I
do
I'm
having
visited
all
110
parks
with
various
states
and
so
forth
and
use
by
the
residents.
Could
you
give
us
an
overall
impression
of
the
parks
that
are
available
for.
A
Our
weather,
fantastic,
two
of
my
favorites,
are
going
undergoing
renovation
right
now.
Enterprise
dog
park
amber
loves
that
and
del
oro.
My
grandkids
love
that
so
my
very
favorite
park
is
sunset
sam.
I
don't
know
if
you've
heard
of
it
it's
down
on
island
estates,
there's
no
parking
really
for
the
public,
but
it's
got
fantastic
views
and
I'm
sure
they're
going
to
love
me
for
saying
that
so
everybody's
swarmed
down
there,
but
that's
my
absolute
favorite.
A
Excellent
in
parks-
and
I
forgot
the
total
acreage,
but
except
for
those
little
small
minions-
maybe
they
shouldn't
be
called
a
park,
but
I
think
clearwater
is
doing
a
good
job.
You
guys
are
doing
a
good
job,
so
look
forward
to
more
improvements,
and
I
hope
I
entertained
you
a
little.
C
C
You
know
one's
county
parks,
109
parks
in
a
short
period
of
time,
as
you
did
very
short,
but
but,
for
instance,
you
mentioned
one
of
the
parks
where
you
made
the
observation
that
some
of
our
parks
have
maybe
used
more
walking
trails,
but
we're
going
to
be
in
the
next
year
or
so
helping
put
together
a
strategic
plan
for
the
city's
parks
and,
I
think
doing
at
least
some
of
what
she's
done
as
a
board
on
our
own.
Just
going
out
and
visiting
these
parks
might
help
help
us
do.
C
C
Things
that
come
to
mind
about
possible
improvements
when
you
actually
experience
the
parks
like
well.
A
Maybe
some
of
those
little
parks
that
I
said
needed
playgrounds
would
be
good
for
neighborhoods
and
I
know
there's
a
liability
issue.
I've
been
told,
but
with
modern,
updated
equipment
there
shouldn't
be
so
there
used
to
be
a
playground
at
the
park
across
the
street
for
me,
but
it
was
old,
it
was
falling
apart
and
of
course
I
can
see
that's
a
liability
issue,
but
other
than
that.
Please
please,
plant
more
trees.
C
B
You
very
much,
I
believe,
we'll
already
call
it
our
last
meeting
in
october.
B
But
nevertheless,
I
made
a
visit
down
there
and
met
with
mr
burl
roller,
who
gave
me
an
excellent
tour
of
the
air
and
explained
a
little
bit
to
me
about
the
club,
the
people
that
come
there.
They
have
a
lovely
clubhouse.
If
you
will.
D
B
Club
itself
goes
back
to
1924
and
it's
on
a
very
lovely
area
of
clearwater,
just
on
calumet
street,
so
my
first
visit
was
only
about
a
half
an
hour
and
I
got
an
introduction
to
some
of
the
people
and
understood
what
the
park
was
about
a
big
part
and
what
the
bowling
club
was
about.
But
then
I
returned
about
two
or
three
weeks
later
and
in
fact
ran
into
dick
giadicki.
I
hope
I
pronounced
it
right.
The
president
barb
roller,
the
secretary
and
ellen
o'donnell,
again,
the
vice
president
of
the
club.
B
At
that
time,
I
was
pleasantly
surprised
to
find
out
that
the
parks
and
recreation
department
actually
has
a
facility
agreement
with
the
parks
with
the
clearwater
lawn
bowling
club,
with
respect
to
assisting
them
with
respect
to
maintenance
and
some
equipment
around
the
park
around
the
club,
as
well
as
the
facility
being
made
open
for
the
public
to
use
instructions,
and
things
like
that.
So
that
was
the
connection.
I
really
wasn't
certain
about
in
the
first
visit,
but
certainly
became
apparent
on
the
second
visit.
B
The
one
thing
that
did
strike
me
was
that
the
city
reached
out
to
them
with
respect
to
this
agreement,
and
evidently
it's
an
annual
agreement
that
they
do
with
them
and
there's
certain
things
that
expected
of
the
club
and
certain
things
the
city
will
do
for
them
in
an
attempt
to
make
this
an
attractive
place
for
the
citizens
of
clearwater
to
enjoy
one
of
the
things
that
the
city
did
as
well,
because
membership
is
a
very
key
issue
for
the
club
to
maintain
their
viability
and
they
do
get
canadians
that
come
down
in
wintertime
and
other
people
that
become
members
of
the
club
temporarily.
B
If
you
will,
but
the
long-term
goal,
I
would
suspect,
has
got
to
be
to
increase
membership
and
I
believe,
in
conjunction
with
the
city,
there
was
a
clearwater
lawn
bowling
club
brochure
made
up
with
the
city's
logo
on
it.
That
would
allow
them
to
let
people
know
about
the
availability
of
this
club,
as
well
as
the
city's
attempt
to
get
some
publicity
for
it
as
well,
and
if
I'm
not
mistaken,
I
believe
ellen
has
been
able
to
place
some
of
these
brochures
in
the
various
recreation.
B
The
question
I
have
art-
and
perhaps
you
can
assist
with
this
one-
is
there
anything
to
prevent
these
types
of
brochures
from
being
placed
at
something
like
top
of
the
world
or
other
places
for
people
to
be
aware
of
this
facility
that
they
could
use
and
at
the
rec
center?
Is
there
any
problem
with
rec
center
staff,
pointing
out
the
brochure
to
people
that
may
come
in
just
as
a
piece
of
information.
E
Absolutely
not,
we
would
be
more
than
happy
and
pleased
to
you
know,
promote
anything
as
we
already
do
in
our
my
clearwater
magazine.
That
comes
out.
You
know
four
times
a
year
and
we
do
promote
all
of
our
kind
of
our
co-sponsor
groups
and
our
clubs
and
those
types
of
things
right
and
we'd
be
happy
to
do
that
very.
B
Good,
so,
in
closing,
all
these
gentlemen
and
ladies
out
here
are
from
the
clearwater
lawn
bowling
club
and
I'm
glad
to
see
them
come
out
in
such
a
rough
night
as
tonight
is-
and
I
do
wish
them
well
with
respect
to
the
membership.
But
I'm
so
happy
and
pleased
that
parks
and
recreation
has
partnered
with
them
to
do
what
they
can
to
make
them
a
success.
And
I
know
that
the
club
members
are
dealing
directly
with
parks
and
recreation
on
questions
and
issues
that
come
up.
So
it
was
a
wonderful
invitation.
B
C
C
We
do
have
an
opportunity
for
citizens
to
be
heard
on
this
agenda
item.
So
if
there's
a
member
of
the
club
would
like
to
come
up
and
and
just
say
a
few
words
about
the
club,
we
welcome
that
at
this
time
that
anybody
would
like
to.
D
D
Okay,
as
patrick
pointed
out,
the
club
has
been
in
existence
since
1924,
and
we
are
working
really
really
hard
to
try
and
make
it
to
2024
our
100th
anniversary
and,
as
patrick
also
pointed
out,
our
enrollment
is
diminished
a
couple
different
reasons.
One
of
them
is,
some
of
them
are
part-time
members.
Some
of
them
are
canadians.
We
got
nailed
by
kovid,
we're
still
getting
nailed
by
coven,
so
we
lose
some
of
those
memberships.
D
Last
year
we
were
not
allowed
tournaments
at
all
and
that's
a
money
revenue,
but
our
biggest
one
is
them.
Is
the
membership
for
the
year
and
yet
our
expenses,
because
we
have
a
massive
facility
and
utilities
and
garbage
and
water,
and
for
the
past
several
years
we
had
storm
water,
which
was
the
biggest
portion
of
that.
It
comes
to
almost
twelve
thousand
five
hundred
dollars
a
year,
which
we
will
not
make
it
to
2024.
D
If
this
persists-
and
one
of
the
big
problems
we've
had
is
that
we
were
not,
we
were
told
we
could
not
talk
to
anyone
at
the
rec
centers
and
explain
to
them
exactly
what
lawn
bowling
is,
and
maybe
you
know
if
somebody
asked
a
question
about
it,
they
were
not
informed,
nor
were
we
allowed
to
be
informants
to
them
now.
The
only
thing
that
has
changed
is
this
brochure
that
they
finally
have
allowed
us
to
use,
and
we
greatly
appreciate
that.
D
But
if
the,
if
the
people
don't
know
about
it,
they'll
come
up
to
and
say
well,
what
is
this
and
they'll
say
I
don't
know
and
rightfully
so,
because
they
don't
know-
and
all
we
were
asking
is
to
explain
it
when
we
put
the
brochures
there
and
it
fell
so
far
on
deaf
ears
and
I'm
I'm
really
not
understanding
why
that
is
the
case,
the
other
part,
and
we
we
have
suggested
this
to
the
city
of
the
the
parks
and
rec
board
themselves
that
maybe
later
on
because
of
our
dwindling
membership
and
the
history
of
the
club.
D
Why
doesn't
the
city
itself
take
it
over
and
we
would
pay
them
just
like
we
paid
for
any
other
facility
in
the
in
the
park
and
and
almost
every
member
of
the
board
was
there
at
the
time.
This
is
going
back.
What
about
a
year
and
a
half?
D
About
how
the
city
is
looking
at
us,
as
I
think
all
the
senior
programs
fall
into
the
same
guideline-
we're
considered
private
clubs,
yet
the
city
controls
us
and
we're
all
pretty
much
in
the
same
boat.
There's
only
four
of
them.
There's
horseshoes,
there's
shuffleboard,
there's
us
and
then
there's
a
baseball
league,
I
believe
is
the
other
one,
and
none
of
us
have
large
enrollments
and
none
of
us
have
vast
memberships
and
we
are
all
running
out
of
money,
we're
all
in
the
same
boat
and
that's
not
a.
D
I
hate
would
hate
to
see
this
on
clearwater's
public
resume
that
they
ignored
the
senior
citizens
in
the
community,
and
I
guess
that's
all.
I've
got
to
say
at
this
point.
F
D
That
brings
up
another
point:
we
we
are
open
seven
days
a
week.
Basically,
we
have
jitney's,
which
is
a
just
a
like
practice,
and
that's
on
mondays,
tuesdays,
thursdays
and
saturdays
wednesday.
In
the
morning
and
sunday
in
the
morning,
the
greens
keeper
works
on
the
greens,
which
are
actually
not
lawn.
There
are
a
substance
called
rubico
which
is
crushed
granite
with
a
binder
in
it
and
that's
what
we
use
and
what
we
are
trying
to
talk
to
the
city
about
is
possibly
installing
some
led
lighting
on
the
side.
D
That's
usable,
we
have
lights
on,
we
have
a
total
of
eight
14
22
rings.
D
Eight
of
them
are
on
the
north
side
and
14
are
on
the
south
to
hold
the
tournament
you
you've
got
to
have,
I
would
say
at
least
10
rings
to
be
able
to
hold
a
tournament
legitimately
and
they
are
on
the
unlit
courts,
not
the
lit
courts,
and
I
think
they
went
by
the
wayside
in
the
past,
just
because
they
were
all
about
trying
to
get
that
extra
money
and
work
in
the
tournaments,
and
that's
why
those
greens
are
in
pristine
condition.
D
The
other
ones
have
not
been
taken
care
of
and
again
with
the
number
of
people
available
it.
It
becomes
a
rather
an
impossibility
and-
and
the
funding
is
not
there,
because
there
are
ditch
boards
that
would
have
to
be
replaced.
D
E
Can
I
can
I
share
something
sure?
Okay,
just
just
to
answer
you,
these
reductions
actually
began
back
in
2008
2009.
The
club
has
been
here
for
a
long
time.
It
actually
was
on
the
bay
front
for
many
many
years
and
its
heyday.
Literally
there
were
250
people
that
were
members
of
the
club.
They
used
all
the
courts,
they
had
huge
tournaments,
they
had
banquets,
it
was
just
it
was
a
wonderful
thing
to
see
and
to
be
a
part
of
and
which
I
was
for
almost
20
years,
when
they
were
doing
that.
E
Unfortunately,
the
membership
has
declined
throughout
the
42
years
that
I
have
known
the
club
and
one
of
the
issues
that
that
we
had
in
2008
and
that
time
we
had
some
draconian
budget
cuts.
To
be
quite
honest
with
you
during
those
times,
if
you
recall
that's
when,
of
course,
everyone
struggled
quite
a
bit,
we
as
a
department
lost
approximately
50,
I
think,
was
55
employees,
full-time
employees
from
the
entire
parks
and
recreation
department.
E
Some
of
the
reductions
had
to
be
like
we
turned
the
tennis
court
lights
off
on
all
of
the
out
tenor,
scorch
just
to
save
that
little
bit
of
money,
and
one
of
those
was
that
we
turned
over
the
responsibility
for
these
courts
to
the
clubs
at
that
time,
and
so
agreements
were
were
made
during
that
time,
and
so
that's
why
there's
an
agreement
there.
The
other
thing
I'd
like
to
just
clarify
is
that
that,
while,
yes,
you
did
have
to
pay
those
fees,
the
new
agreement,
you're
not
paying
any
storm
water
fees.
E
The
city
of
clearwater
is
paying
you
another
two
thousand
five
hundred
dollars.
That's
that's
questionable,
okay!
Well,
it's
in
the
agreement.
It
is
in
the.
D
E
Well,
I'd
be
we'll,
certainly
be
more
than
willing
to
work
with
you
on
that
of
what
that
is.
That's
all
I
ask,
and,
and
that
would
be
fine,
but
it
is
in
our
agreement
and
we
will
certainly
abide
by
the
agreement
and
and.
D
The
stormwater
just
so
you
know
that
is
a
huge
congratulations
to
you
guys,
because
that
saves
us
four
thousand
dollars
right
off
the
bat
and
it.
E
E
You
know
you
have
to
teach
lawn
bowls
to
people,
okay,
and
it
is
a
declining
sport,
mainly
because
the
declining
well
a
lot
of
reasons.
Okay,
northern
visitors
can't
come,
but
also
people
are
dying
off.
To
be
quite
honest
with
you
in
this
sport,
one
of
the
things
that
we're
looking
at
and
one
of
the
issues
is
where
did
the
people
come
from
to
play
long
balls?
Sure
I
think
that
was
your
question.
I
don't
know
that
you've
answered,
in
other
words
the
number
of
members
that
are
city
of
clearwater
residents.
E
You
mentioned
to
us
about
advertising
that
top
of
the
world
well
top
of
the
world
is
all
county
residents.
Those
are
not
city
of
clearwater
residents,
so
you
know
our
goal
and
purpose
is
to
to
meet
the
needs
of
the
city
of
clearwater
residents,
and
we
had
found
it
actually
in
2009
that
the
majority
of
the
people
utilizing
these
facilities
were
not
city,
clearwater
residents.
E
D
And
I
agree
with
what
you're
saying
but
take
the
tennis,
for
example:
is
it
just
clear
water
people
that
play
the
tennis
courts
or
do
they
come
from
pinellas
county?
We
get
pinellas
county.
I
live
in
dunedin
and
I
am
the
president
of
the
club
and
I
have
as
much
right
to
speak,
as
does
anybody
because
I'm
there
almost
seven
days
a
week.
D
Well
I
didn't
say
you
didn't,
although
I
understand
that
I
understand
okay
but
but
but
again,
are
you
out
to
help
with
senior
activities
not
only
in
clearwater,
but
why
not
pinellas
county?
Why.
E
Is
it
strictly
clearwater?
You
can't
speak
for
pinellas
county,
okay,
pinellas
county
for
those
residents.
They
can
go
to
pinellas
county.
What
generally
they
do
is
they
rely
on
the
municipalities
to
provide
recreation
programs?
Now
we
do
have
a
very
strong,
robust
senior
program
at
the
long
center.
We
have
the
senior
center
there
that
we
have
and
we
have
programs
throughout
the
city
at
almost
all
of
our
recreation
centers.
For
for
seniors
it
may
not
be
as
long
bowling.
It
may
be
that
they
like
pickleball
or
it
may
be
that
they
like
something
else.
E
I
drive
so
anyways.
I
I
apologize.
The
last
thing
I'd
like
to
say
is
that
we
are
looking
at
the
property
in
general.
The
lawn
bowls
is
just
a
portion
of
that.
The
shuffle
board
club
also
occupies
the
same
space
plus
it's
beautiful,
where
the
location
is
right.
On
stevenson,
creek,
you
go
right
out
into
the
bay.
We
are
as
a
as
a
staff.
Looking
at
that
property
to
say
it
is
underutilized
because
it
is
underutilized
and
we
there
are
some
things
that
could
be
done:
canoe
launching
boat,
launching.
E
There
are
some
things
that
the
city
of
saint
petersburg
did
with
their
shuffle
club
and
some
of
the
other
areas
there
where
they
now
have
a
younger
population.
That's
going
there.
Perhaps
in
the
park,
you
can
put
some
volleyball
courts
and
have
that
mix
and
to
bring
in
different.
You
know
ages
and
age
groups
which
then
might
get
interested
in
shuffleboard
or
they
might
get
interested
along
bullying.
So
we
are
looking
at
the
property
in
general
and
certainly
would
like
your
input
into
that.
F
One
thing
also
with
a
lot
of
the
community
changing
with
so
many
people
moving
into
the
city.
I
know
we've
had
that
conversation
before
and
seeing
as
beautiful.
I
mean
it's
a
testament
to
what
the
city
does
to
have
so
much
greenery
available,
considering
how
many
cities
are
getting
rid
of
it.
So
with
everybody
coming
in,
we
still
preserve
that
greenery.
I
also
see
a
lot
of
youth
research
having
a
lot
of
sports
having
resurgences
like
shuffleboard,
a
lot
of
young
people.
F
Millennials
are
playing
shuffleboard,
maybe
lawn
bowling,
they're,
doing
darts,
they're
doing
axe,
throwing
there's
a
lot
of
sports
that
the
younger
crowd
is
starting
to
get
more
yes,
axe,
throwing
it's
it's
there.
I
mean
there's
so
many
people,
so
many
different
interests
now
and
we're
a
much
more
diverse
community
than
we
were
50
years
ago.
So
I
think
there
could
be
a
path
that
we
can
see
that
maybe
we
can
work
together,
maybe
find
out
other
venues
of
marketing
to
try
to
kind
of
get
an
influx
of
young
blood
in
there.
D
F
D
C
I
just
want
to
say
that
I
don't
know
you
know
we
found
any
solutions
tonight,
but
certainly
certainly
you've
got
a
very
long
history
in
this
community
100
years
approaching
100
years
and
it's
been
a
great
tradition
and
a
great
piece
of
land,
as
mr
cater
has
pointed
out
and
and
so
hopefully
you
know,
we've
educated
board
a
little
bit
tonight
on
what
your
situation
is
and
what
the
needs
are.
And
hopefully
that's
got
us
thinking
tonight
and
we'll
be
able
to
work
with
your
group
over
the
next
year
or.
D
C
C
B
E
Didn't
say
anything
to
me
about
that.
I
think
it
was
like.
You
said
someone
on
the
board
that
put
that
on
there
to
discuss.
Obviously
you
know
we
do
have
nuisance
and
exotic
plants.
We
don't
have
enough.
I
don't
have
an
inventory
done
on
that.
E
That's
certainly
we
have
a
lot
of
the
parks
as
we
we
know
that
are
not
yet
developed
matter
of
fact,
they're
just
simply
left
in
their
pristine
state
of
forests
and
woods
and
trees,
and
it
would
be
nice
at
some
time
to
do
an
environmental
audit
of
what
the
city
of
clearwater
has
in
that
regard
and
if
we
did
an
environmental
audit
we
would
then
address
these
nooses
and
exotic
plants.
So
that's
really
all
I
I
know
about
that.
C
If
he
wants
to,
he
says
in
comment
on
item
4.3,
move
to
item
4.4,
review
of
the
parks
and
recreation
december
project
update
report
mr
caters
on
here.
You
want
to
highlight
for
us
as
far
as
renovations.
I
know
there
are
two
parks
del
oro
and
the
dog
park
which,
as
kelly
mentioned
earlier,
are
going
to
be
closed
soon
for
repairs,
but
any
other
repairs.
E
E
The
other
thing
that
I
just
wanted
to
correct
here
on
the
courtney
campbell
overpass.
The
city
council,
will
be
looking
at
that
item
on
february,
the
third
meeting
to
discuss
the
funding
of
the
aesthetics
of
the
pedestrian
overpass
on
state
road
60
that
will
connect
our
bay
shore
trail
to
the
courtney
campbell
trailer.
So
we
had
to
push
that
back.
E
E
Park,
the
cip,
repairs
they'll
all
be
done
by
the
first
home
game,
which
is
february
27th.
So
I
wanted
to
remind
you
of
that.
If
we
have
spring
training
we're
hopeful
that
we
are
but
we're
going
to
be
ready,
just
like
it
is,
and
then
the
other
thing
is
the
sailing
center
dock
replacement.
We
have
down
here
that
it
went
to
the
council
and
it
did
get
approved,
but
they
approved
the
replacement
of
two
docks
rather
than
one.
They
thought
that
it
was
wise
to
do
that.
E
G
E
Think
that
that's
pretty
much
it.
B
Any
questions
from
the
board
yeah.
I
want
to
make
a
comment
on
one
of
the
items
that
is
a
new
project
enterprise
dog
park.
I
was
at
the
council
meeting
on
december
20th
and,
to
my
surprise,
this
particular
item
here
gathered
a
great
deal
of
resident
citizens
comments,
about
which
I
really
was
amazed
at.
B
B
There
was
no
such
option
to
try
and
close
off
part
of
it
keep
part
of
it
open
and
so
forth,
and
I
think
he
gave
a
very
reasonable
explanation
as
to
why
they
had
to
do
it
that
way
and
that
they
were
trying
to
do
it
as
expeditiously
as
possible,
and
I
think
the
residents
were
satisfied
with
that
explanation.
The
only
comment
I
would
make
is
that,
if
it's
at
all
possible,
of
course,
to
speed
up
the
completion
of
it
from
april
2022
to
sooner,
the
residents
would
like
that.
B
Hopefully
it's
at
least
on
schedule,
and
then,
secondly,
when
it
is
in
fact
completed
and
open
to
them.
I,
from
what
I
heard
from
the
director
there's
going
to
be
some
rather
significant
improvements
and
enhancements
there.
It
might
be
worth
making
it
somewhat
of
an
event
to
open
it
up
to
the
residents
in
that
area
say
it's
now
opened
here's
the
park
somewhat
similar
to
the
crest
lake
park
renovation
that
you
did
because
I
was
amazed
at
how
many
people
used
that
park
and
spoke
out
about
it.
B
E
E
So
on
the
17th
it
was
closed
early
in
the
morning
I
had
my
parks,
crews
they
that
they
closed
it
up,
and
on
that
day
we
had
people
working
and
so
they're
working
diligently
and
we're
going
to
try
to
beat
that
schedule.
But
I'm
not
going
to
promise
it
yet
right
I'll,
not
say
a
word.
Okay,.
C
I'm
familiar
with
that's
a
very
popular
part.
It
is
well
known
throughout
the
areas
yep,
I'm
sure
folks
were
concerned.
Any
other
questions
from
the
board
on
the
project
update
any
comments
from
the
citizens.
On
this
agenda
item
hearing
none
moved
to
item
4.5
rules
and
responsibilities
of
parks
and
recreation
board
members.
G
I
asked
mr
haleo's
to
kind
of
just
review
that
again
because
I
know
there
was
a
lot
of
emails
going
back
and
forth
and
this
was
a
few
months
ago,
so
I
honestly
forget
possibly
the
specifics
of
that,
but
I
know
that
there
was
some
issues
with
possibly
sunshine
law
things,
so
I
had
asked
him
to
talk
about
that.
I
don't
know
if
he
gave
you
anything.
Mr
cater.
E
B
I
can
I
can
shed
a
little
light
on
this
item
because
in
fact,
I
believe
it's
my
emails
that
caused
mr
thomas
to
ask
for
this
item
to
be
added
to
the
agenda,
so
I
can
certainly
shed
some
light
on
from
my
perspective.
Actually,
mr
thomas's
comment.
After
my
emails
went
out,
one
that
you
answered,
mr
keator
and
one
that
mr
helios
answered
was
thanks
for
all
you
and
your
staff.
Do.
I
think
the
board
needs
to
be
reminded
that
we
are
on
an
advisory
board
and
not
a
government
body.
B
We
should
be
not
contacting
you
constantly
with
every
little
thing.
If
we
have
an
issue,
a
meeting
is
when
it
should
be
discussed.
This
is
very
frustrating
because
you
have
an
agency
to
run
and
should
be
bogged
down
by
individual
requests
from
advisory
board
members,
and
I
would
that
advise
the
board
members.
B
How
do
we
call
this
incident
on
that
particular
day
november,
1st
november
2nd
after
our
last
meeting
the
26th
of
october,
I
sent
one
email
to
mr
haleos
on
behalf
of
a
resident
who
had
an
issue
with
forest
run
park
and
he
had
sent
in
a
complaint
to
the
parks
and
recreation
group
evidently
was
not
satisfied
with
the
response
he
got
and
reached
out
to
the
president
of
the
homeowners
association
in
my
area.
B
B
It
was
basically
an
overgrowth
of
vines
and
something
over
the
sun
and
so
forth,
not
tremendously
significant,
not
in
the
park
itself,
as
we've
seen
before.
Nevertheless,
I
thought
well,
it's
now
november
the
first
we're
not
going
to
meet
again
until
january
25th,
so
I
can't
bring
it
up
to
the
board
meeting
or
tell
this
resident
to
wait
three
months
until
we
look
into
it.
So
I
actually
sent
a
note
to
jim
to
say
jim
this
has
been
sent
to
me
by
the
president
of
the
aha.
B
A
resident
was
complaining
about
some
cleanup
that
would
he
would
like
to
see
if
it
could
be
done
on
the
park
entrance
and
jim
responded
back
to
me,
basically
that
it
is
a
resource
problem
with
respect
to
having
the
capacity
in
people
to
do
the
trimming.
It
was
not
an
impediment
to
getting
into
the
park
and
I
agreed
with
him.
I
thought
it
was
not
that
significant
an
issue,
and
that
was
the
end
of
it.
I
forwarded
his
reply
to
the
president
of
the
hoa
and
asked
her
to
give
it
to
the
to
the
resident.
B
The
second
email
I
sent
actually
was
answered
by
yourself
and
it
was
relative
to
an
item
that
was
on
the
previous
month's
report
as
to
grants
that
we
were
seeking,
and
the
item
was
updated
by
the
fact
that
we
ran
out
of
time
for
applying
for
the
grant.
B
So,
therefore
we
won't
get
it,
but
we
will
be
able
to
apply
for
it
next
year
and
the
only
query
that
I
had
is
that,
because
I
understand
what
caused
the
time
to
run
a
lack
of
resources
to
shorter
time
frame
and
so
forth,
and
your
reply
team
was
very
kind
and
prompt,
which
basically
said
you
just
ran
out
of
time.
But
there
would
be
an
opportunity
to
apply
for
this
in
the
following
year
and
I'm
always
concerned
about
things
within
parks
and
recreation
relative
to
resources.
B
Because
I
know
resources
are
a
real
issue
and
whenever
I
can,
I
try
and
speak
to
the
council
about
that
very
issue.
So
my
query
in
the
one
case,
was
on
behalf
of
a
resident
that
I
felt
should
not
wait
until
january
25th
to
see
why
this
cannot
be
done,
and
the
second
was
from
my
own
information
to
understand
why
this
grant
was
not
going
to
be
satisfied
now,
but
could
be
applied
for
later,
just
as
an
education.
B
I
knew
I
learned
about
sidewalks
by
making
a
query
on
behalf
of
resident,
and
I
really
know
a
lot
about.
Sidewalks
now,
by
the
same
token,
I
understand
exactly
why
this
thing
could
not
be
done,
and
I
had
it
explained
to
the
resident
and
I
think
he
was
satisfied
with
had
we
had
a
meeting
within
the
next
30
days.
B
I
would
assume
that
you
would
tell
me
that,
and
I
would
therefore
be
educated
in
that
fashion
as
well,
so
no
harm
intended.
I
think
it
was
well
worth
doing
and,
quite
frankly,
if
the
meeting
was
going
to
be
held
sooner
than
january
25th,
I
may
have
deferred
it
until
then
right.
So
that
is
the
explanation
and.
B
Mr
haleo's
forwarded
it:
oh
okay,
and
he
when
he
forwarded
the
one
relative
to
the
trimming,
I
think
people
started
responding.
You
know,
I
don't
even
think
they
respond,
he
just
forwarded
to
them
and
the
second
one
I
said
well,
maybe
he's
just
trying
to
keep
the
board
informed
of
an
issue
because
we're
not
meeting
for
three
months.
B
G
B
F
G
B
Yeah,
I
I
think
I'm
I'm
when
I
joined
the
parks
and
recreation
board.
The
city
was
kind
enough
to
provide
me
with
the
charter
establishing
the
parks
and
recreation
board,
rules
and
responsibilities,
specifically
the
codes
within
the
city
that
do
ask
for
us
to
provide
input,
and
I'm
very
mindful
of
that,
and
as
I
said,
if
in
fact,
I
sometimes
step
across
that
line.
If
you
will,
I
would
expect
mr
haleyos
to
say
something
to
me
and
I
won't
be
offended
by
it
or
yourself.
Of
course,.
E
Well,
I
don't
and
again
we
welcome
comments
from
every
resident
and
the
one
that
came
and
shared
with
you
too.
We
have
different
mechanisms
to
you
know
we
respond
to
them.
Every
day
we
get
residents
request
some
good.
Usually
there
are
issues
and
complaints
that
we
have
to
deal
with,
but
actually
we
want
to
hear
those.
I
certainly
you
know,
like
you
said,
if
somebody
let
you
some
know
that
if
you
could
just
simply
refer
them
to
the
website,
then
they
can.
They
can
make
comment
on
that
website.
B
Yeah,
I
think
I
think
he
did
go
to
the
website
and
I
think
what
he
was
disturbed
at
was
that
it
was
perhaps
a
recording
or
something
that
said
that
we
are
aware
of
this,
but
we
may
not
be
able
to
get
to
it
in
timely
fashion
and
basically
that
he
felt
good.
Lord.
I
was
hoping
that
russia
right
out
here
and
cut
these
perhaps
and
I
went
down
to
look
at
it
and
and
I
had
to
agree.
I
said
it's
not
a
real
significant
issue,
but
let's
see
what
happened.
B
G
I
I
just
you
know,
I
explained
my
reasoning
for
that.
Okay,
I
just
don't
want
the
public
to
I
mean
I
think
the
public
should
be
able
to
come
to
us
with
questions,
but
I
also,
I
think
the
public
needs
to
know
that
you
know
we're
no
governing
bodies,
so
you
know
we
can't.
We
can't
really
give
them
what
they
want
all
the
time.
G
We
can
only
tell
them
the
right
direction
to
go
which,
like
you
said
you
know,
direct
them
to
the
website
and
sometimes
the
answer
is
not
going
to
be
an
answer
they
like,
but
absolutely
unfortunately,
so
that's
all
I
was
saying
I
just.
I
thought
it
was
getting
a
little
redundant
yeah
and
that's
all-
and
you
know,
like
I
said
that
was
november
or
something
so
yeah.
B
E
Yeah
most
of
our
issues,
we
do
respond,
sometimes
that
we
have
accepted.
We.
We
understand
that
it
is
on
the
list.
Sidewalks
are
two
years
behind.
To
be
quite
honest
with
you.
Our
new
city
manager
is
wanting
us
to
address
those
yeah,
and
so
we
will
be
doing
that
and
which
means
more
resources
yeah.
So
we
didn't
have
resources
to
get
there
so
and
the
same
way
with
the
tree
trimming
or
the
tree,
cutting
the
trees
down
and
those
types
of
things.
C
Okay,
I
think
that
I
think
the
biggest
thing
for
us
as
a
board
to
remember
is:
we
can't
have
a
cup.
We
can
have
direct
conversations
with
the
staff
for
any
citizen
one-on-one,
but
we
can't
do.
Is
we
can't
have
conversations
as
a
board
by
email
or,
however,
without
it
being
publicly
noticed
on
an
agenda.
C
E
We
are
open
to
the
board
members
sharing
with
us
anything
that
you
find
you
go
to
a
park.
You
like
the
park
or
you
went
to
a
park.
You
saw
the
garbage
was
overflowing.
Any
of
that
helps
us
because
you're
the
eyes
and
the
ears
and
with
the
people
and
again
the
board,
of
course
is-
is
for
the
city
council
board,
but
we'd
like
to
hear
that
before
you
have
to
tell
that
to
the
council,
to
be
quite
honest
with
you
and
we'll
see.
If
we
can
correct
those
situations,
when
we
can
okay.
B
Now-
and
I
certainly
don't
advertise
that
I'm
a
board
member
but
being
in
my
neighborhood
and
the
hoa
being
their
people
know
me,
and
I
certainly
don't
begin
any
conversation
with
the
resident
by
how
are
your
sidewalks
in
front
of
your
house.
I've
learned
that
lesson
early,
but
I
do
think
you're
right.
They
they
do
use
us
for
a
sounding
board.
For
this
any
other
thing
and
and
if
we
can
answer
ourselves,
which
I
can
do
many
of
them
now
as
a
result
of
being
educated,
I
will.
B
C
B
B
C
Okay,
this
time
the
chair
will
entertain
nominations
for
vice
chair
for
coming
here,
I'll
nominate,
mark
rodriguez.
B
C
E
Yeah,
just
I
just
want
everybody
to
know
that
chairman
rector
represented
this
board.
Exceptionally,
I
hope
you
were
able
to
see
that
and
and
if
not,
you
can
certainly
go
back,
but
I
was
very
impressed
as
he
shared
what
this
board
had
done
and
some
of
the
things
that
you
all
are
looking
forward
to
in
the
future.
Some
of
the
things
you
were
considering
as
far
as
meeting
times
and
those
kinds
of
things.
C
E
It
was
every
two
months
every
often
was
yeah.
It
was
yeah
specifically
to
meet
more
often
more
often
than
three
yeah.
Okay.
The
other
issue
is,
I
wanted
to
share
with
you.
I
don't
know
if
you
any
of
you,
I
think
most
of
you
have
at
least
met
mr
chen,
who
has
worked
for
the
city
of
clearwater
for
the
last
21
years.
He
is
retired.
He
is
the
individual
that
that
actually
did
all
the
projects
that
were
out
there.
He
was
our
project
manager,
our
parks
and
project
manager.
E
If
you
see
anything,
we
did
like
crest
lake
park,
it
was
him
any
of
the
rec
centers
that
were
built
in
the
city
of
cleveland,
with
the
exception
of
the
long
center
and
the
countryside,
he
built
them.
So
he
has
put
his
mark
on
the
city
of
clearwater.
I
we
will
miss
him
immensely,
but
we
wish
him
well
in
his
retirement.
E
So
I
wanted
you
to
know
that
and
also
to
know
that
means
it's
going
to
slow
down,
because
that
means
I'm
now
the
project
manager
of
18
projects.
He
left
me
okay,
so
we
got
18
projects,
so
we
are
in
the
process,
though,
of
trying
to
fill
his
position,
and
I've
always
said.
It'll
take
three
people
to
fill
that
one
man's
position
and
he
was
very
good
with
the
city.
The
only
other
thing
would
be
that
the
parks
and
recreation
master
plan
we've
talked
about
several
times.
E
We
basically
are
trying
to
help
the
citizens
out
by
not
interviewing
them
or
having
getting
responses
from
them
from
surveys
and
all
I
think,
the
city
kind
of
out
surveyed
all
of
our
our
residents
and
so
we're
trying
to
combine
with
the
strategic
plan
that
they're
working
on
so
we're
trying
to
and
have
a
contract
so
with
the
firm
that
is
doing
the
strategic
plan
so
that
we
can
kind
of
do
it
in
one
fell
swoop
and
and
cover
that.
E
So
that's
why
the
delay
in
the
master
plan,
if
you're
interested
in
that
and
the
only
other
thing
is
saint
pete,
clearwater,
invitational,
softball
tournament.
That's
the
espn!
That's
coming
up
next
month
and
it's
a
big
event
and
so
look
forward
to
that
also
check
the
website.
We
have
been
changing.
It
trying
to
work
on
it.
We
know
we
got
a
lot
of
problems
and
issues
in
it.
It's
not
the
most
jazzy
website,
but
we're
working
on
it.
E
C
Any
comments
from
citizens
on
the
gen
item.
Seven.
Excuse
me:
you
didn't
item
six
hearing.
None
we'll
move
to
agenda
item
seven
board
members
to
be
heard.
Mr
hood,
do
you
have
anything
yeah?
Mr
thomas.
G
Yes,
so
I've
been
on
this
board
for
about
two
years
now
and
I've
enjoyed
it
thoroughly.
G
However,
yesterday
I
accepted
a
new
position
which
will
have
me
traveling
to
five
different
states,
which
is
good
and
nice,
and
I
like
to
travel
but
the
time
that
it
takes
to
truly
be
you
know.
A
part
of
this
board
will
make
that
very
difficult,
so
tonight
will
be
my
last
meeting
I'll,
be
handing
my
resignation
effective
after
this
meeting.
But
it's
been
a
pleasure.
I
think
everybody
on
this
board
cares
about
the
cause
and
that's
important,
because
that's
the
that's
the
best
way
to
get
the
best
results.
So
I
appreciate
it.
C
B
If
two
items
just
want
to
mention
briefly,
if
I
could
at
our
last
meeting
in
october,
we
struggled
to
get
a
quorum,
we
did
have
four
people
at
that
meeting
when
mr
rodriguez
appeared
as
well,
but
I'm
just
trying
to
emphasize
the
importance
of
people
attending
the
meetings
if
they
can
without
fail,
because
at
that
particular
meeting
in
october,
two
items
came
up
for
discussion
on
the
agenda.
B
One
was
the
chairman's
presentation
of
our
accomplishments
to
the
city
council
on
november
18th
and
the
mechanism
for
providing
him
with
input
or
how
it
would
go
about
three
of
the
people
did
not
even
hear
about
that
from
not
being
here
at
the
meeting.
The
second
thing
was:
we
had
a
discussion
about
the
frequency
of
the
meetings,
because
the
october
meeting
was
the
last
meeting
that
we
would
be
doing
in
a
monthly
basis.
B
B
C
Chair
rodriguez
comments
at
this
time.
Milo
comments
is,
I
just
wanted
to
share
that.
I've
noticed
several
people
looking
down
on
coachman
park
from
the
memorial
causeway
bridge,
and
so
citizens
are
noticing
that
there's
a
lot
happening
in
coachman
park
and
that
is
to
continue
to
progress
and
it's
a
great
thing
for
the
city
of
clearwater.
We've
waited
so
long
to
to
see
a
movement
and
it's
it's
happening
and
I've
I've.
C
You
know
taken
some
joy
and
seeing
citizens
recognizing
that
and
seeing
things
happen
in
there
if
you
haven't,
had
a
chance
to
watch
the
camera
now
or
want
you
to
see.
What's
going
on,
I
encourage
you
to
take
a
look
at
it
because
it's
really
remarkable,
as
I
said,
the
priority
remarkable
how
much
space
there
is
to
work
with
down
there.
You
know
with
it's
all
excavated
like
it
is.
C
It
really
opens
up
a
nice
large
piece
of
property
that
once
develops
going
to
be
a
wonderful
asset
for
all
the
citizens
of
clearwater,
and
then
soon
I'm
told
that
the
the
task
force
is
going
to
be
assembled,
or
at
least
proposed
task
force
to
the
city
council
to
to
look
at
over
a
short
period.
Look
at
conservancy
for
the
park
to
manage
the
park
to
make
sure
that
it's
programmed
and
it's
it's.
C
It's
managed
in
a
way
that
that
gets
the
results
that
we
we've
intended
for
and
making
this
investment
that
that
the
community
has
made
in
the
property.
So
I
think
that
that
in
the
next
30
days,
or
so
that
task
force
may
be
appointed
as
well,
so
lots
of
great
things
happening
not
just
in
coachman
park,
but
all
of
our
pubs
across
the
city
continue
to
drive
past
crest
lake
park
or
go
to
events
there.
And
this
remarkable.
C
I
remember
mr
cader,
you
and
I
had
a
conversation
about
about
the
staffing
it
would
need
and
adding
the
three
people
there
and
and
it's
it's
needed
those
three
people,
because
it
is
a
very
active
and
robust
and
beautiful
park,
and
so
great
things
happening
here
in
the
city
with
our
parks
and
recreation
department
that
at
this
time
on
the
chair
to
entertain
a
motion
to
germans
so
consecutive
all
those
figures
in
favor
signify
by
saying
aye
aye.
