Description
A
B
That
time
of
year,
again
get
ready
for
the
tri-city
Latino
festival.
This
will
be
the
festival
sixth
year
and
it's
going
to
be
even
bigger
and
better
than
ever.
Saturday
September
15th
at
the
Civic
Center
starting
at
noon.
There
will
be
an
international
variety
of
culture
exhibits
food
music.
This
will
be
as
always,
a
family-friendly
fellowshipping
opportunity
for
the
entire
community
bring
a
lawn
chair.
Let
the
kids
play
the
kids
out
and
plan
to
stay
and
enjoy
the
tri-city
Latino
festival,
September
15th
at
Civic,
Center.
A
Of
Columbus
and
one
of
my
favorite
things
about
living
here
is
Columbus
diversity.
The
fact
that
in
this
little
small
town,
you
can
still
meet
people
from
all
over
the
world.
You
name
it
people
from
there
and
a
big
part
of
that
is
our
Latino
community,
which
is
why
this
time
of
year
is
so
great.
The
Latino
festival
is
the
sixth
annual.
Now
Latino
festival
is
on
the
way
we've
got
people
here
to
talk
about
it.
Welcome
to
the
show,
Tito
and
Natalie.
Thank
you.
C
C
You'll
have
educational
booths,
you'll
have
performance
dances
as
well
as
music,
and
then
you'll
have
the
food.
Of
course.
That's
what
everyone
gets
very
excited
about,
we'll
have
all
four
vendors
about
17
of
them,
they'll
be
serving
freshly
made
empanadas
fruit
from
Mexico
Peru,
the
end,
the
Caribbean,
as
well
as
from
Central
and
other
southern
Department
American
countries.
Now.
A
I
love
that
it's
those
two
perspectives
of
someone
who's
from
here
or
someone
who
wrote
something
new
but
you're
all
above
working
for
this.
This
great
thing
that
was
only
been
going
on
six
years,
but
it's
really
picked
up
steam.
It's
really
something
that
not
just
the
Latin
community,
but
the
whole
community
looks
for
it.
That's.
D
A
D
What
we
bring
to
the
table
that
camaraderie
of
everybody
getting
together
in
one
place
and
having
it's
such
a
good
time,
such
a
fun
day
and
I,
mean
it's
it's
invited
for
it,
everyone
from
the
smallest
one.
We
got
kids
own,
it's
always
warm.
We
got
concerts
and
you
know
for
the
students
we
got
educational
portion
event
that
they
can
take
back
to
the
school.
So
a
it's
a
great
thing.
So.
A
D
A
D
Like
you
know,
most
of
it's
just
about
family,
everybody
goes
say,
hello,
everybody
go
say:
hey.
Have
you
tried
that
food
here?
Have
you
tried
this
yet?
Have
you
done
this
I
mean
it's
just
something
that
you
got
to
be
there
to
feel
it
because
you're
not
only
not
only
seen
it,
you
will
feel
it.
But
if
you
present,
you
don't
feel
how
loving
and
how
secure
you
know,
people
feel
and
they
they
just
get
along,
no
matter
what
colors
I'm
going
to
weigh
you
from.
A
Hit
family
we're
really
all
of
us
are
more
alike
than
we're
on
our
life
and
it's
that's
what
I
got
from
it
when
I
went
there
they're
celebrating
our
similarities
in
our
difference
celebrating
the
similarities
that
were
all
his
family
weren't
just
have
fun
dance
eat
some
good
food,
but
then
saying
then
still
being
able
to
see
the
different
countries
and
the
different
cultures.
It
was
real,
very,
very
I'm,
so
glad
that
Columbus
has
that
that
to
go
to
now
tell
me
you
are
all
involved
with
I
know
this
being
the
sixth
annual
Latino
festival.
D
A
C
Thank
you.
It's
been
a
very
interesting
year.
It's
been
very
exciting.
I
was
very
blessed
and
meeting
Mimi
Woodson
yeah.
A
C
She,
as
many
people
that
know
her,
will
just
love
you
and
throw
you
into
something
and
she'll
be
with
you,
and
even
though
she
was
supposed
to
be
here
with
me
today,
but
could
it
make
it?
You
know
you
know
yeah.
She
has
belief
in
you
and
she
empowers
you
and
I
appreciate
that
about
her.
So
she
brought
me
on
and
put
me
in
this
position
to
help
where
raise
funds,
as
well
as
awareness
for
this
organization.
So,
although.
A
C
Management
of
nonprofit
organizations
and
in
Athens
I
got
very
involved
with
a
lot
of
the
Latino
community,
outreach
programs.
They
have
there
and
that's
where
I
really
found
a
community.
You
know
wanting
to
learn
more
as
well
as
ready.
You
know
to
listen
and
open
up
to
this
culture,
so
we
did
a
lot
of
events
with
youth.
We
did
a
lot
of
educational
outreach
programs.
We
understood
a
lot
of
awareness
to
you
know
the
situations
that
are
going
on
in
the
environment
that
we
have
now
and
I
also
did
it
in
Atlanta
for
some
time.
C
So
when
I
came
down
here,
I
mean
if
city
to
city
I
mean
the
issues
as
well
as
the
culture
and
the
passion
behind
this
type
of
thing.
It's
all
there.
So
finding
the
people
like
Tito
and
me
me
and
all
of
our
other
board
members
and
supporters
that
get
behind
this,
like
I,
consider
myself
very
lucky
to
be
a
part
of
it
in
this
town,
yeah.
A
D
I
mean
winners
yeah,
so
this
year
we
have
the
player
to
have
a
totally
coach,
a
he's,
a
well-known
salsa
singer.
Also
we
have
Paquito
Guzman.
These
guys
are
pequeños
were
like
how
can
I
say
legend
of
the
Southside
nine.
You
know
in
our
culture
yeah
he's
coming
down.
Also
we
got
talks
he's
an
artist
coming
up.
He
reggaeton
we
have.
We
have
the
support
of
the
Fort
Benning
brass
band.
That's
coming
down
to
give
us
some
Latin
jazz.
We
got
gospel
music,
we
have
DJ
without
video
DJ,
we'll
have
video
DJ.
D
A
A
D
A
B
A
D
That
education
portion
is
whether
Wednesday
from
Fort
Benning
they
provide
to
us
since
they
got
all
these
students
all
these
soldiers
from
outside
run.
That
comes
to
study
here
and
they
provide
us
with.
You
know,
with
boots
and
the
knowledge
and
the
culture
and
the
students
that's
here
and
from
a
different
high
schools
and
colleges
are
able
to
go
and
do
a
one-to-one
questionnaire
or
whatever
they
want
to
push
this
about
any
any
other
countries.
They
get
answers
right
from
the
yeah
from
the
experts
that
come
from
that
country.
D
A
Again,
being
from
here,
I
think
people
take
for
granted
that
opportunity
that,
being
in
this
little
small
town
and
we're
not
too
small
but
relatively,
but
you
meet
people
from
all
over
the
world
and
can
make
those
relationships
and
make
that
and
just
really
know
it,
removing
these
stigma
and
remove
any
barriers
and
just
know
that
person
and
know
how
similar
we
really
are.
Yeah.
D
Because
of
the
festival
every
year
that
goes
by-
and
we
have
this
festival-
people
that
come
from
the
outside,
like
from
a
surrounding
state
like
Florida,
Virginia
Texas,
and
they
come
to
the
festival
today
and
moving
back
moving
to
Columbus
because
of
the
what
what
they
saw
during
the
festival
Wow
and
that
they
like
what
I
saw
they
like
what
it
felt
and
it
was
I-
mean
people
coming.
Just
because
of
that
sustained.
C
C
Glad
you
asked,
because
we
have
had
a
lot
of
support
this
year,
our
presenting
sponsor
Aflac,
as
well
as
our
gold
festival,
sponsors,
TSYS
and
WC
Bradley.
We
have
the
support
again
of
wolfs
Fargo
Sun
Chevrolet
is
new
this
year
very
excited
to
have
them.
Candlewood
Suites,
eco,
Latino,
coca-cola
and
Walmart
have
been
very
dedicated
sponsors
to
us
as
well.
We
are
also
we
have
Judy
Thomas
America
Columbus
State
University,
great
supporters,
Ashley
home
store
at
new
sponsor
they've
dedicated
some
items
to
our
raffle.
