From YouTube: Clearwater Sidewalks Get a Facelift
Description
A major effort is under way in the city of Clearwater to repair hundreds of sidewalk issues that have been identified along the city's 365-mile network. Senior Engineering Specialist David Ojeda tells us why that’s great news for everyone who uses sidewalks to get around the city.
A
This
year's
been
a
little
bit
different
because
we
have
a
directive
from
a
city
manager
to
generally
improve
all
the
condition
and
make
sure
that
our
sidewalk
infrastructure
is
safe
and
I
take
care
of
about
200
locations
that
have
been
reported
to
have
some
kind
of
trip.
Hazard
or
broken
car
broken
sidewalk.
We
completed
about
80
of
those
locations.
A
We
are
starting
to
work
on
phase
two
of
that
list,
with
it's
going
to
involve
removing
some
trees,
so
that's
a
little
bit
more
challenging,
but
that
is
our
next
immediate
goal,
but
we
have
you
know
high
hopes
that
this
is
going
to
be
the
most
efficient
way
to
achieve
again.
The
city
manager
goal
to
have
a
a
city
that
is
accessible
to
our
residents.
