The
berry
lacks
flavor,
but
can
be
made
into
a
jelly.
Some
people
have
complained
about
stomach
trouble
after
eating
them
raw.
It's
best
not
to
try
it.
The
vibrant
purple.
Berries
can
be
seen
almost
year
round
and
from
mid-spring
to
mid-summer,
lavender,
flowers,
bloom.

useful
when
crushed

the
leaves
are
released.

as
a
mosquito
repellent
farmers
in
the
early
20th
century
would
place.

to
protect
them
from
mosquitoes
native
americans
would
use
all
parts
of
the
plants
for
medicine
to
treat
fevers,
stomachaches
and
dysentery.
