From YouTube: National Honor Society Ceremony 2021
Description
City of Chelsea, Chelsea Public Schools
B
Hello,
everyone
and
welcome
to
the
annual
induction
ceremony
of
the
national
honor
society
here
at
chelsea
high
school.
I
am
so
glad
to
be
able
to
see
everyone
in
person
this
year,
I'm
elena
asher-
and
this
is
the
third
year
that
I've
had
the
honor
to
be
the
faculty
advisor
of
the
national
honor
society.
I'm
excited
to
welcome
over
the
30
new
members
into
this
prestigious
society
tonight.
B
First,
however,
I
must
acknowledge
our
current
members
for
their
continued
commitment
to
service
within
the
school
and
the
community.
This
year
has
been
more
difficult
than
most
that
you
when
you
have
went
above
and
beyond
the
letter
of
your
commitment
to
help
our
school
you
registered
over
20
seniors
to
vote.
This
fall.
You
sent
care
packages
to
the
military
through
operation.
B
You
partnered
with
organizations
like
chelsea
neighborhood
developers,
free
groups
and
the
community
enhancement
team
to
strengthen
your
community
and
the
first
time
ever,
you
led
a
faculty
meeting.
You
did
an
excellent
job,
facilitating
a
valuable
discussion
between
students
and
educators
about
remote
learning
for
all
of
our
inductees
being
honored.
Tonight
you
were
elected
based
on
four
criteria:
inscribed
in
the
honors
society
of
employment,
character,
scholarship
leadership
and
service.

I
E
Thank
you.
I
don't
know
how
I
can
live
up
to
that
the
one,
and
only
only
the
amazing,
I'm
michael
james.
Thank
you
so
very
much
welcome.
My
name
is
dr
jennings.
I'm
the
equity
officer
here
for
just
for
schools.
I
think
today
is
the
19th
of
may.
I
started
here
october,
the
19th,
so
I
am,
I
consider
myself
deeply
blessed
and
humbled
to
be
able
to
serve
you
all
here
in
this
beloved
community.
E
E
Thank
you,
nhs
for
inviting
me
to
speak
here
today
when
I
started
on
october,
the
19th
shortly
after
maybe
the
second
week
on
the
job,
the
national
honor
society
was
the
first
group
in
our
beloved
community
that
opened
this
book
that
opened
its
arms
to
me.
So
I'm
deeply
thankful
and
consider
myself
indebted
to
you
all
and
love
the
church.
You
are
shown
towards
me.
E
E
E
You
are
intelligent
intelligence,
the
ability
to
learn
having
a
high
degree
of
mental
capacity,
reflecting
good
judgment
through
your
academic
work.
Each
of
you
have
consistently
proven
that
you
got
the
juice
you
are
intelligent.
You
have
the
ability
to
learn
during
challenging
situations,
19
being
one
of
them.
E
E
E
E
E
Please
keep
being
a
part
in
leading
that
change
truth
telling
one
who
tells
truth
the
whole
truth
and
nothing
but
the
truth,
even
when
it
hurts
I'd
like
to
believe
you
all
came
out
with
the
truth,
tellers
mama
just
milked
you
code,
I
need
to
be
changed,
but
the
reality
you
all
have
made
us
better
because
of
your
ability
to
tell
the
truth.
E
A
E
E
Let
me
say
that
when
I
was
in
high
school,
I
purposely
didn't
take
capitalists
nor
physics,
that's
just
not
my
gifting,
but
many
of
you
are
have
done
that
in
bt,
but
I
want
to
challenge
you
to
use
your
intellect
to
advance
causes
that
update
humanity,
advances,
equity,
inclusion,
belonging
and
diversity
for
all,
no
matter
one's
identity.
E
E
E
G
You
good
evening,
everyone,
you
know
after
leading
so
many
nhs
meetings
online.
I
like
you're,
comfortable
leading
behind
the
screen.
I'm
not
worrying
about
just
closing
out
there
just
playing
video
games,
but
having
you
guys
here,
changes
a
lot
of
things
but,
as
I
mentioned
earlier,
I
am
richard
flores.
I
am
the
president
of
nhs
and
I'm
here
to
talk
to
you
about
scholarship,
one
of
the
main
four
pillars
of
rhode,
island
and
hsn.
G
So
scholarship
is
defined
as
a
commitment
to
learning
scholarship
is
not
an
inherited
quality,
but
one
that
is
required
and
developed
as
a
result
of
responsibility,
diligence
and
dedication,
as
you
all
know,
getting
good
grades
gpa
and
all
that
stuff
for
a
few
requirements
to
enter
this
prestigious
group.
G
G
Effort
that
each
and
every
one
of
our
nhs
members
presents
today
and
still
continues
to
apply
at
school
balance
in
school,
with
extra
regulars
jobs
and
still
getting
good
grades
still
having
the
passion
to
offer
the
time
service
to
whoever
is
in
need
of
help,
especially
during
this
pandemic.
Yes,
it
is
hard.
Remote
learning
has
been
challenging,
but
we
still
continue
to
excel
in
our
academics,
apply
an
effort
to
get
educated
you're
all
here.
For
a
reason,
your
commitment
to
learning
in
chelsea
high
school
has
driven
you
to
become
part
of
the
larger
organizations.
G
People
oversee
scholarship
and
don't
realize
the
impact
and
benefits
of
people.
One
of
raleigh
b,
king's
songwriter
famous
quote,
says:
the
beautiful
thing
about
learning
is
that
nobody
can
take
it
away
from
knowledge,
and
education
are
great
elements
of
success.
Success
is
achieved
by
choice,
not
by
chance.
I
strongly
believe
that
every
one
of
the
members
here
at
present
today
has
what
it
takes
to
be
successful.
This
is
why
I
believe
the
scholarship
is
a
vital
part
of
nhs
building.
As
with
education
and
knowledge,
we
as
a
community
can
achieve.
G
G
G

G
G
G
D
Okay,
hello,
everyone,
my
name
is
victoria
studo
and
I'm
the
vice
president
of
nhs.
So
I
just
want
to
start
off.
I
know
you
guys
have
heard
this
a
bunch
of
times
tonight,
but
I'm
really
proud
of
you
guys
for
everything
that
you
guys
have
accomplished
this
year.
You
guys
finished
all
the
criteria
that
you
needed
to
meet
and
I
know
that
it
was
harder
than
ever
because
of
this
pandemic,
and
I
want
to
also
say
congratulations
to
our
seniors
because
you
guys
have
made
it
we're
done
we're
out.
That's
it.
D
D
D
F
How
are
we,
how
are
we
so
I'm
going
to
be
translating
for
vicky.
F
F
F
For
nhs-
and
this
is
my
speech
in
my
opinion-
sorry
to
all
other
officers
service-
is
one
of
the
strongest
pillars
and
most
important
pillars
of
the
national
honor
society.
It
is
a
pillar
defined
as
engaging
in
your
community
seeking
opportunities
to
help
others
and
over
overall,
fulfilling
our
service
voluntarily,
all
while
gaining
hours.
It
is
the
satisfaction
of
knowing
you
did
something
to
help
others
and
in
the
process
getting
to
know
your
community
and
service.
F
Although
this
year
was
tough
on
many,
our
members
have
thrived
and
succeeded
in
fulfilling
the
requirement
of
hours
of
service.
I
am
extremely
grateful
and
happy
to
have
experience
being
an
nhs
member
since
my
sophomore
year
and
seeing
each
and
every
one
grow
in
not
only
service,
but
like
make
you
sad
leadership.
We
have
optional
service
whether
it
was
rates
across
america,
operation,
gratitude
and
even
donating
master.
Those
in
need,
like
mentioned
before
it,
has
been
through
the
little
things
that
we
have
grown.
F
F
F
H
C
Hey
everybody.
My
name
is
frank,
garcia
and
I
am
the
hs
treasurer
so
now
the
fourth
and
final
pillar
of
nhs
character.
You
know,
although
everyone
is
like
congratulations,
good
job
everybody,
I'm.
C
I
C
Rice,
so
I
just
want
to
say
start
with
character.
I
would
like
to
say
I
like.
I
C
And
crazy,
but
really
I
mean
growing
up.
Rice
was
a
main
dish
for
benus
each
little
round,
seemingly
hard,
yet
transformative
food
pebble.
Having
so
much
flavor
and
love,
it
seems
to
become
a
love
letter
that
becomes
ingrained
in
us
generation
of
your
generation.
If
you
catch
the
blender
thank
but
seriously,
though,
ultimately
we
as
people
are
each
a
single
grain
of
rice,
the
flavors
being
our
character.
C
C
C
C
C
But
you
know,
for
that
reason
the
pillar
character
will
forever
be
one
of
the
most
vital
and
not
only
nhs.
Yesterday
I
said
the
most
vital.
C
But
the
chelsea
community
as
a
whole.
We
determine
our
outcome.
We
are
the
youth
we
are
in
the
future
period.
Let
us
be
a
nice
good,
tasting
hockey
price.
Thank
you.
I
G
A
A
A
A
A
A
A
A
A
A
A
A
F
I
G
Well,
I
want
to
thank
you
guys,
everyone
for
coming
here
tonight.
It
was
a
bit
different
than
we
expected
with
what's
happening,
that's
going
to
be
a
lot,
but
thank
you
for.
G
For
striving
for
this
in
person,
you
know
this
group
of
nhs
member
has
been
extraordinary.
I
am
extremely
you
know,
proud
and
honored
to
be
the
president
of
this
group.
I
promise
I
actually
was
gonna
say
this,
but
I
truly
believe
that
this
is
one
of
the
best
nhs
groups
that
chs
has
seen
in
years.
