From YouTube: ILP Awards Ceremony 2023
Description
City of Chelsea
A
To
the
34th
IOP
awards
ceremony,
we
have
not
had
an
award
ceremony,
I
think
maybe
since
2019,
because
of
the
pandemic
So
today,
we're
here
yeah
so
welcome
everybody
I'm
happy
that
all
of
you
are
here.
My
name
is
Fallon
I.
Think
many
of
you
know
me.
Some
of
you
have
never
seen
me
before,
but
I
send
you
messages
on
remind
so
you
know
my
name.
My
name
is
Fallon
I'm,
the
director
of
the
program,
and
today
we
have
students.
So
we
have
Learners.
A
We
have
teachers,
we
have
tutors,
we
have
assistants,
we've
got
security,
we
have
everyone
who
makes
the
IOP
possible
here
and
I
want
to
say.
Thank
you
all
for
coming.
So
before
we
start
I'm
going
to
introduce
RMC
for
the
evening.
Marco
Marco
is
a
graduating
tutor
and
he's
been
with
the
ILP
for
three
years.
So
Marco.
B
Good
afternoon,
everyone,
as
Fallon
said
my
name-
is
Marco
I've
been
tutoring
at
the
ILP
for
three
years
and
we're
here
for
the
34th
anniversary
or
the
34th
celebration,
and
this
year
has
been
quite
an
exciting
year
for
the
ILP
and
I
just
wanted
to
shout
out
the
Chelsea
Public
Schools
and
the
Department
of
Education,
for
they
have
made
it
possible
for
this
semester
to
have
18
classes,
both
online
and
in
person.
So
give
it
around
give
a
round
of
applause.
For
that.
B
Now
it
is
a
great
honor
to
bring
up
our
guest
speaker
to
the
stage
Selvin
Morales
was
a
former
ILP
learner.
He
enrolled
in
the
ILP
in
2019
and
passed
his
hiset
exam
within
just
three
months,
where
he
then
started
taking
Esau
1
and
just
within
a
year,
was
able
to
rise
to
Esau
3..
After
he
finished
Esau
3
he
ended
up
becoming
a
tutor
in
the
Esau
classes.
So
please
give
a
warm
welcome
for
Selvin
Morales.
C
C
I
came
to
the
USA
in
2019
after
my
second
week
of
being
Chelsea
I
enrolled
the
IOP
program,
because
I
wanted
to
finish
the
high
school,
but
by
the
time
I
was
working
as
all
immigrants
do
when
we
first
get
hit,
so
I
didn't
have
the
time
to
be
a
full-time
student.
C
C
C
When,
sometimes,
we
have
more
things
to
be
worried
about
like
send
money
to
our
country
for
our
family
money
that
we
might
owe
or
ourselves
in
a
new
country,
but
as
long
as
we
don't
give
up
and
put
effort
on
it,
we
are
able
to
make
it
I
just
want
to
say
thanks
to
every
teacher
that
used
to
be,
they
used
to
work
with
IOP
back
then
and
to
the
teachers
that
worked
for
the
IOP
now
say
thanks
to
miss
Phelan.
C
Who
has
helped
me
a
lot
since
I
since,
since
she
became
the
director
of
the
program
and
say
thanks
for
inviting
me
this
evening
and
I
know
she's
not
with
IOP
no
more
but
I'd
like
to
say
thanks
to
Miss
Barbara
Sinclair
as
well,
who
used
to
be
the
director
when
I
started.
Thank
you
and
you
all
have
a
good
night.
B
Thank
you,
Selvin
very
good
speech.
I
wanted
to
touch
on
a
couple
things
that
salvin
said.
Obviously,
learning
English
is
very
hard
and
here
at
the
ILP,
our
teachers
and
staff
and
tutors.
B
We
all
just
want
to
thank
you
guys
for
sticking
with
us
and
really
for
trying
your
hardest
throughout
this
entire
thing,
because
obviously,
as
I
said,
it
is
very
hard
and
challenging
at
times,
but
you
know
you
keep
trying
and
eventually
English
will
become
a
second
nature
just
like
it
is
for
all
of
us
and
now
it's
time
to
hear
some
speeches
from
the
Learners
in
the
classes.
So
each
class
will
have
one
learner
to
come
up
and
read
a
speech
and
all
the
speeches
are
actually
inside
the
programs
right
here.
B
D
Good
evening
everybody
I
have
personally
I,
have
personally
I
learned
to
thanks
everyone
iot
for
their
passion
and
time.
They
are
spent
with
us,
Latin
model
and
father
and
who
have
arrived
in
this
country,
so
find
full
day
dream
and
they
follow
a
weather
like
all
opportunity.
Oh
we
have
all
my
family
later
is
morning.
Class
I
would
like
to
thank
manyola
and
Sarah
for
teaching
English
Ash
English.
E
A
Good
evening,
everyone
I'm
honored
to
represent
my
morning
class
in
this
country.
We
know
how
important
is
to
understand.
English
Chelsea
Massachusetts
is
an
area
where,
where
many
people
live
and
where
there
are
many
programs
that
help
the
community
like
the
ilt
I
won't,
we
sometimes
have
disadvantages,
because
we
have
to
juggle
our
time
with
our
demons
we
make
sacrifice,
but
we
still
want
to
improve
our
English.
We
are
thankful
and
happy.
We
are
beautiful
class
we
share
as
a
family.
A
We
feel
that
our
English
has
improved
we'll
do
our
best
and
each
class
to
learn
more
every
day
to
develop
ourselves,
to
complete
our
goals
and
to
help
others.
The
iot
helps
us
not
only
with
our
English
class,
but
also
to
find
jobs
and
to
progress
our
careers
for
everything
and
each
person
who
make
this
possible.
We
always
be
grateful.
Thank
you.

G
G
The
online
classes
make
it
easy
for
some
to
a
student
because
there
has
children
at
home
and
can
take
care
of
their
family
and
story.
English
the
rlp
giving
us
this
opportunities
to
change
our
lives
is

or
realize
the
American
Dreams,
but
herpes
immigrants
to
improve
their
English
for
free
Omari
worked
hard
with
us
to
tease
use
a
new
vocabulary.
G
H
B
Right
so
this
is
Valentina
and
Carmen
coming
up
for
the
Abe
Esau
one.
I
J
Welcome
everyone
we
are
coming
in
Valentina,
we
are
Learners
from
his
old
one.
We
feel
blessed
to
have
wonderful
teacher
in
tutor
at
the
school.
I
have
learned
many
goals
that
help
me
express
myself
better
when
I
feel
started
class
at
the
a
I

O
Teachers
are
great
and
very
helpful
in
the
IOP
this
year
we
learned
about
many
things.
For
example,
we
talk
about
self-applicates,
The
History
of
the
United
States
vocabulary
met
in
the
news.
We
read
a
book
as
a
class
called
The
House
on
Mango
Street.
We
learned
about
Civics,
which
helped
some
of
us
prepare
for
the
citizens
test.
O
O
The
online
class
are
convenient
for
learnings,
especially
in
the
winter.
We
have
fun
playing
games
in
teams
when
rewarding
the
units.
We
want
to
say
thank
you
to
all
of
the
people
who
make
the
ILP
possible
and
we
hope
that
even
more
people
can
have
this
opportunity
to
learn.
Last
but
not
least,
we
would
like
to
thank
you,
our
teacher,
Kate
and
Miss
faisa
for
all
the
help
and
passion
with
the
students
and
every
teacher
that
can
be
the
possible
this
program.
Thank
you.
So
much.
P
Thank
you
good
evening.
Everybody,
my
name
is

Sarah
I
am
also
in

the
ESO

at
the
IRT
as
I
started
this
program
for
many
years.
I,
don't
have
to
say
for
about
seven
years,
because
before
I
did
the
class
for
the
high
set
and
I'm
ready
and
I
get
my
diploma
I
I
enjoy
coming
there.
Okay.
P
P
In
vocabulary,
math
in
the
news
will
write
about
art
class,
called
the
house
of
Mango
Street
we're
learning
about
Civic,
which
helps
some
author
prepare
for
citizenship
tests.
We
also
improve
to
our
pronunciation,
breathing
and
writing
skill.
P
P
Opportunities
to
online
classes
are
convenience
for
Learners,
especially
in
the
winter.
We
have
fun
playing
games
in
terms
when
reviewing
the
unit.
We
want
to
say
thank
you
to
to
all
to
people
who
make
the
ILP
possible
and
hope
that
even
more
people
can
be
this
opportunity
to
learn
less
about
not
to
that
less
with
blue
light
to
10.
P
Thank
you,
our
teachers,
okay
and
Mr
fashion
for
all
their
help
and
passion
with
the
students.
Thank
you.

The

literacy
class
I
feel
very
happy
to
be
here.
Sharing
this
with
you,
we
are.
We
are
here
at
the
iirp
to
learn
it
to
communicate
in
English
and
to
make
or
live
better
day.
Irb
is
a
very
good
program.
Our
favorite
part
of
the
ILP
are
learning
the
language
sharing
with
all
classmates
hang
happy
and
having
the
best
teacher,
we
are
thank
you
Paul
for
the
patience
and
dedication
that
the
IRB
has
with
who
has
entered
care
for
our
children.
Q
B
Very
well
said:
Luis,
thank
you,
and
can
we
just
have
one
more
big
round
of
applause
for
all
of
the
speakers
that
were
so
brave
to
come
up
here
and
talk
about
us?
Thank
you.
A
So
the
first
class-
that's
gonna,
come
on
stage
to
get
their
speeches.
It's
gonna
be
family
literacy,
one
with
Manola,
so
you
can
Manila.
You
can
come
on
up
and
then
I'll
call
the
Learners
names.
A
Okay,
whatever
I
see
for
M1,
we
have
Evangelina
Amaya,
okay,
Evangelina.
A
A
A
A
A
A
A

A
A
A
A
A
A
A
Can
we
give
an
extra
hand
of
Applause
to
see
these
three
they've
passed
their
high
school
equivalency
exam
good
job.
A
That
concludes
Awards,
not
that
we're
ceremony
just
Awards
the
certificates,
I'm
gonna,
have
Marco
come
back
on
stage
for
the
next
part
of
our
ceremony
with
the
children.
B
B
While
we're
waiting
for
all
of
the
the
kids
to
get
up
here,
I
just
wanted
to
say
thank
you
all
so
much
for
a
coming
here
and
B,
just
being
amazing
that
being
tutors
teachers,
staff
and
especially
the
Learners.
This
is
my
last
shift
at
the
ILP
and
I
just
wanted
to
extend
a
heartfelt
gratitude
to
all
of
you
guys.
It's
really
been
a
fun
ride
and
thank
you
all
so
much
for
for
being
such
an
important
part
of
my
life.
Thank
you.
R
All
right,
so
this
is
the
the
senior
kids
and
a
few
of
the
kids
wanted
to
say
something
to
their
parents.
So
the
first
person
is
going
to
surprise
dinner
and.
H
H
R
I'm
going
last
so
I'll
be
at
the
IOP
for
a
while
and
I
love
children,
but
I
don't
have
any
of
my
own.
So
I
want
to
thank
you
so
much
for
letting
me
care
for
your
children
and
love
them
and
let
them
put
love
in
my
life
when
I
feel
lonely.
Thank
you.
R
B
I
just
want
to
also
give
a
special
shout
out
to
Carmen
and
Jose
for
watching
over
the
children.
While
adults
are
a
class,
it's
a
very
difficult
job
and
they
are
doing
a
fantastic
one.
At
that
and
now,
for
the
moment,
we've
all
been
waiting
for
the
junior
children's
class
is
going
to
sing
a
song,
and
the
lyrics
to
the
song
are
in
the
back
of
the
program,
enjoy
the
show.
