resources

often

a
life-changing
impact.
One
great
example
of
this
is
the
library
citizenship
program
in
partnership
with
The
Literacy
Council
of
upper
Pinellas.

Clearwater
East
community
library
has
offered
our
citizenship
program
since
2012.
this
program
was
created
to
help
patrons
prepare
for
the
U.S
naturalization
interview
and
test,
in
addition
to
weekly
classes
focusing
on
U.S
history
and
government.
Students
of
this
program
are
also
given
Civic,
Splash
cards,
workbooks
and
opportunities
to
practice,
reading
and
writing
skills.

of
the
MSB

where

operate
out
of

hall
and

much
larger
Civic
Center,

we
would
repurpose
the
MSB
and
that
would
be
constructed
on
the
lot
just
south

overall
Concepts

necessarily
the
Aesthetics,
because

work
on
that
moving

of

expanded

votes,

we're
preparing
to
Advocate

on
behalf

this
to
you
tonight
to
your
attention.

that
we're
going
to
be
doing
that
we

keep
you
updated
on
how
that
reinforcement
goes.

discussion

Tarpon
is
pushing
they're
a
shared
vote
and
you
know
the
representation
is
based
on
the
percentage
of
population
that
each
city
has,

St
Pete

the
biggest,
but
you
know
Clearwater's
second
biggest,
we
have
one
representative
and
we
really
should
have
two
based
on
our
population.
So
I
think
it's
a
good
thing
going
forward
and
I'm
glad
the
city's
in
the
back
of
that
we'll
we'll.

the
tape
and
I
wanted
to
really
absorb
what
everybody
was
saying

so

a
council
member

were
talking
about
the
fact
that
we've
been
discussing
this

almost

three
decades

some
of
the
former
Charter
review
board
members
and
they
agreed
that
they've
been
talking
for
so
long
and
so
I
I
agree
with
that.

intention

adding
more
diversity

council,
but
I
would
like
a
more
holistic
approach.
So,
if
we're
going
to
talk,
numbers

salary
I'd
also
like

districts

runs
because
I
certainly
am
a
huge
champion
of
having
diversity
on
the
council,
but
I,
don't
think
in
doing
it
just
in
isolation
with
a
salary

prefer
and

would
advocate,

at
it
more
holistically.

are
we
really
going
to
achieve
that?

at
those
two

honor

fact
that
we
did
direct

increases

the
three

came

my
mind.

option
would
be
to
tie
it
to
a
particular
index
such
as
the
Consumer
Price
Index.

two

a
fixed

the
ordinance,
so
it
would
increase
by

percentage
each
year
and
option

three

may
be
other
configurations

but
in

ordinance

Council
