
5th,
11th,
12th,
18th
and
19th
ms
cabral.
Yes,
miss
alfaro,
yes,
ms
covas
caravallo.
I
C
A
Eight
in
the
affirmative,
the
motion
carries
next.
We
have
consideration
action
to
accept
the
recommendation
of
the

to
approve
two
field
trips
to
the
common
ground
center
in
stockholm,
vermont
for
eight
chelsea
reach
program,
students
and
five
chaperones
on
april
29
through
may
1st
and
june
3rd
through

explanation
this
year.
The

has
invite
has
been
invited
to
receive
one
on
one
assistant
from
filmmakers
to
finalize
their
own
documentaries
that
they
have
been
working
on
all
year
out
of
state
field.
Trips
must
be
approved
by
the
school
committee,
roll.

Yes,
ms

Yes,
mr
jimenez,
yes,
miss
velez!
Yes,
let's
see
in
the
affirmative
and
one
absence.
A
In
the
affirmative,
the
motion
carries.
We
wish
all
of
our
students
the
best
of
time
on
these
field
trips.
It
is
a
great
feels
great
to
approve
field
trips
right.
We
are
at
that
time.
Finally,
and
so
thank
you,
alrighty
team.
Now
we
are
in
the
communications
section
of
our
meeting.
A
Are
there
any
communication
or
any
messages
from
the
school
committee.
I
Per
se,
but
I
would
like
to
commend
miss
dixiero
or
mrs
sorry,
when
I
came
up
before
the
board
to
ask
them
kindly
to
allow
me
to
join
them.
I
It
was
brought
up
to
my
attention
that
we
didn't
necessarily
have
the
amount
of
parent
interaction
that
we
as
a
city
would
potentially
need
or
or
want,
and
I
in
my
in
in
my
heart,
knew
that
that
something
was
off
and
it
wasn't
reflecting,
and
I
have
a
funny
feeling
that
you're
the
beginning
of
a
lot
more
to
follow.
So
I
appreciate
you
reaching
out
and
advocating
for
your
child,
because
that's
what
you
know
parents
do
so.
L
To
say
that
the
vote
on
the
mass
mandate
was
a
difficult
vote,
because
I
listen
to,
I
read
all
the
statistics
and
hear
everything
that's
happening
with
covet
and
I
totally
agree
with
my
my
peer
with
mr
jimenez.
Children
are
necessarily
the
best
candidates
to
judge
with,
of
course,
they
want
the
mask
off
it's
uncomfortable.
I
know
it's
uncomfortable
me.
I
don't
want
it
on,
but
they
wanted.
L
They
want
comfort,
they
want
ease,
they
want
to
enjoy
themselves
which
is
natural
that
their
children,
but
they
don't
realize
that
the
risk
that
they're
taking
and
a
lot
you
know
a
lot
of
the
risk
happening
right
now
with
the
kids,
because
they're
the
younger
ones,
the
ones
that
are
that
are
not
that
we
don't
have
as
much
information
on
there
are
people
that
have
gotten
covert
and
have
barely
had
anything.
I've
had
covert
three
times
and
two
of
the
times
they've
been.
I
had
it
once
before.
L
I
was
vaccinated
two
times
after
I
was
fully
vaccinated.
The
vaccination
does
not
mean
you
don't
get
it.
It
just
means
you're
supposed
to
get
it
easier
or
less
symptoms,
and
you
do
you
have
with
less
symptoms,
or
at
least
in
my
case
the
first
time
was
scary.
It
was
bad
that
the
next
two
were
not
great,
but
they
felt
like
bad
colds
and
other
people
and
in
worse,
health
than
me
have
gone
in
it.
Nothing's
happened
to
them.
Other
people
in
better
health
than
myself
have
gone
in
and
have
died.
L
L
L
I
To
begin
with,
so
we
are
still
leaving
the
option
number
one
to
the
parent
and
the
child
and
number
two,
the
bigger
question:
if
we're
really
going
ahead
and
having
an
open-hearted
and
a
really
honest
discussion
would
be,
what
are
you
and
your
child
doing
when
you're
not
within
the
chelsea
school
systems,
because,
realistically
speaking,
if
you've
spent
the
whole
weekend
at
your
local
grocery
stores
at
restaurants,
you
know
every
second
that
you
drop
your
guard.
I
In
my
opinion,
I
am
I'm
again
a
mother
of
two
young
children,
so
this
was
as
well
very
hard
for
me,
but
we-
I
definitely
took
all
of
this
into
account
and
I
feel
in
my
heart
that
we
have
made
the
best
choice
and
we
have
everything
in
motion
so
that
should
anything
change.
We
will,
as
my
peers
have
said,
get
back
jump
on
the
saddle,
so.
F
E
F
A
Thank
you,
miss
villas.
I
have
one
quick
announcement
and
then
dr
beta
has
a
few
for
us
tomorrow
after
three
p.m.
At
the
la
corroborativas
food
pantry,
we
are
hosting
our
annual
easter
basket.
Distribution
for
our
families
all
are
welcome
to
attend
whether
you're
an
adult
and
want
a
picture
with
our
easter
bunny.
Who
is
my
brother?
A
A
Many
are
in
this
room,
so
I
thank
you
for
helping
with
this
special
call
that
is
really
close
to
my
heart
and
and
just
watching
the
kids
line
up
and
receiving
their
baskets
of
toys.
I
put
books
in
there
I
promise
and
and
chocolates
and
fun
things.
It's
really
important
to
continue
to
spread
joy.
A
It's
been
a
really
hard
time
a
hard
two
years
and
my
I
try
my
best
along
with
my
peers
here,
to
continue
to
spread
joy
while
also
maintaining
the
safety
of
our
children
as
our
top
priority
in
the
safety
of
our
staff
and
all
of
us
here
with
us.
And
so
thank
you
and
I
hope
to
see
you
at
the
pantry
tomorrow.
The
address
is
65
6th
street
in
chelsea
and
I
hope
to
see
you
there,
dr
beta.
D
Great,
so
I
have
a
couple
announcements.
First,
I'd
like
to
congratulate
amanda
alpert.
She
just
received
an
award
from
her
alma
mater
endicott
college
for
her
work
and
leadership
with
athletics.
So
a
huge
congratulations
to
amanda
alpert
we're
very
proud
of
her,
and
then
yesterday
we
had
a
student
who
was
choking
in
the
cafeteria
and
I
our
security
guard
eugene
valenzona
jumped
in
and
if
you,
if
you
any
of
you,
know
eugene
she's,
an
amazing
security
guard,
but
she
jumped
in
did
what
she
needed
to
do.
Did
a
heimlich
remover
and
she
helped
our
students.
D
So
I
just
wanted
to
say
thank
you
publicly
to
eugene
for
her
heroic
efforts.
She's,
amazing
and
then
we
are
high
school
has
started
spring
sports,
so
the
calendar
is
out,
thank
you,
amanda
alpert
and
mr
lovato
for
making
it
old-fashioned
style
for
me,
and
so
I
can
post
it
on
my
wall
and
I
make
sure
that
everybody
gets
one.
And
then
I
just
want
to
congratulate
our
high
school
performing
arts.
D
A
A
Without
you,
many
of
this
could
not
have
happened
when
you
when
we
walked
in
the
joy
on
your
face.
The
tears
in
your
eyes
really
show
us
that
you
love
what
you
do
and
I'm
getting
a
little
emotional
myself,
but
it
feels
really
good
to
be
here
and
thank
you
for
your
dedication
for
the
love
that
you
give
to
to
all
of
us
through
email
phone
call
text.
So
thank
you
truly.
A
And
also
your
son
came
out
in
the
mgh
magazine
he's,
mr
popular,
so
if
you
haven't
seen
it
check
it
out,
it's
a
really
awesome
article.
Thank
you,
veronica
alrighty
team.
Do
I
have
a
motion
to
adjourn
this
meeting
awesome
second
meeting
adjourned
at
7,
48
pm
thanks
everyone
and
have
a
great
break.
