A
Welcome
to
columbus
connection,
I
am
your
host
david
brick
and
listen
our
library
system
in
columbus,
georgia,
the
chattahoochee
valley
library.
They
do
so
many
awesome
things
in
the
community
check
them
out,
go
on
their
website,
so
many
great
things
happening
from
guys
read
to
just
a
lot
of
stuff,
but
here's
a
great
opportunity
for
you
to
take
part
you're
going
to
raise
funds
and
have
some
fun.
It's
wine,
women
and
shoes,
and
I
have
the
executive
director
of
the
library
foundation
here
to
talk
about
it.
Welcome
to
the
show.
B
I'm
laura
ann
mann
and
I
am
the
executive
director
of
the
library
foundation
and
we
are
the
non-profit
that
raises
funds
for
our
public
libraries
and
we
are
important
because
we
help
the
library
be
more
than
what
you
remember.
Your
public
library
growing
up
we're
more
than
just
books.
The
foundation
helps
the
libraries
remain
relevant
and
we're
supporting
programs
where
we
take
programs
outside
of
the
building
to
those
who
are
most
disadvantaged
and
to
the
youngest
and
the
oldest.
So
we
go
to
day
cares
and
head
starts.
B
We
also
go
to
assisted
living
facilities
and
we're
we're
just
able
to
do
more
with
our
library
system
because
of
funds
from
the
foundation.
A
And
it
makes
so
much
sense,
but
sometimes
people
don't
really
see
a
library
as
such
a
such
a
big
place
for
community
outreach.
But
you
guys
do
so
many
wonderful
things.
I
was
a
part
of
guys
read.
This
is
my
first
year
and
guys
read
was
where
we
went
out
to
schools
and
spent
some
time
reading
the
kids
at
least
about
an
hour
or
so,
and
you
just
just
the
kids
getting
put
into
that
and
the
books
that
they
learn.
B
Pre-Covered
come
inside
our
buildings,
every
single
day
and
they're,
doing
things
from
meeting
in
the
meeting
rooms
for
free
having
business
transactions
or
me,
and
just
meeting
for
free
they're
using
computers
and
wi-fi
when
they
aren't
normally
able
to
do
that
for
free.
Where
else
can
you
go
and
not
be
expected
to
pay
something
you
can
you
can
use
the
wi-fi
at
starbucks,
but
they
want
you
to
buy
a
drink
at
the
library.
We're
not
we're
not
expecting
anything
from
you.
B
Wine,
women
and
shoes
is
our
annual
fundraiser.
This
is
the
year
six
of
white
women
and
shoes,
and
it
is
just
what
it
sounds.
Like
the
perfect.
Ladies
night
out,
there
is
wine
tasting
food
tasting
shopping.
We
have
marketplace
partners
who
come
from
all
over,
not
just
columbus,
so
you're
able
to
shop,
kendra,
scott
and
cedric
brown
and
other
things
that
aren't
readily
available
in
columbus.
B
B
That's
right,
so
all
the
funds
raised
go
to
the
muskogee
county
library
foundation
and
again
I
mentioned
what
we
support,
but
we
support
outreach
and
part
of
the
collection,
both
physical
books,
that
you
might
check
out
or
e-books
that
you
send
to
your
kindle
or
other
e-reader,
and
we
support
staff
positions,
lots
of
programs
that
are
happening
at
the
library
happen
because
of
the
foundation
and
because
we're
able
to
put
on
this
fundraiser-
and
this
is
our
sixth
year
we've
raised
450
000
through
this
event-
for
our
public
libraries.
B
Right
so
the
event
is
thursday
march
10th
at
six
o'clock,
and
it's
actually
at
the
columbus
public
library,
on
macon
road
and
between
six
to
eight
is
the
marketplace.
So
you're
shopping
wine
tasting
food
tasting.
There
are
fabulous,
soulman,
just
catering
to
your
every
need,
and
then
we
go
upstairs
to
the
second
floor
of
the
library
in
the
grand
reading
room
and
have
the
live
auction
and
the
fashion
show.
A
B
It
is,
it
is
a
beautiful
building
and
we're
lucky
to
have
it
something
like
this
in
columbus
and
you
can
get
tickets
to
the
event
on
our
website,
which
is
winewomeninchews.com.
Backslash
columbus
tickets
are
100
and
you
get
the
wine
tasting
food
tasting.
You
take
home,
a
wine
glass,
a
swag
bag
and
really
what
you're
doing
is
supporting
our
public
libraries
yeah.
A
B
A
B
Right,
we
are
watching
the
precautions
and
mandates
from
the
city
and
the
state
we
do
feel
like
it
is
safe
to
have
the
event.
We've
lowered
our
our
ticket
numbers
our
attendance
to
keep
some
of
those
precautions
in
place.
B
B
A
Love
to
see
you
there,
wine
women
in
shoes
when
you
come
and
support
this,
you
are
really
supporting
our
entire
community,
because
the
columbus
public
library
and
the
chattahoochee
valley
library
system
does
some
amazing
things
in
our
community,
so
be
a
part
of
it
and
have
some
fun
in
the
process.
Thanks
for
watching
see
you
later,
this
is
columbus.
