B
Second
City
Council
me:
this
is
the
first
Tuesday
in
October
and
we're
glad
it's
good
luck.
Yeah
another
month
coming
to
be
in
mayor
Teresa
Tomlinson
is
not
here
tonight,
so
I'm
know,
may
I
approach
the
elbow
and
turn
to
you.
Well,
thank
all
of
you
for
coming
out
heard
a
lot
of
people
who,
just
because
I
was
presiding,
I
appreciate
you
all
caring
that
much
about
me.
B
C
C
C
Some
of
the
questions
that
we
had
asked
were
met
by
us
being
introduced
to
chief
justice,
Gil
McBride,
and
that
has
been
a
fruitful
relationship
for
that.
We
want
to
say
thank
you,
there's
Tuesday,
we
call
America
90
days
of
fasting
and
prayer,
and
we
won't
believe
us,
and
particularly
anybody
who
want
to
participate
to
do
for
90
days
is
to
give
up
profanity
to
stop
cursing
to
stop
speaking
mean
hateful
language
to
one
another,
to
practice
the
golden
rule
and
on
December
25th.
C
We
will
call
the
end
to
that
fast,
what
a
wonderful
gift
to
give
to
Jesus
that
we
would
have
broken
that
bad
habit.
In
that
time.
We
believe
that
God
is
real,
that
the
Bible
is
the
Word
of
God
and
that
he
is
everywhere
all
the
time
he
hears
all.
He
knows
all
and
he
wants
to
do
what's
best
for
us,
for
those
who
will
participate
in
that
90
day,
challenge
we're
asking
God
to
protect
our
children
to
stop
the
school
shootings
and
all
this
unbridled
violence
that
we
see
God
can
stop
it
today.
C
C
We
pray
today
for
the
God
that
you
will
touch
the
hearts
of
Americans
and
give
us
a
heart,
father,
God
that
is
pure
and
that
we
will
love
you
with
all
our
hearts
that
we
would
love
one
another
as
our
sins.
We
pray
today
for
the
God
that
all
of
the
mean
and
hateful
communications
that
we
see
all
the
time
will
become
tore
in
and
that
we
will
communicate
with
one
another
in
a
way.
C
That
shows
that
not
only
we
love
you,
but
we
love
one
another
be
with
us,
father
God,
as
we're
calling
on
you,
father,
God,
to
save
and
rescue
and
protect
our
children,
and
we
know
that
there's
nothing
too
hard
for
you
God.
So
we
pray
today
as
we
make
decisions
for
the
God
of
repentance
decisions
that
we
will
behave
in
a
way.
That
is
pleasing
in
your
sight
that
we
will
stop
using
profane
babbling.
That
opens
the
door
to
other
ungodliness,
but
we
for
the
God
will
make
a
decision
today.
C
Then
we
will
our
sails,
get
control
of
our
lips
get
control
of
our
tongue
and
that
the
communications
that
come
from
us
will
be
holy
and
acceptable.
Unto
you,
and
as
we
do,
that
father
God,
we
pray
O,
Lord
God,
that
on
this
earth
you
we'll
be
we'll
be
done
and
that
you
were
state
of
hand
of
the
Devourer
as
he
planned
to
do
even
at
home
in
our
schools.
C
B
D
E
E
I
B
Only
visitors
to
the
listening
audience
it
sometimes
it
sound
like
I'm,
not
talking
right,
I
have
Parkinsons,
sometimes
our
words
get
caught
up
and
they
won't
come
out.
So
just
bear
with
me.
Please
thank
you.
You're
gonna
bet
into
the
appreciation
resolution,
and
this
is
some
SSC
James
Street
and
jr.
and
council
house.
J
For
all
of
you,
they're
here
I'm,
it
is
truly
a
great
honor
for
me
to
have
the
opportunity
to
read
this
resolution.
I
thank
the
mayor
pro-tem
for
for
allowing
me
to
do
that,
because
I
also
served
in
the
24th
Infantry
vision,
though
in
a
different
conflict
and
sergeants
treatment,
but
I
very
much
appreciate
his
service.
Now
man,
your
service,
says
his
family
in
the
service
of
all
the
veterans
that
are
here.
J
So
if
you
will
bear
with
me
and
I'll,
read
the
resolution,
whereas
sergeant
first
class
James
Streetman
jr.,
a
veteran
of
the
Korean
Conflict
served
in
Company
B,
first
Battalion
19th
infantry
regiment.
That
was
a
part
of
the
24th
Infantry
Division,
where
a
sergeant
first
class
Street,
when
a
native
of
Columbus
Georgia
gave
his
life
for
his
country
on
July,
22nd,
1950,
North,
Asia
and
South
Korea,
whereas
our
first-class
treatment
was
born
in
Columbus
Georgia
and
on
the
day
of
his
sacrifice,
was
23
years
old,
whereas
his
remains
were
unknown
until
August
31st
2018.
J
Today
he
was
accounted
for,
whereas
members
of
his
family,
who
still
reside
in
Columbus,
did
not
know
his
fate
for
nearly
sixty
eight
years
as
its
whereabouts
were
known
only
to
God,
whereas
the
remains
of
sorting
first-class
treatment
will
be
returned
to
Columbus
Georgia
in
the
near
future
and
whereas
the
sacrifices
of
sergeant
first-class
treatment
are
worthy
of
special
recognition
by
this
council.
Now,
therefore,
the
Council
of
Columbus
Georgia
hereby
resolves.
This
council
hereby
wishes
to
express
Joey
shared
with
the
family
of
sergeant
first-class
treatment
during
his
homecoming.
J
The
citizens
of
Columbus
Georgia
are
grateful
for
the
sacrifices
of
sergeant
first
class
treatment
for
those
of
his
family
and
for
his
brave
service
to
our
country.
Let
a
copy
of
this
resolution
be
furnished
to
the
family
of
sergeant's
treatment
as
an
expression
of
appreciation
of
citizens
of
Columbus
for
his
service
presented
at
the
Columbus
consolidated
government
Proclamation
resolution
session,
the
Council
of
a
Columbus
held
on
the
second
day
of
October
2018.
D
B
To
the
street
no
salmon,
there's
not
enough
words,
we
could
say
to
make
you
feel
better,
but
we
say
thank
you
for
raising
a
person
who
care
about
his
country.
Everyone
say
Oh
protecting
so
there's
anything
we
can
do
for
you.
All
you
have
to
do
is
call
us
and
some
time
from
the
street
and
say
I
would
like
to
say
something.
Well,
the
other
council
did
you
anything
like.

Action
Agency
has
worked
to
combat
the
cycle
of
poverty
and
has
served
as
a
visionary
and
a
beacon
of
hope
for
staff
families
and
this
community
and
leads
to
staff
and
local
volunteers.
In
most
important
mission.
Now,
therefore,
Theresa
Pike
Tomlinson,
mayor
of
Columbus
Georgia,
do
hereby
proclaim
the
month
of
October
as
Head
Start
Awareness
Month.
O
Mayor
pro-tem,
councilman's
citizens
of
columbus.
We
would
like
to
thank
you
for
allowing
us
to
be
here
today
to
help
us
kick
off
and
celebrate
this
national
historic.
As
you
know,
in
richer
services
is
a
Community
Action
Agency
we've
been
around
over
51
years,
where
we
serve
over
958
babies
in
seven
counties,
including
Muscovy,
and
two
states
which
is
Georgia
and
Alabama.
O
So
our
comprehensive
education
allows
our
babies
to
get
ready
for
ajik
nan
to
elementary,
so
it
wouldn't
be
impossible
without
the
help
of
our
citizens
here
in
Columbus,
our
families
that
we
serve
and
most
important
our
babies
that
we
educate
every
day.
So
we
thank
you
all
for
allowing
us
to
be
here
today
and
we
also
looking
for
volunteers
if
y'all
want
to
come
out
of
out
here.
So
thank
you
all
again
for
allowing
us
to
be
here.
B
Yeah
I
wanna
say
no
Columbus
is
such
a
giving
community
and
I
appreciate
that
we've
supported
head
start
because
the
new
and
across
children
who
have
not
had
that
hit
started
impacting
their
lives.
You
can
tell
the
difference.
Yes,
ma'am
I
think
every
child
should
be
able
to
go
through
Head
Start,
so
they
will
all
be
on
the
same
level
of
learning.
Thank.
B
N
Q
Dr.
Vlade
couldn't
be
here
today
he
had
somewhere
else.
He
had
to
be
I
brought
with
me.
William
Reynolds
he's
our
stroke
unit
director
at
st.
Francis,
Hospital
and
I.
Just
wanted
to
thank
the
council
members
for
letting
us
be
here
today.
As
you
heard
in
the
proclamation,
stroke
is
the
fourth
leading
cause
of
death
in
our
state
and
it's
a
huge
cause
of
long-term
disability.
When
you're
having
a
stroke,
two
million
brain
cells
can
die
each
minute.
Q
So
it's
critically
important
that
people
understand
when
a
stroke
is
happening,
so
they
can
get
to
the
hospital
and
get
treatment
as
soon
as
possible
to
help
minimize
that
disability.
So
we
just
really
appreciate
you
guys
letting
us
be
here
today
and
have
this
platform
to
raise
awareness
in
our
community
about
the
detection
and
treatment
of
stroke.
R
R
It
is
appropriate
that
a
day
be
designated
for
citizens
to
express
their
appreciation
for
the
contributions
that
retired
educators
have
made
and
continue
to
make
for
the
betterment
of
human
lives
and
for
society,
and
whereas
local
churches
will
recognize
those
lasting
contributions
made
by
retired
educators
in
the
community
and
whereas
the
City
of
Columbus
recognizes
and
urges
all
citizens
to
observe
and
honor
all
retired
educators.
Now,
therefore,
Theresa
Pike
Tomlinson,
mayor
of
Columbus
Georgia,
does
hereby
proclaim
Sunday
November
for
2018
as
Georgia
retired
educators
day.
Thank
you
guys.
R
In
mayor
pro-tem,
you
know
each
year
we
ask
these
folks
to
identify
themselves
and
tell
us
where
they
taught
it
and
how
long
they
taught
it.
I
usually
sit
here
and
try
to
add
up
all
the
years
that
are
represented
behind
the
podium,
but
I'm
not
sure
I
can
do
that
tonight.
Maybe
somebody
in
the
audience
can
add,
as
as
you
tell
us
how
many
years
of
service
to
our
community,
you
have
provided,
go
ahead.

Good
evening
my

during

was

and
I
retired
as
an

in

in

and
it's
a
blessing
to
be
here
and
to
see
my
classmate
and
friends.
Thank
you
for
the
recognition.
W
Many
people
don't
understand
me,
but
as
a
what
was
Miss
Hines
done
at
the
clapping
center
of
that
top
floor,
we
could
just
pray
all
over
the
small
area
and
see
the
beauty
of
God
going
forth,
and
it's
still
going
forth.
Thank
You,
mrs.
Judy,
Thomas
and
just
Isaiah
Hughley
and
all
other
board
members
that
cause
us
to
be
successful
with
the
Claflin
historic
district
for
our
people,
all
children
and
I
am
still
working.
I
go
to
various
function.
W
D
B
J
I
know
all
of
you
work
hard
because
I
see
what
you
do,
especially
since
I've
gotten
in
office
and
I
appreciate
all
of
your
efforts
to
take
care
of
the
city.
So
the
proclamation
reads,
whereas
code
enforcement
officers
are
tasked
with
the
efficient
and
effective
enforcement
of
over
sixty
various
state
and
local
environmental
codes,
laws
and
ordinances
from
prosecuting
individuals
who
fail
to
comply,
as
well
as
providing
enforcement
services
to
other
city
agencies
pertaining
to
taxation
and
licensing
and
whereas
code
enforcement
is
a
function
of
local
government.
J
Their
citizens
consider
important
for
accomplishing
community
goals
such
as
protecting
property
values
and
environment.
Traditionally
has
been
a
process
whereby
local
governments
use
various
techniques
to
gain
compliance
with
duly
adopted
regulations
such
as
land
use
and
zoning
ordinances,
health
and
housing
codes
and
science
standards.
Local
governments
are
now
obliged
to
include
enforcement
of
these
rules
and
regulations
in
the
array
of
responsibilities
they
assumed
for
protecting
the
public,
health
and
welfare
and
whereas
every
day,
assisted
by
support
and
program
staff.
X
Y
If
somebody's
got
tell
us
who
all
standing
there
all
right
good
evening,
Council
this
I
kind
of
be
a
Miss
if
I
didn't,
admit,
Pat
and
and-
and
we
were
special
enforcement-
was
previously
under
Public
Works,
and
this
last
year
has
definitely
been
eye-opening
to
me.
Myself.
I
love
this
group
in
what
we've
been
able
to
do
in
this
short
time,
but
I
also
appreciate
where
they
came
from
what
we
were
they
were
doing
over
in
Public.
Y
Works
I
just
really
wanted
to
give
them
some
type
of
recognition,
because
it
is
kind
of
an
unsung
job,
and
these
are
ideally
the
people
you
see
every
day
when
you're
dealing
with
typical
violations
or
typical
issues
in
the
street.
These
are
kind
of
our
foot
soldiers.
These
are
the
people
that
you
see
first
before
you
see
me
or
anybody
else
higher
up
the
chain
dealing
with
code.
Compliance
I've
learned
a
lot
from
them.
We've
done
right
along
so
we've
had
counselor.
Y
Also,
we've
done
some
ride-alongs
to
kind
of
figure
out
kind
of
how
how
that
works
and
how
we
can
make
you
just
be
as
efficient
as
possible.
So
I
just
want
to
have
a
chance
to
give
them
recognition
for
what
they
do.
Tell
us
who
they
are
all
right.
I'll
have
them
introduce
themselves,
that'd,
be
fine.

founders
and
past

And
what
is
this
is
the
eighth
year
the
Tuskegee

wealth
pilots
classic
will
be
played
in
the
a
daemon.
B
B
Not
the
mayor
s,
Campbell

president
a
Spellman
college,
and
where
is
this
classic?
Like
all
classics,
has
we
focus
on
prominent
parade,
a
week-long
schedule
of
events,
including
church
services,
recruitment
activities,
media
press
conference,
golf
tournament,
classic
reception,
athletic
classic
banquet
and
unbelievable
tailgating
with
thousands
of
fans
from
all
over
the
United
States
and
abroad,
and
they
are
ready
to
come
in.
B
AC
Thank
you,
City
Council
City
Colombo's,
Phoenix,
City,
Fort
Benning.
This
is
our
83rd
additions
as
beaches
that
we're.
In
the
midst
of
this
week,
we
started
Sunday
at
gangs,
AME
Church,
which
is
co-chairs
the
place
of
worship.
This
year
is
a
very
special
year
for
those
of
you
who
may
not
know
I'm
very
proud
to
say
that
the
gang
will
be
a
little
different
this
year
in
the
fact
that
Morehouse
is
coming
to
talent,
5
and
OH.
Tuskegee
is
coming
to
town,
3
and
2.
So
we
we've
been
troubling
people
this
year.
AC
Well,
we
would
like
to
thank
particularly
these,
the
by
City
area,
for
their
continued
support.
I
would
like
to
thank
the
city
manager
for
Catina
loaned
us
an
excellent
Vice.
Chairperson
are
also
mr.
Huff.
Thank
you
so
much
for
your
personal
interest
and
involvement
in
the
outcome
and
our
classic
on
behalf
of
our
granddaddy
of
Colonel
Jackson,
our
immediate
past-president
Judge,
Michael
Gelman
would
like
to
thank
you
guys.
We
have
an
action-packed
week.
Plan
God
has
blessed
us
with
a
great
weather
forecast.
It
should
be
nice
and
hot.
AC
Our
office
has
been
just
buzzing.
This
is
the
second
week.
Normally
we
open
last
week
and
normally
that
first
week
is
a
slow
week,
vending
tailgating
and
parade
has
just
been
phenomenal.
The
golf
tournament
is
looking
really
well
we'll
be
at
the
Country
Club
of
Columbus
again
on
Friday
morning
at
8:30,
and
we
definitely
would
like
to
thank
all
the
support
in
contributions
that
everybody
has
doing.
AC
I
definitely
cannot
leave
here
without
thinking
the
all-volunteer
committee
of
the
Tuskegee
Morehouse
Classic,
which
is
made
up
of
Tuskegee
University
Spelman,
College
and
Morehouse
College,
and
these
people
don't
get
a
dime,
but
they
work
their
you-know-what
off
in
enable
this
classic,
which
is
a
scholarship
classic.
We
would
like
to
leave
the
city
with.
AC
AC
B
B
B
B
AC
Bell
and
I
was
having
that
debate
on
yesterday.
I
can
tell
you.
Fortunately,
we
take
over
the
downtown
Marriott
tuskegee
football
team
stays
at
the
Doubletree
Hotel.
We
have
cysts
added
another
hotel
in
Columbus,
which
is
listed
a
little
less
expensive
than
the
Doubletree
and
the
Marriott.
We
also
house
the
game.
Officials
I,
don't
know
victory
Drive.
So
with
that
and
with
the
impact
of
the
tailgaters
they
come
to
town,
they
do
a
very
good
job
in
supporting
the
grocery
stores.
Here.
AC
They
also
support
the
beverage
locations
here,
so
so
in
there
they're
buying
some
gas
and
the
participants
do
really
well
and
coming
down
to
this
game,
particularly
this
year.
We're
really
excited
both.
Schools
have
new
presidents
and
I
am
excited
with
the
fact
that
the
for
your
information,
the
my
house
president,
this
year,
dr.
Thomas,
is
the
first
non
Morehouse
alumnus
to
ever
hold
our
presidency.
AC
He
came
from
yield,
so
we're
really
excited
to
bring
outside
in
to
show
him
what
it
is,
what
it's
like
to
be
a
maroon
tiger
but
and
I
had
a
chance
to
meet
two
skis.
President,
a
couple
weekends
ago,
she's
excited
about
coming
to
Columbus.
This
is
the
first
time
in
three
years
we
have
been
able
to
get
both
presidents
in
town
and
they
are
eagerly
awaiting
coming
to
Columbus
and
and
and
we're
excited
about,
showing
that
this
game
is
exciting.
AC
B
M
I'd,
like
for
Christopher
Anderson,
Shannon,
Brown
and
Terry
Evans
from
our
urban
forestry
to
come
out.
Please
and
anybody
who's
with
them
another
one
of
our
great
departments
here
in
the
city
that
helps
all
the
council
out.
A
lot
of
our
calls
that
we
have
in
the
forestry
to
billion.
Thanks
becomes
my
pleasure
to
read
this
proclamation.
M
AH
I
would
like
to
personally
thank
these
two
city
employees
and
their
other
counterparts
that
couldn't
be
here
tonight
just
to
personally
thank
them
for
their
efforts
and
how
they
responded
and
demonstrating
that
true
partnership
by
taking
care
of
one
of
our
employees,
just
as
if
you
were
one
of
their
own.
So
that's
all
I'd
like
to
say
thank
you.
We
really
appreciate
the
partnership
and
just
want
to
thank
them
for
their
efforts.
R
His
competence
and
professional
attributes
have
enabled
his
success
to
surpass
his
age
and
he
was
simultaneously
promoted
to
the
position

You

oh
I
appreciate
it.
It
is
a
very
rigorous
course.
You
learn
about
public

you
deal
with
other
communities
and
what
they
go
through
and
dealing
with
all
the
issues
that
the

me

We
really

hard

to
go
through
this,
so
we
appreciate
it.

R
This
tremendous
undertaking
has
only
seen
listen
to
this
folks.
A
hundred
and
forty
six
agencies,
out
of
more
than
30,000
in
North
America,
become
accredited
in
more
than
20
years
and
whereas
the
Columbus
consolidated
government's
Department
of
Public
Works
under
under
the
direction
of
Pat
Biegler,
was
evaluated
on
312
separate
practices
and
received
a
hundred
percent
compliance
status
in
each
area
of
emphasis.
R
AJ
I
would
like
to
say
a
little
bit
about
this
one.
This
is
a
big
deal.
That's
why
we
laid
a
big
fly,
that
this
isn't
a
recognition
that
your
Department
of
Public
Works
has
committed
to
professionalism
and
to
court
a
continuing
improvement
for
a
long
time.
They
started
this
effort
in
2014.
This
is
not
an
easy
effort.
They
had
to
write
three
hundred
and
some
policies
or
procedures,
and
then
they
had
to
start
using
them,
and
then
they
had
that
we
sent
it.
AJ
We
sent
a
team
here
and
they
had
to
prove
to
us
that
they
were
using
them
and
they
had
to
follow
the
best
practices
that
were
developed
by
people
across
the
whole
nation
and
the
people
that
came
here
weren't
secretaries.
They
were
other
public
works
directors
who
knew
what
they
were
looking
for
and
I
would
be
willing
to
bet.
They
found
some
stuff
this
and
that
that
won't
pass.
So
they
fix
it.
AJ
B
B
AG
AK
AB
Wish
that
the
whole
department
and
the
whole
team
could
be
here
to
accept
this
honor
because
it
took
the
whole
department
as
a
team
to
make
this
happen.
This
is
a
fat
piglet
of
this
is
Public
Works.
So
thank
you
to
each
and
every
one
of
you,
I
came
in
with
a
lot
of
new
ideas
and
a
lot
of
challenges,
and
when
you
do
that,
you
usually
get
a
huge
amount
of
pushback.
W

D
AM
AM
AB
Would
like
to
add
a
special
thanks
to
Tommy.
He
was
at
that
time,
just
a
correct.
Just
don't
I,
don't
don't
mean
it
in
that
way,
a
correctional
officer
and
we
tapped
into
his
talent
and
asked
him
to
take
this
on,
and
it
was
tough
because
we
were
trying
to
pull
together
the
last
most
difficult
parts
of
this
whole
process
and
he
stepped
up
to
the
plate
and
really
made
it
happen.
So
a
special
thank
you
and
a
special
applause
for
Tommy.
D
B
J
Had
a
chance
to
be
there
when,
when
the
Columbarium
was
like
its
first
opened,
and
it
was
a
that
was
a
wonderful
project,
I
mean
that
was
a
great
thing
that
y'all
did
for
for
those
people
that
are
interred
there.
So
thank
you
very
much
for
that
I
mean
now.
You
have
special
recognition
for
it.
So
that's
well-deserved
proclamation
reads:
whereas
the
Georgia
chapter
of
the
American
Public
Works
Association,
recognizes
individual
municipalities
for
their
special
projects.
J
This
recognition
was
for
the
best
project
structure
under
five
million
dollars
and
whereas
the
award
was
given
based
on
the
following
facts,
all
planning,
resourcing
and
construction
was
conducted
internally
within
the
department.
The
total
cost
of
construction
was
kept
only
twenty.
Eight
thousand
five
hundred
dollars
and
for
the
dedication
of
the
employees
throughout
the
process,
most
of
whom
were
veterans
themselves
and
where
has
all
citizens
of
Columbus,
Georgia

of
the
Columbus

government
recognized

the

to

I'm
the
awards
chair
for
the
Georgia
chapter
and
I,
can
tell
you
we
usually
vote
on
everything
and
sometimes
there's
a
tiebreaker.
This
was
hands
down
no
question.
There
were
many
projects
that
were
the
categories
under
five
million
dollars.
Many
kind
of
many
awards
that
were
submitted
that
were
above
what
the
cost
for
the
convair
was
and
the
sense
of
community
it
was
designed
in-house
that
was
conceived
in

It
was
built
in

made
a

I
want
to
thank

the
competition.
They
did
a
lot
of
behind
the
scenes
work
during
and
after
the
competition,
and
if
it
wasn't
for
their
hard
work,
then

and

these
awards.
Thank
you.

others.
Do
the
right
thing
and
possibly
influence
others
to
do
what
he
likes
to
do
find
the
river
treasure
and
whereas
every
time
Jake
finds
something
of
value
underwater
that
still
works,
he
tries
his
best
to
locate
the
original
owner
to
return
their
property.
Jake
also
carries
a
trash
bag.
M
Every
time
he
dives
to
pick
up
trash,
he
sees
along
the
way
and
whereas
every
time
Jake
has
found
a
gun,
he
contacts,
law
enforcement
and
the
weapon
over
Jake
believes
that
weapon
could
possibly
be
used.
In
a
criminal
case
to
help
in
some
way
and
whereas
Jake
hold
his
daily
goal,
is
to
go,
diving
show
off
good,
finds
on
YouTube
and
pick
up
trash
along
the
way
the
Chattahoochee
River
is
in
Jake's
backyard
and
his
pledge
to
help
keep
it
clean.

AN
Didn't
ask
for
this
day:
it
was
actually
a
you
know.
Someone
recommended
me
to
I,
don't
really
know
how
it
came
about,
but
I
feel
very
blessed
and
honored
to
be
here
today.
You
know-
and
it's
not
really
about
my
day,
it's
more
about
just
the
act
that
I
do
just
pick
up.
Trash
have
a
good
time
and
one
man's
trash
is
another
man's
treasure.
You
know,
so
that's
what
it's
all
about.
Just
try
to
influence
everyone
else
to
go
out.

Domestic

is
a
widespread
problem
in
Georgia,
where,
as
domestic

is
not
a
private

matter,
but
a
crime
that
violates
an
individual's
privacy,
dignity,
security
and
humanity
due
to
systemic,
systematic
use
of
physical,
emotional,
sexual,
psychological
and
economic
control.

Whereas
147

whereas
in
2017
Georgia
was
ranked
eighth
highest
in
the

for
its

killing
women,
whereas
nearly
one-third
of
women
in
Georgia
experienced
the

We
would
like
to
thank
you
for
recognizing
this
day
as
being
October
has
been
Domestic
Violence,
Awareness
Month.
It
is
very
challenging
doing
this
work,
but
we
can't
do
it
without
the
different
organizations
that
work
together.
We
work
together
to
try
to
fight
this
crime
because
it
is
a
crime
in
society
as
well
as
people,
and
at
this
time
we
have
so
much
stuff
going
on.
AP
As
you
see,
this
crime
is
getting
younger
as
it
continues
to
combat
in
our
community
and
all
over
the
world.

We
have
different
organizations
here.
They
will
introduce
themselves,
let
you
know
where
they're
actually
coming
from
and
how
we
work
together
to
try
to
fight
this
heinous
crime
and
help
the
people
that
are
reaching
out,
because
some
people,
it's
just
too
afraid
to
reach
out
it's.
AP
They
hide
behind
these
closed
doors,
but
we
are
here
to
help
and
some
people
just
don't
know
that
we
are
here
to
help.
Next
week
we
will
be
having
our
counter
light
vigil
and
we
would
like
to
invite
each
of
you
to
our
candlelight
vigil
it
is.
It
will
be
in
the
courtyard
of
the
Government
Center.
It
will
start
at

will
be

we
have
to

some
information
with

about

in
our

as
well
as
some

Hello,
thank
you
for
your
patience.
I
am
forever
singing
your
praises
and
your
group
don't
know
how
you
find
time
to
do
what
you
do
and
how
the
group
gets
together,
divide
up
to
conquer
and
get
around
but
you're
everywhere.
All
the
time
Amerigroup
has
been
everywhere
every
year,
and
so
many
people
depend
on
you
now,
whether
you
realize
it
or
not,
but
you
have
done,
and
your
group,
everybody
with
a
merit
group,
has
done
just
a
yeoman's
job
in
serving
Columbus
and
surrounding
counties.
N
This
event
has
been
designed
to
be
a
celebration
for
the
community
and
take
the
heart
stigma
off.
The
word
cancer,
so
people
are
empowered
to
educate
and
to
continue
to
fight
the
battle
and
whereas
we
should
encourage
individuals
from
our
community
to
come
and
gain
access
to
all
of
the
awesome
resources,
information,
vendors
and
ask
a
doctor
panel
that
has
been
made
available
at
one
time.
N
For
this
event,
whereas
future
perfect
event
was
started
five
years
ago
with
the
mayor
group,
Piedmont,
Columbus,
Regional,
Hospital
and
west
central
Georgia,
Cancer
Coalition,
coming
together
to
create
an
event
that
was
empowering
and
filled
with
love,
excitement
and
education
centered
around
the
center
around
cancer.
This
event
has
expanded
each
year
and
has
grown
in
the
tri-state
area,
with
resources
and
information
for
the
community
and
whereas
picture-perfect
event
will
continue
to
grow
for
the
families
in
the
tri-state
area
every
year
to
ensure
we
are
meeting
the
needs
of
the
community.
N
AK
Well,
we
want
to
thank
mayor

the
city
manager
and
all
of
the
council
members
that
are
present.
My
name
is

and
I
am
the
marketing
Account
Manager
for
a
mere
group.
This
is
an
event
that
we
have
worked
really
hard
together.
The
community
partners
that
are
with
me
imma,
let
them
introduce
themselves.
AK
We
all
know
at
least
one
person
that
has
been
affected
by
cancer,
and
it
is
a
word
that
no
one
really
wants
to
hear,
and
so
this
was
an
event
that
we
wanted
to
kind
of
lighten
the
mode.
When
you
hear
cancer
and
if
you've
never
been
to
the
event,
we
encourage
you
to
come
this
Saturday.
It
is
a
party
from
the
time
you
walk
in
the
door,
you're
talking
about
cancer
survivors,
those
going
through
treatment
that
are
littered
literally
fists
button.
AK
Each
other
saying
we
are
going
to
knock
this
thing
out
together
they
are
dancing,
they
are
singing
and
they're,
giving
each
other
life
and
that's
what
we
designed
the
event
to
be
very
positive
so
that
each
and
every
one
of
them
know
that
there's
life
on
the
other
side
and
to
give
them
that
extra
hope
to
keep
pushing.
So,
if
you
know
anyone
that
has
been
affected
join
us,
this
Saturday
at
10:00
a.m.
at
Piedmont,
Columbus,
Regional
Hospital.

Someone
asked
me
one
time
it
was
like
well,
why
do
you
go
back
and
I
told
them?
I
said
I
was
once
those
kids
I
grew
up
in
Wilson
up
from
from
elementary
to
high
school
and
those
kids
I
see
myself,
and
somebody
took
my
hand
and
led
me
out
of
there
and
six
years
ago,
I
had
a
three
year
old.
When
I
was
up
there
and
she
said
she
said
what
you
come
back.
Are
you
gonna
come
back
and
I
told
her
I
said
until
you
graduate
and
you
make
it
from
here.
AW
I
always
come
back
and
every
year
since
then
that
same,
look

She
meets
me
when
she
see
me
come
she
come
running
down

she
say
you

You
came
back
and
so
to
see
those
kids,

the
ones
that
I
start
with
in
elementary
and
to
go
on
high
school,
to
see
them
get
to
high
school
and
to
go
on.
It
brings
joy,
you
know,
and
the
kids
that
I
did
foster.
You
know
six

they
all
graduated
out
of
Muscogee

and
each
one
of
them
when
they
graduated.
