A
Welcome
to
columbus
connections.
I
am
your
host
David
Britt,
and
we
are
here
to
tell
you
some
things
about
metro
now.
You
know
with
metric
city
transportation,
but
city
transportation
is
pretty
interesting
because
they
have
some
new
things
going
on
to
make
transportation
a
lot
better
for
our
area.
Now
I
have
with
me
to
director
of
metro
I'm
going
to
keep
it
over
to
her.
She's
gotta
be
a
familiar
face
on
the
show,
because
any
time
they
have
any
kind
of
update
she's
going
to
come.
B
The
book
I'm
Rosa
Evans
I've,
been
with
Metro
for
this
year,
will
be
30
years
and
I
love.
What
I
do
I
started
as
a
bus
operator,
and
so
I've
worked
in
a
number
of
different
positions
at
metra,
and
so
I'm
here
like
to
save
just
this
love
being
serving
the
community,
and
you
know
that's
that's
rewarding-
to
be
able
to
give
to
the
community
now.
B
Carl's
are
doing
I'm,
it's
good.
You
know
it's
different
operations
totally
different,
but
you
know
it's
a
learning
experience
for
me
and
I
like
learning
new
stuff.
So
but
it's
still
serving
it's
just
in
a
different
capacity.
Yes,
but
it's
great
I'm
I
got
a
ways
to
go,
but
you
know
I
just
keep
going.
A
A
B
Going
good,
we,
the
new
route,
started
in
October
of
2016
october.
Twenty
second
was
our
free
day
right
so,
and
we
added
three
new
routes
during
that
time,
and
so
ridership
is
picking
up,
of
course,
a
lot
of
people
when
you
anytime,
you
implement
new
service.
It
takes
about
a
year
before
you
actually
see
the
benefit
and,
if
you're
going
to
make
any
changes
or
just
any
route.
But
as
of
december
the
end
of
december,
we
did
see
a
15-percent
increase,
okay
in
the
route,
so
we're
looking,
you
know
to
see
them
keep
going
up.
A
So
cuz
there's
no
you've
got
a
couple
things
we
want
to
talk
about
now.
First,
with
the
park
arrives,
the
parking
garage
downtown,
which
is
across
the
work
center,
is
actually
free
now
get
to
the
city.
Yes,
that's
no
longer
going
to
be
the
hub
for
the
parking
enforcement,
so
that's
correct,
but
but
that
does
really
matter
a
lot,
because
if
you
do
get
a
parking
ticket,
you
can
pay
your
ticket
online.
Here.
B
You
can
fill
it
in
december,
council
approved
the
represent
of
the
rods
to
be
free
parking,
so
totally
free,
and
we
prior
to
that,
we
did
have
some
tenants,
people
who
leased
the
spaces,
and
so
with
that
being
free.
Now
we
only
have
maybe
one
tenant,
and
so
there's
really
not
a
need
to
have
someone
at
that
location
for.
B
Is
really
do
have
that
one
tenant,
as
I
said,
and
that
when
that
contract
expires
in
the
garage
it
will
be
totally
free,
so
we're
going
to
be
accepting
payments
at
metra
and
all
of
the
other
locations
in
which
we
have
the
columbus
public
safety
building.
You
can
drop
off
a
payment
there
in
a
drop
box
inside
of
the
building
and
it
recorders
court.
B
There's
a
drop
box
on
the
outside
of
the
building
and,
of
course,
the
government
center
finance
department,
but
starting
on
monday,
March
thirteenth
will
be
taking
payments
at
metro
and
that's
at
eight
forty
men
with
Boulevard,
so
I
won't
be
a
need
to
go
through
the
rivercenter
to
pay
a
ticket.
And
of
course
you
know
you
can
go
online
on
our
web
extra
website
and
pay
your
ticket.
But
we're
encouraging
people
to
park
in
the
garage
is
free.
You
know
we're
right.
B
A
A
B
A
B
Fence
there
55
cents
back,
so
anybody
can
hop
the
trolley
and
it's
really
exciting.
You
know
in
a
fan,
you
know
if
you
want,
you
have
tears
most
kids
love
to
get
on
the
trolley,
so
you
have
families
that
if
you
want
to
take
your
your
children
or
your
child
uptown
to
enjoy
the
festivities
and
things
going
on.
This
would
be
a
good
place
to
parking
in
the
garage
here.
So.
A
B
Kids,
love
folly,
you
know
what
I'm
saying
they
will
never
forget
it
and
just
get
on
there
and
pay
and
we're
going
to
be
put
in
some
nice
ads
on
it.
Some
painting
getting
some
wrapping
it
against
it's,
what
we
call
and
to
just
kind
of
get
it
out
there
in
the
community
and
let
people
know
you
we're
here
we're
here
and
it
provides
connectivity
from
the
midtown
area
to
uptown.
Well,
the
terms
of
it
it's
10
a.m.
until
10pm
monday
through
saturday.
That's.
B
A
B
Yes,
we
usually
always
have
positions
vacant.
We
still
hiring.
We've
got
about
four
positions
for
commercial
bus
operator
for
with
the
passenger
endorsement,
and
so
we're
interviewing
for
those
positions
now
great
opportunities,
great
benefits
with
the
city.
So
you
know,
if
you
are
interested,
you
can
give
us
a
call
at
metro,
because
there
are
other
ways
that
people
can
obtain
a
commercial
license
if
they
don't
already
have
it
judges,
we
have.
B
B
B
What
else
we
have
our
route
pin,
which
is
our
airport
thruway
veterans,
parkway
route?
It's
one
of
the
new
routes
that
we
implemented
in
October.
We
are,
as
a
april
on
april,
first
we're
going
to
start
we're
going
to
divert
that
route,
make
a
minor
adjustment
and
take
it
so
that
it
will
service
there
directly
in
front
of
the
Social
Security
offices.
Okay,.
A
B
Always
provided
service
within
like
three
two
and
a
half
three
blocks
of
the
social
security
office
when
they
relocate
it
out
off
of
double
church's
road,
I
think
it
may
be
2007,
so
we've
always
provided
service,
but
you
know
we
have
a
growing
number
of
seniors
and
we
have
persons
with
disabilities
and
you
know
just
in
general
people
in
general,
when
it's
raining,
we
see
the
need.
Now
we
go
all
the
way
in
and
that
the
customers
are
there
directly
in
front.
B
A
A
B
A
B
And
that's
what,
though,
that's
what
it's
all
about?
Brett
you
know
people
need
public
transit
and
in
order
for
them
to
have
a
better
quality
of
life
right
to
get
to
work
wherever
they
need
to
go,
they
need
access,
and
so
you
know
having
buses
run
later
at
night,
which
was
the
goal
of
the
mayor.
She
said
we
want
to
get
people
to
third
shift
work
right.
A
B
A
Right
measure
is
helping
the
citizens
of
Columbus
live
life
more
abundantly
you'll,
be
seeing
a
lot
more
of
miss
everything
anytime.
They
have
any
updates,
you'll
see
here
so
keep
tuned
and
again
they
are
supporting
the
community.
Let's
make
sure
we
support
now
thanks
for
watching.
This
is
Columbus
connection.
