Description
City of Chelsea, Update by City Manager

A
A
You
do
have
to
be
patient
patient
about
getting
an
appointment.
It
will
take
some
time,
but
please
keep
trying.
The
good
news
is
that
there
are
vaccines
available
right
here
in
the
city
of
chelsea,
east
boston,
neighborhood
health
center
is
operating
a
vaccination
site
at
the
la
collaborativa
headquarters
at
318.
Broadway
they've
also
opened
a
brand
new
location
at
the
wonderland
ballroom.
In
revere
on
the
blue
line,
you
can
get
an
appointment
at
either
location
by
calling
east
boston
neighborhood
health
center
at
617-568-4870.
A
That
telephone
number
operates
during
normal
business
hours.
But
again
you
will
need
to
be
patient
as
vaccine
supply
remains
limited,
both
mgh
and
beth.
Israel
are
also
vaccinating
their
own
patients
at
locations
right
here
in
chelsea.
So
if
you're
a
patient
at
either
of
those
facilities,
mgh
at
everett,
avenue
beth
israel
on
broadway,
you
will
be
contacted
directly
by
them
in
the
near
future.
For
an
appointment,
the
city
of
chelsea
itself
is
also
doing
its
own
vaccinations.
A
But
for
the
moment
we
are
focusing
on
two
specific
groups:
those
in
senior
housing
and
those
who
are
homebound
residents
residents
who
cannot
get
out
to
go
to
a
vaccination
site
now,
hopefully
soon,
perhaps
by
the
early
part
of
may,
the
city
will
be
able
to
arrange
some
pop-up
vaccination
sites
at
employer
locations
or
in
different
neighborhoods
around
the
city,
similar
to
how
we
were
able
to
provide
testing
for
colbig.
Once
we
got
to
late
summer
early
fall,
we
should
have
more
information
about
that
in
the
near
future.
A
A
Nevertheless,
if
you
do
pre-register,
you
only
need
to
apply
once
you'll
then
be
notified
by
the
state
when
a
vaccine
appointment
becomes
available
at
one
of
these
large
state
centers.
So
for
those
interested
information
about
how
to
pre-register
for
a
vaccine
at
the
state
lodge
sites
is
available
on
our
website.
B
B
A
Now,
in
addition
to
the
vaccines,
testing
for
covid
remains
available
in
the
city,
and
we
encourage
all
residents
who
haven't
yet
been
fully
vaccinated
to
get
tested
on
a
regular
basis.
Remember
up
to
40
percent
of
individuals
who
have
covert
have
no
symptoms
at
all.
The
only
way
to
know
that
you're
infected
is
to
get
regularly
tested
and
with
no
symptoms
you
can
and
will
infect
others.
A
So
the
city
still
has
its
free
indoor
testing
available
seven
days
a
week
at
the
emiliana
fiesta
building
at
35
4th
street
the
hours
for
that
free
testing
are
monday
through
friday,
2
to
6
saturday
and
sunday
11
to
5.
for
at
least
the
next
few
weeks.
There
will
be
a
pop-up
testing
site
on
tuesdays
in
the
afternoon
in
bellingham
square,
and
if
you
drive,
you
can
utilize
the
drive-in
testing
site
at
beth,
israel
at
1000,
broadway
next
to
the
walgreens
store.
That
site
is
open,
weekdays
nine
to
five
and
saturday
nine.
A
To
two
now
at
some
point,
the
city
does
expect
to
relocate
covert
testing
in
front
of
city
hall,
as
we
had
for
most
of
the
latter
part
of
last
year
and
have
that
testing,
in
effect,
at
least
through
june
30th,
so
stay
tuned
for
more
information
on
that.
We
hope
to
have
that
in
place.
No
later
than
may,
the
first.
A
Now,
as
of
today
march,
the
22nd
the
state
started
its
phase
four,
its
final
phase
of
its
reopening
plan,
and
there
are
some
relaxed
rules
on
gatherings
in
public
settings.
So
as
of
today,
indoor
public
settings
have
increased
gathering
limits
to
100
and
outdoor
gatherings
in
public
settings
have
increased
to
150
persons,
but
this
is
very
important.
The
gathering
limits
on
private
property
have
not
changed
so
you're
still
limited
to
a
maximum
of
10
people
indoors
in
private
locations
such
as
your
own
home
and
25
at
private
outdoor
locations,
such
as
your
backyard.
A
Now
this
is
very
important
with
the
easter
holiday
coming
up
to
be
to
remind
you
of
these
gathering
limits,
I
urge
you
not
to
ease
up
now,
while
the
vaccines
are
here,
it's
still
important
for
us
to
stay
safe,
especially
during
the
easter
holiday
season,
so
until
large
numbers
of
our
community
are
fully
vaccinated.
Please
remain
vigilant.
A
Finally,
the
city
recognizes
that
our
housing
crisis
is
continuing
and
that
many
homeowners
are
having
trouble
paying
bills
and
many
tenants
are
still
struggling
with
rent
payments.
This
is
just
a
reminder
that
the
city
does
have
legal
assistance
available
to
you
if
you're
having
a
difficult
time
making
a
mortgage
payment
or,
if
you're,
threatened
with
eviction,
please
contact
our
chelsea
housing
legal
clinic
by
calling.
A
A
That
means
continuing
the
practices
that
have
helped
us
so
far
survived
the
pandemic,
especially
during
this
upcoming
easter
holiday,
including
wearing
face
coverings,
keeping
physical
distancing
from
others,
avoiding
large
gatherings,
even
large
gatherings,
with
families
over
the
holiday,
washing
your
hands
regularly
and
getting
tested.
Frequently.
