Description
City of Chelsea
A
A
This
holiday
season
is,
unlike
any
others,
it's
been
very
difficult
and
strange
this
year,
but
through
our
hardships,
our
community
has
once
again
shown
just
how
kind
and
resilient
it
can
be.
While
we
can't
be
together
in
person
as
we
usually
are
this
year
celebrating
with
parties
and
gift
giving
and
an
official
manure
lighting
and
tree
lighting,
we
can
still
stay
connected,
enjoy
and
enjoy
festivities
from
afar.
A
This
show
is
a
celebration
of
our
community.
The
highlights
include
storytelling
from
santa
himself
in
both
english
and
spanish.
A
look
at
the
hanukkah
themed
exhibit
called
brighter
together
at
gallery
456
and
santa's
ride
through
the
streets
of
chelsea
to
send
to
children
his
special
cheer.
It's
all
wrapped
up
in
many
heartfelt
well-wishes
and
performances
from
around
the
city.
A
B
B
C
So
I
want
to
wish
everyone
in
chelsea
a
very
merry
christmas.
I
know
we're
not
having
the
chance
to
have
our
great
tree
lighting
ceremony
this
year,
but
this
is
our
way
to
just
express
our
good
wishes
to
you.
I
know
santa
is
going
to
be
very
good
to
each
and
every
one
of
you
because
you've
been
so
kind
and
generous
and
considerate
to
all
of
your
neighbors
during
this
pandemic.
I
also
want
to
wish
you
a
very
happy
new
year.
D

This
is
the
theme
of
san
lux
and
lucas
coming
to
you
to
wish
you
a
a
very,
very
holiday
season,
and
so
we
are
here
on
saturday
distributing
food
for
people
and
for
friends.
We're
filled
with
the
spirit
of
eventualness
from
our
community
and
with
joy
to
serve
so
feliz.
F

H
Hello,
everybody-
this
is
alex,
I'm
also
part
of
the
chelsea
disability,
commission
and
I'd
like
to
wish
you
and
all
of
chelsea
happy
holidays
and
a
prosperous
new
year.
Thanks.
I
Just
wanted
to
wish
everyone
very
happy
holidays,
and
I
know
it's
difficult
this
year,
because
nothing
is
the
same.
So
we
have
to
make
new
traditions
and
new
memories,
and
you
know
I'm
profoundly
grateful
for
the
people
of
chelsea,
the
workers
and
the
city,
people
and
the
residents
for
doing
good
stuff.
And
what
I
would
like
to
ask
is
that
we
be
as
careful
as
possible
for
our
mass
keep
social
distancing
and
please
please
take
care
of
our
families
by
not
gathering
so
happy
holidays.

Hi
everyone,
my
name,
is
beth
novak
and
I'm
the
chair
of
the
library
board
of
trustees
in
chelsea
and
also
an
admin
on
the
on
the
chelsea
m,
a
what's
happening
page
and
I
just
wanted
to
wish
everyone
a
happy
holiday
season.
I
hope
you
enjoy
spending
time
with
your
family
and
stay
safe
and
here's
to
a
very
blessed
2021.
I
hope
you
have
a
wonderful
new
year
cheers.
N
Hi,
I'm
sue
the
line
from
the
chelsea
chamber
and
I
want
to
wish
happy
holidays
and
a
happy
new
year
to
everybody.
I
know
this
has
been
a
challenging
year
for
everybody
in
so
many
ways,
but
we're
getting
through
it
and
I'm
hopeful
for
2021..
N
Today,
the
chambers,
at
the
rally
learning
center
on
sherlock
street,
passing
out
gift
bags
that
we
put
together
thanks
to
donations
from
many
generous
partners
that
we
have
here
in
chelsea,
along
with
the
cannoli
chips.
Here
we
go
and
ppe's
that
were
donated
to
the
city.
So
we're
happy
to
do
this.
The
chamber
wasn't
able
to
do
their
breakfast
with
santa
this
year,
unfortunately,
but
hopefully
we'll
be
back
for
next
year,
but
we
still
want
to
do
something
for
the
for
the
kids
in
chelsea.
So
we
passed
out.
N
200
gift
bags
at
st
looks
like
saturday,
which
is
awesome,
and
we
have
another
400
today
so
again,
happy
holidays
to
everybody
and
and
happy.
N
N
N
A
A
So
thanks
so
much
for
bringing
jay
arts,
your
wonderful
exhibit
to
downtown
chelsea
to
gallery
456..
So
if
you
can
tell
me
a
little
bit
about
j
arts,
so
jamie
you've
been
our
partner
with
us.
Do
you
want
to
kick
us
off.
O
Sure
so,
jewish
arts
collaborative
typically
does
some
pretty
big
stuff
around
hanukkah
and,
as
we
know
this
year,
hanukkah
is
going
to
be
looking
a
little
different
and
that
we're
not
able
to
gather
together
in
person
and
so
brighter
connected.
The
exhibit
that
we
are
talking
about
today
has
been
specifically
designed
for
social
distancing
by
having
us
install
exhibits
around
the
theme
of
light
in
eight
different
windows
around
greater
boston,
and
we
were
thrilled
to
work
with
the
city
of
chelsea
for
one
of
these
installations.
A
Great
laura
tell
me
about
your
role
with
the
organization,
absolutely.
P
So
I'm
the
executive
director
of
j
arts-
I
was
actually
our
founding
executive
director
when
we
were
created
about
five
years
ago
and
one
of
the
first
projects
we
ever
did
as
the
organization
was
called
eight
nights.
Eight
windows,
which
was
sort
of
a
first
iteration
of
this
public
art,
installation
and
windows
project,
and
so
we
were
really
excited
to
be
able
to
bring
this
light
of
hanukkah
and
of
the
holiday
season
to
our
community.
In
this
really
difficult
and
dark
time.
A
Jamie,
can
you
tell
us
a
little
bit
about
clint's
part
in
the
he's,
the
artist
that
did
the
exhibit
in
for
us
so
tell
us
a
little
bit
about
his
piece.
O
Yeah,
so
clint
is
a
local
artist
and
a
photographer,
and
when
the
call
was
put
out
to
artists,
clint
was
one
of
the
the
respondents
one
of
the
artists
who
said
that
he
would
love
to
participate,
and
actually
I
am
going
to.
Let
laura
tell
you
a
little
more
about
that
part
of
the
process,
because
I
am
new
to
the
arts.
P
But
what
was
really
exciting
for
this
year
was
that
we
knew
that
with
people
being
isolated
and
distanced
that
they
would
be
looking
for
something
to
participate
in
for
this
holiday
season,
and
so
what
we've
loved
about
this
project
of
brighter
connected
since
we
chose
the
artist
back
in
august,
is
that
the
real
charge
was
both
to
create
great
works
of
art
that
represent
the
light
and
the
connection
of
the
holiday
for
these
eight
different
communities,
but
also
to
have
this
really
important
community
engagement
aspect
so
that
communities
can
come
together
around
it,
whether
that
be
physically
participating
in
the
creation
of
the
work
or
in
the
case
of
clint,
to
have
this
conversation
about
what
hanukkah
means
in
the
broader
cultural
context
of
our
community.
P
So
when
we
talk
about
this
cold
dark
season,
there's
a
reason
you
have
hanukkah
and
kwanzaa,
and
christmas
and
diwali
a
few
weeks
earlier,
and
it's
all
to
the
end
of
bringing
light
to
our
community
in
this
really
dark
and
cold
time.
And
so
we
were
really
excited
to
work
with
clint
whose
work
sara
is
always
about.
P
These
led
tube
lights
that
are
creating
these
images
and
so,
as
jamie
said,
he's
a
photographer
and
he's
putting
these
incredible
images
on
these
lights
to
literally
illuminate
them,
but
also
to
tell
the
story
through
them.
And
so
the
piece
that
clint
has
created
for
this
installation
actually
features
a
eucalyptus
tree
which
has
so
much
depth
and
meaning
to
it
that
I
find
really
beautiful
and
fascinating.
A
O
So
you
know,
as
we
were
installing
this
exhibit-
and
this
is
coming
from
you
know,
a
jewish
organization,
but
a
lot
of
our
partners
are
not
jewish
and
even
though
chelsea
has
this
really
rich
jewish
history.
We
know
that
chelsea
has
changed
over
the
years
or
so
many
communities
have
and
we've
really
wanted
to
embrace
chelsea
and
who
lives
there
now
and
who's
lived
there
before
and
so
by
engaging
with
local
faith
leaders
from
chelsea.
O
We
wanted
to
hear
their
perspective
on
light
in
this
season
and
so
reaching
out
to
some
of
the
community
members
who
you
know
lead.
Some
of
the
different
faith-based
communities
was
really
a
nice
way
of
engaging
with
again
the
history
of
jewish
chelsea,
the
current
experience
of
residents
of
chelsea
and
how
they're
living
in
this
moment
and
where
they
see
light
being
a
part
of
their
season,
so
their
their
quotes.
Their
thoughts
are
all
in
the
window.
O
A
Great
well,
thank
you
so
much
for
bringing
this
really
quality
art
to
our
downtown
gallery.
456
is
brighter
than
it
ever
has
been
before
and
thanks
for,
despite
the
challenges
the
pandemic,
doing,
you
know
engaging
with
us
and
partnering
with
us,
virtually
and
and
in
person.
It's
really
been
a
great
way
of
connecting
past
and
present
and
bringing
light
to
our
community
that
all
of
us
could
use
a
little
more
light.
Brightness
this
this
year.
H
Q
Q
R
It's
been
a
hard
year
for
many,
but
it's
also
been
a
year
when
our
community
has
pulled
together
like
never
before
so
I'm
proud
to
both
live
and
work
here
in
chelsea.
I'm
grateful
for
the
so
many
ways
that
our
neighbors
and
colleagues
and
the
parents
of
our
students
have
worked
to
lift
each
other
up
and
I
send
our
entire
community
all
the
blessings
of
this
holiday
season.
S
Hi
everybody-
this

wishing

I

The
holiday
season
is
here,
but
unfortunately
the
coronavirus
is
still
with
us.
Our
community
has
suffered
so
much
during
this
pandemic
with
high
rates
of
infection
and
folks
are
struggling
financially,
but
there
is
hope.
A
safe
and
effective
vaccine
will
be
available
in
the
upcoming
months.
In
the
meantime,
it
is
very
important
to
stay
safe.
We've
come
this
far
and
now
is
not
the
time
to
let
your
guard
down.
U
U
If
you
must
gather
with
others
outside
of
your
household,
there
are
a
couple
of
things
you
can
do
to
try
to
make
it
safer,
get
tested
for
the
virus
before
and
after
the
holiday.
Keep
gathering
small
do
your
best
to
stay
socially
distanced,
it's
not
too
cold.
Think
about
having
meals
outside
but
stay
socially
distanced
even
outside.

a
difficult

many
of

because
you
have
been
such
good
girls

I'd
like
to
read
a
very
special
story,
so
gather
up
your

give

a
great
big
hug
and

The
children

nestled
all
snug
in
their
beds,
while
visions
of
sugar

danced
in
their
heads

kerchief.
An
eye
in
my
cap
had
just
settled
down
for
a
long
winter's
nap
when
out
on
the
lawn
there
arose
such
a
clatter.
I
sprang
for
my
bread
to
see
what
was
the
matter
away
to
the
window.
I
fooled
like
a
flash,
tore
open
the
shutters
and
threw
up
the
sash.

what
to
my
wondering
eyes
should
appear,
but
a
miniature
sleigh
and
eight
tiny
reindeer
with
a
little
old
driver.
So
lively
and
quick,
I
knew
in
a
moment
it
must
be
saint
nick,
more
rapid
than
eagles
his
courses,
they
came
and
he
whistled
and
shouted
and
called
them
by
name
now.
Dasher
now
dancer
now
prancer
and
vixen,
on
comet,
on
cupid,
on
donda

his
eyes
how
they
twinkled
his
dimples.
How
merry
his

His
