Description
Councilwoman Warner interviews Utilities Director Jack Walsh on the precautions the utilities department is taking to protect our utilities staff from COVID-19
A
Hi
I'm
Brenda
Warner
I,
am
the
council
person
for
district
2
for
the
city
of
cocoa
and
I
am
here
today
with
Jack
Walsh,
our
Utilities
Director,
the
man
who
keeps
your
water
flowing
and
we're
going
to
talk
to
Jack
about
how
the
city
of
cocoa
is
dealing
with
supplying
water
to
our
residents
and
majority
of
Brevard
County
in
the
middle
of
this
crisis.
Hi
jack,
thanks
for
coming
in
today,
really
appreciate
it.
I
know:
you're
busy
I've
been
getting
some
questions
from
my
constituents
about
the
employees.
A
B
Taken
a
number
of
measures
at
the
plant
and
to
protect
our
workers.
First
off
the
social
distancing,
we've
also
looked
at
our
ships.
We
have
three
shifts
that
typically
run
each
day
morning
evening
and
Midnight's,
and
so
we
do
have
separation
for
each
of
the
crews
that
do
show
up,
but
we
also
have
put
into
place
a
number
of
contingency
plans.
B
So
if
the
virus
were
to
infect
somebody
at
the
plant,
we
have,
of
course,
the
ability
to
isolate
and
to
quarantine
that
person,
but
then
we're
also
probably
looking
at
adjusting
the
shifts
and
adjusting
the
crews
that
we
can
still
have
full
coverage
seven
days
a
week,
24
hours
a
day
until
the
virus
you
know,
runs
its
course.
Thank.
A
You
Jack
I,
really
appreciate
you
taking
the
time
to
come
in
today
and
talk
to
our
constituents
about
what's
going
on
with
our
water
system
and
if
you
all
have
any
questions
you
can
go
to
our
website
at
koko,
FL
org
and
please
keep
those
questions
coming
we're
here
to
serve
you.
We
want
to
make
sure
your
questions
are
answered
so
that
you
can
be
comfortable
with
the
services
that
the
city
of
Koko
is
providing
to
you.
Thank
you.
