A
A
special
edition
of
columbus
connections.
We
are
here
at
the
14th
annual
sports
vision,
high
school
football
awards.
It's
going
to
be
an
awesome
event,
honoring
the
best
high
school
players
in
our
valley.
Now
I
don't
want
to
give
away
who
the
special
guest
is,
but
it
rhymes
with
nick
saban.
You
might
want
to
stay
tuned.
A
Welcome
back
to
columbus
connections,
we
are
here
with
the
man
who
makes
it
happen.
Mr
dj
jones,
here
at
the
14th
annual
sports
vision,
high
school
awards
launch
and
welcome
to
your
event,
the
man
that
is
making
things
happen,
big
behind
the
camera.
It's
a
lot
going
on.
What
does
it
mean
to
put
on
such
a
great
event?
Well,.
B
It's
just
a
blessing,
it's
a
blessing
to
be
able
to
do
something
or
pay
it
forward.
When
you
know
that
somebody
blessed
dale-
and
I,
when
we
were
in
this
situation,
when
we
were
in
in
middle
school,
we
were
in
high
school.
So
for
us
to
be
in
a
position
to
honor
these
kids
and
to
for
us
to
invite
coach
saban
down
to
our
city
and
to
speak
to
our
kids
and
coaches
is
that's
phenomenal,
yeah.
A
B
Be
made
possible
if
it
wasn't
for
our
great
sponsors.
You
know
this
great
building
this
great
facility,
st
luke
ministry
center,
the
service-
it's
just
it's
just
a
great
opportunity
for
us
to
go
again
to
serve
our
young
student
athletes
and
coaches.
B
Just
some
encouragement,
obviously
they
want
to
know
how
bad
you
know.
How
did
they
be?
How
did
you
beat
georgia
so
bad,
but
no
on
the
real
you
know
they
want
to
I'm
sure
they
want
to
know
about
bryce,
young,
the
quarterback
and
all
the
great
players
that
he
has
coached
and
again
just
being
in
his
presence.
One
of
the
greatest
of
all
time
is
really
really
something
that's
especially
with
dale,
and
I
that
we
were
able
to
make
this
happen.
A
C
A
Welcome
back
to
columbus
connection,
now
we
have
literal
legends
in
the
building.
We
are
standing
well.
I
am
standing
next
to
one
of
columbus's,
triumphant
legends,
mr
coach,
wallace
davis.
You
have
coached
so
many
amazing
people
and
actually
have
an
award
named
in
your
honor.
How
does
it
feel
to
be
awarded
in
that
aspect?
Well,
you
know.
D
A
D
A
Yeah,
I
mean
you
coached
at
a
time
in
columbus,
where
there
were
so
many
things
going
on
and
you've
seen
columbus
go
through.
So
many
different
ups
and
downs
and
struggles
and
part
of
that,
the
overcoming
those
struggles
was
what
you
did
for
me
on
the
football
field
and
off
the
football
field.
What
has
that
been
like?
Well.
D
I've
seen
some
changes
in
the
city
and
you
know
from
integration
when
I
started
up
to
the
merging
of
a
school
that
didn't
want
to
be
merged,
and
you
know,
but
all
in
all,
when
you
put
all
of
it
out
on
the
table,
the
results
is
positive.
Yeah.
A
D
A
A
E
Dell
and
dj
grew
up
in
columbus,
georgia,
graduated
from
high
school
in
columbus,
went
off
to
college,
pursued,
successful
athletic
endeavors
and
the
most
amazing
thing
about
sports
vision,
our
hometown
sports
guides.
They
did
it
right.
They
came
back
to
pay
it
forward,
which
is
why
we
all
are
gathered
here
today.
E
B
B
You
know
we
we
often
get
a
lot.
You
know
get
credit
for
a
lot
of
things
that
happen,
but
you
know
somebody
put
their
hands
on
us
and
you
know
we're
paying
it
forward.
The
reason
why
we
do
what
we're
doing,
because
when
we
played
middle
school
football
or
pop
warner
football
high
school
football
somebody
poured
into
us,
there
were
a
plethora
of
organizations
right,
coach
losers
and
liars
woks.
B
You
had
the
kiwanis
club,
I
mean
it
was
a
lot
of
different
the
newspaper,
the
ledger
that
made
us
feel
good.
All
the
news,
all
the
television
guys
and
the
newspaper
guys
we
love
to
get
home
on
friday
night
to
watch
our
clips
on
highlights
on
the
on
the
television
I
mean
it
made
a
difference.
At
least
it
did
to
me
and
dale
in
the
newspaper,
wake
up
the
next
morning
to
see
our
stats
to
see
how
many
touchdowns
we
ran
for
and
threw.
B
It
means
something:
it's
impactful,
it's
powerful,
it's
powerful
to
all
my
sponsors
out
there.
You
made
this
happen,
you
partnered
with
us.
We
couldn't
have
done
this
alone
and
we
don't
pretend
to
do
that.
It's
not
about
us.
We've
done.
We've
had
our
heyday
we've
had
our
heyday,
it's
about
those
young
men
out
there
and
those
coaches
right
out
there
give
them
a
hand.
Please.
B
Now
we
got
a
little
bit
different
schedule
now.
I
know
you
guys
probably
have
the
the
handout,
or
at
least
the
the
flyer
here
in
your
in
your
in
your
presence.
If
you
don't
I'm
letting
you
know
that,
obviously
we
in
the
in
the
past
what
we've
been
able
to
do.
This
is
coach
saban
calling
right
now.
Can
I
answer
the
phone
hello.
B
Yes,
20
20
minutes
is
good.
I'm
talking
to
coach
saber.
Now
all
right.
I've
already
started
the
programming
headless
and
now
I'm
waiting
on
you
guys
whenever
you
get
here
so
you're
leaving
atlanta
now
right.
B
Yeah,
thank
you
so
much
roll
tide.
You
never
thought
you
hear
me
say
that
dude.
But
you
know
what
it's
funny.
You
know
it's
funny,
I'm
a
dog,
I'm
a
dog.
You
know
him,
those
of
you
who
don't
know
I'm
a
bulldog,
but
it's
all
about
the
sec,
all
right
when
we
fall
and
we
still
have
a
sec
partner
playing
I'm
rooting
for
them.
I
don't
care
auburn
alabama,
whoever
sec,
just
like
carver
representing
the
city
tomorrow,
yeah
yeah.
B
But
I'm
not
going
to
prolong
you
because
we
got
a
lot
going
on.
I
want
to
just
let
you
know
that
of
course,
coach
saban
will
be
speaking
after
we
eat,
so
don't
think
that
he's
going
to
walk
in
so
after
we
eat
he's
going
to
be
coming
in
and
then
we'll
introduce
him
because
he's
recruiting
he's
coming
from
atlanta
now
he's
about
to
get
on
a
plane
and
when
he
leaves
here
he's
going
to
fort
lauderdale
and
he
has
to
get
back
to
atlanta
for
the
coach
of
the
year
ceremony
in
atlanta.
B
But
anyway
I
want
to
let
you
know
that
he
is
going
to
spend
a
little
time
afterwards
with
the
media
and
we're
going
to
do
all
that
right
here.
Sponsors,
if
you
are
sponsoring
an
award,
please
join
us
on
the
stage
for
a
photo
op
when
we
announce
it
and
of
course
I
got
on
our
personality,
guys
from
all
around
the
city,
wtvm
wrbl,
those
guys
are
going
to
come
up
and
carlos
williams
from
davis
broadcasting
they're
going
to
come
up
and
we're
going
to
go.
B
Do
this
we're
going
to
take
a
picture
boom,
go
off
the
stage,
but
we're
trying
to
get
this
thing
real
got
to
have
it
popping.
So
when
sabine
gets
here,
we
ready
we're
ready
for
him
all
right
without
further
ado,
I
said
to
you,
I
felt
alone,
but
this
is
dedicated
to
dale
williams
and
his
family.
With
that
said,
I'd
like
for
amber
and
dj
to
come
up,
dale's
kids
to
greet
you
guys,
give
them
a
warm
welcome.
F
F
F
While
he
was
home,
he
passed
out
due
to
lack
of
oxygen
and
was
rushed
by
ambulance
to
the
emergency
room.
While
he
was
in
the
er,
they
were
told.
They
told
us
that
he
had
pneumonia
in
both
lungs,
so
he
was
placed
on
oxygen
in
addition
to
having
covid
while
on
oxygen,
he
was
then
placed
on
a
ventilator
while
on
the
ventilator
three
days
later,
he
had
a
stroke
to
the
brain.
F
My
dad
is
a
fighter
he
he
survived
a
stroke
being
on
a
ventilator
and
covid
and
we
are
just
so
blessed,
but
the
status
as
of
now
he
was
released
to
us.
Well,
due
to
the
strict
covet
protocols,
my
mother,
my
brother,
our
family
members
and
friends,
we
could
not
see
my
dad
from
december
21
2020
through
february
18
2021.
F
So
we
could
not
see
him
touch
him.
We
could
only
go
off
what
nurses
and
doctors
are
telling
us
on
the
phone.
Finally,
he
was
released
home
to
us
on
multiple
medications
on
he's
bedridden.
He
the
stroke,
left
him
unable
to
walk
and
do
for
himself
on
his
left
side.
He
can
move,
but
he
cannot
walk
and
do
for
himself
when
he
was
released
to
us.
He
did
have
a
feeding,
tube
and
catheter
and
all
other
information
that
medically
we
are
not
all
knowledgeable
of.
However,
he
is
now
eating
solid
food.
He
is
not.
F
He
is
not
using
a
feeding
tube
right
now
earlier
this
year
during
one
of
his
er
visits
to
the
emergency
room.
They
did
a
ct
scan.
He
wasn't
looking
good,
so
we
called
9-1-1.
He
went
to
the
ambulance
and
went
to
the
er
while
doing
a
ct
scan
looking
for
other
stuff.
They
found
a
mass
on
one
of
his
kidneys.
F
Very
recently
he
had
one
of
his
kidneys
removed.
It
is
not
cancerous
praise
god.
Additionally,
he
is
not
on
dialysis
or
anything,
so
that's
another
blessing
in
the
meantime,
he
is
currently
in
a
facility
to
get
care
that
we
can't
provide
to
him
at
home.
My
mom
is
right
sitting
right
over
there.
She
has
been
a
blessing.
F
F
F
F
In
between
time,
I
want
to
thank
thrift
for
continuing
on
taking
my
dad's
spot
on
the
radio
show
you
are
so
appreciated
and
for
you
all
to
continue
to
include
him
on
the
show.
Sometimes
he
listens.
Sometimes
he
doesn't.
It
depends
on
what
kind
of
day
he's
having,
but
he
said
he
misses
going
to
the
georgia
games.
So
we
appreciate
you
all
so
much
and
I'll
stop
talking
and
let
my
brother
talk.
G
G
I
just
wanted
to
thank
the
sponsors
for
coming
out
every
year
you
all
have
been
a
blessing
to
my
family
and
dj
and
everybody
my
dad's
vision
when
he
was
a
little
boy
him
and
dj
was
to
talk
sports
and
one
day
make
something
happen
out
of
it.
They
were
pretty
talented
when
they
were
younger
and
they
wanted
to
find
a
way
to
give
back
to
the
community
and
through
this
they're
able
to
do
that.
G
If
y'all
know
my
dad
my
dad
loves
to
eat,
that's
one
thing
he
loves
to
do
so.
That's
why
we're
able
to
have
great
food
here,
and
one
thing
I
wanted
to
say
to
the
players
and
coaches-
make
sure
that
you
work
hard
when
you
work
hard,
everything
will
pay
off.
I
will
also
say
nick
saban
will
probably
say
everything
he
needs
to
say.
One
thing
the
media
does
with
nick
saban.
G
Is
they
try
to
find
a
way
to
get
into
his
team's
head,
but
he
he
does
what
he
does
and
I'm
a
dog
fan
I
hated
to
see
them
lose,
but
hopefully
we'll
get
to
play
them
again
at
the
in
the
national
championship
knock
on
wood.
But
I
then
again
I
wanted
to
thank
all
the
sponsors,
I'm
speaking
on
behalf
we're
speaking
on
behalf
of
my
father,
since
he
couldn't
be
here
today
and
with
that
being
said,
we
do
have
a
video
to
show
you
all
and.
G
All
right-
and
those
were
some
words
for
my
dad.
We
do
have
a
qr
code
to
the
gofundme
if
you
would
like
to
donate
or
if
you
would
like
to
write
a
personal
check
or
anything,
you
can
write
it
to
my
sister,
amber
williams
or
myself.
Dale
williams,
jr
and
I'm
gonna
hand
it
off
back
to
dj.
B
Great
job
guys
great
job,
great
job,
great
job,
all
right.
Let's
get
this
show
on
the
road
I
bring
to
the
stage.
Help
me
put
together,
help
put
your
hands
together
for
a
guy
who
actually
has
been
standing
in
the
gap
for
dale
he's
he's
on
the
radio.
With
me,
every
monday
and
thursday
from
46
o'clock,
wltc
92.1
put
your
hands
together
for
thrift.
Behringer
he's
going
to
introduce
the
players
and
coaches
from
the
middle
schools.
I
I
just
want
to
say
if
it
wasn't
for
dj
and
dale,
I'm
trying
to
hold
myself
together
after
amber
saying
that
if
it
wasn't
for
dj
and
dale,
I
wouldn't
be
able
to
live
my
dream
today.
I
actually
got
to
go
to
the
alabama
georgia
game
because
of
dj,
believing
in
me
and
I'm
sitting
there
and
it's
surreal-
and
I
know
it's
a
little
bit
hard
for
him
because
he
don't
have
his
partner
in
crime.
He
don't
have
his
best
friend,
but
he
don't
show
that
to
me.
I
All
he
does
is
show
love,
he's
my
mentor
and
he
has
been
the
most
blessed
thing.
I've
had
in
my
life
for
a
long
long
time.
So
I
appreciate
you
dj.
I
appreciate
you
amber
and
dale
and
miss
tammy.
She
came
up
and
gave
me
a
hug
first
time
I
ever
met
her
and
man.
I
needed
that
hug.
So
thank
you
so
much
so
when
dj
told
me
he
was
going
to
involve
the
middle
school.
That
was
a
big
deal
to
me.
My
granddad
larry
bush
is
a
legend
around
here.
I
He
coached
here
for
over
30
years,
and
I
knew
that
we
need
to
involve
middle
school
coaches
because
they
have
integral
part
into
the
young
lives
of
these
young
men
that
go
into
the
high
school
level.
So
I'm
glad
he
was
able
to
do
this,
and
so,
when
I
call
your
name,
I'm
going
to
call
the
school,
then
the
coach
and
then
the
mvp
stand
up
we'll
give
a
round
of
applause
and
we'll
go
into
the
next
one.
I
B
J
For
the
sake
of
time,
we're
going
to
call
all
of
for
sake
of
time
we're
going
to
call
all
of
the
coaches
and
players
ask
them
to
remain
standing
and
then
we'll
have
one
consolidated.
Applause
at
the
end
is
that
okay,
great?
J
J
B
All
right
got
some
special
presentations
to
make
on
behalf
of
dale,
and
I
first
one
being
the
sports
vegas
community
service
award.
Now
this
young
lady,
she
is
very,
very
special.
She
has
been
so
good
to
me
of
course,
last
year
during
the
pandemic,
we
could
not
do
this
award
show,
but
we
were
able
to
do
a
virtual
television
show
on
ctv
beam
and
everything
that
I
asked
for
from
introducing
us
to
being
a
part
of
our
program.
Several
years
back,
she's
been
there
for
us.
Please
put
your
hands
together
for
sports
videos.
B
And
while
we're
doing
that,
we
have
another
community
service
award,
this
lady
has
been
representing
aflac
in
a
tremendous
way
and
making
sure
that
we
he
got
things
done
and
got
all
the
necessary
things
that
we
needed
to
honor.
These
kids
and
coaches
put
your
hands
together
for
sports
visas,
community
service
award
winner,
michelle
mcmullen.
B
B
Let's
go
ahead
and
introduce
one
of
the
on-air
personalities
that
had
the
pleasure
of
broadcasting
the
games
of
many
of
these
athletes
that
you're
going
to
be
seeing
and
hearing
here
today
he's
a
long-time
veteran,
I
think,
40
years
or
more
in
the
city
man,
he
is
like
the
dean
dave
platter
was
the
dean.
Now
carlos
williams
is
the
dean.
Please
help
me
welcome
from
wrbl
and
davis
broadcasting,
another
voice
of
high
school
football
in
the
city,
carlos
williams,.
H
I'm
the
oldest,
but
I'm
blessed,
shout
out
to
my
boy
dale
there
we
go,
we
love
you,
we
miss
you
and
you
know
we
can't
wait
till
you
get
back.
H
We
we
all
know
what
you
need
and
we
want
to
make
sure
you
get
it
buddy
all
right,
I'm
here
to
introduce
four
different
categories.
The
first
one
is
the
morehouse
school
of
medicine,
gridiron
award.
It
goes
to
gary
gaither
of
spencer,
high
school
gary.
H
Spencer,
very
competitive
football
team
this
year
and
shout
out
congratulations
to
all
the
coaches
out
there
for
your
hard
work.
H
H
Right
coach,
we
will
make
sure
cameron
gets
his
award
coach,
joyner
and
the
players
putting
in
some
extra
time
and
whatever
time
they
got
available.
They're
probably
gonna,
be
watching
film
and
doing
other
things
so
we'll
make
sure
cameron
gets
his
award
the
next
next
one
is
the
houston
clinic
trainer
of
the
year
award
goes
to
kerry
reeves
of
smith
station
high
school
carrie.
Are
you
here.
H
So
shout
out
and
congratulations
to
you
carey
right
another
hand
for
kerry
reeves
miss
station
high
school
next
up
is
the
dr
jamie
winchester
middle
school
player
of
the
year
award
goes
to
kobe
castle
from
fort
middle
school.
Kobe.
H
All
right,
congratulations
once
again,
I
get
to
introduce
the
next
voice.
You
hear
will
be
jonathan
hoppy
from
wtvm
come
on
up
jonathan.
K
Thank
you,
carlos
I'd,
like
to
thank
dj
jones
and
sports
visions
for
inviting
us
and
having
this
great
event,
once
again
and
I'd
like
to
thank
all
of
you
my
first
year
here
it
was
great
and
looking
forward
to
another
strong
year
next
year,
so
middle
school
football.
We
wish
we
had
more
time
to
get
out
to
some
of
those
games,
but
there's
a
lot
of
chatter
about
middle
school
football
in
the
offices,
and
that
assures
me
that
we're
in
good
hands
down
the
road-
and
that
is
our
first
award.
K
B
K
M
K
N
It's
a
pleasure
to
be
here
as
always
thank
our
good
friends
at
sports
visions,
dj
jones,
dale
williams
and
thrift
behringer
as
well,
for
having
us
as
well
as
on
our
on
the
radio
show
every
week,
and
we
are
getting
going.
The
four
awards
that
I
will
be
presenting.
We
start
with
the
aflac
student
athlete
of
the
year,
as
we
all
know
that
student
academics
come
first
and
with
that
we
will
present
this
award
to
johnny
davis
from
saint
anne
pacelli.
N
N
N
N
N
M
We
had
to
practice
that,
like
three
or
four
times
make
sure
we
got
it
right
guys.
Thank
you
so
much
it's
a
huge
honor,
always
to
be
part
of
this
ceremony,
thanks
again
to
sports
visions,
to
thrift
and
dj
this
event,
we
look
forward
to
every
single
year
to
start
off
what
the
awards
I'll
be
presenting
we'll
start
off
with
the
isaiah
crowell
offensive
player
of
the
year.
This
man
is
a
highlight
waiting
to
happen.
Jaden
credle
running
back
from
carver.
M
Mr
and
mrs
as
eric
crowell
will
be
here
to
accept
the
award
of
course,
jayden
and
all
the
carver
tigers,
getting
ready
for
that
big
game
on
friday.
M
M
O
O
When
we
talk
about
impact,
we
want
to
know
what
significance
our
dash
is
going
to
have
and
the
award
that
we're
presenting
today
is
for
a
man
of
tremendous
impact.
He
was
a
big
man,
a
big
lover
of
life,
love
and
a
tremendous
legacy.
He
loved
family.
His
beautiful
bride
is
here
on
the
stage
with
us.
Ever
since
the
inception
of
sports
visions.
O
He
is
here
with
us
and
in
fact
this
montage
of
pictures
here
shows
their
tremendous
family,
the
beautiful
blessing
of
david
junior
and
daily
grace
when
they
thought
that
they
could
not
have
children.
The
good
lord
blessed
them
in
a
mighty
way,
and
today,
part
of
that
lasting
legacy
are
those
beautiful
children
and
the
beautiful
legacy
of
love
and
all
that
his
wife,
pam
and
the
tremendous
peaceful
river
team
that's
down
front
continues
to
do
on
his
behalf.
O
B
O
All
right
now,
columbus,
high
school
bring
the
blue
devil
on
down.
Here
I
have
three
babies
that
are
graduates
of
columbus
high
school,
come
on
down
and
get
your
award,
so
this
shows
that
you've
got
courage.
You
get
things
done
on
the
field
and
off
the
field,
and
that's
what
david
did
a
man
of
impact?
O
O
M
Congratulations
again
to
robert
edwards,
so
we'll
wrap
things
up
with
our
final
award.
The
mercedes-benz
coach
of
the
year
head
coach
for
the
central
red
devils,
patrick
nix,.
B
M
M
B
Ladies
and
gentlemen,
put
your
hands
together
again
for
our
on-air
sports
personalities
who
helped
us.
Of
course,
they
poured
into
these
kids
lives
and
that's
why
I
wanted
them
to
be
a
part
of
this,
we're
inclusive
and
again
it's
not
about
us.
It's
about
these
kids.
Put
them
put
your
hands
together
for
them.
One
more
time.
B
P
P
There
was
a
place
called
a
westland
sizzler
if
y'all
remembered,
if
some
of
you
were
alive.
That's
where
we
had
my
banquet
for
the
golden
helmet
and
the
honorable
kelvin
smyre
sponsored
and
spoke
that
was
life
change.
For
me,
the
fact
that
the
time
was
taken
to
recognize
what
we've
done
on
the
football
field
and
that
he
came
and
he
spoke,
and
he
was
such
an
important
person
and
there's
a
lot
of
important
people
in
this
room,
but
I
can
tell
you
there
are
days
like
this,
where
they
change
a
man
and
a
woman's
life.
P
So
I
want
to
thank
you
all
for
being
here.
Second
thing
I
want
to
say
is
about
my
good
friend
dj.
We
actually
played
together
and
we
lived
down
the
street
from
each
other.
You
see
where
size
difference,
but
we
used
to
wear
each
other's
clothes
a
long
time
ago.
That
was
also
back
in
the
1970s,
but
one
thing
that
football
does
is
it
creates
lifelong
relationships
and
you
think
about
dj.
You
think
about
dale.
You
think
about
all
the
folks
that
you
know
from
your
your
career.
P
We
thank
you
for
this
opportunity
to
gather
in
this
room
together
to
celebrate
the
achievement
of
the
coaches
and
the
players
and
just
to
come
here
together
to
fellowship
what
a
gift
you've
given
us
all
different
talents,
different
abilities
at
different
levels
and
you've.
Also
given
us
each
other.
We
thank
you
for
these
relationships.
P
Lord
I'd
be
remiss
if
I
didn't
take
just
a
second
to
pray
for
our
dear
brother,
dale
williams,
because
we
know
that
you
can
supernaturally
intervene
in
his
situation
and
heal
him.
P
Let
it
nourish
us
and
lord.
We
pray
for
even
coach
saban
as
he
makes
his
way
to
columbus
to
be
with
us
to
inspire
us
in
christ's
name.
We
pray,
amen,
amen.
B
B
We'll
go
by
roll,
so
this
entire
front
row
we're
gonna,
go
up
that
back
door
right
there,
that
side
door
and
come
down
go
through
the
buffet
lines
and
when
this
finishes
then
we'll
keep
rolling
over
until
we
get
to
the
end,
all
right
and
in
the
meantime,
you're
gonna
be
entertained
by
a
great
recording
artist
and
his
wife
put
your
hands
together
for
chris
and
mandy
kelly.
Please
help
me
welcome
stand
to
your
feet.
Coach,
nick
saban.
L
Thank
you
very
much
appreciate
it.
Thank
you
so
much.
I
guess
it
wouldn't
be
fitting
to
come
to
columbus
georgia.
If
I
didn't
share
this
story,
I
have
a
little
three-year-old
niece
who
goes
to
preschool
and
they
were
in
preschool
and
they
were
asking.
What
do
the
animals
say?
L
I
know
there's
players
and
coaches
alike
that
are
being
honored
and
recognized
here
for
their
achievements,
and
you
know
the
great
thing
about
football.
Is
you
know
any
achievement
that
you're
recognized
for
is
dependent
on
other
people
doing
what
they're
supposed
to
do
so
that
you
can
have
success?
I
think
that's
what
makes
it
a
great
team
game.
L
L
But
we
also
want
to
make
them
aware
that
their
team
created
the
responsibility.
For
that.
You
know
coaching
is
to
me
one
of
the
great
professions
in
our
society
in
this
day
and
age,
and
I
know
there
are
a
lot
of
coaches
here
today
and
I
want
to
let
you
know
that
we
appreciate
you
more
than
you
know
I,
for
what
you
do
in
helping
young
people
have
a
chance
to
be
more
successful
in
life.
L
You
know
all
these
things
are
things
that
can
have
a
huge
impact
on
your
life
in
the
future
and
because
there
is
always
an
accounting
for
what
you
did,
how
you
prepared
how
you
practiced,
how
you
got
ready
to
play,
there's
always
an
accounting
for
that
sometimes
in
society.
You
know
we
don't
have
the
opportunity
to
do
that
like
we
do
in
sports
and
I
think
any
sport,
any
coach
has
the
opportunity
to
promote
all
these
principles
and
values.
You
know
in
their
organization,
so
to
help
people
have
a
chance
to
be
successful.
L
You
know
when
I
grew
up.
My
dad
said
cut
the
grass.
Then,
when
I
came
home
for
dinner
that
night,
he
pounded
the
table
and
said:
did
you
cut
the
grass?
Did
you
sweep
the
wok?
Did
you
trim?
Did
you
put
the
mower
away?
Did
you
clean
the
mower
and
if
none
any
of
those
things
weren't
done
correctly,
I
had
to
do
it
over
again.
L
So
that's
something
that
sports
offers
us
now.
You
know
people
set
goals
and
have
aspirations
for
what
they
want
to
accomplish
and
what
they
want
to
do,
and
they
also
have
to
understand
what
do
I
have
to
do
to
accomplish
these
goals?
That's
something
that
I
call
the
process.
It's
it's
simply
a
definition
of
what
do
I
have
to
do
to
accomplish
a
goal
and
then
there's
another
component
of
that
which
I
l
learned
from
kobe
bryant
when
he
came
and
spoke
to
our
team
a
couple
years
ago.
L
How
do
you
have
to
edit
your
behavior
to
do
it?
You
know
one
of
the
players
asked
him.
How
did
you
score
60
points
in
the
82nd
game
of
the
season
when
you
were
40
years
old,
coming
off
an
achilles
tendon
surgery,
and
he
said
I
worked
eight
hours
a
day
for
365
straight
days
to
play
that
season.
L
They
don't
put
that
part
on
espn.
So
how
do
you
have
to
edit
your
behavior?
That's,
obviously
something
that
he
had
to
do
differently
to
be
able
to
play
that
season,
and
then
the
last
part
of
that
is.
You
have
to
have
the
discipline
to
execute
it
every
day.
You
know
what
you
want
to
accomplish.
You
know
what
you
have
to
do
to
do
it.
L
Do
you
have
the
discipline
to
execute
it
every
day,
and
I
think
this
is
the
thing
that,
as
human
beings,
we
all
struggle
with
the
most
high,
because
I'm
sure
you've
all
seen
some
sign
up
in
a
locker
room
somewhere.
That
says
discipline
is
due
what
you're
supposed
to
do
when
you're
supposed
to
do
it?
The
way
it's
supposed
to
get
done.
Do
the
right
thing
the
right
way,
the
right
time
all
the
time,
but
I'm
talking
about
self-discipline.
L
You
know
we
make
hundreds
of
decisions
every
day
that
come
down
to
two
questions,
here's
something
I
know
I'm
supposed
to
do
that.
I
really
don't
want
to
do.
Can
you
make
yourself
do
it
and
on
the
other
side
of
that,
here's
something
I
know
I'm
not
supposed
to
do,
but
I
want
to
do
it.
Can
you
keep
yourself
from
it?
L
You
don't
do
what
you
feel
like
doing.
Are
you
going
to
choose
to
do
the
things
you
need
to
do
to
be
successful
example.
I
have
I
make
all
of
our
players
on
our
team.
Tell
me
what
are
your
goals
and
aspirations?
What
do
you
want
to
do
so?
A
simple
answer
to
that
would
be.
I
want
to
graduate
and
I
want
to
play
in
the
nfl
someday
all
right,
so
you
come
in
my
office.
You
miss
two
classes
today
and
you
tell
me
you
don't
want
to
practice.
L
L
Both
of
my
children
went
to
alabama
and
graduated,
but
how
many
times
I
heard
I
don't
feel
like
studying.
I
don't
feel
like
getting
up
today
and
going
to
class,
and
I
would
say
I
don't
care
what
you
feel
like.
Do
you
want
to
graduate
oh
yeah,
dad
I
want
to
graduate
well,
then
you
need
to
choose
to
study.
You
need
to
choose
to
go
to
class.
L
You
need
to
choose
to
do
the
things
that
you
need
to
do
to
accomplish
the
goals
that
you
have,
and
this
sounds
really
simple,
all
right,
but
sometimes
not
so
easy
to
execute,
but
because
players,
love
sports
people,
love
sports.
It
gives
us
an
opportunity,
as
coaches,
to
be
able
to
use
what
they
love
to
get
them
to
do
the
things
and
choose
to
do
the
things
they
need
to
do
to
have
success
in
their
life.
You
know
leadership.
L
L
Afraid
you
know,
if
you
all
had
to
get
up
here
and
speak
anybody.
What's
your
greatest
fear
if
you
have
to
get
up
and
speak
in
front
of
a
thousand
people,
what
everybody's
gonna
think
of
me,
that
would
be
the
first
fear
that
would
create
anxiety.
That
would
make
it
difficult
for
you
to
get
up
here
and
do
this.
L
But
yet
what
you
tell
them
is
really
in
their
best
interest.
You
know,
that's
part
of
being
a
leader
is
taking
the
responsibility
to
do
that.
Let's
say
we
had
a
player
who
was
going
to
get
in
a
car
and
drive
126
miles
an
hour
and
had
been
drinking
and
you
were
there
and
you
could
say:
you're
not
driving,
you've
been
drinking,
he
might
want
to
fight
you.
You
should
fight
him,
take
his
keys,
don't
let
him
do
that,
how
much
better
off
would
he
be
if
he
didn't
have
an
accident?
L
L
Somebody
else
has
to
bless
you,
but
you
can
be
a
blessing
to
everybody
that
you
come
in
contact
with
every
day
in
terms
of
how
you
help
them,
what
you
do
to
help
them
and
serve
them,
but
you
have
to
be
willing
to
take
the
responsibility
for
that,
because
sometimes
you
have
to
tell
them
what
they
don't
want
to
hear.
You
know
the
truth
is
a
funny
thing.
You
know
some
people
never
want
to
believe
the
truth.
L
L
It
just
makes
me
mad
that
these
people,
you
know,
treat
me
the
way
they
do,
because
that's
not
really
who
I
am
and
she
said,
do
you
ever
look
at
yourself
in
an
interview
when
you're
getting
interviewed,
you
look
nervous,
you
look
anxious,
you're,
uncomfortable,
you
don't
treat
the
people
very
well,
you
don't
treat
them
with
much
respect.
You
don't
have
much
compassion
for
what
they're
trying
to
do
and
their
job.
L
So
it
made
me
mad
when
she
said
that,
but
the
truth
was
she
was
right
and
I
changed
because
of
that
and
probably
wouldn't
have
been
as
successful
through
the
years,
because
it
doesn't
create
a
very
good
image,
not
a
very
positive
image.
When
you
don't
treat
people
the
way
you
need
to
treat
them,
so
we
can
teach
leadership
in
coaching.
We
can
teach
accountability,
be
responsible
for
your
own
self-determination.
L
There's
so
many
things
that
in
sports
that
are
important.
I
that
I
have
a
job
to
do.
I
have
to
focus,
prepare,
create
the
right
habits
to
do
it,
and
you
know
you
don't
just
do
it
practice
until
you
get
it
right.
You
practice
until
you
can't
get
it
wrong
all
right,
so
you
develop
the
right
habits.
So
when
you
go
in
the
game,
you
can
do
it
the
way
you're
supposed
to
do
it
all
right,
but
that's
really
accountability
and
there's
nobody
here.
L
That
has
a
job
that
doesn't
have
to
be
accountable
to
something
or
someone
so
to
learn
that
and
to
be
able
to
do
it
in
sports.
Is
you
know
a
great
lesson
in
life
I
that
can
help
these
young
men
be
successful
in
their
life?
You
know
pride
in
performance,
you
know,
I
tell
players
all
the
time
and
I
know
I'm
sure,
there's
somebody
here.
That
knows
someone
who
is
either
a
really
good
student
who
underachieves
or
a
really
great
athlete
who
under
achieves
talent
is
not
talent.
Unless
you
can
use
it.
L
You
really
can't
do
anything
with
talent
unless
there's
character
in
the
person
right
to
have
goals
and
aspirations
and
pride
and
performance
and
resiliency
resiliency
to
overcome
adversity.
Right
because,
if
you're
going
to
be
successful,
you
have
to
earn
it
right.
There's
no
entitlement,
you
know
in
the
world
all
right,
like
some
people
might
think
you
have
to
earn
what
you
get
and
you
have
to
focus
on
the
process,
not
the
outcome,
I,
but
what
do
I
have
to
do
to
get
the
outcome?
L
L
Why
you're
supposed
to
do
it?
Why
it's
important
to
do
it
that
way
and
do
it
that
way
all
the
time,
because
we
all
should
have
a
responsibility
to
be
the
best
that
we
can
be.
You
know-
and
I
don't
understand
this-
I
really
don't
understand
this.
Just
like
the
reason
that
we
played
so
well
in
the
last
game
was
we
were
underdogs.
L
But
my
point
is
this:
if
you
really
want
to
be
the
best
player
you
can
be,
you
really
want
to
create
the
most
value
for
yourself
personally
academically
and
athletically.
Why
do
you
have
to
feel
like
you're
disrespected
from
some
external
factor?
I,
whether
it's
a
media,
whoever
it
is,
I
to
get
you
motivated
to
go
play
as
good
as
you
can
play?
L
L
Why
can't
we
just
go
be
the
best
that
we
want
to
be
it's
not
really
human
nature.
Human
nature
is
to
survive
to
do
what
you
have
to
do
to
get
by
so
to
be.
The
best
you
can
be
is
really
special.
It's
a
special
quality
to
win
a
championship.
It's
a
special
quality
to
want
to
be
the
best
that
you
can
be
all
right,
but
it's
also
a
quality.
L
That's
always
been
around
all
right
and
everybody
should
acknowledge
it,
and
I'm
going
to
close,
I
with
a
martin
luther
king
sermon,
I
that
I
always
talk
about,
because
I
always
make
the
players
listen
to
this
in
the
beginning
of
the
season,
and
he
says:
there's
only
one
guy
in
a
green
stamp
store
in
montgomery
alabama
that
I'll.
Let
shine
my
shoes
because
of
the
pride
that
he
has
in
shining
your
shoes
wants
to
be
the
best
and
gets
a
big
old
smile
on
his
face.
L
L
