A
And
thank
an
incredibly
special
group
of
people
for
being
in
attendance
with
us
today.
This
group
knows
all
too
well
the
meaning
and
significance
behind
moments
like
this
words
like
sacrifice
and
honor
are
just
a
little
bit
more
real
to
them,
because
they
have
felt
the
grief,
the
sorrow
and
pain
of
losing
one
of
their
own.
A
Not
only
did
their
officers
sacrifice
all
for
this
city
and
nation,
but
they
too
sacrifice
for
us
and
understand
the
realities
of
this
sacrifice
more
than
anyone
else.
I
am,
of
course,
speaking
of
the
family
of
our
very
own
fallen
clearwater
police
officers,
who
are
sitting
down
front
today.
We
owe
them
a
debt
of
gratitude.
So
would
you
please
welcome
them
with
me.
A
I'd
also
like
to
take
a
moment
and
welcome
or
offer
welcome
from
a
couple
of
key
people
who
can't
be
in
attendance
with
us
today
from
the
city
manager's
office.
Mr
john
jennings
offers
his
welcome
as
well
as
the
mayor.
Mr
frank,
hibbert
couldn't
be
here
with
us.
Also
chief
daniel
slaughter,
unfortunately,
is
a
little
ill
this
morning,
so
he
is
not
able
to
be
with
us,
but
he
welcomes
you
as
well.
A
B
A
A
A
A
A
E
E
Good
morning
everybody
I'm
deputy
chief,
michael
wallach
of
the
clearwater
police
department.
Thank
you
for
being
here
with
us
this
morning.
Chief
slaughter
could
not
be
here
with
us
today.
He
wanted
me
to
extend
his
regards
to
the
family
of
our
fallen
officers,
we're
here
today
to
pay
tribute
to
our
four
heroes:
four
men
who
gave
their
lives
to
serve
others.
E
E
E
E
E
F
F
As
I
was
driving
in,
you
know
what
what
could
we
talk
about
at
this
memorial?
How
can
we
honor
the
families
of
the
four
men
who
gave
their
lives
to
protect
the
city
of
clearwater,
and
it
occurred
to
me
that
there's
probably
no
words
that
can
give
comfort
to
a
family
no
matter
how
long
ago
someone
has
passed
away
and,
although
I
didn't
know
any
of
the
four
individuals
who
sacrificed
for
the
city
of
clearwater,
I
hope
you'll.
F
F
There's
another
one
matthew,
5
9
blessed
are
the
peacemakers,
for
they
will
be
the
children
of
god,
and
perhaps
this
is
mostly
for
the
men
and
women
who
are
here
and
going
to
probably
leave
today
and
go
back
to
work,
but
that
one
always
sticks
with
me.
In
particular,
in
my
faith,
we
call
our
savior
the
prince
of
peace.
F
F
Didn't
have
a
verse,
for
maybe
maybe
there
is
one
the
chaplain
will
tell
me
after
I'm
sure,
but
that's
that
the
individuals
who
have
worn
the
uniform
and
are
wearing
it
today
are
our
promise
keepers
they're.
Our
promise
keepers
see
I've
said
this
often
because
I
I've
had
the
privilege-
and
there
are
hard
days
right
of
being
in
law
making,
but.
F
If
we
do
not
protect
people
in
our
community,
that's
the
only
reason
the
city
of
clearwater
or
the
state
of
florida
or
the
united
states
of
america.
That's
why
I
was
in
part
created
right,
because
we
believe
in
this
fundamental
idea
of
liberty
and
freedom,
and
the
thing
is:
we
need
people
to
enforce
those
ideas,
they're
they're,
just
words
on
paper.
B
F
They
don't
show
up
and
ask
them
what
their
political
affiliation
is
or
whether
they
went
to
church
on
sunday
or
what
kind
of
person
they've
been
or
anything
about
them.
Just
what
happened
and
how
do
I
help
they're
the
individuals
who
keep
the
promises
that
make
our
country
and
our
community
mean
something.
F
F
B
F
F
Different
things,
but
if
we
remember
what
we're
capable
of
and
what
individuals
are
willing
to
do
for
us,
even
though
they
don't
know
us,
how
does
that
change
us?
The
chaplain
came
up
here
and
I
I
loved
what
you
said,
which
is,
I
hope
you
know
in
his
prayer.
He
said
god.
I
hope
you
changed
us.
I
hope
today
use
this
as
an
opportunity
to
change
us
days
like
today.
Change
us.
F
They
change
us,
because
we
remember
that
all
of
those
other
things
are
just
noise.
It's
just
noise,
and
sometimes
it
gets
us
angry,
and
sometimes
it
gets
us
sad,
but
it
shouldn't
change
us
days
like
today
should
change
us,
because
we
remember
what
we
are
capable
of
and
that
there
are
individuals
who
walk
among
us
who
sometimes
we
wouldn't
think,
wouldn't
look
twice
out
if
we
walked
past
them
in
the
supermarket,
but
they're
willing
to
give
their
life
for
you
for
your
family,
so
that.
F
You
know
I
grew
up
on
cop
stories.
You
know
my
dad
would
take
me
to
school
in
the
morning
and
then
he
would
my
mom
would
pick
me
up,
but
on
the
way
to
school.
We
had
this
this
time
it
felt
like
two
hours.
It
was
probably
20
minutes,
but
I
would
get
all
these
stories
about
him
working
in
the
city
of
new
york
and
going
on
calls
and
as
a
young
as
a
young
boy.
F
I
learned
something
along
the
way
about
honor,
about
duty,
about
sacrifice
about
the
opportunities
that
you
have
to
help
people
that
you've
never
met
or
to
give
voices
to
people
who
don't
have
a
voice
or
to
defend
the
helpless,
and
also
that
the
greatest
things
that
we
will
do
in
this
life,
the
greatest
things
your
family
members
did
the
greatest
things
that
those
individuals
behind
us
in
uniform
will
do.
None
of
us
will
ever
read
about
none.
F
F
This
farmer
is
walking
down
the
road
and
he
sees
an
elderly
gentleman
and
he's
planting
a
fruit
tree.
He
asked
him,
you
know
what
is
he
doing?
What's
he's
planting
and
he
tells
him
what
kind
of
fruit
tree
he's
planting
and
the
young
farmer
says
to
the
old
farmer.
You
know
that
takes
that
plant
takes
70
years
to.
F
B
F
Tree
to
bear
fruit,
the
old
farmer
kind
of
shrugs
it
off
and
says
you
know
I
I
know
that.
But
when
I
was
a
little
boy,
I
ran
up
and
down
in
these
orchards,
and
I
played-
and
I
enjoyed
the
shade
that
is
provided
by
these
fruit
trees.
And
I
want
years
from
now
for
young
boys
and
young
girls
to
run
around
in
this
orchard
and
to
enjoy
the
shade
of
the
fruit
tree.
A
A
Now
we
begin
our
final
roll
call
in
the
past
12
months.
It
has
proven
to
be
just
as
perilous
for
us
as
police
officers
as
the
previous.
During
this
time,
151
police
officers
have
fallen
in
the
line
of
duty
across
our
great
country
together.
Let
us
remember
now
the
151
warriors,
who
gave
the
ultimate
sacrifice
throughout
the
united
states
and
in
doing
so
let
us
specifically
remember
the
six
heroes
who
gave
their
lives
in
service
to
the
sunshine
state.
A
A
We've
been
extremely
fortunate
here
at
the
clearwater
police
department,
in
that
we
have
not
lost
an
officer
in
the
line
of
duty
in
over
40
years,
but
after
losing
151
officers
nationwide
in
the
past
12
months
and
six
in
the
state
of
florida
and
even
a
few
within
an
hour's
drive
of
this
very
park
and
also
in
light
of
the
four
we
have
lost
in
our
great
cities.
History,
we
all
realize
just
how
dangerous
our
profession
has
become
and
really
how
dangerous
it
has
always
been.
D
A
In
remembrance
of
the
centuries-old
tradition
dating
back
to
the
time
of
genghis
khan
as
his
way
of
remembering
his
own
fallen
warriors,
who
ride
with
him
no
more,
which
has
been
accustomed
to
police
line
of
duty
deaths
and
military
death
ceremonies?
We
now
present
saint
petersburg
police
officer,
carrie
landis
and
her
riderless
force
brooklyn
in
remembrance
of
our
fallen.
A
A
A
A
A
G
D
D
A
I
don't
know
about
the
rest
of
you,
but
I
can
always
hold
it
together,
pretty
good
until
the
pipes
start
playing
and
then
the
pipes
get
me
good,
speaker
sprouse,
I
don't
know
if
you
meant
to
do
this.
You
definitely
didn't
do
this
because
I
didn't
tell
you,
I
was
gonna.
Read
those
verses,
but
my
favorite
verses
on
days
like
today
are
john
15
13..
A
It
says
greater
love
has
no
man
than
this
than
to
lay
down
his
life
for
his
friends
on
days
like
today,
love
has
a
special
meaning,
a
more
significant
meaning
in
this
verse.
It
says
that
greater
love
has
no
man
to
this
than
to
lay
down
his
life
for
his
friends.
Well,
what
jesus
was
talking
about
how
he
was
going
to
lay
down
his
life
for
his
friends,
but
what
jesus
also
did
was
he
he
laid
down
his
life
for
his
enemies.
A
That's
you
or
me
would
scarcely
die
for
a
righteous
person,
though
perhaps
for
a
good
person,
perhaps
for
a
friend,
one
would
dare
even
to
die,
but
this
sacrifice
that
our
officers
gave
for
us
takes
on
this
next,
meaning
it's
the
same,
love
that
god
shows
for
us
and
that
god
shows
his
love
for
us
and
that
while
we
were
still
sinners,
christ
died
for
us
see,
speaker
sproules
was
correct.
We
don't
know
who
we're
going
to.
A
B
A
This
country,
these
people,
sitting
next
to
you,
these
people
out
in
the
community,
our
people,
what
we
stand
for
freedom,
justice,
mercy,
they're
still
worth
dying,
for
we
can
take
a
lesson
from
these
four
men
and
again
I
will
say
thank
you
from
the
bottom
of
our
hearts.
Thank
you
bow
your
heads
with
me,
dear
heavenly,
father
again,
we
echo
that
we
say
thank
you
to
you
to
whom
these
men's
death
point.
A
The
sacrifice
that
you
gave
for
us
on
the
cross
was
undeserved
god.
I
pray
that
we
would
think
about
that
that
we
would
leave
here,
focusing
on
the
sacrifice
that
we've
gotten
a
picture
of
that
we
have
a
living
illustration
of
through
these
four
men
and
the
rest
of
the
heroes
across
our
country
who
have
laid
down
their
lives
that
we
would
leave
here
contemplating
that
and
leave
rejoicing
and
praising
you
for
what
you've
done
for
us.
A
D
A
A
Again,
I'd
like
to
take
a
moment
and
thank
all
of
our
distinguished
guests
and
thank
you
all
to
the
citizens
of
clearwater
who
showed
out
today
to
support
not
only
the
families
of
our
fallen
officers,
but
our
fallen
officers
themselves
and,
most
importantly,
I
want
to
thank
the
family
one
more
time.
Thank
you
so
much
for
being
here,
may
god
bless
you
and
keep
you
safe.
