From YouTube: Coronavirus Update 2-3-21
Description
City of Chelsea
A
Working
in
close
partnership
with
the
east
boston,
neighborhood,
health
center
and
la
collaborativa,
the
city
is
opening
its
own
vaccination
site,
starting
tomorrow,
thursday
february
4th
the
site
will
be
operated
by
east
boston,
neighborhood
health
center
and
located
at
la
collaboratives
headquarters
at
318
broadway.
Next
to
the
post
office
vaccinations
there
will
be
by
appointment.
Only
no
walk-ins
will
be
allowed.
A
Initially,
only
chelsea
residents,
ages,
75
or
older
are
eligible
to
receive
the
vaccine
and
can
start
scheduling
appointments
at
this
site.
This
is
a
requirement
of
the
state's
vaccine
plan.
It
is
not
something
that
the
city
of
chelsea
can
change.
If
you
are
age,
75
or
older
and
eligible
for
the
vaccine.
The
next
step
is
to
make
an
appointment.
B
A
The
state
will
very
soon
be
operating
a
call
center
to
help
with
this
vaccination
issue.
As
soon
as
that
call
center
number
is
operational,
which
should
be
very
soon.
The
city
will
provide
you
the
number
in
the
meantime,
you
can
always
call
the
city's
own
helpline
at
311
or
617-466-4209
for
assistance.
A
If
you
are
a
senior
citizen
and
need
a
ride
to
a
vaccination
site
after
you
have
made
an
appointment,
mystic
valley,
elder
services
is
offering
free
transportation
to
sites
in
this
area.
You
must
be
60
years
of
age
or
older
and
already
have
a
scheduled
appointment,
but
mystic
valley
will
not
provide
transportation
to
fenway
park
or
gillette
stadium.
B
A
A
Now,
in
addition
to
the
vaccination
site
at
la
collaborativa,
on
broadway,
operated
by
east
boston,
neighborhood
health
center
beth,
israel
is
operating
its
own
separate
clinic
at
1100,
revere
beach,
parkway
next
to
home
depot
in
the
parkway
plaza
shopping
center.
That
vaccination
site
also
opens
tomorrow
february
4th.
However,
unlike
the
site
on
broadway,
which
is
open
to
all
chelsea
residents,
the
beth
israel
site
is
open
only
to
beth
israel.
Patients,
if
you
are
a
beth
israel,
patient
and
want
information
about
that
site,
call
the
beth
israel
call
center
at.
B
B
A
The
city
does
anticipate
at
some
point
soon.
Mass
general
hospital
will
also
be
doing
vaccinations
in
the
city
for
its
patients
likely
at
the
same
location
as
bethesda
next
to
home
depot.
The
city
will
provide
you
with
details
of
the
mass
general
vaccination
site
as
soon
as
that
becomes
available,
and,
finally,
the
walgreens
at
1010
broadway
chelsea
near
the
revere
line,
is
also
offering
vaccine
appointments
to
chelsea
residents.
However,
the
only
way
you
can
access
appointments
for
vaccinations
at
that
walgreens
store
is
by
going
online
to
walgreens.com.
A
A
We
have
free
indoor
testing
seven
days
a
week
at
emiliana
fiesta
building
at
35
4th
street
the
hours
for
that
free
testing
are
monday
tuesdays
and
thursdays
2
to
6
wednesdays
and
fridays,
10
to
6
saturdays
and
sundays,
11
to
5.
for
the
next
few
weeks.
There
will
also
be
pop-up
testing
available
on
tuesdays
at
2
on
6th
street
at
the
food
pantry
operated
there
by
la
collaborativa.
A
B
B
A
A
A
The
first
round
was
available
to
homeowners,
who
earn
no
more
than
80
percent
of
area
median
income
that
application
period
is
closed.
The
lottery
for
that
first
round
will
be
held
tomorrow,
night
february,
4th
at
5
pm
and
will
be
on
facebook.
Live
applicants
should
have
already
received
their
lottery
number
for
that
lottery
in
the
mail.
If,
for
some
reason
you
have
not
received
the
lottery
number
and
you
were
selected
in
that-
and
you
applied
for
that
lottery
call
311
or
617-466-4209,
and
you
will
get
your
lottery
number
for
tomorrow
night's
lottery
now
remember.
A
There
will
be
a
second
round
to
this
program
that
second
round
has
been
funded.
Already
by
the
city
council,
with
an
appropriation
of
seven
hundred
and
fifty
thousand
dollars
that
second
round
will
have
expanded
eligibility,
it
will
be
available
to
homeowners
who
earn
up
to
100
percent
of
area
median
income.
The
application
period
for
the
second
round
has
not
yet
opened.
We
will
have
more
information
about
applying
for
the
second
round
of
homeowners
assistance
in
the
very
near
future.
A
A
A
Let
me
conclude
with
this
with
vaccines
finally
available
here
in
chelsea.
There
is
certainly
some
light
at
the
end
of
this
pandemic
tunnel,
but
until
the
vast
majority
of
chelsea
residents
are
actually
vaccinated,
which
will
likely
not
be
completed
for
several
more
months,
we
must
all
stay
vigilant
to
keep
the
community
safe.
A
That
means
continuing
the
safe
practices
that
have
helped
us
so
far
survive
this
pandemic
wearing
face
mask
keeping
physical
distancing
from
others,
avoiding
large
crowds,
washing
your
hands
regularly
and
getting
tested.
Frequently.
If
we
continue
to
take
these
very
simple
steps,
we
can
keep
ourselves
our
loved
ones
and
our
community
healthy.
