Description
City of Chelsea
B
So
we
have
been
haven't
talked
about
this
issue
now
for
about
three
months.
Three,
four
months
and
unfortunately,
we
we
we
haven't,
come
to
a
resolution
that
meets
that
meets
all
the
requirements
of
of
particularly
our
public
safety
departments
and
again,
the
the
the
main
concern
is:
is
the
the
congestion
that
this
this?
This
change
would
cause,
particularly
on
park
square
and
and
more
importantly,
if
there
there
is
one
lane
of
travel,
and
there
is
congestion.
B
It
is
the
ability
to
to
to
navigate
an
emergency
vehicle
in
in
that
corridor.
So
with
that
said,
I
would
request
that
the
commission
denied
this
request.
We,
we
tried
I'm
long
and
hard
to
to
look
at
it
and
try
to
find
a
way
to
to
to
approve
it,
and
we
just
haven't
come
to
a
resolution
on
it.
C
C
Hall
good
afternoon,
I'm
coming
here
to
present
the
idea
of
installing
a
charging
station
at
chelsea
city
hall.
C
It's
also
going
to
be
funded
by
eversource,
so
it's
going
to
be
free
to
the
city.
Since
we
qualify
as
an
environmental
justice
community,
I
brought
the
drawings
that
they
will
be
located.
It
was
approved
by
eversource
to
be
on
city
hall,
ave
right
after
the
stops
sign.
So
you
take
a
left
on
city
hall.
I
have
there's
three
spots
and
then
it's
the
last
two
of
the
three.
A
C
A
A
B
B
You
know
where,
where
those
spots
going
to
to
impact
the
the
residents
and
and
how
just
how
often
they
would
sit
idle
or
be
used,
and
I
mean
the
last
month
I
spot
I,
I
have
spot,
checked
those
those
those
those
parking
sites
and
and
have
seen
that
there
is
a
lot
of
usage.
We
actually
have
software
that
that
that
tracks,
how
much
the
the
charging
stations
are
being
used
and
they
are
being
utilized
one
of
our
counselors,
actually
counselor
sabbat.
B
She
lives
on
on
on
spencer,
but
but
when
she
parks
her
car
in
this
charging
station
and
and
walks
home,
because
it
is
the
only
charging
station
that
we
have
in
the
city.
So
just
you
know
we're
we're
we're
following
the
lead
of
of
other
municipalities.
Really
specifically
revere
city
hall
has
has
had
a
charging
station
for
a
long
time
now.
I
feel
like
that
that
it's
it's
time
for
us
to
to
do
it
in
city
hall,
in
chelsea,.
D
So
I
guess
the
only
thing
I
would
add
is
that
you
know
our
department
is
strongly
supportive
of
the
expansion
of
charging
infrastructure.
It's
definitely
long
overdue
and,
moreover,
the
adoption
of
electric
vehicles
will
be
occurring
and
increasing
in
the
the
coming.
You
know
five
years
so
having
the
underlying
infrastructure
to
support
the
adoption
is,
is
critically
important,
particularly
if
it's
in
an
accessible
location,
that's
close
to
residential
neighborhoods
and
institutions.
