A
Keep
columbus
beautiful
is
all
about
keeping
your
environment
clean.
We
want
to
make
sure
you're
adopting
programs
like
recycling
and
reusing
household
items.
We
want
to
make
sure
you're
educated
on
what
we
recycle
and
what
can
be
reused.
We
have
programs
such
as
help
the
hooch
and
organizational
cleanups
where
you
can
get
in
your
community
and
make
sure
you're
living
in
a
litter-free
area.
A
B
A
Hello,
welcome
to
another
episode
of
earth
notes
today
we're
going
to
talk
trash
with
a
special
guest.
Today,
I'm
going
to
talk
to
you
all
about
those
new
carts.
You
may
have
seen
on
your
curbside
and
if
you
haven't
already
seen
them,
they're
headed
your
way,
so
today,
you're
going
to
learn
all
about
how
you
can
properly
use
those
carts
and
what
you
need
to
know
to
make
sure
you're
aware
of
how
we're
moving
forward.
So
before
we
move
on
I'd
like
to
introduce
our
guest.
A
A
C
A
C
C
A
good
question
we
can
put
aluminum
cans,
newspapers
cardboard
boxes
when
you
break
them
down,
makes
it
easier
for
the
stuff
to
come
out
once
collection
is
going
on
and
basically
there's
a
lot
of
things
that
we
don't
collect.
Now
that
we're
trying
to
get
the
citizens
aware
of.
A
C
Oh,
that's
that's
great!
That's
great!
First
of
all,
big
giant
toys
that
are
made
of
plastic.
We
really
can't
take
those
things
because
they're
not
recyclable
styrofoam
is
another
big
deal,
it's
recyclable
in
some
areas,
but
here
in
columbus
we
cannot
accept
it.
Another
big
thing
that
we
get-
and
we
please
ask-
is
the
plastic
bags
that
you
get
from
the
grocery
store.
We
cannot
use
those,
we
can't
recycle
recyclable.
A
So
you
heard
that
we
want
to
make
sure
those
plastic
bag
pillows.
We
typically
have.
We
can't
put
them
in
our
recycling
bin
and,
most
importantly,
we
can't
bag
our
recyclables
correct.
That's
right,
so
we
have
to
place
them
in
their
single
stream
and
do
you
know,
is
there
a
I've
seen
before
there's
a
method
to
stacking
our
recycle
bin?
Do
you
have
any
tips
for
how
someone
should
properly
put
things
in
their
recycle
bin?
Should
paper
be
at
the
bottom?
Should
we
put
paper
towards
the
top?
What's
your
recommendation.
C
C
A
C
A
Okay-
and
we
talked
about
landfilled-
I
think
one
thing
that's
most
important
to
know
is
that
our
trash
actually
goes
somewhere,
and
so
it's
important
for
us
to
try
to
do
all
we
can
to
reduce
our
waste.
One
way
to
do
that
is
to
always
keep
up
with
keep
columbus,
beautiful,
we're
always
having
drop-off
events
and
different
ways
that
you
can
dispose
of
your
event,
your
materials
without
ever
capacitating
our
landfill.
A
How
important
is
that,
I
think
that's
the
number
one
thing
to
focus
on
is
to
recycle,
to
give
our
landfill
the
longer
life
and
to
make
sure
we're
helping
you
all
do
your
job
as
easy
as
you
can
so.
Can
you
tell
us
why
we've
switched
to
this,
how
it's
beneficial
that
we
have
this
new
cart
system?
What's
some
helpful
things
that
the
city
can
see
from
that.
C
So
you'll
see
a
more
streamlined,
more
easier
pickup.
The
trucks
will
run
they'll
come
by
as
long
as
you
have
the
proper
spacing,
which
is
three
foot
three
foot
apart
from
anything
on
either
side.
So
what'll
help
with
that
is
your
trash
will
come
by
it'll,
be
a
lot
faster.
Your
recycle
will
come
by
it'll,
be
a
lot
faster.
Your
yard
waste
will
come
by
it'll,
be
a
lot
faster.
You
won't
have
to
worry
about
multiple
cans
sitting
out
there.
You
won't
have
to
worry
about
this
and
that.
A
A
So
I
think
I
am
very
okay
with
saying
that
this
is
going
to
be
an
innovative
way
for
us
to
move
forward
to
help
us
with
some
of
the
litter
things
that
we're
facing
in
the
city
and
to
eliminate
litter
and
blight.
I
mean
how
unsightly
is
it
when
you
drive
by
and
there's
just
a
load
of
trash?
We
don't
want
that
in
front
of
our
homes
and
we
definitely
don't
want
that
to
be
the
vision
and
the
eyesore
part
of
our
city.
A
So
we're
very
appreciative
for
all
public
works
is
doing
to
innovate
this
and
we're
looking
forward
to
answering
some
questions.
So
we
didn't
get
any
questions
today,
but
I'm
going
to
highlight
maybe
a
few
of
the
top
questions.
We've
gotten
so
far
about
the
new
cart
system.
So
the
number
one
question
is
what,
if
we
need
more
space,
what
if
we
need?
Another
cart,
are
you
able
to
answer
that
for
us
today
about
what
they
would
need
to
do
for
that.
C
I'm
not
able
to
answer
that
because
they
haven't
made
that
decision,
yet
it
is
in
the
works
that
will
come
out
later
on
once
the
director
makes
that
the
choice,
but
right
now
we
can't,
but
in
order
to
get
more
space
in
your
96
gallon
trash
can
we
are
advising
you
to
call
and
get
a
recycle.
Can.
A
Perfect,
so
that
goes
back
to
that
conversation
about
making
sure
you
know
what's
recyclable
and
doing
what
you
can
to
eliminate
needing
another
cart.
So
we
will
have
more
information
to
come
as
they
make
decisions
towards
that.
But
for
now
you
can
recycle
it.
That's
the
most
important
thing
to
do,
and
so
what
about
the
placement?
What
if
you
have
an
issue
with
placement?
Will
their
cart
be
missed
in
that
day
of
collection
or
what
happens
if
there's
not
enough
spacing
or
if
there's
something
in
their
cart?
That's
not
allowed.
C
They
will
sit.
A
tag
should
be
a
tag
on
top
of
your
car,
recycle
cart
or
whether
it
be
your
trash
cart
or
your
yard.
Waste
cart.
If
there's
any
issue
with
that,
it
should
be
a
highlighted
marker
on
that
you'll
be
able
to
see
what
your
problem
was
and
know
why
your
recyclables
are
trash
or
whatever
was
missed
for
that
day
or
wasn't
picked
up
for
that
day.
Okay,.
A
C
Three
foot
of
space
is
going
to
be
the
biggest
thing
that
and
contamination,
please
it
be
advised
of
everything
that
goes
inside.
That
can't
that
cart
is
on
the
top
of
the.
Can
it's
very
very
easy
to
read
very
easy
to
understand
and
it's
on
the
top
of
each
one
of
them.
Okay,.
A
C
Yes,
columbusrecycles.org,
I
think.
C
A
A
Okay-
and
you
guys
have
all
the
information
for
these
new
carts,
but
we
want
to
answer
all
of
your
important
questions.
We
know
this
is
a
different
method
for
recycling
and
integrated
waste
all
together,
and
we
want
to
make
sure
we're
doing
what
we
can
as
keep
columbus,
beautiful
and
the
department
of
public
works
to
make
this
a
smooth
transition
for
you.
A
So
how
cute
and
useful
is
this
peachy
clean
and
green
columbus
litter
bat?
I
literally
tie
it
to
the
back
of
my
seat.
I
put
receipts
tissue
paper,
old
masks
and
different
things
that
I
collect
as
I'm
driving
and
instead
of
littering
it.
I
toss
it
in
this
bag
and
now
I'm
about
to
walk
it.
To
my
dumpster.
A
Nice
easy
to
use.
I
toss
it
back
as
I
am
driving
and
just
toss
it
in
here.
How
effective
the
city
of
columbus
and
keep
columbus
beautiful
adopt-a-spot
program
allows
for
volunteers,
civic
organizations,
businesses
and
individuals
to
keep
a
portion
of
our
public
areas
beautified
and
properly
maintained
in
order
to
find
out
how
you
can
adopt
a
spot.
