Our bat house was installed by an eagle scout troop as part of an eagle scout project. At the time of the making of this video we are still hoping bats will move in, but have seen no activity. Yet we know bats are in the area, as we've seen them at dusk and have even listened to them using specialized electronic listening devices designed to pick up their sounds.

The spot is ideal, it's placed in an area that is open, close to water and a food source, and it's relatively quiet too. There are 13 different kinds of bats living in florida, so hopefully someone will move in shortly, along with several hundreds of their friends and family.
