your
City
Council.
B
Now
good
evening
and
welcome
to
the
March
5th
meeting
of
the
Columbus
City
Council
I'm
Judy
Thomas
I'm,
the
counselor
at-large
council
post
9,
our
mayor
mayor
Henderson,
is
in
Atlanta
tonight
today
was
Georgia
day
at
the
Capitol,
and
so
he
has
spent
the
day
in
Atlanta
with
our
legislative
delegation.
Mayor
Pro
Tem,
mrs.
Pugh,
is
on
her
way.
So
as
soon
as
she
gets
here,
she
will
take
over
and
run
the
meeting.
But
in
the
meantime
we
wanted
to
get
started
as
close
to
own
time
as
we
could.
B
C
Let's
pray
your
heavenly
Father,
we
come
to
you
and
we
thank
you
so
much
for
all
that.
You've
given
to
us
I,
think
of
the
verse
where
it
says
every
good
gift
and
every
perfect
gift,
cometh
down
from
above
and
Lord
you've,
given
us
many
wonderful
gifts,
including
this
country
that
we
have
and
the
freedom
that
we
have,
and
we
thank
you
for
it.
We
thank
you
for
the
men
and
women
who
have
served
in
the
armed
service
to
give
us
that
freedom
and
we
thank
you
for
the
city
I.
C
Thank
you
for
our
first
responders
that
are
here
that
have
been
busy
these
last
few
days
and
with
the
tornado
I
pray
that
you
would
continue
to
be
with
them
and
provide
them
safety
as
they
work
in
our
community.
Thank
you
for
this
council
I
pray
that
you
would
be
with
these
men
and
women
tonight
as
they
make
decisions
I.
Think
of
the
verse
where
it
says.
If
any
man
lack
wisdom,
let
him
ask
of
God
who
give
it
to
all
men,
liberally
and
abrade.
C
If
not,
and
it
shall
be
given
him,
and
so
we
ask
for
that
wisdom
that
comes
from
you
there's
a
wisdom
that
comes
from
education
and
experience,
but
there
is
a
wisdom
that
can
only
come
from
you
and
I.
Ask
that
you
would
give
them
that
tonight
as
they
make
decisions
for
our
city.
I
asked
Lord
that
you
would
just
bless,
continue
to
bless
in
our
city
and
work
in
a
special
way.
We
love
you
and
we
ask
these
things
in
Jesus,
name,
Amen.
Thank.

D
Well,
I
would
like
to
say
is
I,
don't
like
about
Chris
he's
so
personable
he
comes
around
asking
how
your
food
is.
He
sees
you
someplace,
you
ask
your
house
a
meal,
that's
the
Cossack
airs.
He
really
wants
you
to
tell
him
and
I
just
want
to
say.
Thank
you.
Father
you've
done
help
bring
the
Trade
Center
bed
well,.
O
K
O
Thank
you.
This
is
just
one
opportunity
for
this
team
to
thank
the
chef
that
I
mean
every
day.
It
does
take
a
team,
but
this
is
it
takes
a
leader
to
and
we're
an
honor
to
have
him
at
the
Trade.
Center
is
amazing
to
have
him
right
here
in
Columbus
Georgia,
where
we
get
to
serve
the
citizens
every
day
with
a
delicious
meal,
and
they
come
in
and
national
chef
of
the
year.
That
is
right
here
in
Columbus,
Georgia,
great.
K
M
M
And
whereas
locally,
the
columbus
chapter
of
the
order
of
DeMolay
will
observe
2019.
As
its
97th
anniversary
celebrating
its
position
by
continuing
to
foster
an
environment
for
young
men
to
lead,
successful,
happy
and
productive
lives,
and
whereas
the
mayor
and
council
of
columbus
georgia
urge
all
citizens
to
join
in
saluting
the
young
man
of
the
order
of
DeMolay
and
in
expressing
appreciation
for
the
fine
example
set
by
them
in
contributing
to
the
welfare
of
our
community.
That
now,
therefore
skip
Henderson.
Mayor
of
Columbus
Georgia
does
hereby
proclaim
the
month
of
March
as
DeMolay
month.

V
So
mayor
program
in
arrow
good
afternoon,
my
name
is
dr.
rocky
Marsh
and
it
has
been
an
honor
living
in
the
city.
I
was
here
just
last
year
receiving
a
separate
proclamation
for
part
of
this
work
that
I'm
here
for
today,
I
retired
out
of
the
military
and
decided
to
make
Columbus
home-
and
it
has
been
my
home
for
the
last
four
years
and
today
is
just
an
additional
honor
to
start
and
launch
an
initiative
program
where
everyone
in
Columbus
can
participate.
V
I've
been
a
native
of
Mobile
Alabama,
where
I
just
returned
from
Mardi
Gras,
Mobile
Alabama,
so
laissez
laboum,
Tim
Brule,
let
the
good
times
roll
today
is
happy
Fat
Tuesday,
so
for
anyone
in
the
council
chambers
today,
I
want
to
thank
the
team.
At
the
castle,
a
government
TV
station
I
brought
Keon
cake
ice
cream
for
every
cake.
So
if
you
find
a
baby,
he's,
gonna
have
great
luck
for
for
2019,
but
the
the
organization
was
formed
as
a
scholarship
raising
program
for
our
Royal
Court.
They
unfortunately,
could
not
be
here
today.
V
Some
has
some
family
issues
with
the
recent
storms.
So
I
am
here
on
behalf
of
His
Majesty
King
Demonte
Harris,
which
is
our
2019
royal
court
King,
who
is
a
senior
Columbus
State
University
and
her
Majesty,
the
Queen
Queen
Emily?
Who
is
a
student
at
valid
CVCC?
Okay
and
they
are
our
royal
court
recipient.
V
This
year
we
have
eight
recipients
to
college
three
high
school
and
three
middle
school
and
they
will
be
out
and
about
on
the
roads
in
Liberty,
District,
Saturday
March,
the
9th
for
the
2019
fountain
city,
Mardi,
Gras,
5k,
parade
and
festival
hope
to
see
you.
There
I've
made
a
special
platform
for
you
all
to
a
seat
and
view
to
view
the
parade
if
you'd
like
to
come
out
other
than
that.
Thank
you
all
again.
V
D
U
U
In
fact,
one
in
six
children
face
hunger
every
day
and
whereas
the
Muscogee
County
school
nutrition
program
served
1
million,
nine
hundred
and
ninety
thousand
four
hundred
and
seventy-four
breakfast
meals
in
2018
at
fifty
four
different
sites,
and
whereas
students
who
eat
breakfast
are
more
likely
to
score
higher
on
a
standardized
test,
have
better
concentration
and
memory
and
maintain
a
healthy
weight.
And
whereas
the
school
nutrition
program
in
Muskogee
County
not
only
contributes
to
the
health
and
education
of
our
children.
U
W
Thank
you
so
much
I'm
Susan,
Slater
I
am
the
director
of
school
nutrition
and
we
all
know
that
a
hungry
child
cannot
learn
and
in
Muskogee
County
we
do
have
children
that
come
in
every
morning,
standing
in
line
that
we
know
are
starving
because
a
lot
of
times
the
last
meal
they
had
might
have
been
lunch
the
day
before.
So
you
know
that's
why
we
are
here.
That's
that's
our
goal
to
make
sure
that
every
child
does
have
the
nutrition
and
all
that
they
can
do
their
best
in
school.
P
I
just
like
to
add
and
I
also
want
to
thank
the
our
school
nutrition
staff
they
get
up
every
morning
eager
to
feed
children.
We
get
them
in
and
get
them
out
real
quick.
We
make
sure
their
own
time
and
on
schedule.
What.
D
P
T
Thank
You
mayor
pro-tem,
it's
my
privilege
to
publish
two
resolutions
to
recognize
the
service
of
some
two
of
our
Pro
Tem
judges
in
recorders
court.
We
want
to
express
appreciation
for
the
Honorable
Mary
Buckner
for
her
service
to
the
citizens
of
Columbus
Georgia
for
over
27
years,
as
judge
Pro
Tem
in
the
recorders
court.
We
congratulate
her
on
her
retirement.
