Hello, my name is javon, graham I'm. The division chief of emergency management for the city of clearwater hurricane season begins june 1st, we're here to remind you that now is the time to prepare here's what you need to know during the storm.

If you decide to stay home throughout the storm, you need to make sure you have a weather, radio, a flashlight batteries and food to sustain you for at least 72 hours. If you're going to shelter in place throughout the storm, you need to make sure you have a safe haven within your home. The most ideal location is away from windows, weather radio can let you know when the storm is officially passed and also gives reports from the local agencies on when it's safe to go outside during the storm.

As the winds increase, it's important to stay inside and do not attempt to re-secure anything that may come loose, make a kit. Have a plan stay informed for more information visit, myclearwater.com.
