A
A
Welcome
to
the
lovers
connection:
I
am
your
host
David
Britt
and
today
we
have
a
great
discussion
about
ball,
headed
guys
who
wear
really
nice
socks?
No,
that's
not
what
we're
gonna
talk
about
today,
but
we
talk
about
something
that
is
actually
very
important,
especially
to
the
tri-city
community,
because
we
are
indeed
a
military
town,
and
that
is
how
we
take
care
of
our
veterans,
the
things
that
they
need
in
the
services
they
need
that
need
to
be
offered
to
them.
They're
often
many
people
go
not
knowing
how
to
access
them.
A
Tell
the
audience
who
you
are
and
the
company
that
you're
with
and
what
you
here
for.
Okay.
B
Well,
first
of
all,
bread
before
gonna,
like
I,
said
thank
you
for
allowing
us
an
opportunity
to
act
to
promote
our
event.
My
name
is
Melvin
Tanner
jr.
I
happen
to
be
the
third
vice
of
Columbus
Georgia
n-double-a-cp,
along
with
my
partner,
Tony
Hobbs
who's,
actually
chair
for
the
Armed
Service
and
Veterans
Affairs,
and
we're
putting
together
a
veteran
workshop.
So
we
can
actually
go
out
there,
educate
and
form
our
veterans
about
some
benefit
anti-litter,
but
not
only
benefited
anti-litter
also
benefits
families
may
be
entitled
to
as
well
you're.
C
B
Open
to
the
public,
okay
public
is
definitely
right
and
we're
gonna,
basically
as
a
material,
I'm,
gonna,
educate
and
inform
veterans,
and
not
only
veterans
at
attend,
you
can
have
a
veteran
coming
off
the
street
off
from
a
control
and
just
come
into
our
event
which
be
held
in
auditorium
and
give
some
of
this
good
information.
Okay,
we
want
everyone
to
show
up
a
matter
of
fact,
I
think
the
arm
capacity
auditoriums
roughly
about
115.
We
would
love
to
have
an
auditorium
full.
We.
A
B
B
In
addition
to
that,
we
also
have
the
third
branch,
which
is
the
NCA,
which
most
veterans
not
really
interesting,
but
it's
and
that's
the
cemetery
administration
and
they're
responsible,
actually,
the
upkeep
and
maintain
of
the
VA
cemeteries,
as
well
as
making
sure
that
veterans
are
aware
of
some
of
those
memorial
benefits
as
well
and
once
again,
not
only
veterans
dependents
as
well.
So
we
have
a
panel
that
we
are
put
together,
which
basically
consists
of
individuals
from
each
of
those
administrations,
give
them
some
information
or
need-to-know
information
to
our
veterans.
So.
A
C
Know
I'm
actually
born
and
raised
in
forc'd,
Arkansas
I'd
be
tabula
tarry
and
you
know
just
a
place
to
call
home
now,
since
you
know
the
time
and
the
kids
love
it
here
so
and.
A
C
It's
important
because
Columbus
is
a
very
veteran-friendly
community.
Most
people
hear
you
talk
to
their.
They
serve
in
some
capacity
yeah,
so
this
event
will
assist
them
if
they
need
some
additional
educational,
and
you
know
information
on
some
benefits
or
services
that
they
may
require,
and
the
services
may
not
be
right
now
that
they
need.
It
could
be
later
that
we
provide.
C
A
B
I
think
for
me,
one
of
the
major
things
that
sparked
this
was
I
think
around
by
2014
I
forgot
to
mention
Tony
I,
both
work
as
a
veteran
benefit
advisor
action
on
Fort,
Benning,
okay,
let's
leave
back
to
2014
I
had
or
not
I.
We
roughly
had
roughly
about
eight
widows
who
sort
of
came
to
the
office
and
their
husbands
had
to
see.
They
were
all
veterans,
and
those
spouses
didn't
know
anything
about
how
to
navigate
through
the
process
as
far
as
what
they
are
entitled
to
wants
to.
B
Okay,
once
I
discharge,
I've
seen
dd-214
to
show
died,
honorably
served
in
military
and
in
event,
I
want
to
have
a
military
funeral
then
and
leave
you
have
yes
14,
so
the
families
they
don't
know
what
those
that
people
accept
and
we
need
to
make
sure
we're
educating
them.
Let
them
know
about
that.
In
addition
to
that
those
some
of
those
children
out
there
of
some
of
the
our
veterans
may
be
retired.
B
A
certain
education
benefits
that
they're
not
aware
of
I
mean
even
know
how
to
apply
for
those
education,
but
it
was
just
that
simple
and
in
addition
to
that,
we
talked
about
homeless
veterans
as
far
as
one
of
the
things
that
actually
helped
assist
homeless
veterans,
making
sure
that
they
actually
are
rolled
in
VA
health
care.
Okay,
that's
very
important!
You
know,
thanks
to
me
and
I
spent
22
years
in
a
mill,
in
fact
not
just
23
years,
22
years,
7
months,
9
days
and
13
hours.
A
B
Care
is
she
be
near
and
dear
to
everyone's
heart:
yeah.
No
one
wants
to
retire
to
have
time
dinner,
military
and
I
take
care,
so
health
wise,
because
we
know
how
in
the
military
taking
care
yourself.
Oh
your
Health's,
pretty
much
itself
to
its
health,
driven
like
I'm,
about
a
buddy
here
to
my
left
or
my
right,
and
he
can
actually
make
sure
that
I'm
getting
up
doing
what
I
need
to
do
and
take
care
of
myself
a
lot
once
I
transition
out
of
military
I.
B
Don't
have
that
support,
so
we
need
to
make
sure
we
take
care
of
health-wise.
Take
my
medication
just
mention
about
a
na
which
is
I'm
ain't
attendance.
Some
benefits
or
didn't
sponsor
me,
but
also
be
entitled
to
as
well
cane,
is
also
a
lot
of
its
ideas
about
Scientology
they're,
not
aware
just
that.
A
There's
just
so
many
things,
you
know
it's
great,
that
you
are
doing
this
because
they're
I
think
so
many
people
either
don't
know
the
questions
there,
so
they
just
maybe
they
be
maybe
too
proud
to
ask
or
they
you
feel
isolated
and
feel
alone
or
you.
You
know,
you've
asked
the
wrong
people
the
wrong
things
and
get
the
wrong
answers,
and
now
you're,
just
tired
and
you're.
Just
frustrated
and
you're
just
stressed
out.
So
so
it's
so
great
to
have
something
like
this.
C
The
heck
that
passion
for
what
you
do
and
for
others
who
serve
so
you
want
to
make
sure
you
get
them
on
the
right
path
as
far
as
getting
their
benefits
they
may
be
entitled
to,
because
every
service
member
that
served.
You
know
whether
they
served
as
a
cook
or
empty
man.
They
made
it.
They
may
be
entitled
to
some
benefits
and
we
are
here
to
assist
and
where
they're
trying
to
buy
a
home,
something
simply
buying
a
home
using
eligibility.
We
could
provide
that
service
for
them.
Like
mr.
C
Chan
said,
education
benefits
for
their
children,
a
lot
of
them
don't
know
that
there
may
be
entire
to
education
benefits
for
their
children
once
they
get
a
certain
percentage,
so
we
can
assist
them
with
that.
So
there's
a
lot
of
things
that
we
provide
for
servicemen.
We
will
have
all
these
different
organizations
out
there
for
the
veterans
to
a
system,
rather
is
that
the
healthcare
or
the
disability
conversation
or
in
the
National
Cemetery?
That's
a
pre
needs
program.
A
B
A
C
There's
three
things
with
us:
the
VBA,
the
veterans
benefit
administration,
like
I,
said
it's
for
health
care.
It's
if
you
were
education,
disability
compensation,
things
of
that
nature.
You
have
the
VHA,
which
is
the
veteran
Health
Administration
we're
going
to
cover
healthcare
and
then
the
National
Cemetery
administration
to
cover
the
you
know
the
life
after
life
and
then
also
help.
C
C
B
Not
to
leave
out
that
on
a
state
plan
that
we
want
to
do
as
well,
yeah
life
insurance,
I'm
sure
they
have
that
covered
as
well.
Okay,
because
initially
service
members
that
you
served
together,
120
days
of
free
coverage,
sel
I,
want
to
get
out
of
military.
We're
gonna
make
sure
that
they
want
some
convenience
they
aware
of
making
sure
they
have
some
other
type
of
life
insurance
and
not
only
for
themselves,
but
their
life
insurance
they're
gonna
leave
that
financial
legacy
for
the
families
as
well.
