council.
B
We
we've
got
a
lot
of
a
lot
of
folks
to
acknowledge
tonight
and
a
lot
of
business
to
do,
and
we
appreciate
you
being
here
with
us
as
we
undertake
those
those
initiatives
we're
going
to
begin
as
we
always
do
and
that's
by
asking
god's
presence
on
our
proceedings
here.
So
I'm
going
to
ask
west
stenson
of
winbrook
baptist
church
of
columbus
to
come
up
and
give
us
a
prayer
and
come
to
the
podium.
Sir.
C
Thank
you
all
so
much
for
having
me
here
tonight.
Let's
go
to
the
lord
in
prayer
this
evening,
lord
god.
First
of
all,
we
want
to
come
to
you
and
thank
you
so
much
for
just
allowing
us
to
be
here
this
evening.
C
Well,
we
understand
that
you
are
sovereign
over
all
things
and
that
you
preside
over
our
getting
up
in
the
mornings
and
are
going
to
sleep
in
the
evenings
and
without
any
measure
of
your
grace.
We
just
wouldn't
be
here.
Our
bodies
wouldn't
work,
our
lungs
wouldn't
take
in
air.
We
wouldn't
be
able
to
see
and
touch
and
enjoy
the
things
that
you
have
given
us
to
enjoy.
C
So
lord,
we
thank
you
for
this
grace
just
to
simply
be
here
this
evening.
Lord.
I
also
want
to
praise
you
for
who
you
are
lord.
Your
word
tells
us
that
you
are
holy.
You
are
gracious.
You
are
patient
and
loving
and
kind,
and
merciful
lord.
It
also
tells
us
that
you
are
a
just
god
and
we,
as
humans
are
left
in
a
tough
spot
by
that,
because
it
also
tells
us
that
we're
all
sinners
and
we've
all
fallen
short
of
your
glory
and
as
such,
we're
under
your
judgment
in
your
wrath.
C
C
Lord,
I
do
pray
for
all
of
the
men
and
the
women
in
this
city.
Council,
lord,
the
bible
tells
us
that
all
authority
is
given
by
you
and
since
all
authority
is
given
by
you,
I
pray
that
you
give
them
wisdom
that
they
need
to
preside
over
the
challenges
that
this
city
faces
over
the
coveted
pandemic
and
all
of
the
other
issues
that
are
on
the
docket
for
tonight.
C
B
Wes,
thank
you.
We
appreciate
you
sharing
those
words
according
to
your
faith,
tradition,
and
we
do
have
some
excellent
student
athletes
that
will
be
recognizing
from
from
your
your
your
church
and
your
school
shortly
right
now,
if
you
would
please
stand
and
join
me
in
our
pledge
to
our
flag.
B
Counselors,
the
minutes
of
the
september
14
meeting
have
been
distributed
if
you've
had
an
opportunity
to
review
those
we'll
entertain
a
motion
to
approve
them
motion
to
prove
from
councillor
woodson's.
Second
from
councillor
house,
any
discussion
any
edits
all
right,
all
in
favor,
please
say
aye
any
opposed
all
right,
they're
approved
all
right.
Very,
very
briefly.
You
know
we,
it
is
our
practice.
We
we
try
to
give
you
an
update
on
how
our
community
is
faring
under
the
pandemic.
As
we
continue
to
move
forward,
science
continues
to
advance.
B
Our
numbers
have
receded.
They
are
going
down.
They
are
trending
downward
slowly.
Some
of
the
pressure
is
being
eased
a
bit
on
our
hospitals.
We
are
we're
down
to
about
123
or
four
patients
who
are
diagnosed
with
covid.
B
From
from
an
anecdotal
perspective,
my
communication
with
the
individuals
at
the
hospitals
indicate
that,
while
the
numbers
are
going
down,
the
symptoms
are
much
more
acute,
so
we
are
putting
a
a
bigger
strain.
There
are
fewer
folks
there,
but
we're
putting
a
bigger
strain
on
our
icu
rooms
and
on
the
ventilators.
B
One
of
the
one
of
the
casualties
of
covet
has
been
that
we
just
don't
get
an
opportunity
to
recognize
people
in
our
community,
particularly
the
young
people
in
our
community
who
excel
and-
and
that's
that's
out
of
an
abundance
of
caution.
But
we
do
bring
one
in
every
once
in
a
while
when
they
have
excelled
in
in
either
academics
or
athletic
athletics.
B
So
we're
fortunate
to
have
with
us
today
the
winbrook
christian
school
warrior
archery
high
school,
and
these
these
folks
I
had
a
chance
to
to
show
up
and
watch
them
do
what
they
do,
and
man
they're
they're,
pretty
dead,
gum.
Good.
I'm
telling
you
so
you're
going
to
hear
more
about
that
and
I've
got
counselor
house
if
you
hit
your
button
and
if
we
could
get
the
coach
and
the
participants
on
the
team
to
come
up
to
the
podium
and
kind
of
gather
up
here
so
that
we
can
honor.
You.
D
The
team
also
completed
many
service
hours
working
in
the
community
and
whereas
the
team
is
composed
of
head
coach,
brad,
bullock,
aaliyah
corzine,
ali

benjamin

carolyn,

candice,
hausel,
clint,
housel,
chuck,
ramber
and
michael
wood,
and
I
apologize
for
any
names.
D
I
messed
up
in
all
that,
whereas
the
mayor
and
city
council
of
columbus
georgia
recognized
the
accomplishments
and
extended
deepest
congratulations
to
the
winbrook
christian
school
warrior.
Archery
team
now,
therefore
bhc
penderson
iii,
mayor
of
columbus,
georgia,
does
hereby
proclaim
tuesday
september
28
2021
as
wynn
book
wren,
winbrook
christian
school
warrior,
archery
high
school
day.
E
Yeah,
first
of
all,
on
behalf
of
myself,
the
coaching
staff,
all
the
parents
of
these
archers,
but,
most
importantly,
these
student
athletes
that
stand
before
you
today
to
to
mr
mayor
to
the
other
city
council
members.
We
thank
you
for
this
opportunity.
We
thank
you
for
your
support.
We
thank
you
for
the
opportunity
to
have
this
this,
the
sport
in
the
county
and
to
go
forward
and
just
we.
E
We
appreciate
the
recognition
of
not
only
the
sport,
but
also
for
these
kids
and
the
hard
work
that
they
have
put
into
it,
because
they
do
they
put
in
countless
hours
on
the
archery
range
traveling
to
tournaments,
doing
things
not
only
representing
our
school
and
our
families
well,
but
representing
the
columbus
community.
So
again,
thank
you
all
very
much
for
this
honor
and
thank
you
for
recognizing
the
team
for
their
accomplishments.
B
Then
she
crowded
me
and
told
me
about
the
archery
team
and
I
was
so
impressed
with
what
y'all
do
y'all
reflect
so
well
on
columbus,
we're
so
proud
of
you
and
go
win
another
one.
You
know
so
hey
before
I
let
you
go.
I
do
have
to
do
this,
though.
Eli
raise
your
hand,
you
have
no
idea
what
this
young
man
has
had
to
overcome.
B
His
grandfather's
glenn
davis,
and
I
promised
he
might
embarrass
him.
Congratulations
tell
him,
I
embarrassed
you.
We
all
do
me
a
favor.
We
can't
shake
hands
like
we
want
to,
but
we'll
put
our
masks
on
y'all
come
up
here.
One
time
we'll
give
you
a
little
fist
bump
and
I'll
hand.
The
coach
come
on
the
proclamations.
F
B
Next,
we
have
a
proclamation
for
communities
in
motion
day
and
rosa
evans
from
metra
is
going
to
come
up
and
receive
that.
And
if
you
want
to
bring
any
of
your
folks
with
you,
you're
welcome
too,
and
I'm
going
to
turn
the
mike
over
to
councilor
tucker.
I
J
J
It's
been
celebrated
by
transit
systems
across
the
country
that
it
it
highlights
the
importance
of
public
transit
and
its
vital
role
in
our
communities,
and
we
need
support
of
public
transit,
and
it's
enough
it
gives
us
an
opportunity
to
serve
and
to
say
to
our
customers
who
use
public
transit.
Thank
you
so
much
for
your
patronage
of
public
transit.
It
gives
us
an
opportunity
to
recognize
our
employees,
essential
workers
non-essential
for
their
dedicated
service.
J
We
get
to
serve
it's
a
privilege
for
us
to
be
able
to
serve
this
community,
and
so
on
this
day,
it's
a
big
event
for
us
at
the
transfer
center
at
814
lynnwood
boulevard
and
we're
going
to
also
incorporate
on
that
day
a
huge
integrated
system
of
its
it's
a
rollout
of
the
latest
and
the
greatest
its
that
this
city
has
ever
seen
in
public
transit
with
wi-fi
on
buses,
bus,
locator,
app
where
our
customers
can
locate
the
bus
while
they're
at
a
bus
stop.
It
will
also
have
a
special
widget.
J
If
a
person
wants
to
know
how
to
get
from
point
a
to
point
b,
it
will
show
them
all
of
the
options
of
how
to
connect
with
other
buses.
So
we're
really
excited
about
it,
and
so
this
event
is
again
on
on
october
next,
tuesday
october,
the
5th
from
11
a.m.
Until
2pm
at
the
transfer
center
and
the
health
departments,
our
local
health
department
will
be
on
location
to
give
vaccines
free
vaccines.
J
So
we
invite
each
of
you
not
just
our
public,
not
just
our
customers
who
ride
with
us
every
day,
but
we're
inviting
everyone
to
come
out
and
just
try
transit.
We
have
four
new
buses
that
arrived
yesterday
and
today,
so
we're
inviting
you
to
come
out
and
celebrate
this
with
us
because
we're
excited
I
do
want
to
recognize
some
of
our
employees
and
it's
not
everybody,
but
who
worked
so
hard
to
make
this
happen.
J
Robert
sheridan,
I
want
to
give
him
special
recognition,
this
its
integrated
system.
He
took
it
and
he
ran
with
it.
So
I
want
to
thank
robert
and
if
I
would
like
to
allow
him
to
receive
the
proclamation
for
all
of
his
hard
work
and
dedication,
he
is
awesome.
He's
our
transit
compliance
officer.
Monique
jackson
is
our
chief
safety
officer
and
they're
a
great
team,
and
we
appreciate
it
and
thank
you
all
for
your
support.
Council
of
public
transit.
B
Rosa
you
know
every
everybody
knows
how
difficult
it's
been
over
the
last
two
years
to
deliver
services
and
no
service
has
been
more
of
a
challenge
to
try
to
make
sure.
Is
there
because
people
needed
it
to
get
to
work
to
the
hospital
in
other
places,
as
as
our
transit
system
and
the
job
you
and
your
people
did
this
year
is
nothing
short
of
heroic.
I
just
want
to
tell
you
how
much
we
appreciate
it
all
right.
Robert
come
up
here,
we'll
give
the
proclamation.
B
All
right,
counselor
woodson,
has
asked
for
a
point
of
personal
privilege,
so
we're
going
to
pass
the
mic
to
her.
K
I
know
that
our
city
manager
used
to
be
that
department
head,
but
y'all,
showing
him
off
y'all
doing
a
fantastic
job,
bringing
up
technology
getting
the
buses
answering
our
citizens
needs
y'all,
are
doing
an
awesome
time,
awesome
job
and
you,
as
the
leader
I
from
the
bottom
of
my
heart.
Thank
you.
Thank
you.
Now.
My
point
of
privilege
was
that
I
wanted
to
on
behalf
of
the
tri-city
latino
festival
I
wanted
to
tell
our
citizens
and
the
civic
center
rob
leonard
lisa
goodwin.
K
I
want
to
thank
judy
and
house
and
everyone
tucker
who
came
out
to
visit
hof
who's
always
supported
us
also.
We
want
to
say
thank
you
from
the
bottom
of
our
heart.
When
we
did
the
tri-city
latino
festival
this
year,
we
weren't
sure
if
we
were
going
to
do
it
because
of
covet
everything
going
on,
but
the
demand
of
the
citizens
asking
us
to
have
it
and
the
outstanding
job
that
the
civic
center
was
able
to
give
us
a
plan
to
execute
it.
K
With
the
support
of
the
mayor
at
the
press
conference,
he
had
all
of
us
in
tears
with
his
words
and
then
in
the
grand
in
the
opening
ceremony.
We
were
blessed
and
it's
been
about
a
couple
years
since
we've
had
our
mayor
mayor,
lowe
there
and
the
general
all
there
to
give
greetings.
It
was
just
so
amazing
and
we
had
a
successful
festival.
One
of
our
our
board
members
was
upset
because
we
took
it
inside,
but
at
the
end
of
the
day
we
had
a
beautiful
day.
K
At
the
end,
when
it
rained,
we
were
able
to
go
into
the
civic
center.
All
our
vendors
sold
out
their
food.
They
had
nothing
to
take
home.
We
had
several
new
vendors
that
came
to
columbus
for
the
first
time
from
south
carolina
and
north
carolina
and
they
loved
our
city,
and
they
said
they
wanted
to
be
back
next
year.
K
We
made
sure
we
follow
cdc
coats
and
we
had
close
to
9500
people
in
and
out.
All
the
parking
lot
was
full.
Everyone
was
good.
We
didn't
add
to
the
numbers
that
was
mentioned
today,
so
we
ended
up
with.
We
never
had
this
many
sponsors
before
so
we
were
excited,
we
ended
up
with
41
sponsors
and
the
sponsor
race
started
like
500
and
up,
and
some
people
just
donated
some
money
to
secure
the
success.
K
So
if
I
get
teary-eyed,
I'm
sorry,
this
is
really
important
to
us
and
thanks
to
all
the
beautiful
hearts
of
columbus
georgia,
my
colleagues
here
lisa's
leadership
and
bob
and
rob
and
his
team
ron-
I
don't
want
to
miss
him
and
brian.
They
work
so
hard.
Thank
you.
We
as
the
latino
community
feel
honored
and
privileged
to
be
in
this
community
and
to
receive
that
warmth
of
all
our
citizens
to
come
together
in
a
multicultural
event.
Thank
you
mayor,
thank.
L
Councillor
woodson,
thank
you
so
much
to
you
and
the
tri-city
latino
festival,
committee
and
group
us
sponsoring
from
the
house.
International
funeral
home
has
been
a
joy
over
the
years,
but
I
thought
the
planning
was
just
exquisite
this
year.
As
far
as
anticipation
of
everything
that
could
happen
and
then,
where
we
were
at
our
booth,
we
could
watch
the
vendors
outside
as
the
rain
was
coming.
They
had
to
tense
up
already.
They
moved
the
tents
in
place
and
they
continued
to
sell
food.
Nothing
ever
stopped,
so
everything
was
handled
very
well.
L
B
Thank
you,
councilman
councillor,
woodson
to
you
and
the
board
the
committee
that
put
this
on
y'all
man,
I'm
telling
you
that
was
a
ton
of
work
and
it
really
it
really
it
paid
off,
because
I
thought
the
I
thought
the
presentation
was
awesome
and
moving
it
inside.
I
think
it
was
a
smart
move.
B
Obviously
it
was
validated
by
the
rain
coming
down
later
in
the
afternoon,
but
but
it
was
great-
and
I
think,
like
you
said,
I
think
all
the
vendors
of
the
folks
were
enjoying
the
food
and
went
inside
and
enjoyed
a
lot
of
the
stuff
that
they
were
selling
in
there
too.
So
congratulations
on
another
great
event.
B
To
the
team
to
the
team,
all
right,
we
do
have
an
audit
we're
going
to
get
to
donna.
You
want
to
come
on
up
we'll,
go
ahead
and
do
this.
This
shouldn't
take
very
long.
M
M
Share
with
you
all,
this
is
a
limited
scope,
audit
that
was
recently
completed
in
the
probate
court
office
and
kind
of
moving
right
along
here.
Let's
see
here,
the
audit
was
authorized
on
may
11th
of
this
year
and
you
should
have
actually
the
report
in
front
of
each
of
you
and
the
steps
along
the
way,
basically
met
with
judge,
d'antonio
and
and
his
team
went
through
the
conduct
of
the
field
work
and
met
with
them
gave
them
an
opportunity
to,
of
course,
respond
to
the
field
work
that
had
been
completed.
M
Let
them
look
over
the
the
finalized
report
and
the
actual
scope
of
the
work
went
through
daily
observation
of
the
the
work
in
estates
and
wills,
passports,
marriage
certificates,
weapons
permits
and
passports
went
through
weekly
observations
of
summary
reconciliations
bank
deposit
preparations,
went
through
month-end,
closing
bank
reconciliations
and
the
payment
of
their
their
invoicing
and
and
handling
of
their
approved
vendors,
and
what
I
found
in
their
findings.
M
Their
controls
were
effective,
their
leadership
team
was
doing
a
great
job
and
actually,
what
led
to
their
request
of
this
audit
to
begin
with,
were
some
concerns
that
they
had
when
they
initially
went
on
board
with
the
tyler
products.
They
went
on
board
with
odyssey
and
eagle
recorder,
and
they
did
well
with
odyssey
from
from
day
one.
M
They
did
some
struggling
initially
with
eagle
recorder,
because
eagle
recorder
as
a
product
was
originally
designed
for
real
estate
deeds
and
they
were
using
it
for
marriage
certificates
and
weapons
permits.
So
they
were,
you
know,
modifying
the
product
initially
and
there
was
a
bit
of
a
learning
curve
there.
M
So
through
the
initial
challenges
service
is
improving
a
good
bit
the
back
end
of
of
the
findings,
the
recommendations
encouraging
the
team
they're
doing
a
great
job
that
they
keep
it
ccgit
leadership
keep
them
in
the
loop
when
they're
filing
work
orders
when,
when
they're,
reaching
out
to
tyler
for
help
and
they've
done
a
really
good
job
along
the
way
in
terms
of
keeping
shane
and
keeping
forest
in
the
loop
they've
done
nicely
with
that,
but
also
they've
built
a
little
bit
of
a
tyler
user
group
across
the
state
with
other
probate
court
offices
and
to
their
credit
they've
got
a
little
bit
of
a
buddy
system
going
where
they
help
other
probate
court
offices
that
tend
to
have
some
of
those
struggles
with
tyler
recorder,
because
it's
not
a
natural
fit
for
those
marriage
certificates
and
weapons
permits
that's
a
little
bit
of
a
short
side
but
they're
getting
better
daily.
M
So
at
basically
the
bottom
line,
they're
doing
a
great
job.
It
was
a
thorough
audit
and
and
they're
a
good
leadership
team.
I
want
y'all
to
know
that
things
are
well
there.
The
audit
response
you'll
see
in
your
packet.
M
K
Yes,
when
you
say
that
tyler
software
or
support,
what
is
that,
is
that
something
a
program
that
we
purchase
that
we
purchased
to
assist
probate
court
is
that.
M
What
that
is
basically,
within
the
last
two
or
three
years,
we
have
purchased
a
number
of
tyler
products
and
we
have
gone
through
some
system.
Conversions,
where
a
lot
of
our
court
systems,
for
instance,
have
gone
on
board
with
odyssey
products,
for
instance,
as
opposed
to
leaving
old
mainframe
systems.
K
So
it's
just
a
conversion
right
hiccups
that
are
occurring
a.
B
N
M
O
What
do
you
want
me
to
do
the
difference
with
the
tyler
prod,
the
two
tyler
products
had
to
do
with
the
implementation
teams.
The
odyssey
team
spent
an
awful
lot
of
time
learning
how
our
systems
work.
The
eagle
team
was
quite
dismissive
and
more
or
less
said.
This
is
what
you're
getting
and
you're
going
to
have
to
live
with
it,
and
they
didn't
know
me
very
well
to
because
that's
not
how
that's
not
how
that
works.
O
We're
still
working
through
some
pimples
on
that
product
and,
as
miss
mcginnis
said,
I've
been
in
valdosta
went
live
with
the
product
after
me,
I
I
I've
raised
holy
hell
with
them.
To
be
honest
with
you
to
get
where
we
are.
O
It's
there's
still
some
problems
with
the
system,
but
we
went
live
with
the
eagle
gun
and
marriage
license
program
on
may
18
2020..
I
don't
know
if
that
date
rings
a
bell
to
anyone.
That
was
the
day
we
reopened
for
the
city
and
with
and
with
all
the
problems
we
might
have
encountered
over
the
past
year
and
a
half
that
truly
have
perhaps
aged
me
a
little
bit
without
the
city's
foresight
and
the
I.t
department's
foresight
to
upgrade
our
systems.
We
would
have
had
such
a
harder
time
during
covid.
O
O
I
appeared
before
you
in
may
and
at
that
time
I
projected
that
we
would
have
5
000
weapons
carry
licenses
in
2021
we're
going
to
be
way
over
that,
but
I
do
appreciate
miss
mcginnis.
I
appreciate
everything
I
was
concerned
because
we
had
to
implement
extra,
say:
tyler,
eagle
and
tyler
odyssey's
back
end.
Finance
systems
do
not
talk
to
each
other
nicely,
and
so
that's
actually
why
I
requested
the
auditors
come
in
because
we
had
to
do
some
workarounds
related
to
making
sure
our
closeouts
are
something
that
is
copacetic
with
the
finance
department.
O
But
again,
I
really
do
appreciate
you
all.
I
appreciate
miss
mcginnis
and
you
can
come
by
and
get
your
weapons
carry
license
or
your
marriage
license
from
8
30
to
4
o'clock
monday
through
friday
and
complete
most
of
the
work
online
thanks
to
this
tyler
product.
That's
a
pain
in
the
back
end,
but
sounds.
B
L
Josh
deantonio
right
here,
thank
you
yeah!
Thank
you
for
all
your
hard
work
and
everything
and
I'm
glad
the
audit
helped
out,
but
yeah.
We
did
receive
a
lot
of
calls
and
did
contact
you
and
you
explained
to
me
what
was
going
on.
So
I
just
appreciate
your
effort
and
the
community
was
trying
to
figure
out.
You
know
how
do
I
legally,
you
know
renew
my
gun
permit
in
time
so
that
I'm
not
breaking
the
law.
So
no
one
has.
F
Just
one
thing
for
the
judge,
and
then
I
have
something
else.
Mr
mayor,
when
I
worked
in
the
mayor's
office
across
the
hall
from
the
probate
court,
I
tried
to
get
the
probate
court
to
institute
a
discount.
If
you
get
a
gun,
carry
and
a
marriage
license
at
the
same
time,
and
they
wouldn't
do
that.
B
F
Mayor,
I
have
a
couple
of
things
that
I
would
like
to
to
bring
to
council's
attention.
One
is,
I
have
seen
on
social
media
in
the
last
couple
of
days
where
the
governor
is
going
to
give
a
thousand
dollar
bonus
to
public
safety,
to
firefighters,
police
officers,
deputies,
court
personnel.
F
I
hope
we're
first
in
line,
because
our
guys
and
gals
in
those
departments
certainly
deserve
that
thousand
dollar
bonus
for
all
that
they
did
during
the
covid
build
up
and,
and
that
sort
of
thing,
so
I
just
want
to
make
sure
that
we're
we're
on
top
of
that
piece.
The
second
thing
is
that
I
would
like
to
request
that
council
have
a
conversation
at
our
october
12th
meeting
about
our
meeting
agenda.
F
I
talked
with
several
counselors
about
the
agenda
that
we
had
two
weeks
ago
and
the
some
of
the
concerns,
particularly
because
the
the
agenda
was
so
long.
We
had
people
who
had
to
leave
because
of
other
commitments
and
the
quorum
was
in
danger,
but
I'd
like
for
us
to
have
a
conversation
about
how
we
do
that.
F
I
noticed,
for
example,
mr
city
manager,
on
your
agenda.
The
last
time
there
were
nine
updates
every
one
of
those
updates
needed
to
be
presented
and
every
one
of
those
updates
had
been
designed
by
our
staff
and
every
one
of
those
updates.
The
staff
person
who
started
said
in
the
interest
of
time.
I'm
going
to
be
real
brief.
F
Well,
I
don't
want
you
to
be
real
brief.
I
want
you
to
be
thorough,
and
so
you
know
some
of
those
kinds
of
things
I'd
like
for
us
to
look
at.
I
think
your
your
office
and
your
meeting
of
that
on
that
meeting
day
was
right
on
it.
Just
was
not
enough
time
for
us
to
do
what
we
want
to
do
and
I'd
like
for
us
to
have
a
conversation
about
how
do
we?
How
do
we
deal
with
that?
Going
four
and
a
half
and
five
hours
on
tuesday
night
can
get
rough.
F
So
you
know,
maybe
we
need
to
take
another
look
at
the
first
two
I
mean
yeah,
the
first
tuesday
meeting
and
reinstitute
that
and
institute
it
as
a
as
a
business
meeting
and
have
some
of
those
reports
that
we
need
to
have
in
order
to
do
our
business,
our
job
as
a
city
councilor
and
then
the
the
third
thing
that
I
would
like
for
us
to
take
a
look
at,
and
I'm
not
sure
if
it's,
mr
mayor,
if
it's
your
office
or
if
it's
the
city,
manager's
office,
I
got
an
email
in
the
last
day
or
so
about
the
meeting
for
the
hometown
connection
where
we
meet
with
our
state
delegation
to
talk
about
the
legislative
agenda.
F
That
meeting
currently
is
planned
to
be
a
virtual
meeting.
I'd
like
for
whomever
the
proper
person
is
to
take
another
look
at
that
and
to
see.
If
we
can
do
that
as
an
in-person
meeting,
we
typically
over
the
years
have
had
lunch.
We
don't
necessarily
have
to
have
lunch
for
that,
but
I
think
our
conversation
is
much
more
is
much
easier
if
we
are
in
person
rather
than
if
we
are
virtual.
F
So,
just
if
you
just
take
another
look
at
it
and
see
if
there's,
I
think
I
know
that
one
of
the
reasons
is
the
six
foot
social
distancing,
but
I
think
there
are
plenty
of
places
around
town
that
we
could
meet
that
we
could
be.
We
could
have
the
observation,
so
if
you
guys
would
just
take
another
look
at
it
and
then
one
last
thing
I
read
on
line
two
that
the
house
of
representatives
congressional
house
of
representatives
has
passed
legislation
to
name
the
v.a
clinic
on
river
road.
F
After
former
mayor
bob
porter
chef,
we
are
waiting.
They
are
waiting
for
the
senate
to
take
similar
action.
I
was
telling
these
folks
over
here.
It's
it's
really
a
shame
that
mayor
porter
chef's,
not
here,
he'd,
be
way
up
here
somewhere.
You
know
and
he
deserves
every
bit
of
that
recognition,
but
just
keep
an
eye
out
for
for
that
naming
of
the
va
clinic.
Thank
you,
mr
mayor.
Absolutely.
B
Thank
you,
ma'am,
we'll
check
into
those
other
items
that
you've
identified,
I'm
gonna,
I'm
gonna,
pull
up.
I
think
the
city
manager
at
his
request,
I'm
gonna,
pull
up
item
number
one
from
his
agenda
and
item
number
three
from
the
city
attorney's
agenda
as
you.
As
you
know,
council
has
been
evaluating
a
number
of
options
in
response
to
some
issues
we've
had
with
with
the
government
center.
B
Millions
of
dollars
have
been
spent
on
that
facility.
Just
over
the
last
few
years,
we've
had
to
correct
some
flaws
in
the
design.
Some
fixed
and
failing
systems
and
we've
had
to
address
some
life
safety
issues
as
well
and,
frankly,
there's
no
reason
to
think
that
those
responsibilities
are
going
to
cease
as
we
move
forward.
So
council's
been
working
on
a
number
of
options,
we've
done
it
very
publicly.
B
We,
as
we
were
presented
with
some
of
the
costs
of
the
construction
of
a
judicial
facility
that
would
accommodate
our
court
needs
and
a
space
for
general
government
came
clear,
pretty
quick
that
we
needed
to
find
a
way
to
economize
to
lower
the
cost
that
was
first
presented
to
us.
So
this
council
went
to
work
and
one
of
the
things
we
did
was.
B
We've
looked
at
a
number.
We
looked
at
a
number
of
buildings
throughout
throughout
the
community,
but
when
we,
when
we
learned
that
there
was
a
possibility
that
cenovas
may
be
interested
in
reinvesting
in
a
site
another
site
here
in
columbus,
we
thought
well
man.
B
That's
that's
like
the
best
news
ever
because
their
building's
available
and
they're
not
leaving
so
so
we
we,
we
began
negotiations
just
kind
of
informative,
informal
talks
at
first
just
trying
to
determine
what
all
was
involved
in
in
that
it
became
obvious
after
our
folks
looked
at
not
only
the
snowbust
building,
but
also
these
other
buildings,
and
we
had
folks
from
our
real
estate
team.
B
We
had
our
engineers,
we
had
our
plumbers,
our
electricians,
that
would
go
into
all
of
these
different
buildings
and
kind
of
look
around
and
give
us
give
us
some
advice,
and
it
became
pretty
evident
fairly
quickly
that
the
by
far
the
best
option
for
us
was
the
synovis
building
and
several
factors
made
it.
I
think
one
of
the
well
not
one
of
but
the
the
best
option,
one's
the
amount
of
space.
B
If
council
votes
to
approve-
and
another
thing,
I
think
that
is
very
important
to
us-
is
that
with
sonova's
considering
very
heavily-
and
we
have
the
ceo
here
and
I'm
going
to
ask
him
to
make
a
few
comments
after
after
city
manager
goes
through
some
some
information
that
he's
prepared,
but
with
them
making
a
decision
to
perhaps
invest
in
another
location.
B
You
know
it
raises
the
possibility
that
that
that
corner
could
go
empty
until
it
could
be
reconfigured
and
released,
or
very
few,
if
any
other
organization
that
would
be
able
to
purchase
that
size
of
a
facility
so
to
be
able
to
continue
the
momentum
that
columbus
has
and
not
let
that
that
area
in
the
middle
of
uptown
that
our
the
heartbeat
of
our
community
go
empty.
It's
it
was
another
big
big
advantage,
and
the
other
piece
of
this
is
as
you'll
hear
as
the
city
manager
goes
through.
B
We
feel
like
the
financing
that
we're
intending
to
utilize,
along
with
some
renegotiation,
that
we
have
an
opportunity
to
engage
in,
is
going
to
make
it
a
neutral
transaction.
So
there'll
be
no
increase
in
any
kind
of
tax
and
it
keeps
it
off
the
splost.
It
keeps
it
off
some
some
of
the
other
financing
areas.
So
it's
a
win-win-win
in
my
mind.
It's
a
win,
of
course
for
the
government.
It's
a
win
for,
I
think
cenovas
and
it's
certainly
a
win
for
the
taxpayers
of
columbus.
P
Thank
you,
mr
mayor
and
two
members
of
council.
I
know
that
you
have
not
seen
me
stand
at
this
podium
to
present
to
you
in
16
years,
probably-
and
I
would
not
be
standing
here
tonight
to
present
to
you,
but
I
received
this
phone
call
as
I
was
getting
out
of
the
car
and
the
deputy
city
manager,
who
was
scheduled
to
stand
here.
P
P
Lisa
goodwin
is
going
to
do
it,
and
so
I
decided
I
would
come
down
and
talk
to
you
today,
but
on
the
city
manager's
agenda,
my
agenda,
I
am
going
to
ask
you
to
approve
my
executing
a
purchase
and
sales
agreement
for
approximately
3.5
acres,
including
the
634
space
parking
garage
that
the
mayor
talked
about
and
that's
about
200,
roughly
and
50
000
square
feet
of
property.
P
That's
on
the
screen
there,
it's
the
sonova's
building-
and
you
know
we're
talking
about
between
broadway
and
first
avenue,
but
the
mayor
has
really
summed
it
up
during
the
evaluation
of
the
government
center
options
that
we
talked
to
you
about
a
number
of
different
times
and
we
went
out
to
three
public
meetings
and
we
talked
about
government
center
options.
P
We
looked
at
the
possibility
of
separating
the
judicial
component
and
administration.
We
review
that
and
you
heard
the
the
mayor
mentioned,
that
alternative
locations
for
administration
was
studied
to
consider
repurposing
an
existing
facility
and
separating
that
from
the
courts
from
the
judicial
center
government
center
assessment
consultants
performed
this
space
and
facility
assessments
assessment
on
several
properties.
As
you
heard,
the
mayor
mentioned,
we
looked
at
multiple
properties.
P
Space
parking
deck,
that's
one
block
away
from
the
government
center
that
was
important
to
us,
ample
expansion,
space
and
flexibility.
That's
important
to
us!
You
heard
the
mayor
mentioned
all
of
what
could
move
from
the
annex,
building
that
we
acquired
some
years
ago
from
teases.
I
think
we
paid
2
million
dollars.
We
can
move
those
people
out
of
that
building
into
this
building,
because
there's
plenty
of
space,
but
ample
expansion,
space
and
flexibility,
potential
savings
of
furniture.
P
They
have
furniture
in
there
that
much
of
it
they
will
allow
us
to
maintain
or
keep
that
furniture.
That's
in
there
that's
higher
quality
and
better
than
the
furniture
we
use
in
the
government
today,
but
quality
of
construction
and
renovations.
You
know
over
the
years
they've
renovated
their
quality
is
not
what
our
quality
would
be
and
and
so
the
quality
of
construction
and
renovations
and
the
facility
condition
they've
maintained
the
facility.
P
Well,
so
3.5
acres,
250
000
square
feet,
roughly
the
parking
deck
634
spaces,
there's
the
main
office
and
and
you
can
see
the
square
footage
on
the
screen,
56
700
square
feet
at
the
main
office,
the
uptown
center
bradley,
building
the
jordan
building
and
then,
of
course,
again.
The
parking
deck-
and
these
are.
This
is
just
showing
you
the
boundaries
of
that
space.
But
you
can
see
between
broadway
and
first
avenue
on
the
screen.
P
You
can
see
where
the
main
building
the
bradley
building
the
jordan
building.
Many
of
us
don't
know
those
names,
but
this
will
help
you
with
that
the
uptown
center
and
then,
of
course,
you
know
the
parking
facility
right
there
between
11th
and
12th
on
first
but
again,
the
main
office
you're
familiar
with
this
building
the
bradley
building,
the
jordan
building
the
uptown
center
and
then,
of
course,
the
parking
facility.
P
The
general
terms
of
the
agreement
that
we've
negotiated
would
be
25
million
dollars
with
a
closing
date.
No
later
than
march
2022.
P
The
occupancy
would
come
so
novice
to
vacate
uptown
center
bradley
and
jordan
building
no
later
than
july,
31st
2022
sonova's
to
vacate
the
main
office
no
later
than
july,
31st
2024.
P
We
would
enter
into
a
lease
agreement.
It's
what
I'm
asking
you
to
also
approve
tonight
and
that
lease
agreement
would
be
for
five
hundred
thousand
dollars,
and
so
that
would
reduce
the
net
purchase
price
from
25
000
to
24
500,
based
on
them
leasing
that
space
through
july
31st
2024
again,
that's
those
are
various
building
locations
that
I've
mentioned
the
funding
source,
we're
talking
about
issuance
of
approximately
50
million
dollars
in
columbus
building
authority,
bonds
for
the
acquisition
and
renovation
of
the
buildings,
and
that
would
leave
us
with
a
debt
service.
P
That's
estimated
at
0.50
meals,
but
no
overall
millage
rate
increase.
As
you
heard,
the
mayor
mentioned.
No
overall
millage
rate
increase
is
anticipated,
beginning
in
fiscal
year,
23.,
so
administrative
use
of
the
facility
you
heard
the
mayor
mentioned,
you
heard
me
mention
the
department's
plan
to
relocate
from
the
government
center
would
be
the
mayor's
office
city,
manager's
office,
city,
attorney's
office,
finance,
department,
human
resources,
information
technology,
clerk
of
counsel's
office
department's
planned
to
relocate
from
the
air.
P
Next
would
be
engineering
inspections
and
codes
planning,
department,
community,
reinvestment
print
shop,
cooperative
extension,
workforce
investment,
other
administrative
offices
or
departments
to
be
evaluated
include,
but
not
limited
to
public
works
administration
of
offices,
the
record
storage
center,
that's
down
on
casita
road.
P
We
can
move
all
of
those
records
into
this
building
and
finance
department,
revenue,
division
and
guess
what,
when
we
do,
all
of
that
we
will
still
have
space
left,
and
so
it
is
truly
in
our
minds,
an
opportunity
for
today
tomorrow
and
into
the
future,
and
so
here's
the
preliminary
timeline
for
acquisition
october
of
this
year.
2021
we
would
want
to
execute
a
purchase
and
sales
agreement
and
lease
agreement
with
synovus
october
november
time
frame
this
year.
P
2021,
preparation
of
bun
documents,
december
2021,
credit
rating
presentations
january
2022,
finalized
bun
documents,
february
2022,
bond
closing
and
no
later
than
march
1
2022
property.
Closing
I
shared
with
the
mayor,
a
text
that
I
received
from
a
local
attorney
who
does
a
lot
of
real
estate
and
mayor.
I
showed
you
that
text
message
where
that
attorney
texted
me
and
said:
acquiring
this
enormous
building
the
city
acquired.
The
sunovis
building
is
the
smartest
decision
the
city
has
made
in
my
lifetime
and
that
person
is
in
their
mid-60s
attorney
property
owner
investor.
P
We
believe
it's
the
right
decision
and
mr
mayor
and
council
we'll
answer
questions,
but
then
I
would
want
you
to
take
a
vote
to
allow
me
to
execute
a
purchase
and
sales
agreement
for
this
space
with
sonovas
and
also
enter
into
a
lease
agreement
for
a
specified
period
of
time.
F
Why
did
this
come
out
at
friday
afternoon
to
be
voted
on
tonight
without
any
without
comment
from
the
community?
Would
one
of
you
speak
to
that?
What's?
That
seems
to
be
the
biggest
issue
that
I
have.
That
I
have
heard
is
that
the
community
has
not
had
an
opportunity
to
make
their
voice
heard.
So
would
one
of
you
speak
to
that.
B
I'll
give
my
perspective
and
then
let
the
city
manager
carry
on
from
there.
I
think
this
is
this
is
how
the
real
estate
transactions
work.
We,
when
we're
trying
to
find
a
location.
Obviously,
from
a
negotiation
standpoint,
you
don't
list
all
of
the
different
places
that
you're
looking
and
this
council
has
been
discussing
this
as
an
option
for
two
years.
I
guess
so
because
of
the
situation
that
would
develop
if
we
were
to
disclose
all
of
the
properties
that
we
were
looking
taking
a
look
at.
B
B
You
know
we're
moving
in
making
a
big
move,
but
but
this
council
has
directed
staff
to
do
a
thorough
vetting
of
every
single
opportunity
out
there
and
frankly,
the
reason
we
ended
up
with
the
purchase
was
because
we
took
a
look
at
the
cost
to
build
and
after
reconstruction
costs
we're
going
to
be
still
probably
under
50
percent
of
what
the
square
foot
the
new
construction
cost
is
per
square
feet.
So
that's
my
perspective.
Is
it
just?
B
P
Well
and
mayor,
I
will
just
simply
say
that
the
reason
it
came
out
on
friday,
obviously,
is
that
we
published
the
city
council
agenda
on
friday.
That
is
nothing
new,
there's
a
second
item
on
my
agenda:
that's
acquisition
of
property,
and
so
we
purchase
and
assemble
property,
and
I
know
this
is
one
of
the
larger
purchases
that
we've
made.
But
you
know
we
do
it
on
a
regular
basis.
We
assemble
property,
we
purchase
proper
property,
assemble
property.
It
goes
on
the
agenda
on
friday
for
the
tuesday
council
meeting,
but
back
to
what
the
mayor
said.
P
You
know
we've
been
discussing
this
and
at
those
public
meetings
we
discussed
the
idea
of
separating
the
judicial
center
and
the
administrative
offices
and
and
council
challenged
us
to
go
out
and
look
at
every
option.
You
wanted
us
to
every
option
related
to
the
government
center,
looking
at
other
facilities,
repurposing.
P
P
Here
we
looked
at
every
single
option
and
we
looked
at
multiple
large
properties,
as
the
mayor
said,
not
with
a
realtor,
but
others
knew
that
we
were
looking
and
we
went
and
toured
and
walked
many
properties
and
and
we've
gone
into
executive
session
to
discuss
property
as
the
law
allows
us
to,
and
so
once
we
you
heard
the
mayor
say:
634
parking
spaces,
I
mean
you
would
spend
12
15
million
dollars
just
on
the
parking
deck
and
we're
getting
this
for
24
million
500.
P
P
The
public
agenda
cuts
off
at
noon
on
friday,
and-
and
so
I
understand
you're
the
point
that
that
person
may
regarding
this
matter.
B
Thank
you,
ma'am,
and
the
clerk
has
asked
me
to
remind
you
that
mayor
pro
tem
allen
felt
strongly
about
being
included
in
this.
This
vote
so
he's
actually
listening.
He
has
phoned
in
and
he's
out
of
town,
but
he
is
he's
on
the
line.
Councilor.
L
Yes,
mr
mayor
city
manager,
I
received
calls
on
friday
and
my
explanation
was,
while
everyone
was
trying
to
basically
stay
alive
through
covet
and
be
safe.
We
were
meeting
every
two
weeks
ongoing
and
we
had
some
public
meetings
that
they
talked
about
this,
but
in
our
council
meetings
I
know
we
spoke
during
presentations
that
we
were
asking
real
estate
to
go
out
other
people
in
real
estate
to
go
out
that
work
for
the
city
to
go
out
and
find
us
properties
to
look
at
because
during
cove
building
costs,
doubled
or
tripled.
L
I'm
not
sure
how
much
it
went
up,
but
we
were
looking
at,
I
guess
somewhere
in
excess
of
200
million
dollars
for
just
a
new
government
center,
and
we
couldn't
sell
that
to
the
public.
It
was
just
way
too
much
money,
so
I
think
during
the
process
of
everybody
just
trying
to
be
safe,
they
probably
missed
it.
L
L
When
it
comes
to
your
kirk
courts
and
different
people
in
real
estate
around
town
having
to
go
and
find
things,
it's
really
difficult
right
now,
but
for
us
to
be
in
one
building
and
for
you,
the
taxpayer,
to
understand
that
you
can
come
here
or
you
can
go
there
and
you
can
get
basically
everything
you
need
and
the
courts
will
be
blocks
away
and
everything
will
still
be
in
the
downtown
area
for
the
employees
and
people
to
still
be
able
to
eat
and
shop
and
for
uptown
to
exist
while
everything
else
is
going
on.
L
So
I
just
wanted
to
say
in
my
phone
call
and
my
public
meeting
I
had
was
not
public
public
but
public
with
about
five
people.
On
friday
I
told
them.
This
has
not
been
a
secret
we've
openly,
we
didn't
say
the
names
of
the
facilities
that
we
were
looking
at,
but
we
did
say
that
we
were
looking
outside
not
to
build
new
to
renovate
and
to
save
the
taxpayers
some
money.
Thank
you.
Q
Yes,
mr
mayor,
I
did
just
want
to
add
for
the
record
that
mayor
pro
tem
gary
allen
has
been
attending
virtually
since
the
beginning
of
the
meeting,
and
so
his
vote
will
be
recorded
as
such.
Thank
you.
R
B
B
B
T
G
T
B
B
Okay,
thank
you,
and
we
do
have
we're
very
fortunate
to
have
mr
kevin
blair,
ceo
from
synovus
out
here,
and
I
synovus
has
been
an
extraordinary
community
partner
and
I
think
that
their
not
just
their
willingness,
but
their
eagerness
to
try
to
help
move
this
along,
has
been
extraordinary
and
and
we're
grateful.
Mr
claire
welcome.
U
U
Synovus
is
the
29th
largest
financial
institution
in
the
united
states
and
a
little
known
fact
we're
the
largest
bank
headquartered
in
the
united
states-
that's
not
based
in
a
major
msa
and
that's
important
to
us,
because
we
think
it
really
speaks
to
our
roots.
So
after
a
hundred
and
thirty
years
of
this
community
to
be
able
to
help
you
in
this
situation,
to
provide
space
for
administrative
building
is
really
an
honor
for
us.
U
Now
I
won't
go
into
a
lot
about
the
transaction
today
and
and
the
details,
but
I
think
maybe
the
question
you'd
have
for
me
is:
what's
the
novus
gonna
do
now
that
you've
purchased
our
building
and
we're
not
in
a
position
today
to
share
with
the
council
or
with
with
our
media
partners
what
the
specific
plan
is.
But
let
me
just
give
you
a
highlight
of:
what's
going
on,
we
have
about
970
team
members
that
reside
here
in
the
muskogee
county
in
the
columbus
region.
U
We
believe
today
we
have
about
420
000
square
feet
across
the
nine
buildings
that
we
reference
in
our
press
release.
We
think
there's
an
opportunity
to
condense
and
consolidate
those
970
team
members
and
to
potentially
two
buildings
and
the
opportunity
to
add
a
new
branch
location
in
the
uptown
area.
So
that's
what
we're
working
on.
We.
U
U
U
Those
individuals
have
been
working
long
hours,
just
as
your
staff
has
to
try
to
get
this
thing
complete,
and
I
really
look
forward
to
the
next
six
months
as
we
finalize
and
execute
on
this
contract
and
we're
in
a
position
where
we
get
to
transition
your
team
into
the
buildings
and
we'll
transition
our
teams
out.
So
thank
you
for
allowing
me
to
say
a
few
words
this
evening
and
I'm
happy
to
fill
any
questions,
but
I
just
really
appreciate
the
opportunity.
B
Well,
I
don't
see
any
questions
kevin.
I
think
I
speak
for
everybody
at
this
table
when
we
tell
you
how
proud
we
are
of
how
deeply
rooted
in
this
community
synovus
is.
You
guys
have
been
such
a
a
huge
part
of
the
growth
and
the
momentum
that
the
city
has
attained
and
maintained,
and
and
and
we're
grateful
that
we're
really
grateful
to
hear
that
you
guys
are
staying
right
here
and
I
do
want
to.
I
do
want
to
acknowledge
ms
dow
allison
dow,
who
has
helped
with
all
the
communication.
B
It's
you
know
to
be
able
to
make
sure
that
your
teammates
were
notified,
and
I
couldn't
do
your
job,
it's
incredible,
how
all
those
dominoes
have
to
line
up,
but
but
thank
you
all
very
much.
B
P
Yes,
sir,
mr
mayor,
we've
got
cured
violence
and
global
along
with
our
local
cure,
violence
team
present
here
with
us
and
they
had
another
schedule,
but
they
were
able
to
adjust
their
schedule
and
be
here
to
share
with
you,
the
mayor
and
council
and
the
citizens
of
columbus
tonight,
and
so
mr
reggie
lewis,
would
you.
V
Yes,
thank
you,
city
manager
and
the
council
and
mayor
who
I
have
with
me
is
brent
decker,
who's
from
pure
violence,
global
and
where
we
are
right
now
is
we
talked
to
y'all
earlier
in
the
year,
as
we
were
performing
our
assessment
and
really
looking
at
how
we
could
really
impact
the
and
reduce
the
violence
in
our
community
and
through
our
assessment.
What
we
identified
and
confirmed
is
that
the
three
areas
or
top
three
areas
that
we
identified
were
zip
codes
31903
through
on
906
and
30907..
V
As
you
know,
throughout
the
last
five
years
that
is
based
on
a
five-year
trend
that
we
looked
at,
assaults,
robberies
and
murders,
and
that's
what
that
volume
in
those
areas
were
identified
and
throughout
those
last
five
years
the
police
department
has
changed.
Those
beats
a
little
bit,
so
we
had
to
kind
of
do
some
kind
of
correlation
between
the
different
beats
that
were
changed
in
20.
I
think
2019
into
the
present,
but
before
that
they
were
different
beats
in
different
areas,
but,
based
on
that
correlation,
we
identify
those
three
those
three
areas.
V
That
is
a
major
area
as
far
as
the
volume
that
we
have
to
tackle.
We
are
looking
at
the
area
right
at-
I
guess
frank,
chester,
area
and
kind
of
going
over
until
you
get
to
almost
universal
road
in
that
area
as
one
of
the
hot
spots
that
we're
going
to
really
try
to
focus
on
what
we're
trying
to
do
tonight
is.
V
We
are
having
community
meetings
at
frank,
chester
tonight,
michael
poolen,
tomorrow,
at
six,
and
this
is
just
the
final
part-
to
kind
of
talk
with
the
community
to
kind
of
hear
their
feedback
and
really
understand
what
they're
seeing
in
those
communities.
Also
during
this
time,
we
are
working
with
different
partners
like
united
way.
V
We
know
in
some
of
these
marginalized
communities
that
many
of
the
kids
in
some
of
the
areas
that
we're
faced
with
are
exposed
to
a
lot
of
trauma,
whether
from
gun,
violence,
whether
from
abuse
themselves,
divorce,
lack
of
opportunity,
discrimination
and
some
of
the
other
things
in
these
areas.
And
what
we
know
is
that
the
family
unit
as
a
whole
is
not
together,
so
part
of
that
process
and
some
of
our
partners.
V
V
V
That's
why
we've
taken
the
time
to
really
ensure
that
we
have
it
right
the
first
time,
unfortunately,
we
are
at
53
homicides
in
our
community.
We
had
three
shot
last
night.
We
understand
that,
but
we
do
know
we
have
to
do
it
right.
I
know
it's
very
hard
for
a
lot
of
people
to
understand
what
we're
trying
to
do
by
looking
at
violence
as
a
health
epidemic,
rather
than
looking
at
people
as
bad
people.
V
V
We
have
goodwill
that
is
doing
an
espongement
program,
starting
today
and
going
on
until
november,
the
14th,
where
they
have
an
attorney
that
is
looking
at
people's
backgrounds
and
seeing
if
they
can
remove
some
of
the
issues
that
we
see.
You
have
programs
like
ban
the
bots
that
is
out
there
to
remove
the
bots
of
asking.
Are
you
a
criminal
or
you
have
a
criminal
background
from
applications
and
then
partnering
with
different
businesses
that
are
willing
to
accept
those
who've?
V
Had
the
background,
but
by
removing
that
box
on
the
front
of
application,
allows
people
the
ability
to
feel
like
you're,
not
judging
me
before
I
even
talk
to
you.
It
gives
the
employee
and
the
applicant
the
ability
to
have
a
conversation
to
see
who
they
are
to
see
if
they
fit
that
business.
Without
immediately
going
to
the
conversation
of,
do
I
have
a
criminal
background,
so
that's
where
we
are.
W
Counselor,
okay,
I
just
have
a
couple
of
comments.
Thank
you
for
having
us
this
evening.
My
name
is
brent
decker,
I'm
the
chief
program
officer
at
curve
on
school.
I've
been
doing
this
work
for
about
20
years,
my
training's
in
epidemiology
and
public
health,
and
that's
really
how
we
see
violence
right
and
what
our
model
is
specifically
designed
to
do
is
to
address
violence
today,
tomorrow
next
week
next
month,
and
what
I
think
about
reggie
and
the
local
cure.
W
While
some
of
these
broader
strategies
that's
being
described,
take
root,
and
so
what
we're
really
trying
to
figure
out
this
week
is
some
stuff
around
some
staffing
patterns
and
some
recruitment
strategies
based
on
the
geographic
area
where
we
think
we're
going
to
be
working,
and
so
it's
very,
very
good
to
be
with
all
of
you
this
evening,
we'd
be
happy
to
answer
any
questions.
Thank
you.
K
Thank
you
very
much.
I
wanted
tom
you
mentioned
dorothy
high
and
I'd
like
to
be
a
cheerleader
for
kia.
Elementary,
everybody
forgets
about
key
elementary.
It's
in
oakland
park,
it's
right
into
the
neighborhood,
and
I
would
really
seriously
like
for
you
all
to
consider
that
school,
anytime,
there's
partners
or
you
know,
gift
bags
or
back
to
school
stuff
that
school
always
gets
left
out,
or
we
have
to
remind
people
that
it
does
exist.
So
I
would
truly
truly
appreciate
it
if
you
would
look
into
that
key
elementary.
K
The
next
question
was:
could
you
please,
when
you
decide
to
do
the
community
meetings?
Don't
do
it
on
a
tuesday
when
we're
in
council
that
area
where
frank
chester
is
both
bruce,
and
I
and
unfortunately
we're
here
and
some
of
our
constituents
are
not
happy
that
we're
here
and
not
there,
but
we
had
to
make
some
tough
decisions
today
and
some
votes,
so
we
needed
to
be
absent.
K
K
Thank
you
and
then
next
question
is
city,
mat,
city
manager
or
the
mayor
one
of
y'all.
When
I
was
watching
the
news
and
they
were
talking
about
cure
violence,
it
was
stated
that
they
that
the
program
was
waiting
for
us
to
provide
funding,
and
I
wanted
to
know
where
are
we
in
that
stage?
Do
they
need
to
come
back
and
give
us
a
full
presentation
before
we
provide
the
funding
how's
that
going
to
work
because.
V
V
V
Implementation
plans,
so
that's
what
was
told
to
them,
I'm
not
for
sure
how
they
twisted
it,
which
has
been
an
issue
that
we've
seen
recently
with
everything.
Is
that
somehow
they're
twisting
it
and
not
understanding
what
is
being
said,
but
that
is
exactly
what
we
said
was
we
have
to
finish
the
assessment.
Do
the
implementation
to
provide
what
that
implementation
talk.
Builds,
I
mean
what
the
invitation
looks
like
what
the
staffing
looks
like
to
come
back.
Would
it
tell
you
what
you
know
for
y'all
to
approve.
B
Taken
a
bold
step,
I
think,
in
committing
those
funds
to
put
towards
the
the
first
first,
I
think,
up
to
three
years
of
implementation,.
K
K
K
You
don't
even
have
to
explain
it.
It's
fine.
What
counselor
tucker
was
asking
me
the
funding.
Where
did
we
get
it
from?
B
Well,
we've
got
councillor
huff
in
line
okay,
so
we'll
counselor.
L
Yes,
thank
you
so
much.
Thank
you
for
the
presentation
you
mentioned
working
on
bannon.
L
From
the
application
after
that
process
is
finished,
I
see
a
couple
people
in
the
audience.
I've
dealt
with
over
the
years
and
they
came
to
me
seven
eight
nine
years
ago
about
this
process
and
once
you
get
to
this
process,
explosion
of
records
still
seems
to
be
an
issue.
L
So
when
they
go
in
for
employment
for
an
job
opportunity
to
talk
to
these
companies,
it
pulls
up
that
they're
still
not
clear
and
I've
been
in
meetings
where
the
same
person
is
in
the
audience
three
to
five
years
later,
still
trying
to
get
their
record
expunged
had
one
situation
back
in
2012
or
13,
where
the
guy
was
totally
expunged,
but
they
wouldn't
clear
him
and
it
was
a
wrongful
arrest
and
he
served
messed
up
his
ability
to
join
the
military,
but
he
served
about
eight
or
ten
years
and
once
they
found
that
it
was
wrongful,
they
agreed
that
it
was
wrongful
and
it
still
took
two
years
to
clear
his
name
and
to
give
him
the
money
that
he
was
due.
L
He
still
didn't
get
enough,
but
still
what
was
due
to
him
so,
but
I
guess
and
all
of
that,
what
I'm
concerned
about
is
once
you
ban
the
box
piece,
how
does
a
person
go
in
because,
first
of
all,
my
understanding
is
the
cost
in
trying
to
get
your
record
expunged.
Some
of
the
people
don't
have
the
money.
L
G
V
So
a
couple
of
things
so
back
to
the
band
the
box
piece
of
it.
One
of
the
things
that
they're
working
in
on
in
our
city,
with
kristen,
barker
and
kevin
mitchell,
is
with
band
of
box,
also
identifying
partners
that
are
willing
to
understand
that.
The
folks
that
are
the
applicants
that
are
coming
in
have
a
background.
L
V
Of
that
application
will
be
one
application
that
goes
out
to
all
the
partners.
So
it's
not
simply
they're
filling
out
multiple
applications
and
the
partners
are
already
aware
of
this
and
really
accept
that
we
actually
have
a
partner
that
is
looking
for
employers,
employees
right
now
and
is
openly
saying
we'll
we'll
take
them.
If
they
have
those
backgrounds,
there
might
be
some
other
things
they
need
to
work
on,
but
they're
paying
13
an
hour.
V
L
Yeah,
that's
what
I'm
concerned
about
once.
If
say,
if
you
move
it
along
and
the
person
gets
a
job,
they're
working
they're
making
money,
but
I'm
still
concerned
is
the
record
ever
going
to
be
expunged.
L
L
I
just
I
thought
about
it,
because
I
got
a
call
a
couple
of
weeks
ago
and
the
person
didn't
have
the
money,
one
guy
decided
to
just
go
ahead
and
save
it
and
to
get
it
clear
because
one
one
one
particular
issue
and
I'll
go
ahead
and
yield
to
my
colleagues.
One
issue
was:
a
guy
had
cleared
his
name,
paid
off
fees,
gone
back
to
work,
able
to
vote
again
and
still
couldn't
get
his
record
explained,
and
he
was
trying
to
figure
out.
How
was
he
able
to
vote
and
he
couldn't
get
his
record
experience.
L
I
I
I
25
000,
and
then
we
put
the
500
000
set
aside
and
the
old
laws
when
they
would
come
back
with
the
final
report.
We
would.
We
would
use
the
old
loss
money
based
on
the
results
from
that's
when
they
first
did
the
presentation
when
we
were
at
the
civic
center.
I
think
for
the
trade
center
yeah.
P
Traits
trade
center.
I
think
yeah.
I
G
I
B
B
I
For
the
public
that
we're
not
giving
them
two
sets
of
funds
based
on
our
general
fund,
oh
lost
or
whatever
and
arp,
because
that
was
a
question
you
know
from
the
citizens
and
also
in
reference
to
like
funding
sources,
do
y'all
have
other
funding
sources.
I
know
that
you're
working
with
community
schools
with
pam
romero
and
united
way,
but
are
there
other
funding
sources
that
that.
V
Care
violence
will
be
using
yeah
we're
looking
at
other
grants
like
djj
and
some
other
officers
up
in
federal
grants
that
are
available
that
are
specific
to
treating
violence
as
a
health
epidemic,
the
one
that
we
were
signing
up
with
pam
and
team.
You
know
that
got
postponed
and
moved
to
next
year
to
give
time
for
more
people
to
apply
because
of
what
we
were
seeing
with
coven.
So
there
are
other
funding
places
and
grants
that
we'll
be
looking
at
and
applying
for.
V
Yeah,
so
we
we
know
this
funding
was
just
more
or
less
the
one
year.
We
were
fully
aware
of
that.
Okay,
thank
you,
yeah
and
also
to
answer.
I
know
you've
asked
us
in
the
past,
and
this
has
come
up
as
far
as
midnight
basketball,
so
we
were
able
to
get
ten
thousand
dollars
in
grant
from
the
rotary
clubs
in
columbus
to
put
on
midnight
basketball
we're
working
with
corey
black.
V
I
also
talked
with
mr
marshall
today
over
at
frank
chester,
who
are
very
experienced
in
that
kind
of
program,
and
hopefully
the
stipulation
is
we
got
to
put
it
on
before
march.
That's
the
only
issue,
but
we're
trying
to
get
that
set
up
and
ready
to
go,
hopefully
in
the
january
time
frame,
which
will
hopefully
be
the
catalyst
to
kick
it
off
for
the
summertime
as
well.
I
I
don't
want
to
put
our
director
rob
landers
under
the
bus,
but
we
did
have
a
conversation
about
the
civic
center
doing
kind
of
like
a
big.
You
know
midnight
basketball
event.
I
guess,
like
a
grand,
you
know
finale
type
right
event,
yeah.
V
G
V
Just
doesn't
be
the
community
that
we're
trying
to
to
help,
but
we
need
everybody
in
the
city
to
be
involved,
no
matter
the
race,
social,
economic
standing
where
you,
where
are
you
from
we
need
everybody
to
be
involved
in
it,
because
we
need
to
see
and
show
up
in
force
is
to
say
we
all
care.
That's
the
main
thing
that
we're
trying
to
do
and
that's
why
we're
partnering
with
so
many
different
agencies.
So
we
have
a
collective
idea
of
where
we
want
to
go
cure.
Violence
is
a
small
piece
of
the
puzzle.
V
It's
going
to
take
these
other
organizations
and
providing
wrap-around
services
and
things
to
make
this
a
complete
success.
So
it's
not
just
cure
balance
and
reduction,
we're
just
we're
just
an
interruption
of
it,
but
we've
got
to
have
something:
that's
a
preventative
maintenance
and
we
have
to
have
something:
that's
preventing
that
zero
to
12
year
old
from
getting
involved
or
having
that
number
of
aces
occurring
in
their
lives.
V
V
I
V
Actually
had
jerome
and
a
couple
other
guys
in
the
community
up
at
piedmont
hospital.
Another
partnership
that
we're
working
with
is
piedmont
on
mental
health.
What
we
know
is
from
the
er
emergency
room
facility
is
that
you
know
we
had
over
372
gunshot
wounds
come
through
that
er
in
a
small
time
period
in
a
year,
and
one
of
the
things
they
talk
about
is
the
same
person
coming
back
multiple
times.
V
The
community
to
meet
the
hospital
and
the
hospital
to
meet
the
community
so
that
we
have
a
good
understanding
of
what's
happening,
so
he
was
jerome
and
other
guys
were
part
of
that.
That
meeting,
which
was
a
very
good
meeting
with
pastor
oil
institute
valley,
health
services,
mercymed
and
some
of
the
organizations
that
we
need
to
really
try
to
create
those
wraparound
services.
I
Well,
thank
you
and
31907
is
my
district
and
unfortunately,
right
now,
I
think
I
made
14
murders
in
district
4.,
it's
a
hot
spot
in
on
forest
road
century
in
that
carver
park
area.
So
thank
you
for
adding
my
district
on
that
list.
F
Mr
lewis,
I
was
listening
to
npr
radio
the
last
couple
of
days
and
one
of
the
stories
that
they
told
was
of
this
and
I'm
sorry
I
don't
remember
the
who
the
the
guy
was,
but
he
said
that
there
are.
We
know
from
statistics
that
there
are
few
african-american
men
who
are
school
teachers
they
don't
they
don't
do
that,
and
so
kids
don't
see
those
people
as
role
models,
but
the
program
he
talked
about
that
got
me
excited
was
something
called
books
in
barber
shops.
F
He
said
they
may
have
seen
him
read
from
a
tablet
or
from
a
tv
of
a
telephone,
but
not
from
a
book,
and
so
his
program
was
to
put
books
in
barber
shops
and
the
kids
go
to
the
barber
shop
once
a
month.
You
know
and
there's
that
that
for
them
to
see
that
that's
what
that's
what
happens,
and
I
thought
gosh
that's
a
great
idea.
How
do
how
do
I
get
involved
in
that?
F
F
It
won't
take
ten
thousand
dollars
to
put
books
in
in
barber
shops,
but
it
will
take
some
effort
so
make
sure
that,
as
you
are
designing
that
program,
that's
part
of
it,
I'm
a
member
of
the
rotary
club,
we
pay.
You
know
we
participate
in
this
all
of
those
kinds
of
things,
but
the
individual
does
not
always
have
a
route
to
do.
What
needs
to
be
done,
and
I,
as
a
person
who
loves
to
read
and
loves
to
you,
know,
sit
up
on
the
on
the
sofa
and
with
a
good
book.
F
I
want
kids
to
do
that.
I
want
kids
to
see
what
what
a
tremendous
opportunity
that
is,
so
not
not
just
that
that
program,
but
anything
that
you
can
come
up
with,
that
we
as
individuals
can
do
as
well
as
part
of
our
membership
and
organizations
and
and
that
sort
of
thing
please
do
that.
Yes,
please
do
that.
Thank.
F
P
I
think
that's
all
the
questions.
Mr
mayor,
I
just
I
I
just
want
to
thank
this
group
for
of
being
here
tonight.
Changing
your
schedule
to
be
here.
P
I
think
it
means
a
lot
to
us
and
to
those
listening
by
television
and
we
will
rebroadcast
what
the
conversation
tonight,
but
I
do
want
to
just
say
that
there's
something
going
on
in
georgia
and
across
america
in
cities
and
counties
all
over
america
and
it's
going
to
take
being
proactive
like
we're
trying
to
do
here
in
columbus,
with
cure
violence,
global
bringing
them
in
and
and
you've
indicated
that
it's
going
to
take
other
organizations
and
and
and
that's
absolutely
a
fact,
but
we're
concerned
about
what's
going
on
in
our
community.
P
I
often
hear
people
talk
about
it
as
as,
though
it's
only
in
columbus
georgia,
but
we
need
to
be
clear
that
it's
not
just
columbus,
it's
in
cities
and
counties
in
georgia,
out
of
georgia
and
and
and
I
live
in
3197
by
the
way-
and
I
know
you
indicated
14
but
but
mayor-
I
just
I
pulled
a
couple
of
excerpts
from
an
article
in
the
ajc
atlanta
journal
constitution
on
sunday,
and
then
there
was
another
one
this
morning.
P
I
hope
you
saw
it,
but
but
so
that
those
who
are
not
reading
and
looking
outside
of
the
community,
they
need
to
know
that
we
are
doing
what
we're
doing
to
get
control
of
our
situation.
But
there
are
situations
outside
of
columbus
and
outside
of
georgia,
but
the
ajc
headline
was
gun.
Violence
spreads
outside
metro
atlanta
areas
across
georgia
are
struggling
with
an
increase
in
homicides.
P
Ajc
examination
found
that
cities
and
towns
across
georgia,
like
many
across
the
u.s,
struggled
with
an
increase
in
homicides
last
year,
and
this
year
lagrange
mayor
jim
thorne,
who
serves
as
georgia
municipal
association
president
says
it's
a
problem,
big
towns
and
little
towns,
mayors
and
law
enforcement
officials
know
residents
throughout
georgia.
Are
weary
of
the
violence?
P
P
Macon,
georgia
set
a
modern
day
record
with
51,
roughly
double
the
total
from
a
year
before
bullock
county
had
two
homicides
in
2019,
but
14
last
year,
all
been
in
georgia.
19
homicides
recorded
an
increase
of
almost
50
percent
over
2019
columbus.
Georgia
set
a
record
with
46
last
year.
By
mid-september
this
year
columbus
has
52..
This
is
the
ajc
in
atlanta,
georgia,
2020
was
the
deadliest
year.
In
decades,
the
atlanta
police
department
investigated
157
homicides
cases
last
year
up
from
99
in
2019
and
the
most
in
more
than
more
than
two
decades.
P
According
to
data
published
by
the
department
of
public
health
office
that
tracks
violent
deaths,
those
counties
collectively
recorded
501
homicides,
a
third
higher
than
2019
the
rest
of
the
state
recorded
556,
a
jump
of
21,
and
this
morning
that's
read.
The
fbi
is
reporting
that
2020
homicides
are
up
nearly
30
percent,
the
largest
one-year
jump
ever
so
researchers
say
driving
the
violence
or
complex
social
factors
exacerbated
by
the
grand
of
the
pandemic
and
a
wave
of
social
unrest
over
police
shootings
officials
of
georgia.
P
Towns
say
it
is
poverty
and
isolation
colliding
with
a
broken
mental
health
system.
It's
domestic
violence,
joblessness,
drugs
and
gains
the
prevalence
of
guns,
the
shutdown
of
courts
and
a
shortage
of
officers,
and
so
I
say
to
you:
we
must
continue
to
look
for
solutions
and
that's
what
we're
trying
to
do
in
columbus.
Georgia.
Thank
you
for
your
work.
Thank
you.
G
B
T
T
L
Yeah
he
was
unable
to
be
here
tonight,
but
I
did
make
contact
with
him.
I
attended
the
back
meeting
and
everything
went
smoothly.
There
have
been
no
complaints
and
they
put
in
the
the
what
I'm
trying
to
say
that
it
has
to
be
for
office
use
only
so
I
hadn't
heard
I
think
director
jones
may
have
heard
anything.
I
hadn't
heard
anything
else.
It's
been
real
quiet,
but
he
couldn't
be
here
tonight.
He
asked
me
if
you
had
any
questions
for
me
to
speak
on
his
behalf.
T
T
G
T
Next
item
is
the
bond
resolution
that
we
covered
earlier.
The
item
four
is
a
resolution
of
proving
the
execution
of
an
intergovernmental
agreement
with
muskogee
county
school
district
regarding
ted
tax
allocation
district
number,
eight
south
columbus,
river
district.
This
is
maybe
some
folks
from
the
school
district
here
tonight,
but
it's
been
of
course.
It's
been
discussed
before
when
council
actually
approved
the
ted
itself.
B
T
B
I
I
That
was
the
first
thing
that
was
you
know
when
I
got
the
paper
to
see
that
that
bullet
in
carver
park
and
that's
what
we're
dealing
with
you
know:
people
can't
people
can't
even
go
to
the
park
without
getting
shot,
and
that's
sad,
it's
extremely
sad.
So
I
know
that
we
are
working
on
getting
the
cameras
and
that's
just
one
aspect.
I
You
know
it's
almost
like
fast
and
furious
right
now
at
carver
park
at
late
evenings
you
have,
I
guess,
like
street
racers
or
whatever
they're
going
and
doing
donuts
and
spinning
out
and
the
residents
are,
are
truly
afraid.
I
I
I
I
You
know
we
could
just
about
leave
our
windows
open
at
night
and
our
doors
unlocked
and
mr
and
mrs
harrison
was
going
to
make
sure
that
we
were
taken
care
of
until
my
grandma
got
home,
and
now
we
just
have
lost
our
way
as
a
as
a
community
as
a
community,
and
it's
going
to
take
all
of
this
like
cure
violence.
You
know
coming
in
the
work
that
they're
doing
you
know.
I
I
know,
jerome
is
out
there
and
he's
doing
great
things
and
alyssa
she's
doing
good
things,
and
so
many
other
people
in
the
community,
our
chief
of
police,
our
sheriff,
but
it's
going
to
take
all
of
us.
It's
going
to
take
all
of
us.
The
only
reason
why
I'm
you
know
I'm
just
emotional,
because
when
I
read
through
that
ajc
article
and
I
was
reading
all
the
issues
throughout
georgia
and
the
journalists
made,
a
comment
is
because
atlanta
is
getting
beat
down
like
we
think
we're
getting
beat
down.
You
know
with
53.
I
elena's
way
over
100
and
they
are
on
the
government,
saying
very
nasty
things,
but
we
we,
we
honestly,
are
trying
to
do
our
best.
You
know
our
police
department
is
doing
a
good
job.
We
just
had,
I
think
sheriff,
did
a
operation
take
back
the
city,
you
take
our
city
back
and
that
got
five
gang
members
and
it
was
14
total
arrests.
I
So
I
think
that
we
need
to
often
say
what
we're
doing
you
know
say
the
good
things
that
we're
doing,
because
if
we
don't
see
it,
our
community
is
not
going
to
hear
anything
positive.
It's
like
we're
dodging
and
putting
like
an
ostrich
putting
our
heads
in
the
sand.
No,
we
got
to
speak
up.
We
have
to
speak
up
and
that's
when,
when
ajc
called
me-
and
they
said
you
know-
you
probably
don't
want
to
do
this
interview-
I
said
why
not
I
said
if
I
can
take
a
picture
at
a
ribbon
cutting.
I
I
can
talk
about
violence
because
it's
happening
in
my
backyard.
It's
happening
in
my
backyard,
and
I
know
that
I
have
support
of
council,
I'm
hoping
that
we
can
get
the
cameras
you
know
sooner
rather
than
later.
I
know
it's
a
process,
I'm
not
pushing.
You
know
the
timeline,
but
I
just
want
the
citizens
to
know
that
we
are
taking
actions.
I
You
know
it
takes
time.
We
did
not
get
here
overnight
and
we're
not
gonna
fix
it
overnight
and
that's
what
people
need
to
realize.
We
did
not
get
here
overnight.
It
took
us
a
long
time
to
get
here.
It
took
us
a
long
time
of
honestly
saying
that
we
didn't
have
a
game
problem
for
many
years
and
we
do
have
a
game
problem.
T
Okay
and
then
mayor
the
councillor
tucker
has
worked
with
our
office.
There
may
be
a
draft
ordinance
circulated
in
the
near
future.
That
would
give
the
city
manager
the
mayor,
police
chief
authority.
You
know
to
take
action
without
having
to
keep
coming
back
to
council
for
resolutions
just
on
a
temporary
basis.
They
could
take
action
in
their
discretion.
B
I
think
I
think
if
the
city
manager
has
that
kind
of
discretionary
authority,
we
can
react
quicker
and
and-
and
we
are
we're
pushing-
I
know
the
police
chief
is
is
is
is
committed.
I
know
that
the
sheriff
is
committed
to
doing
everything
we
can,
but,
as
council
tucker
pointed
out,
it
is
a
community
issue.
B
We
have,
we
have
a
number
of
issues
and
or
initiatives
in
place
that
are
designed
to
start
changing
the
culture.
I
mean
it's
almost
like
you
approach,
counselor
counselor
house,
as
a
retired
colonel
knows
that
when
you're
in
a
war
you
cut
off
the
supply
line
in
a
war,
the
supply
line
is
is
a
situation
where
you've
got
food
and
ammunition
coming
in.
You
cut
it
off
when
in
our
situation,
not
just
in
columbus
and
not
just
in
georgia,
but
throughout
this
country.
B
B
Instead
of
pointing
a
finger
at
one
another
and
and
try
to
make
sure
that
there's
enough
comfort
level
that
if
you
see
something,
say
something
if
you
have
a,
if
you
have
any
kind
of
intuitive
little
thinking
that
something's
going
on,
notify
your
public
safety
officers,
you
can
do
it,
you
can
do
it
anonymously,
you
don't
have
to
leave
your
name.
So
it's
it's!
It's
a!
It
is
a
community
issue
and
it's
going
to
take
community
solutions.
B
T
B
B
X
You
know,
mr
mayor,
there's
a
lot
of
good
conversation
going
on
about
this
here
and
I'm
really
glad
that
councilor
tucker
and
you
you
know
she's,
I'm
I'm
close
to
everybody.
So
I
can
see
the
tears
coming
down,
but
you
know
it
it.
It
does
take
the
community
I
had
so
many
people
call
me
on
my
facebook,
where
I
talked
about
that
one
street.
It's
a
two
block
area,
but
it's
there's
so
much
going
on
there
and
the
people
are
afraid.
X
X
Out
of
that
whole
two
block
area
actually
came
out,
and
so
you
know
it's
it,
and-
and
I
know
this
city
can
only
do
but
so
much,
but
the
people
now
consider
in
that
area.
You
got
about
30
or
more
people
in
a
two
block
area
and
it's
condensed
with
people
that
just
feel
we're
just
not
going
to
obey
the
law.
No
we're
not
going
to
cut
our
lawns,
we're
going
to
let
the
dogs
run
free,
which
the
dogs,
thank
god,
for
for
animal
control,
because
we're
about
two
or
three
dogs
running
pit
bulls.
X
One
day
caught
one
pit:
bull,
we're
just
not
going
to
obey
and
you
only
have
two
people
out
of
that
area
that
came
out
of
their
homes
and
the
police
chief
is
command
staff.
I
walked
the
area
just
to
pull
the
people
out.
No
one
came
out
only
two
and
and
you
you're
right,
I
see
facebook
and
they
say
what
is
the
city
doing?
X
Well,
the
city
is
available,
but,
as
you
say,
everyone
can
pick
up
a
phone
and
say
that
they
see
something
wrong,
and
so,
when
I
see
all
that
on
facebook,
it
just
leads
me
to
say
just
like
counselor
tucker.
The
individuals
have
to
actually
get
involved
and
help
public
safety
help.
The
sheriff
help
help
the
city
help
the
mayor
help
the
city
man
ever
all
of
us
get
involved
because
we're
out
in
the
community.
X
You
can
call
us
and
tell
us
we
can
call
the
police
chief
or
the
sheriff
to
come
out,
but
they
have
got
to
get
involved
and
we
as
a
group,
the
city
can't
do
everything,
but
we
have
the
resources
to
help
you.
If
you
open
up
and
say
something
out
of
that
whole
group
of
people,
there
were
only
two
other
citizens
that
came
and
we
actually
walked
there
up
and
down,
and
I
even
tried
to
encourage
them
by
saying
look
who's
out
here.
X
You
know,
and
I
know
d'andra
my
heart
goes
out
to
d'andra,
and
so
I'm
I'm
hoping
that
all
that
we're
doing
that
that
people
will
get
in
that
people
will
get
involved
and
we
do
have
individuals
like
the
young
man
here,
I've
known
him
for
the
longest
time.
He
is
a
success
story.
I
can
remember
in
when
he
came
to
council
and
spoke
the
first
time,
and
you
said
you
know
it:
it's
the
people
actually
getting
involved.
It's
the
only
thing.
X
That's
going
and
mr
city
manager,
you
didn't
talk
about
other
areas,
my
home,
philadelphia,
pennsylvania.
Where
I
was
born
and
raised.
You
want
to
see
some
statistics,
so
we're
not
we're
not
the
the
worst
place,
we're
not
the
worst
place,
but
we
had
the
facilities
but
to
help
with
the
community
to
turn
things
around.
B
Y
S
Y
We
got
murders,
three
three
people
just
got
killed
and,
to
be
frank,
I
haven't
seen
no
city
council
member
on
the
streets
saying
anything
and
when
we
talk
about
going
into
these
communities,
we
haven't
seen
nobody
in
the
community
that
represents
these
communities
and
I'm
not
throwing
shades.
I'm
just
pointing
some
things
out.
Y
Y
When
have
we
ever
heard
of
somebody
giving
a
reputable
program
in
columbus
that
type
of
money
to
give
a
resolve
to
the
community
we
haven't.
How
are
we
going
to
back
a
program?
That's
not
from
columbus
when
we're
not
even
willing
to
back
a
program,
that's
in
columbus,
already
effectively
doing
things.
Y
We
make
it
hard
for
young
people
to
have
jobs.
We
talked
about
the
ban
in
the
box.
That's
a
policy,
that's
having
a
background
and
people
not
hiring
you
because
of
your
background.
That's
a
policy.
It's
not
a
law,
that's
a
policy.
That
means
that
we
can
invoke
these
people
to
change
these
policies
to
hire
people.
Y
And
then
you
spoke
about
expungement.
There's
no
expungement
is
gone
now
they
have
restricting
backgrounds
where
the
gbi
automatically
takes
your
record
after
a
certain
time,
and
they
close
it
and
restrict
certain
entities
from
being
able
to
see
your
record,
but
certain
governmental
agencies
can
still
see
it
and
then
they're
charging
people
for
these
processes
when
it
can
be
free.
Y
The
three
factors
that
are
making
our
community
the
way
it
is
is
poor,
education,
poor
housing
and
no
jobs.
If
people
are
busy
working
and
encouraged
to
work
for
themselves,
eventually,
they
will
deviate
from
the
problems
that
are
committed
in
our
community
and
most
of
the
problems
are
black
on
black
crime.
We
know
that
and
there's
a
reason
for
that.
Y
We
have
no
diversity
in
the
community
like
carver
park.
Shutting
down
the
park.
That's
what
is
that
going
to
accomplish
if,
if,
if
doing
like
law
enforcement,
that's
not
the
answer,
we
got
law
enforcement
on
the
north
side
right,
we
got
law
enforcement
on
the
south
side,
but
the
presence
of
law
enforcement
still
hasn't
been
enough
to
deter
the
crime.
Y
S
Y
Matter
where
you
are
leaders
are
supposed
to
be
at
the
front
line
of
everything,
leading
by
example
showing
people
the
way.
So
if
we
have
the
community-
and
they
don't
see
what
our
leaders
are
doing,
then
what
are
they
going
to
do?
Kovic
didn't
make
it
no
better.
We
closed
everybody
in
a
box
and
told
us
to
get
along.
Y
So
when
you
close,
when
I
did
10
years
in
prison
when
they
put
all
of
us
in
one
dorm,
they
put
the
crips
in
the
blood
and
the
gangsters,
they
put
them
in
one
dorm
expecting
them
to
go
against
themselves,
but
they
kicked
into
survival
mode
and
they
became
productive
because
we
came,
we
came
to
a
point
where
we
was
going
to
say:
we're
not
going
to
die
and
kill
ourselves,
because
our
survival
is
worth
it.
We
need
to
get
home
to
our
families
and
our
babies.
Y
That's
the
same
approach
we
need
to
have
out
here.
We
need
to
implement
a
structured
plan,
that's
going
to
specifically
say
the
things
that
we
need
to
do
to
accomplish
what
we
need
to
accomplish.
We
don't
need
to
do
it
a
year
from
now.
We
need
to
start
with
a
ever-present
passionate
effort
today,
right
now,
because
that
number's
gonna
keep
going
up.
Y
Z
Y
Y
Y
Y
They
need
to
see
the
faces
that
represent
them
and
the
faces
that
represent
them
need
to
come
together
and
do
things
like
promote
positive
energies,
bring
back
recreational
activities
instead
of
clowning
them
all
in
one
place.
When
I
went
to
elizabeth
county,
the
basketball
court
looked
the
same
way
since,
before
I
went
to
prison.
B
G
B
B
I
I
I
So
to
the
answer
to
the
statement
we're
out
there,
you
know
we
really
are
out
there
neighborhood
watch
meetings.
I
know
pops
just
had
one
in
regency
park.
We
did
one
I
think
in
august
and
we
went
to
all
the
neighborhoods
and
city
mountains
just
by
all
the
councils
again
were
there
we're
not
going
to
be
seen
all
the
time
by
all
the
people
we're
just
not
but
we're
out
there.
G
AA
But
I
digress,
but
it
yes
and
and
distinguished
counsel
and
and
staff.
Of
course.
As
I
stand,
my
name
is
eric
sims
ralph
sims.
I
am
the
treasurer
at
pleasant
grove
baptist
church.
As
a
representative
of
our
senior
pastor,
pastor,
gloria
smith,.
AA
Oh,
I'm
sorry,
let
me
get
up
a
little
closer
and
and,
as
I
was
saying,
a
representative
of
our
senior
pastor,
gloria
smith
in
the
great
city
of
columbus,
greetings
and
blessings
to
you
all.
Thank
you
again.
AA
As
the
mayor
has
mentioned
before
earlier
that
a
win-win-win
situation,
we
pray
that
that
this
will
become
a
win-win
situation.
I
do
also
have
a
few
other
documents
to
kind
of
help
support
our
again.
If
we
can
pass
that
out-
or
anybody
can
do
this,
you.
AA
T
AA
All
right,
thank
you.
Why
why
why
I'm
here
today
or
this
evening,
this
meeting
was
requested
by
our
church,
as
we
humbly
come
before
you
to
request
that
our
lien
that
has
been
imposed
on
a
set
property
address,
being
the
26
14
7th
street
in
the
actually
the
31903
zip
code
to
be
completely
absolved,
and
I
would
say
also
that
our
church
has
been
through
quite
a
few
changes
in
administrative
staff
and
in
our
congregation.
AA
Even
amid
the
coved
pandemic.
We
have
had
the
death
of
death
of
our
pastor,
a
long-term
pastor
had
which
had
been
the
the
oldest
living
pastor
that
had
been
pastoring
in
the
columbus
area,
which
I
have
recognized
before:
pastor
walter
phillips
senior
as
well,
and
changes
like,
I
said
in
the
administrative
leadership.
AA
AA
The
business
of
9
14
20
20.,
and
it
was
our
understanding
that
the
property
that
was
purchased
was
going
to
be
used
for
a
parking
lot
during
our
sunday
services
or
whenever
the
church
doors
were
open
and
and
and
as
we
as
we
as
we
looked
at
that
not
underst,
not
realizing
that
that
that
there
was
a
lien
associated
with
the
piece
of
property
that
was
purchased
so
so
once
we
realized
that
we
immediately
started
contacting
people
to
try
to
find
the
validity
of
what
was
going
on
of
the
notice
that
we
had
so
we
discovered
that
it
had
not
been
taken
care
of,
and
this
was
our
understanding
unbeknownst
to
us
that
this
had
not
been
taken
care
of
so
as
it
and
as
as
I
say
that
and
there's
a
reason
that
I
stated
there
before,
that.
AA
AA
We
did
our
due
diligence
in
this
matter
to
try
to
make
sure
we
do
it
in
the
right
way.
Try
to
get
this
taken
care
of.
As
best
we
could,
and
and
as
you
have
in
front
of
you,
you
see,
the
property
in
question
is
actually
a
tenth
of
an
acre
which
is
approximately
about
4300
square
feet.
Give
or
take,
and
and,
as
you
can
see,
is
pictured
close
to
where
it's
on
a
hill
and
it's
close
to
a
cemetery.
AA
So
there's
really
not
a
lot
that
can
be
do
with
it,
as
it
is
right
at
the
moment,
but
we
do
acknowledge
that
the
city
has
been
trying
to
improve
the
overall
look
and
appearance
of
the
columbus
area.
So,
however,
we
are
here
today
and
willing
being
a
small
congregation
to
get
a
resolution
on
this
situation.
AA
AA
K
AA
P
AB
P
P
P
So
I've
actually
been
out
to
this
property
and
that
that
little
incline,
I
guess,
is
on
picture
number
two
is,
I
think
the
property
only
goes
up
to
the
top
of
that
hill
or
so
yes,
or
for
my
final.
AA
P
P
Mayor
and
council,
I
I
would-
I
can
have
staff
to
get
the
value
on
this
property.
How
many
in
your
congregation.
V
AA
Covet
before.
P
Covert,
yes,
so
so
may
I
I'd
like
to
actually
bring
back
a
recommendation
to
you
for
consideration
on
this
property
and
so
I'll
get
with
staff,
and
I
mean
it's
just
you
know
it
and
my
recommendation
would
be.
We
remove
the
lien
waive
the
lien,
and
I
mean
I
mean
I
would
sell
them
this
property
for
a
dollar.
B
B
P
R
AC
Okay,
if
I
could
interject
I'm
the
secretary
of
the
church,
the
property
was
bought
at
a
tax
sale,
okay
by
previous
members
of
the
church
in
2003
we
did
not
know-
or
they
did
not
know-
that
there
was
a
lien
on
the
property
until
they
received
that
information,
and
so
once
we
got
all
of
this
like
I
said
this
is
privy
to
us
becoming
a
part
of
the
administrative
team.
So
all
of
this
has
been
transpired
before
that,
so
the
original
pastor,
walter
phillips
senior,
who
passed
this
past
year.
AC
This
was
something
that
the
previous
administrative
team
was
working
on,
and
so
they
purchased
it.
I
guess
to
do
parking
which
we
said,
which
wasn't
really
a
lot
of
property
and
when
they
bought
it,
they
thought
that
they
were
just
buying
just
that
they
did
not
realize
there
was
a
lien
on
the
property.
I
don't
think
they
went
through
any
of
the
other
aspects.
They
were
just
paying
the
taxes
that
was
due
on
the
property.
L
Yes,
thank
you.
Thank
you
for
your
presentation.
Yes,
sir,
that's
first
I
heard
about
it's
in
the
district.
I've
been
with
you
all
yeah
since
I
started
yes,
I
came
through
that
2010
and
over
the
years,
the
last
anniversary
they
had
for
faster
yeah
and
I
did
a
proclamation
at
his
funeral
service.
Yes,
I
was
going
to
yield
to
the
city
manager,
but
he
spoke
ahead
of
me,
so
I'm
in
total
agreement.
I
was
going
to
ask
for
his
help
to
see
if
we
could
get
something
done.
L
It's
a
small
property,
a
small
church,
congregation,
you're,
good
people,
doing
good
work
and
I'm
sure
you
got
hit
with
something
you
didn't
see
coming
so
hopefully
we
can
work
it
all
out
and
I
think
it'd
be
a
good
fix,
because
it's
obvious
that,
like
council
crab
said
somebody
dropped
the
ball
somewhere,
but
it's
not
your
fault.
Sometimes.
G
L
K
City
manager,
could
you
or
your
staff
follow
up
and
let
us
know
what's
the
process
they
use,
because
I
would
think
if
they're
purchasing
a
property
by
paying
the
taxes,
they
will
be
told
that
there's
also
additional
funds
on
there.
Can
we
find
out
what
that
process
is
for
the
future.
P
K
And
that's
great,
I
just
want
to
know
because
this
happened
to
him,
how
many
other
people
had
have
this
happen
and
when,
even
though
you're
paying
the
taxes
on
the
property,
you
should
be
given
the
right
to
know
that
there's
a
lien
for
it
not
to
surprise
you.
So
I'm
just
curious
of
you
know
how
it
was
conducted
and
if
there's
anything
in
our
power
that
we
can
change
it
well,
it
would
tell
a
person
yeah
you're,
going
to
buy
the
property
for
this
amount,
but
there's
a
lean
on
this
property
for
this
amount.
B
B
So
we'll
we'll
move
forward
to
the
mr
faye,
did
you
have
a
comment.
T
T
P
There
we
go.
Thank
you,
mr
mayor.
You've
already
handled
number
one
on
my
item,
but
before
I
get
started,
I
want
to
mayor,
introduce
mr
stephen
hood:
he's
a
international
city,
county
management
association,
fellow
and
ms
hood.
P
If
you
would
come
up
to
the
podium
for
just
a
second,
but
you
know
we
partnered
with
icma
in
the
past,
and
we've
got
had
interns
and
we
used
to
intern
in
the
clerk
counsel's
office
and
he
was
a
lieutenant
colonel
and
you
all
know
that
he
did
some
great
work
for
us,
but
it's
a
little
bit
different
now
with
everything's
going
on
with
covid.
But
mr
stephen
hood
has
been
designated
to
work
with
me
here
in
columbus.
P
Georgia,
though,
he
is
a
deputy
to
the
garrison
commander
at
the
u.s
at
fort
stewart,
so
he's
u.s
army
garrison
well,
his
deputy
to
the
garrison
command.
I
should
say
at
the
u.s
army
garrison
fort
stewart
hunter
army
airfield
georgia,
and
I
wanted
him.
P
He's
he's
come
down
to
join
us
mayor,
we've
got
the
hub
city,
mayors
and
city
managers
are
going
to
be
in
town
tomorrow
and
thursday,
and
so
he's
come
down
from
fort
stewart
he's
going
to
be
a
part
of
our
meeting
with
the
hub
city,
mayors
and
city
managers,
and
I
want
you
all
to
meet
him
and
know
him
and
I'm
gonna.
Let
you
introduce
yourself
a
little
bit
better
than
I
can.
AD
No,
you
did
a
great
job,
mr
hugley.
I
appreciate
it,
mr
mayor
and
members
of
the
council,
thanks
for
letting
me
be
here
tonight
and
thank
you
for
the
introduction
isaiah.
I
appreciate
it.
I'm
honored
to
be
a
part
of
the
program
and
chosen
by
installation
management,
command
and
department
of
the
army
to
participate,
but
I'm
extremely
fortunate
to
have
been
paired
with
isaiah
who's,
been
a
gracious
host
and
a
good
partner,
and
I'm
looking
forward
to
the
next
couple
of
days
in
this
great
city
before
he
tells
on
me.
AD
We
were
fortunate,
my
wife
and
I
to
live
here
in
columbus,
and
I
say
that
not
not
quite
true,
because
I
was
in
the
army
and
stationed
in
massachusetts
and
brooklyn,
but
my
wife
owned
a
home
here
in
columbus.
We
owned
it.
I
just
didn't
get
to
live
in
it,
as
the
army
sometimes
does,
but
now
we
live
under
the
same
roof
in
richmond
hill
georgia,
where
I'm
now
serving
at
fort
stewart.
AD
So
thanks
for
the
introduction,
I
look
forward
to
the
next
couple
of
days
in
a
city
that
I
already
know
is
fantastic
and
terrific,
and
it's
been
interesting-
and
I
learned
a
lot
just
sitting
here
tonight.
So
thanks
and
I'll
see
you
tomorrow
and
speak
to
you
afterwards
thanks
mr
mayor
and
the
council
for.
B
This,
mr
hood,
welcome
and
thank
you
for
your
service
and
we
work
very
closely
with
the
garrison
commander
here
at
fort
benning.
So
we
know
the
deputy
does
all
the
work
so.
AD
P
Sir,
yes,
sir,
thank
you,
sir.
So
mayor
number
two
on
my
agenda.
Rep
approval
request
to
enter
into
a
purchase
and
sales
agreement
with
the
state
of
florence
h,
pendleton
to
purchase
803
fifth
avenue,
413,
8th
street
and
417.
B
P
B
P
B
Approved
from
councillor
house,
I
heard
a
second
from
councillor
tucker.
I
believe
any.
There
is
some
discussion
from
councillor
crabb.
R
S
I
Since
councillor
crabb
asked
that
question,
I
think
is:
is
it
georgia
court
I'm
trying
to
think.
P
P
B
P
And
this
is
from
faith
and
blue
organization
doing
business
as
moving
movement
forward
inc
to
help
facilitate
a
community
oriented
policing
program,
bringing
police
and
faith
communities
together.
We
always
appreciate
those
who
support
our
public
safety
and
provide
donations,
use
of
whitewater
reserve
funds.
Approval
is
requested
to
authorize
an
mlu.
B
Q
I'm
sorry,
mr
mayor,
I
think
that
was
number
six
that
was
missed.
Number
five
was
the
one
that
I
acts:
counselor
house,
okay,.
B
S
S
I
G
Z
Hey
sorry,
we
didn't
have
to
go
through
rezoning
on
this
and
I'm
with
houston
homes.
We've
been
in
this
community
for
50
50
years.
My
dad
started
the
company
edgar
houston
builder,
and
we've
changed
the
name
and
we've
grown
our
company
to
huge
bounds
and
we're
happy
to
be
back
in
muskogee
county,
going
to
close
over
600
homes
this
year
in
three
states
and
just
wanted
to
thank
you
all
for
having
us
back
and
let
everybody
know
that
the
development
department
did
a
great
job
during
coven.
Make
this
happen
and
this
conservation
subdivision.
B
P
B
P
Just
for
the
record,
it's
to
resurface,
eight
city,
roads,
54th
street,
from
river
road
to
veterans,
parkway
billings,
road
from
gateway
road
to
warm
streams;
road
torch
hill,
road
from
south
lumpkin
road
to
fort
benning,
road
morris,
road
from
forest
road
to
buena,
vista
road,
north
lumpkin,
road
from
casita
road
to
victor
drive,
u.s
280,
30th
avenue
from
casita
road
to
victor
drive,
u.s
280,
andrews
road
from
cedar
road
to
universal
road;
double
churches,
road
from
river
road
to
I-185,
overpass
bridge
number,
nine.
On
my
agenda.
B
B
P
Sure
we've
got
some
things
that
we've
told
you
about
with
public
safety
that
we're
going
to
be
doing,
and
we
do
have
some
public
safety
people
represented
here
tonight.
But
we've
got
a
ladder
truck
with
loose
equipment
for
fire
ems.
Then
we've
got
the
gma
lease
for
that
ladder
truck
with
loose
equipment.
P
P
Two
of
them
we've
got
ford,
250
pickup
trucks
for
engineering,
there's,
two
commercial
dishwasher
for
the
jail
we've
got
zomat
project
funding
payment
to
the
community
foundation
of
the
chattanooga
valley,
and
we've
got
an
amendment
for
space
planning
program
and
then
design
professional
services
for
the
ccg
center
project,
columbus,
consolidated
government
center
project,
it's
an
add-on.
B
Mr
mr
higley,
if
you
would
give
a
very
brief
or
I
can
a
description
of
the
zomed
project,
so
the
council
will
know
what
we're
doing
with
regards
to
vaccination.
B
To
you
on
it,
okay,
all
right.
We
we
were
approached.
We
actually
received
an
email,
and
I
forwarded
it
to
betsy
covington
over
at
the
community
foundation
because
they
had
partnered
with
the
knight
foundation
and
they
were
showing
a
lot
of
promise
in
increasing
the
vaccination
rates.
B
So
miss
covington
took
the
lead
and
has
put
together
partners
from
alabama
from
georgia
and
from
individuals
that
are
normal
investors
in
the
community
foundation,
and
typically
this
organization
is
shown
across
municipalities
and
states,
an
increase
of
anywhere
from
four
to
eight
percent
in
the
vaccination
rate,
so
we're
about
42
right
now,
so
if
we
could
get
eight
out
of
them,
we'd
get
over
50,
which
I
think
would
put
us
in
pretty
good
shape.
But
this
is
our
portion
of
zomad.
Russell
county
is
a
participant
as,
as
are
some
other
individuals.
P
So
with
that
mirror,
I'm
going
to
call
up
mr
peter
bowden
with
the
cbb.
F
B
AE
How's
everyone
and
it's
honored
to
be
with
you
again,
and
we
always
try
to
bring
you
an
update
as
to
how
the
industry
hospitality
industry
is
doing,
and
I
have
to
admit
that
what
we're
going
to
talk
about
this
evening
is
fiscal
21.
So
this
is
for
a
recap
and
then
a
little
bit
of
what
we're
looking
for
for
the
future.
AE
AE
We
are
optimistic
that
the
worst
is
behind
us,
but
as
we've
heard
throughout
this
meeting
and
other
headlines
throughout
the
months
that
we
are
watching
the
impact
of
the
delta
variant
and
how
that
is
impacting
travel
overall
and
then,
if
we
look
at
smith,
tribal
research-
and
this
is
a
third
party
report-
that
tracks
the
hotel
performance
throughout
the
nation-
and
this
particular
report
represents-
what's
happening
in
the
columbus
again
looking
at
the
same
time
period.
You
can
see
a
very
similar
pattern
of
with
the
previous
chart.
AE
We
just
looked
at
the
top
line,
the
red
that
is
average
daily
rate
of
hotels
throughout
the
city.
The
middle
bar
represents
occupancy,
and
you
can
again
see
how
that
pattern
began
to
fall
during
the
winter
months
and
then
a
steep
climb
for
the
spring
again
as
travel
resumed
and
then
the
last
line
there
is
repar,
and
that
is
the
that
is
the
metric
that
hotels
use
to
determine
their
value,
how
they
can
sell
their
rooms
a
profit
of
what
they
can
sell
their
room.
AE
In
essence,
what
we
did
is
we
managed
to
provide
growth
and
audience
development
with
no
spin
and
again
that
references
that
earlier
chart
and
one
we
wanted
to
put
up
to
show
you
how
covid
had
impacted
our
revenue
stream,
but
by
working
together
across
many
channels.
Through
our
collaboration
with
our
partners,
we
were
able
to
implement
a
data-driven
tourism
recovery
strategy
which
leveraged
things
like
frequency
of
posts
on
our
social
media.
AE
Increased
volume
of
content
developed
each
month
implemented
a
vibrant
and
captivating
imagery
to
ensure
that
our
audience,
the
visitor
would,
as
they
emerge
from
their
quarantine
as
we
can't.
We
emerge
through
the
pandemic
to
the
spring
travel
season.
That
columbus
was
definitely
on
their
mind
when
they
began
to
implement
their
dreaming
that
they
had
been
done
into
actual
call
to
action
and
then
locally.
AE
We
worked
to
provide
increased
brand
awareness
through
free
programming
that
we
offered
through
workshops
for
our
partners,
social
media
support
for
small
businesses,
who
were
impacted
terribly
by
the
pandemic.
We
hosted
our
annual
collaborate
summit.
Of
course
it
was
done
virtually
which
focused
on
a
social
media.
It
was
a
workshop
for
social
media
strategies
to
help
our
partners
figure
out
how
to
deal
with
covid
and
the
pandemic
again,
using
little
or
no
money
in
order
to
market
their
facility
again
to
create
and
make
sure
that
awareness
was
top
of
mind
for
their
audience.
AE
Despite
all
of
this,
we've
experienced
growth
in
all
of
our
social
media
platforms,
facebook,
twitter,
instagram
and
so
forth.
We've
increased
the
number
of
our
industry
leaders
sharing
our
content
and
this.
What
this
means
is
explore.
Georgia
best
of
the
southeast
travel
south
to
name
just
a
few-
have
all
picked
up
our
content,
so
we
have
gotten
a
not
just
a
columbus
or
regional
impact,
but
it's.
AE
This
is
now
through
the
southeast
and
we
continue
to
build
a
positive
working
relationship
with
our
local
partners
in
the
hospitality
industry
in
fy
21,
the
tourism
recovery
plan,
including
work
included
working
with
tribal
journalists,
and
we're
pleased
to
report
that
in
fiscal
21,
131,
published
results
came
about
because
of
this
work.
We
also
conducted
a
virtual
travel
writer
tour,
which
included
15
journalists.
Again
we
did
this
over
zoom.
We
had
our
stakeholders
present.
We
did
everything
we
normally
do,
but
it
was
all
done
electronically
and
all
of
these
efforts
resulted
again.
AE
This
is
last
year
in
1.6
billion,
with
a
b
impressions
articles
that
were
written
about
columbus
for
an
earned
media
value
of
14.5
million
dollars,
meaning
that
we
spent
only
in
the
investment
to
host
these
travel
riders.
We
were
able
to
garner
a
huge
return
on
investment
and,
of
course,
we've
got
to
stop
for
a
moment
and
thank
the
staff
for
figuring
out
how
to
do
this.
AE
So,
like
every
business,
a
pandemic
changed
everything
how
we
worked
at
the
cvb,
how
we
measured
our
performance
for
success,
how
our
clients
conducted
business,
and
despite
that,
we
do
have
a
great
story
to
share
with
you.
For
the
past
fiscal
year,
we
track
and
measure
several
things
to
help
determine
us
determine
what
success
looks
like
if
we've
really
moved
the
needle
and
how
we
need
to
adjust
our
plan
in
order
to
continue
to
make
success
possible.
AE
The
first
I
want
to
talk
about
are
meetings
held
this
past
year.
We
were
responsible
for
112
meetings
that
took
place
in
columbus,
with
the
economic
impact
of
13.2
million
dollars.
Lead
cent,
that's
an
internal
measurement.
That's
the
one
thing
that
we
have
absolute
control
over.
This
is
where
we
collect
information
from
our
partners
from
hotels,
meeting
venues
and
so
forth
to
build
a
package
so
that
we
can
send
that
to
the
client,
so
they
can
make
a
decision
whether
or
not
columbus
is
a
good
fit
for
their
meetings
or
convention.
AE
This
is
business
that
has
booked
columbus
and
will
occur
over
the
next
several
years.
We
are
responsible
for
tracking
and
working
with
187
pieces
of
business
meetings
and
conventions
that
have
decided
to
come
to
columbus
for
economic
impact
of
27
million
dollars
and
turn
definite
business.
This
is
this
is
the
business.
These
are
meetings
and
conventions
that
are
filling
our
pipeline.
This
is
potential
business,
meaning
that
clients
are
still
thinking
about
us
as
a
possibility
of
columbus.
AE
We've
got
to
talk
about
our
activity
records,
and
this
is
I'm
really
proud
to
to
show
this
to
you,
because
not
this
is
a
new
metric
for
us,
but
the
staff
really
focused
on
their
efforts
to
push
the
results.
AE
As
far
as
as
possible
touch
points
were
up:
52
percent,
our
client
communication
up
45
percent
site
visit,
we
conducted
20
site
visits
during
the
pandemic
and
had
an
80
conversion
rate,
meaning
that
of
those
20
80
percent
of
those
clients
chose
columbus
as
their
meeting
destination
and,
of
course,
we
feel
like-
and
I
can't
be
objective
about
this,
but
we
feel
like
we
excel
in
service.
I
mean
our
competition
tells
us.
Our
clients
tell
us
that
service
is
one
of
the
things
that
our
cbb
visit
columbus
excels
in
when
they
go
through
the
selection.
AE
Of
course,
we
pause
for
a
minute
and
look
at
what
kova
did
to
us,
and
this
is
not
a
new
chart.
This
is
just
updated
from
something
that
you've
seen
in
the
past.
We
had
161
groups
that
were
impacted
and
had
to
pause
their
business
here
in
columbus
and
that
risk
of
that
was
23
million
dollars
of
economic
impact.
The
good
news
about
that
is
that
staff
was
able
to
cover
almost
50
percent
of
that
business,
and
you
can
see
the
breakdown
on
the
far
right
of
this
chart
of
how
that
activity
is
happening.
AE
Some
of
those
went
virtual,
which
we
we
all
understand,
but
we've
we're
expecting
that
the
last
quarter
of
this
fiscal
year
that
we'll
see
a
majority
of
that
business
come
back.
So
we're
super
excited
about
that
and
again
you
can
see
moving
into
the
future
22
23
and
24
again,
that's
beginning
to
fill
up.
So
we're
really
excited
about
that
aspect
of
it.
AE
If
we
looked
at
the
client
mix
and
the
reason
in
our
market
segments
and
our
market
origin,
the
reason
why
this
is
important,
because
again
this
allows
us
to
frame
how
we
do
our
work.
On
the
left
side,
we
look
at
market
segments.
We
have
associations
smurf,
which
is
social,
military,
education,
religious
and
paternal.
AE
We'll
see
that
the
southeast
excuse
me
that
the
state
is
our
largest
feeder
market,
followed
by
national
and
the
south
east,
and
of
course
you
can
see
the
rest
of
the
breakdown.
So
again,
this
is
really
important
as
we
focus
and
put
a
laser
beam
on
our
product
on
telling
our
story,
and
then
we
look
at
an
awareness
came
the
campaign
that
we
put
in
place
working
with
a
consultant
digital
edge.
AE
We've
done
this
because
this
is
promoting
the
downtown
meeting
campus
with
the
new
infrastructure
that
was
coming
online.
We
knew
this
before
cobit
was
a
reality.
We
had
begun
this
strategy.
We
have
continued
to
move
through
it
and
evolve
it
as
things
have
changed
in
the
marketplace,
but
digital
edge
performance
for
us
is
really
something
to
make
amazing.
To
look
at
their
regular
newsletter
for
us,
our
open
rate
is
22
percent
when
other
campaigns
that
they
do
work
with
on
average
is
10
to
15
percent.
AE
So
again,
a
phenomenal
work
that
this
consultant
has
done
for
us.
Click-Through
rate
averages:
seven
percent:
our
campaign
is
nearly
90
percent.
So
again,
it's
because
of
the
story
that
we're
telling
and
how
we
have
evolved
in
this
new
infrastructure
is
repositioning
columbus
for
meetings
and
conventions
and
our
google
advertising.
AE
Our
campaign
delivered
our
message
to
over
three
million
potential
decision
makers.
This
commission
and
meeting
planners
with
a
click-through
rate
of
0.31
again
phenomenal
results
very
pleased
with
this.
This
this
work
that
this
group
has
done
and
we
will
continue
working
through
them
for
the
remainder
of
this
fiscal
year.
AE
This
new
revenue,
so
that
we
can
help
build
awareness
for
their
organizations.
And
if
we
look
forward
and
as
we
wrap
up
the
presentation
this
evening,
it's
important
to
note
that
the
georgia
department
of
economic
development
has
set
its
own
records
for
the
fiscal
year.
They've
added
more
jobs.
They've
had
more
capital
investment
than
ever
before
and
they've
added
more
projects
outside
of
the
atlanta
area,
and
that
is
key,
because
this
means
that
there's
an
opportunity
for
columbus
and
its
travel
industry.
AE
The
department
has
placed
a
huge
emphasis
on
supporting
tourism,
and
this
is
this
beginning
has
begun
early
on
with
the
relief
that
has
come
from
the
state
and
through
the
department
of
economic
development.
There's
been
this
realization
that
the
impact
of
tourism
has
impacted
all
businesses
and
that
there
is
no
recovery
until
the
hospitality
industry
goes
back
to
work.
AE
The
department
has
hired
a
new
deputy
commissioner
for
tourism,
mark
jaronsky
he's
bringing
a
new
focus
to
the
industry.
Statewide
we've
actually
hosted
mr
dronks,
the
deputy
commissioner
for
tourism.
In
columbus
several
times,
he
invited
me
to
speak
at
the
department
economic
development
board
to
bring
a
state
of
tourism
for
on
behalf
of
columbus
to
that
board.
So
they
could
see
what
we
were
doing
to
mitigate
the
impact
of
covid
and
simply
put
when
we
look
at
all
of
this.
There
is
this
synergy.
AE
That's
happening
at
the
state
level,
with
the
department
of
economic
development
and
the
georgia
tourism
foundation,
and
it
the
the
effort
is
the
the
goal
is
to
lift
up
and
support,
not
just
tourism,
the
leisure
market,
but
also
meetings
and
conventions.
This
was
discussed
very
heavily
at
this
past
year's
governor's
conference
on
tourism.
The
meeting
aspect
of
it.
AE
AE
Everything
from
white
water,
which
we
you
all
talked
about
this
evening-
expanding
the
trade
center,
a
huge
investment
new
hotels
in
uptown-
and
the
list
goes
on
quite
frankly-
and
what's
really
incredible
about
this
hotel
investment
is
that
during
the
pandemic,
when
everything
seemed
to
stop,
we
had
two
hotels
that
were
completely
excuse
me
that
were
opened,
one
hotel
completely
renovated
and
two
more
are
still
under
construction.
So
again
things
have
changed.
AE
The
landscape
is
changing
here
in
columbus
and
we
have
the
opportunity
to
recruit
more
meetings
and
conventions
more
visitors,
but
we
need
some
help.
This
means
adding
additional
funding
from
the
city,
especially
when
we
look
how
the
pandemic
crippled
and
devastated
revenue
that
we
talked
about
just
a
little
bit
ago
as
weed
as
the
cbb
continues
to
ramp
up
its
marketing
average.
AE
There
needs
to
be
some
initial
additional
funding
to
help
the
cbb
not
only
to
position
the
city
to
take
advantage
of
what's
happening
at
the
state
level,
but
to
leverage
the
program
of
work
and
to
protect
the
growth
of
tourism
investment
here
in
columbus,
and
I
want
to
close
with
this
last
slide.
This
is
a
quote
from
matt
swift
he's
a
community
leader,
former
cvb
board
member.
AE
He
we
talked
at
the
g
deck
board
meeting
a
couple
of
months
ago.
He
also
sits
now
at
that
is
as
a
board
member
for
the
department
of
economic
development,
but
he's
also
recently
appointed
to
the
georgia
tourism
foundation
foundation,
and
mr
swift
has
said
that
to
there
has
to
be
a
continued
and
additional
investments
are
needed
so
that
columbus
can
get
its
share
of
the
pie
to
leverage
the
state's
focus
on
expanding
tourism.
AE
It
takes
resources,
it
takes
advocacy
and
you
all
have
been
that
for
us,
and
I
want
to
thank
you
for
that
support.
I
want
to
thank
you
for
your
confidence
in
our
organization
to
move
the
needle
to
create
an
economic
impact
for
the
city,
and
we
look
for
the
future
look
forward
to
the
future
for
opportunity
for
success,
and,
ultimately
it
all
goes
back
to
my
staff
and
what
they
do
every
day
when
they
come
to
work
and
focus
on
making
a
difference
for
columbus.
AE
G
AF
So
what
I
want
to
talk
real
briefly
with
you
all
about
is
just
to
share
some
information
that
the
city
manager
gave
us
a
charge
in
terms
of
coming
up
with
a
way
of
getting
commit,
getting
information
out
to
the
community
that
the
community
may
not
be
aware
of
may
not
know
that
they
need.
It
may
not
know
that
it
exists,
and
I
don't
know
if
you
want
to
just
mention
why
your
your
first
conversation
we
had
and
talking
about
the
person
that
came
to
you
and
said
hey,
I
didn't
know
this
existed.
AF
I
didn't
know
that
existed
and
and
several
of
the
department
directors
that
were
impacted
from
metra,
especially
parks
and
recreation,
start
talking
about
how
we
could
get
information
out
because
it
initially
started
with.
AF
How
can
we
get
information
about
out
about
the
career
opportunities
that
we
have
and
get
more
citizens
make
sure
that
they
are
aware
of
it
and
an
easy
way
for
them
to
get
this
information
apply
for
jobs
and
that
sort
of
thing,
so
it
spread
to
a
couple
other
key
areas
that
we
think
that
the
community
would
greatly
benefit,
not
just
certain
areas
of
the
community
but
any
area
of
the
community.
So
this
is
just
a
real
brief
presentation
of
this
project
that
we
have
launched.
AF
AF
The
initial
recreation
centers
where
these
kiosks
are
located
are
at
29th,
street
recreation,
center,
flew
ellen
recreation,
center,
frank
chester
and
then
the
gallup
senior
center.
So
that's
where
they
are.
Our
goal
is
to,
depending
on
how
this
works,
they
will
be
located
throughout
the
city,
so
the
information
that
we
think
citizens
might
benefit
from
they
may
know
about
it.
AF
They
may
not
know
about
this
information,
but
there's
all
sorts
of
information
here
and
I'll
show
you
a
couple
of
slides
on
employment,
there's
information
on
housing,
information
on
transportation,
health,
medical,
legal
information
and
food
information.
Everybody
has
probably
heard
of
somebody
who
was
food
insecure.
AF
AF
If
you're
a
young
person
there's
a
benefit
if
you're
an
adult,
if
you
are
a
household
with
children
without
children,
if
you
are
a
regular
citizen,
if
you're
a
military
family,
if
you're
a
business
owner,
there's
a
resource
for
you,
so
there's
a
special
feature,
and
I
know
the
mayor
is
going
to
want
to
talk
about
this
one
there's
a
special
feature:
that's
added
to
these
kiosks.
AF
It
has
to
do
with
these
mobile
units,
there's
a
mobile
food
market,
a
mobile
clinic
and
then
there's
the
rolling
mobile
recreation
unit
that
the
mayor's
committee
has
spirited.
So
you
can
get
information
about
these
mobile
units
on
these
kiosks
as
well.
So
this
is
just
a
picture
of
what
the
kiosk
looks
like.
These
are
the
categories
that
are
on
there
right
now
from
employment,
housing,
transportation,
health
and
medical
legal
food.
And
then
you
see
at
the
bottom,
you
see
3-1-1
and
you
can
click
on
311
feed
in
the
valley.
AF
As
we
know,
that's
the
hub
of
food
pantries
any
need
related
to
food
feed
in
the
valley
and
then,
of
course,
there's
even
united
way.
So
let's
say
you
clicked
on
this
and
I
got
these
kind
of
inverted
but
you'll
see
maybe
it'll
make
more
sense.
I
think,
as
we
go
through,
let's
say
you
weren't
looking
for
a
career
opportunity,
you
go
up
to
flew
ellen
recreation
center
and
this
kiosk
is
just
sitting
there.
AF
So
then,
and
you
and
you
see
employment,
so
you
just
click,
you
just
click
employment
and
it
pops
up
first
job
opportunity,
of
course,
with
the
columbus
consolidated
government.
All
you
do
is
you
click
there
and
you
can
apply
for
your
job
right
there
or,
let's
say
goodwill.
Many
of
you
are
familiar
with
goodwill:
the
career
center.
AF
It
is
also
just
a
hub
of
career
opportunities,
not
only
in
columbus
but
throughout
this
region
and
they're,
just
a
list
of
other
career
opportunities
that
the
person
can
look
at
and
you
actually
apply
for
the
job
right
there
you
have
to
go
anywhere,
you
don't
have
to
come
downtown.
You
don't
have
to
go
anywhere
else.
If
you
don't
have
a
a
phone,
if
you
don't
have
a
computer
at
your
house,
you
go
to
one
of
these
recreation
centers
and
you
just
get
at
it.
AF
So
that's
unemployment
and
then,
let's
just
say,
you're
interested
in
housing.
This.
This
is
just
a
short
list
of
what's
on
the
kiosk
from
emergency
shelter,
rapid,
rapid
re-housing,
homeless
prevention.
Many
of
you
know
about
salvation
army,
saint
ann's,
many
outreaches
there
on
this
kiosk
here
and
then
health
and
medical,
let's
say
you're
interested
in
you.
You
want
to
get
your
covet
vaccine
or
you
need
to
go
to.
You
need
urgent
care,
so
you've
got
a
list
of
options
here
where
you
click
on
it
and
you
get
information
right
there.
AF
AF
Then
I
talked
about
food
already,
so
there's
feeding
feed
in
the
valley
there
and
then
there's
information
about
the
mobile
food
unit.
That's
there.
You
click
on
that
or
you
call
the
number.
The
one
good
thing
about
this
too,
with
the
these
mobile
units
is
and
when
I'll
get
to
transportation.
It's
the
next
one.
You
there
there's
going
to
be
a
map
of
where
the
mobile
units
are
in
the
community,
so
you
can
know
where
the
mobile
unit
is
going
to
be,
as
well
as
on
the
feed
in
the
valley.
AF
Let's
say
you
click
on
that
and
your
address.
Your
zip
code
is
31907,
so
you
click
on
you
type
in
your
zip
code
31907,
and
it's
going
to
tell
you
the
closest
food
pantry
food
area
that
you
can
look
for.
You
can
get
food
purchase,
vegetables.
Those
in
your
area
is
going
to
tell
you
that
you
just
type
in
your
zip
code
and
then
these
is
going
to
pop
up
there
for
you,
okay.
So
this
is
what
it
looks
like
at:
flew
ellen
recreation
center
and
gallup
center.
AF
AF
You
can
do
it
that
way
either
way
and
here's
another
one
at
29th
street
recreation,
center
and
frank
chester.
You
see
the
young
lady
to
the
left,
that's
joy!
She
works
out
there
she's
clicking,
you
just
click
there
and
they
are
big
enough
where
you
can
sit
or
stand
and
maneuver
it,
but
it's
not
so
big
such
that
other
people
around
you
can
pay
attention
to
what
you're
doing
so.
AF
That's
that's
it
in
a
nutshell,
and
in
terms
of
our
next
steps,
we've
had
the
kiosk
in
these
recreation
center
for
at
two
to
three
weeks
now,
so
we
can
glean
information
from
them.
For
example,
we
can
tell
how
many
clicks
were
on
food
in
the
valley,
so
that
will
give
us
some
information
to
understand.
Okay,
this
is
popular.
Everybody
uses
the
food
in
the
valley,
or
everybody
uses
one
of
the
other
categories.
That's
on
there
that'll
give
us
information
to
say:
okay,
we
can
do
more
in
this
area.
AF
We
can
add
more
links
there,
because
we
see
that
that's
popular
and
so
now
this
there's
not
going
to
be
a
separate
app
for
this.
But
if
you
have
the
311
app
there,
this
is
going
to
be
a
link
on
the
311
app.
AF
AF
The
recreation
centers
metro,
transit
they've
already
asked
about
building,
maybe
two
kiosks
there:
the
city
services
center
here
the
civic
center
and
other
high
traffic
areas,
and
as
I
mentioned,
there
won't
be
a
separate
app
for
this.
But
if
you
have
the
311
app,
there
will
be
a
link
to
the
city
resource
center
there
and
that's
it
any
questions
very.
K
It's
fantastic,
it's
amazing,
wonderful
job
to
you
and
your
team.
I
had
a
question
for
you:
the
kiosk,
the
computers.
Are
we
putting
them
in
the
in
the
like
in
the
library
and
the
recreation
center
or
are
they
providing
the
computer?
And
then
we
add
the
kiosk
to
it?.
AF
AF
For
example,
I
went
to
gallup
senior
center,
so
you
just
walk
in,
and
the
kiosk
is
right
there
to
you
left,
and
the
other
thing
I
failed
to
mention
is
for
the
four
kiosks
that
have
already
been
placed
the
employees
that
work
there
they've
been
given
a
brief
training
overview
so
that,
even
though
the
kiosks
are
intuitive,
you
just
go
up
to
it
and
you
can
pretty
much
figure
out
how
it
works,
but
the
employees
that
work
there.
AF
They
have
been
given
a
training
awareness,
so
they
can
answer
questions
for
citizens
when
they
come
in.
If
they
say
well
what
about
this?
And
what
about
that?
So
they
have.
They
have
training
one
of
the
things
the
young
lady
at
the
gallup
senior
center
told
me
she
said:
there's
some
there's
a
housing
complex
over
there
and
they
come
there
employ
people
that
live
there.
They
come
to
the
gallup
center
and
they
have
a
lot
of
questions.
AF
Some
of
the
people
from
the
housing
complex
next
door
come
same
thing
at
29th,
street
people
will
come
and
they'll
ask
the
center
director
questions
and
the
center
director
can
even
use
the
kiosk
that
she
can
direct
them
to
use
the
kiosk
or
she
can
go
there
and
get
information
and
help
them
get
information.
But.
K
Okay,
my
reason
for
asking
is
because
not
everybody
goes
to
the
recreation
centers.
So
not
everybody
goes
to
the
libraries
either.
So
I
was
just
thinking,
maybe
some
primary
gas
stations
or
even
churches,
to
have
the
kiosk
in
their
facility
where
people
from
the
neighborhood
or
their
church
members
themselves
can
use
it
or
probably
partner
up
with
some
of
the
gas
stations
and
see
if
they'll
provide
the
kiosks
and
we
provide
the
information
just
food
for
thought,
because
I
think
it's
a
wonderful
idea.
P
Well,
and
maybe
if
I
may,
we
are
just
getting
started
with
this,
and
and
actually
it
came
out
the
mayor
and
I
have
had
a
couple
of
several
meetings
with
norman
quarles,
norman
quarles
and
and
and
they
kept
talking
about,
you
know
jobs
and
convenience,
and
so
you
know
mayor
and
I
I've
had
a
number
of
meetings
with
them,
and
so
you
know
we
came
up
with
this
as
a
result
of
those
meetings.
I.
P
We
were
trying
to
just
get
high
traffic
public
facilities-
pardon
me
yes,
yeah
and,
and
so
we'll
see
where
it
goes,
we've
deployed
four
and
it
took.
I
gotta
commend
our
hr
director
and
our
I.t
department
and
parks
and
rec
I
mean
they
were
open
to
it
at
all.
Their
facilities
and
hr
jumped
on
it
and
and
and
forest
chole
and
and
jeremy,
and
all
of
those
people
in
I.t
said
we'll
we'll
figure
out
this
kiosk
thing
and
they
did
and
and.
K
I
think
it's
fantastic,
I
like
to
be
able
to
see
it
implemented
in
more
places.
I
know
it's
a
pilot,
but
you
always
make
your
wish
list
and
I
think
it's
just
important
that
we
try
to
look
at
those
other
avenues,
and
you
said
I
wanted
to
ask
you,
because
we
all
have
facebooks
and
websites
for
different
things
that
we
do.
K
About
it,
the
more
input
we
have,
the
more
people
will
use
it,
and
I
would
like
to
see
them
in
a
couple
of
churches
and
a
couple
you
know
gas
stations
or
grocery
stores
like
publix
piggly,
wiggly
winn-dixie,
where
their
people
come
in
there.
I
think
we
can
talk
to
them
and
and
build
some
kind
of
he's.
K
G
I
Technology
and
resources-
so
I'm
excited
about
this
when
we
do
add
that
section
on
the
311
app
can
y'all,
please
send
it
look.
I
got
my
app
out
right
now.
It's.
W
I
It's
on
my
home
screen.
I
use
that
311
all
the
time,
but
not
only
that,
I
know
tiasha.
Actually,
deputy
city
manager,
lisa
goodwin,
had
told
tiasha
to
give
us
a
3-1-1.
What
was
like
printouts
for
our
district
and
I've
been
going
to
churches,
dropping
them
off.
You
know
talking
to
the
pastors
and
explaining
to
them
what
3-1-1
app
does.
I
So,
if
I'm
say
this
for
for
me
me
because
she's
saying
put
it
in
churches,
the
way
we
can
put
it
in
churches
is
if
we
have
that
on
the
app
and
we
just
promote
that
3-1-1
out
and
they
can
have
everything
at
their
fingertips
and
I
think
you'll
get
more
people
you'll
get
more
people
by
using
the
3-1-1
app.
So.
G
B
I
No,
but
what
was
presented
is
that
that
resource
would
be
a
link
correct
on
the
one
one
app
so
when,
if
she
does
the
we
do
a
promo
and
actually
add
that
311
f
you're,
actually
yeah
you're,
actually
making
it
wider.
The
use
you
understand
I
see
over
there,
the.
G
AF
AF
H
P
B
D
D
So
besides
the
three
one
one
app
we'll
be
able
to
go
to
the
311
link
like
from
the
city
website
and
get
to
this
someday,
because
that
would
help
people
like
me.
He.
P
R
Counselor,
thank
you,
I'm
wondering
if
we
can
eventually
link
the
tax
commissioner's
kiosk
and
this
together
too
so
people
can
go
and
pay
their
their
taxes.
I
L
Yeah,
I
just
wanted
to
say
thank
you.
I
appreciate
your
update
and
everything.
Council
thomas
was
just
telling
me
to
tag
kiosa
up
in
publix
already.
N
L
Yeah
yeah
yeah
and
everything
so
but
anyway,
thank
you.
I
just
wanted
to
ask
the
one
question:
when
you
access
it
from
a
food
bank
standpoint,
you
were
saying
it
will,
let
you
know
the
nearest
location.
AF
Yes,
that
is
the
you:
can
access
the
valley,
the
link
for
the
valley
food
bank
once
you
click
on
the
link
there,
and
this
is
even
this
is
not
our
doing.
This
is
what's
already
there,
but
you
go
to
that.
You
can
click
on
that
site
and
immediately
it
asks
you.
AF
You
know
if
you
want
to
find
out
where
food
different
pantries
are
available,
you
just
type
in
your
zip
code
and
then
once
you
type
in
your
zip
code,
it'll
it'll
pop
up
nearest
food
sites,
pantries
in
your
area,
and
you
can
just
go
to
them
or
you
can
call
and
say
hey,
is
today
a
day
I
can
come
what's
going
on,
for
example,
when
and
I
apologize,
I
can't
think
of
it
when
you
go
to
the
civic
center
and
you
can
get
food
that
that's
available
as
well
all
those
kinds
of
announcements
where
food
giveaway
is
that
that's
available
as
well.
G
G
I
Tucker-
and
you
know
we're
gonna-
get
excited
about
this
city
manager.
Don't
forget
about
fort
benning,
because
a
lot
of
times
the
spouses
and
with
jeremy,
mentioning
thanks
to
counselor
house
talking
about
the
it
being
on
a
3-1-1.
You
can
just
go
to
the
website.
They
could
possibly
put
that
at
martin
army.
You
know
because
they
have
a
open
area,
and
I
know
many
people
know
we
wait
a
long
time
to
get
our
medication.
I
So
so,
when
you're
out
there
there
could
be
a
resource
and
they
can
set
up,
and
I
used
to
do
it.
So
I
know
that
out
there
at
martin
army
and
I
think
that
would
be
a
good
addition.
You
know
for
a
partnership
with
fort
bennett.
X
I'm
really
this
is
this
is
novel.
I'm
I'm
really
glad
to
see
health,
because
we're
involved
in
the
organization
that
we're
going
to
direct
centers
sure
to
give
health
information.
So
this
is
definitely
an
assistant,
something
that
really
should
be
ongoing.
You'd,
be
surprised
how
many
people
don't
know
how
to
navigate
the
social
system.
That's
set
up
to
help
them
yes,
and
so
this
is
this.
Is
this
is
awesome?
Okay,
I
think
holly
was
kind
enough
to
hook
us
up
for
a
year
going
to
the
rec
center,
so
this
is
just
an
additional
assistant.
X
A
G
AG
AG
AG
Good
evening,
so
this
is
the
monthly
finance
update
the
first
one
in
fy
22.
This
is
as
of
august
2021,
and
let
me
just
preface
this
update
by
I'm
just
saying
you
know
august.
Is
you
know
that
time
frame
where
we
are
preparing
for
the
audit-
and
there
are
a
lot
of
accruals
and
so
forth
that
are
going
on?
AG
So
I
say
that
to
say
that
it
looks
a
little
may
look
a
little
odd
for
some
funds,
but
that'll
it'll,
smooth
itself
out
as
we
move
on
in
the
fiscal
year,
so
starting
in
the
general
fund,
when
comparing
august
2021
to
august
2020
general
fund
is
up
11.40
percent
and
again
in
this
particular
case.
AG
What
has
happened
here
for
the
general
fund
and
many
of
these
other
funds
that
are
tax
supported
is
that
the
tax
property
tax
distributions
were
received
and
posted
a
little
earlier
this
year
than
they
were
last
year.
So
that's
why
you'll
see
on
a
lot
of
these
funds.
There
are
revenues
posted
this
year
that
weren't
there
last
year,
and
so
that's
the
reason
for
those
extraordinary
increases.
AG
Again,
we'll
see
that
sort
of
smooth
out,
as
we
get
into
september's
report
that
we'll
make
next
month
the
other
local
option.
Sales
tax
fund
is
up
10.10
percent,
and
that
is
true
that
there's
that
sales
taxes,
when
comparing
august
of
2021
to
august
2020,
is
up
over
10
percent.
AG
What
we'll
see,
though,
starting
with
next
month's
report,
we'll
see
those
that
one
time
department
of
revenue,
audit
money
being
accounted
for
in
our
collections,
and
so
our
likely
it'll
probably
show
some
decreases
for
comparing
last
year
to
the
current
years
of
that
point,
but
I'll
also
provide
what
the
true
number
is.
AG
Without
that
audit
money,
storm
water
fund
up
159,
paving
fund
301
percent
again,
this
is
primarily
tax
supported
and
that's
the
reason
why
it's,
showing
that
extraordinary
increase
medical
center
fund
is
reporting
revenues
this
year,
none
reported
for
this
period.
Last
year.
The
integrated
waste
fund
is
up.
1.93
percent-
that
is
largely
due
to
the
pine
grove
landfill
collections,
are
up
at
the
pine
grove
landfill
for
the
integrated
waste
fund.
AG
The
fee
waiver
took
place
in
september
so
that
actually
won't
show
up
until
we
get
september's
report.
So
we'll
see
what
the
revenues
look
like
at
that
particular
time:
the
e911
fund,
the
emergency
telephone
fund.
There
is
no
change
from
this
year
last
year,
both
showing
that
zero
dollars
recorded
in
revenue,
and
that
is
expected.
There
is
a
two-month
lag
in
the
receipt
of
the
9-1-1
fees
from
the
georgia
department
of
revenue
and
so
we'll
see
our
first
allocation
for
july.
In
september's
report,
the
economic
development
authority
fund
posting
revenues.
AG
This
year
again,
tax
supported
the
debt
service
fund
up
9.45
percent,
the
transportation
fund.
The
metro
fund
is
showing
a
decrease
of
78,
almost
79
percent
and
again
in
august,
we're
posting
accruals,
and
so
a
lot
of
the
revenues
that
are
coming
in
at
the
beginning
of
the
year
apply
to
the
prior
year
and-
and
so
this
is
really
a
timing
situation
here,
I'm
not
concerned
about
the
transportation
fund.
This
will
smooth
itself
out
in
the
second
quarter
when
we
start
requesting
and
receiving
reimbursement
for
current
year
expenses.
AG
The
trade
center
fund
is
up
121.59
percent.
This
is
due
to
an
increase
in
their
space
rental
revenues.
I
would
imagine,
with
the
pandemic
being
able
to
open
back
up,
you
know
they're
running
a
lot
of
space
out
at
the
trade
center,
so
they're
they
are
up
by
that
amount.
The
bull,
creek
golf
course
fund
is
down
3.20
percent
creek
golf
course.
Fun
is
up
16.76.
AG
AG
That
was
that
shuttered
venue's
grant
that
council
approved
a
couple
months
ago,
and
so
that's
why
it's
showing
that
significant
increase
so
moving
on
down
the
snapshot
to
the
other
local
auction
sales
tax
fund,
the
public
safety
summary
we've
recorded
today
about
2.5
million
in
revenue
expenditures
are
about
5.4
million
for
the
other
local
options.
Sales
tax
fund
infrastructure,
we've
recorded
about
1.1
million
in
revenue,
with
about
1.2
million
in
expenditures
moving
to
the
left
side
of
the
snapshot
in
terms
of
the
general
fund
expenditures.
AG
The
goal
here
being
in
the
second
month
of
the
fiscal
year
is
to
be
at
83.33
percent
or
above
those
highlighted
in
yellow,
didn't
quite
meet
that
mark,
but
for
very
good
reason.
For
from
for
most
of
these
or
all
of
these
really,
the
clerk
of
council
is
showing
right
on
the
cusp
there
at
83
and
that's
due
to
the
annual
munico
software
lease
payment.
AG
That's
due
at
the
beginning
of
the
fiscal
year
for
the
information
technology
department,
there
are
several
annual
fees
that
are
due
for
software
lease
and
maintenance
agreements
that
are
that
happen
at
the
beginning
of
the
fiscal
year.
AG
Then
we
have
the
engineering
department
here
again,
that's
our
motorola
contract
for
radio
maintenance
that
is
encumbered
at
the
beginning
of
the
fiscal
year
for
the
superior
court.
Judges
they're
right
on
the
cusp
there,
but
that's
only
because
of
the
encumbrance
of
the
court
reporter
services,
the
outside
services
that
they're
eligible
for
encumbran.
Those
dollars
is
what
brought
them
close
to
that
mark
and
then
the
jury
manager
at
82
percent.
AG
That's
for
the
jury,
summons,
subscription
fees
that
are
due
at
the
beginning
of
the
year
and
the
pedit
jury
fees
that
are
paid
out
on
a
daily
basis.
So
that,
in
a
nutshell,
is
the
snapshot
for
august.
Again,
you
know
august
is
where
we
are
in
preparation
for
our
the
audit
of
the
fiscal
year
that
just
ended.
So
we
have
a
lot
of
accruals
that
get
posted
back
to
that
prior
year.
So
we'll
really
start
to
see
where
we
are
in
september's
report.
F
Miss
alexander
are
any
of
those
figures
troublesome
to
you.
No
okay.
I
always
like
to
get
that
reassurance.
Q
Good
evening,
mr
mayor
and
council
for
the
clerk's
agenda
item
number
one
is
withdrawn.
Is
I'm
sorry,
mr
mayor?
I
need
to
withdraw
that
resolution
and
so
yeah,
because
he
was
in
attendance
virtually
for
part
of
the
meeting.
Yes,
thank
you
item
number.
Two
is
an
email
correspondence
from
katrina
pearson.
This
is
a
secretary
to
the
animal
control
advisory
board,
requesting
that
the
seat
of
christian
new
lay
be
declared
vacant
due
to
a
lack
of
attendance.
B
G
B
Q
Q
Q
B
Council
crab
made
the
motion
and
councilor
woodson
made
the
second
all
in
favor,
say
aye
any
opposed.
Ms
carpenter
is
confirmed.
Q
Q
The
seat
of
david
goldberg
oz
roberts,
miss
dr
william
kendall,
fran,
fluker,
orlean,
bachmann
and
larry
derby.
At
the
last
meeting,
mr
william
bandy
was
nominated
to
fill
the
seat
of
larry
derby.
However,
there
was
a
name
mix-up
and
therefore
it
was
determined
that
mr
bandy
has
already
been
confirmed
and
he
serves
as
the
district
8
representative
already,
and
this
is
why
we
have
mr
larry
derby
seat
listed
for
nominations
tonight.
Q
F
What
which
board
is
james
j
lewis?
I
don't
see.
F
B
Oh
okay,
that's
it.
Q
B
Mayor
all
right,
any
other
business
needs
to
come
before
the
council
all
right.
There
is
a
motion
in
a
second
to
adjourn,
but
I
want
to
mention
one
thing
very
quickly:
at
the
request
of
a
number
of
individuals
that
have
been
contacting
my
office
this
year
for
halloween,
we
are
recommending
and
urging
that
the
trick-or-treating
be
done
on
saturday,
so
the
kids
don't
have
so
much
trouble
getting
up
on
monday
morning
and
that
they
do
the
trick-or-treating
between
5
and
7
pm.
K
Can
you
ask,
are
we
still
going
to
do
the
trika
trunk
at
the
civic
center.
B
We
have
there's,
there's
been
a
number
of
cancellations
of
some
of
the
outdoor
events
that
are
targeted
specifically
for
young
children,
because
they're
still
not
eligible
for
the
vaccine.
I
know
councillor
barnes,
it
eats
the
way
it
is
hard
to
do
it,
but
he
canceled
the
veterans
day
parade
the
christmas
day.
Parade
has
been
canceled
and
the
spooktacular,
that
is,
a
cooperation
between
parks
and
rec,
and
the
uptown
group
is
also
cancelled,
so
we're
we're
right.
